Review 1：The property is away from everything. The money paid was far too much for what we received. Breakfast is made up of toast, muesli and cereal, tinned fruit and yoghurt. The room we stayed in was clean, yet neither fridge nor ac worked, tv has only 4 channels. For me it wasn't worth it, even if you are out and about during the day and only need a place to rest your head.

Review 2：The only thing we hope to control it is the huge number of small flies in the toilet.

Review 6：As a one night stay whilst in town for a party, this room was perfect for our needs. Clean and comfortable and breakfast included, the motel is in a quiet area away from the town so you will probably need a car.

Review 7：Right underneath the end of the local airport runway. A fridge in a large cupboard does not constitute a studio room! Lost the way with customer interaction, felt a bit institutionalised. Drunk man snoring on communal patio for hours in the night after waking us up at 1am on their return. Uncontrolled children running riot on said communal wooden (noisy) patio/deck. Paper thin walls. Location well away from civilisation/amenities.

Review 12：The size of our room did not reflect the price we paid - it was so small! There was also no A/C (it was very warm) and the bed meant we had the worst night of sleep for our whole holiday (which included a motorhome). Such a disappointment given the warm welcome and pleasant surrounds.

Review 18：Absolutely freezing at night (Nov) with drafts coming in from all directions. We slept with the heater on because the room temperature dropped to about 16 degrees. The guest lounge is icy cold. The shower is not good at all; water trickles out and it takes about 5 minutes for the water to warm up. Bathroom is depressing.

I recommend the Chang Thai restaurant for evening meal & the Landing cafe at the marina for breakfast. Hai hei beach is very nice also, one of the best in NZ.

Review 66：We spent two nights here. Two adults travelling with their mum. Had a one bedroom apartment with a spa. The room was spacious and well equipped with kitchen facilities. The heating was sufficient and the location was great for day tripping around Rotorua.

The staff were great with giving us hints and tips on what to do, and when to go to hot water beach at low tide - they even let us borrow a spade! Only a few minutes drive to the local town which was great to get food and drink.

Review 69：I think the standard twin room was overpriced. It was 1950s original, particularly the bathroom (except for new vanity), and a bit dark and dingy. It was $110, but I think $80 would have been a fairer price.

Review 70：We stayed two nights, very quiet, extremely clean. The owners were more than hospitable. I wandered around and helped myself to their feijoas (was allowed to do so) . Breakfast included in the price. Definitely would recommend, and would be our first choice if or when we return to Whitianga.
