Hotel Xanadu is located in the small town Kumbor, at the Bay of Kotor. It is 250 feet away from the beach and offers air-conditioned accommodation, free WiFi and 2 outdoor pools.

Review 1：Although there is free wi-fi indeed but most of the times it is slow and does not work appropriately. Furthermore we were dissatisfied with the dinner because even though there was choice, they simply did not cook pretty well.

Review 2：The ladies at the reception were always ready to help. They speak proper English and they gave us great tips during our holiday. The hotel is clean which really matters! It was good to arrive back here every day.

Review 3：Apartments are basic. We choose this hotel due to other reviews, which said rooms were basic but the "Chef" was top notch and food great. I think that review must surely have been a joke. The evening buffet was awful. In two weeks of travelling it was the worst food we had come across. Due to this we told them we would be checking out in the morning. 140 euro for one night was way over the top.

Review 4：Apart from the unsmiling pool bar attendant who was also serving at breakfast the next morning all the other employees very welcoming and helpful. location was great and the beach was 1 minute away. Nice clean swimming pool

Review 5：There really isn't much close by to this hotel, you are literally on the side of a highway. We didn't realize this at the time we booked. It didn't help that the taxi driver from the Dubrovnik airport charged us double what he should have to get there. We had to change our plans and leave early and were charged 30% of the room rate for the remainder of our booking. Unfortunately, hotel staff were unable to compromise on this. The breakfast was really not good but there aren't many other food options close by.

Review 8：This hotel has amazing hospitality, delicious food (indeed I am frequent traveler and this hotel has one of the best chefs I have ever tasted). We are more then satisfied with the hotel, but the food is really really the best part of it. Staff is amazing, very calm, patient and hospital. We felt like at home

Review 9：Myself and my husband were the only English guests staying at this hotel at the same time as a large group of Russians, with several babies and young children in tow, who would completely ignore us if we encountered them by the swimming pool. That and the two rather grim-faced and sullen dining room waiters made our stay very unenjoyable. I noted that they seemed to spend most of their time standing and watching people and what they were putting on their plates. They reminded me of guards in a prison canteen. That and the fact that the subterranean 'restaurant' had no atmosphere and no natural light created a rather tense, unpleasant and unfriendly dining experience. It was with relief that we would leave the 'restaurant' each day after breakfast and dinner, and with even greater relief when we checked out of the hotel on the fourth morning. The hotel is located in a rather shabby and rundown area, a few miles outside of Herceg Novi. There seemed to be a lot of waste ground and rubbish dumped in areas of waste ground with the smell of rotting waste. What was terribly sad was to see the large numbers of feral cats scavanging for food in the bins. A number of the restaurants were boarded up and the ones that were open did not seem to be serving food, and just seemed to have locals drinking. The area seemed quite deserted and did not feel very safe and we felt more comfortable going to Herceg Novi for a lunchtime snack and to use the swimming areas there.

Review 10：Beautiful sea views from room balcony and swimming pool area. The swimming pool and surrounding sunbathing terrace is very well maintained and kept clean by the staff. The Reception and cleaning staff are very friendly and pleasant with all the Receptionists that we spoke to with very fluent English.

Review 11：For me as a slightly disabled person the location, and the various steps down to the beach were rather difficult and I think this should be mentioned, also you could it walk to the nearest village had to take a bus or taxi

Review 13：It's a little bit noisy due to the traffic on the main road which is right in front of the hotel. But with a closed window it's not that big a deal.

Review 14：Great 4 star hotel worth every cent paid for our stay. Very nice and helpful staff, classy restaurant, nice swimming pool. We were delighted with the variety of food and drinks on the breakfast buffet. The dinner was also served on a buffet and it was great. My girlfriend and I are vegetarians but there were always several meals without meat that we could choose from. The beach is very close and is accessed through a tunel under the main road.

Review 30：Dangerous location for going in and out by car, it's located in a curve. The bathroom needs definately some change... it's probably too old, shower especially without curtain is not a great idea, the hot water coming from boiler might irritate some people. The wi-fi network doesn't work so well... it frequently cut off. Some of the waiters are not so attentive.

Review 31：The beautiful swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, the food at breakfast and at dinner, the menu was changing every day. the reception staff was friendly and helpful. The general atmosphere with nice walls colour and paintings. Very good deal for money even if it can be considered more as a 3 stars than 4.

Personally asked the stuff to help me with some organizational details, we communicated via email, as my mother is not a very experienced traveller - and they were very helpful.

Review 38：Although we had a presidential apartment with half-board arrangements + hotel has 4 starts, meals (dinner and breakfast) served within this package were significantly below our expectation - we spend years in Italy where we felt price is not low, but it was well compensated what we got. It was very sad to see that out side 1/2 pension, restaurant was serving a-la-carte menu with quite decetn contents and it was not option to take "room only or B&B base" and choose to have a-la-carte....
