Reviews for Camino Real Zaashila Huatulco

Review 1:Food was poor and service was slow. A real pity that they can't offer better quality of food when the facilities are otherwise perfect. Even the buffet food in an all inclusive resort is much better than á la carte here. The hotel is located on a steep hill so not recommended for older guests or guests with small children. Internet access is charged a hefty $10/day and was not working in the room. I did not pay this at check out.

Review 2:Location, beach, pool (best I have seen), suite with private pool.

Review 3:Wifi should be included with your room, you should not have to pay extra. But it is free up by the reception area.

Review 4:The grounds are beautiful, great pool, and beautiful private beach. The rooms have a great view, the ocean is right there!! Very friendly staff!! Smaller resort which I prefer!

Review 5:If I just have to say something probably would be to advice that if you have a baby (as we did) try reserving a hotel room in the beachfront or lower floors otherwise stairs can be a hazzle.

Review 6:Very private place with all you need. Staff was very kind and prompt. Food was excellent although you run out of choices if you stick only to the hotel as it is not a larger all inclusive with varieties of options. Facilities are a bit old and run down, but maintained properly and functioning good.

Review 7:My husband found objects in the food twice. The restaurants are very average, even mediocre for the price. Staff members came in our room even with the "do not disturb sign" up. I thought that was very unprofessional. Overall very expensive for the experience

Review 8:The pool, beach and location were great. The room was spacious and comfortable

Review 9:The rollaway bed was very uncomfortable for my son. If you must accept one and can't get a room with two double beds, then demand they give you a comfortable mattress.

Review 10:The beach seemed private, the views were great, and the stay was very comfortable with a great breakfast buffet.

Review 11:Food! Prices too high, portions very small and below average quality...the hotel has little details such as rooms maintenance or not free wi-fi (ridiculous in such a hotel category) but the food is what really hits you too bad!

Review 12:Relaxing spot and very big pool

Review 13:The kitchen needs to be updated and equipped. What's the point of having a stove if there isn't any pots around? Microwave and coffee maker need to be part of the kitchen, I think a list of items should be provided and signed when returned.

Review 14:We liked the cleanliness, the pool, the view from balconies, the staff.

Review 15:<the meal in the restaurant azul in the evening wasn't so good Music of some guest in the beach, loud and the guest next our room TV the whole day and night

Review 16:The whole staff is very kindly,Breakfast delicious. Hotel and Room very clean Excelent view

Review 17:If you pay thousands of MXN dollars you should be in the position to expect at least paid WiFi. They extra charge on this which is ridiculous. Further instructions at the helpdesk when beeing welcomed should meet the price you pay, which wasn't the case. As a guest you need to get information on your own. Also, it can not be that you pay for still water in the room.

Review 18:Place and View. Very clean rooms.

Review 19:Way too many mosquitoes all over.

Review 20:Loved the fact that it was not crowded or noisy, as are other hotels in the area. Very relaxing, beautiful private beach.

Review 21:Some houses (although they did some restauration works during our stay) seemed a bit worn out, rough tides at the beach on a permanent basis which made swimming in the sea impossible. Free Internet not available at all spots of the estate.

Review 22:Amazing large pool, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, excellent, delicious food (no matter if breakfast-buffet or evening dinner in one of the two restaurants), child friendly, walkable distance to the centre of Tangolunda, quiet, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful sandy beach

Review 23:that the wifi is so expensive, should be included. the price of the breakfast buffet should be provided in the room to make the decision based on facts.

Review 24:private pool with view on the sea and the possibility to order the meals to the room and enjoy them on the private balcony with pool. the massage (offered by a partnership, needs to be paid separately of bill) was excellent and is really worth-while

Review 25:Food and drinks at the restaurant was very overpriced and of average quality. However we were not impressed with any of the food in the Huatulco area.

Review 26:The staff will go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. Stunning views, beautiful pool and grounds.

Review 27:Hard walks up and down. No elevators (but it keeps you fit!)

Review 28:Nice old hotel, but it need some renovation! If not, it will loose its unique charm and will turn into an old hotel only! That would be a pity. The lady employees were great and very serviceminded. We enjoyed the dinner at the beach restaurant Deep Blue. A wonderful location directly above the beach.

Review 29:We had A King Suite. The room smelled. Room was far away from pool. Kitchen had no glasses, plates, utensils

Review 30:The main pool area and beach

Review 31:No minibar, they promised one but didnt deliver.

Review 32:Cleanliness

Review 33:The rooms

Review 34:Very hard bed. Bathtub drain issue was not rectified despite numerous complaints. Maid service sub standard.

Review 35:There is nothing To do un THE prpperty.

Review 36:The fact they insisted on an exchange rate that exceeded the current value.

Review 37:The beach, the facility, the staff

Review 38:There's no free internet.

Review 39:Excellent location and attentive staff.

Review 40:Staff at reception limited english.hotel needs some updating

Review 41:staff very slow

Review 42:Location is beautiful- except view of some ugly hotels

Review 43:Everything

Review 44:Limpieza, locación, comida, habitaciones, todo

Review 45:The buffet needs better options for breakfast. I did not care much for their french toast..

Review 46:The hotel does not share a cove with other resorts thus giving it a more personal and secluded feeling than it's rivals. The food is reasonably priced and they have an excellent selection of various ceviches and other seafoods. I recommend renting the rooms with private pools for a romantic experience or just hanging out with a group of friends. Room service is provided as well.. Try the Cafe de Olla..

Review 47:It is expensive to eat at the hotel, if the breakfast is not included. The prices of the cocktails and drinks are ridiculously high. You can expect to pay almost 15 USD for a cocktail. If are near the swimming pool or at the beach you will not want to drive 20 minutes to get a drink somewhere else. I hope that the hotel reconsiders the Price of the food and cocktails. The quality of the cocktails and the asked prices do not match.

Review 48:The facilities, the location, and the layout of the hotel were my favorite part of the trip. The swimming pool was always clean and warm. The Azul Profundo restaurante serves delicious food and the prices correspond to the quality of the menu. It was great to have dinner at that restaurant, near the sea. We will come back for sure.

Review 49:Place was stunning, was a dream resort, but staff is slower than molasses. I always waited 10 minutes longer than i was used to waiting, but it seemed take even 5 more minutes for the service to be provided. Def going back!

Review 50:The furniture and the blumbing are somewhat tired and need replacement. The front desk staff needs better training . The hotel water sport facilities are very limited.

Review 51:One of the best bays and virtually private beaches in Huatulco. Mature and luxuriant vegetation in a beatifully landscaped resort. All suites are oceanfront with beautiful views of the bay. The breakfast restaurant is very close to the beach . Inexpensive and efficient taxi service to the nearby Crucecita village with many good restaurants, shops, entertainment etc.

Review 52:With a hotel of this stature it seems there should be more than one dining option each night. Not knowing what dining will be available from night to night encourages guests to dine outside the hotel. Hopefully, Zaashila won't be going to an all inclusive concept!

Review 53:The bellboys and wait staff around the pool are excellent.

Review 54:We are able people and have no problems climbing stairs, but it may be an impossible place for someone with disabilities.

Review 55:The location, the fantastic room with private pool, the service

Review 56:The rooms a very clean but they required maintenance. I was surprised that there was not coffee maker, free drinking water or free internet in the room. It was disappointing given the price of the hotel room.

Review 57:We stayed at the hotel at low season; the hotel was very quiet. The beach and open areas are VERY clean. The staff is very friendly; the hotel has a private beach with a great view.

Review 58:The leak in the bathtub/shower.

Review 59:We really liked the location of the hotel and the beautiful fauna that surrounds it. We want to acknowledge the following staff for their excellent customer service and friendliness: Issac-Front Desk, The 2 Guillermos-Restaurant, Jonathan-Room Service, Jonatahan-Driver.

Review 60:The food was sometimes wonderful and other times awful . We ended upordering take out or leaving the property for dinner which wasinconvenient. There was one head waiter who actively hates his job andpeople at the hotel.

Review 61:We loved the pool. I had two massages which were excellent. Thelocation was wonderful. Many employees were trying really hard to makeit a great stay.

Review 62:Staff not always as attentive as could be expected. Food relatively expensive and not of superior quality (in relation to a 4-5 star resort).

Review 63:Beautiful setting, clean surroundings, wonderful weather for tanning and swimming.

Review 64:They (the local government) need to ban the jet skis from the bay, or goto a type of jet ski that does not produce noxious (and cancerous I mayadd) fumes that pollute the beach goers.

Review 65:The location and the design of the hotel. The hotel is unique in that itis not cookie cutter like other hotels. It combines the layout of theland with a unique design of the hotel while still providing excellentfacilities within the hotel, while still being right on the beach.

Review 66:The rooms are spacious but need some maintanace modernizing airconditioning that is noisy and some paint on the woodwork would give an other impression Gardens and façades are tip top Pool area also very well maintained

Review 67:We stayed at the hotel at low season practically the pool and beach areas for ourselves the staff is super they had genuinely pleasure in serving. A great vacation for great rates if you can travel low season

Review 68:Maintenance ....rooms are in bad shape......some of them look old and dirty...walls and closets looks bad...regarding your next questions i would only recommend it if you improve maintenance...service is very good...employes are friendly...service is very good...reception very slow

Review 69:Location

Review 70:Gym was do far from my room

Review 71:The landscapr I had from my 52 room, how pool looks like in the night, and the samiling and excellent people service

Review 72:Service was not great. Lots off staff but never around when you needed them
