Review 1：Not a bad experience, but would have liked a walk-in shower.

Review 2：Almost everything: Staff, food, setting, facilities. This is a fantastic art deco building with a fab restaurant.

Review 9：i feel the hotel has had its day & needs some investment. Whilst we stayed both the lift & the wifi were not available on 2 days. We had our toddler & our 4 month old baby, we were not informed that access to the hotel was via stairs only so had to carry pram a lot. The staff helped a lot too, but on our last day the manager offered us to use the lift that did actually go to the ground floor but they don't normally use it as this is an area no longer used. That would have been very helpful from day 1 and my back was hurting from lifting the pram so much.

Review 10：The views were stunning. Breakfast was good. Really comfy bed. House keeping were excellent & the turn down service was a nice touch. The porter greeted us from our car by name and helped with our luggage - he was truly excellent.

Review 11：All of the staff are very polite except (I think the head waitress) whoseems to have excessive mood swings - polite then downright rude &always forgets something. The road is a problem and disturbs anytranquility. It's a hotel for the Nouveau Riche, not really classybut expensive enough to fake it....

Review 14：A beautiful building and good breakfast. Air con this summer was a godsend. Salo is very pleasant. Don't forget to turn right as you leave the hotel.

Review 15：GPS could not find the hotel and almost directed us over a cliff as the shortest distance to the hotel. Very easy to find the hotel once we knew where it was located.

Review 16：The location of the hotel was great. Just a short walk to shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful meal on the hotel's terrace while we watched the sun disappear. The hotel had a pool which was great for cooling off in during July.

Review 30：Our room had magnificent lake views, was very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The staff attention to detail was excellent and there was always someone there to help. There was a good choice of food and all cooked to a high standard. The pool and grounds were lovely. This is not the cheapest hotel, but you get what you pay for! We had a fabulous stay. Would highly recommend.

Review 31：It would have been nice to be informed about the high fees when ordering drinks in the hotel garden. We were negatively surprised when we found out at the check-out that we were charged 20 EUR for 2 small beers and some simple snacks (olives and crackers) that we ordered on our first evening in the hotel garden. Main course at the dinner at the hotel - two small pieces of a sea bass, was not worth the money. My impression after the stay is that this hotel is best suited for elderly wealthy people.

Review 32：Stay in Salo was a part of our honeymoon so we chose the most romantic hotel we could find in Salo. Laurin is located in a unique historical villa close to center of Salo. The garden and pool area were beautiful, and it was possible to access the pool for a swim any time. Very polite and kind stuff. Silent and peaceful place at night, but some noise from the car road just outside the hotel during the day (but it did not bother us).

Review 33：Had to sit in hall to get WiFi. Dinner - very small serves and expensive for what you got. Eg - asked about vegetables and told I would get pumpkin and snow peas . Three thin stripes of pumpkin and two snow peas sliced and scattered with my fillet of fish. Service was excellent though.

They saved our day by helping us with information regarding boat trip and visit to wine farm, on a very short notice.The city itself was calm and clean. Review 42：The hotel is a beautiful piece of carefully preserved architecture, with a real luxury feel. Our room (Dolce Vita suite) had a marvellous terrace with a great view of the lake. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Review 44：It is rather quaint and antique hotel that reminds me on some old novels. It has a good location and view of the lake even though the hotel is across the road from the lake. You can stroll along the lake by following the foothpath which is very closed to the hotel (across the hotel, the lake side is part of private properties and not accsible to public) Very charming and helpful staff as we arrived rather late at nite. So they offered us some apperitif after checking in.

Review 45：Hotel staff just couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was just perfect. Breakfast was very good for continental style. Hotel is Art Deco style and is just lovely.

Review 46：Finding the hotel using our SAT NAV was a problem as it took us to a lane at the back of the hotel where there is no access. Always go into the centre of Salo and then put the address in again. That works!

Review 47：All the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke different languages.Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast and evening meals on the terrace overlooking the garden and lake added to the relaxed feel of the holiday. The hotel was a beautiful building inside and out.

Review 48：No information about the hotel, area, room service menu was providedon arrival. Usually when you stay in a hotel, there is an informationpack as standard and considering this is a four star hotel I wassurprised that this was lacking. Prices of food/drink for roomservice was quite high in the main, the worst of it being a pot of teafor two in the room, 8 euros! Also, to launder and iron one shirt was8 euros! For a superior double room, I was disappointed to realisethat two larger single beds had been pulled together. The bed was verycomfortable though.

Review 50：The staff and Nicoletta could not have made my stay better. I was traveling with my small dog (check out the hotel on Facebook) and he was treated like a prince. Dined at the hotel in the magnificent dining room and had a truly memorable dinner. I would recommend Hotel Laurin over and over again.

Review 51：This was our first time visiting Lake Garda and even with a GPS we had some difficulties finding the hotel. We didn't realise that we had to come off the main road to access the town of Salo. but we shall know the next time.

Rooms should be updated to 'international standard' which does not mean 'useless luxury', but small things that make your staying 'unforgettable'. What rooms offer besides maybe a nice view to the bay is very basic ...need to improve the details.

But a lovely walk and very quickly along lakeside. Breakfast was fine...there could have been a bit more choice.

Review 67：The welcome we had was amazing, ravinder carried our luggage to our wonderful room that had a lake view. The breakfast had choices for everyone and the waiting staff were always there. The staff overall were always smiling and very helpful, Nicoletta the owner was sometimes milling about and chatting making sure that everything was ok. Little touches like a complimentary glass of Prosecco each day shows that you are valued and the service is first class. We attended a garden party in the hotel grounds that had live jazz musicians and amazing food. We will be back without a doubt.
