Reviews for Domaine Long Pre

Review 1:Around November 1st, there is not any sunshine in the lower bungalows! And the facilities were cold on arrival...

Review 2:Nice area, good location and surrounding

Review 3:Menu was very limited but it may have been due to the time of year. It was fine for us coming back from the circuit as we just wanted to eat but weren't after haute cuisine. No toaster in our kitchen, just a rack to cook toast over the electric hob, which was a bit strange but just about worked.

Review 4:15 minutes from the Spa Circuit. Friendly staff. Accommodation was clean and sufficient.

Review 5:the heating in the bathroom didn't work - other bungalows had some problems with some of the radiators as well - and if you look for hotel quality tidyness you might get a bit disappointed .

Review 6:The area is beautiful and very calm. The bungalow is specious, the bed was comfortable, especially with our own duvet and bed sheets. If you look for something comfortable but not too fancy or wanna spend summer holidays there it is great. And the lady at the reception was very kind and helpful and super sufficient with the whole payment process.

Review 7:No WiFi in the rooms. Over priced food, when we asked about food at the restaurant on site they told me that the burgers were what they were known for. We were all expecting homemade burgers and what we got was a frozen burger dry bun and tasted cheap when it cost 13-16 Euros per burger

Review 8:The surroundings were lovely

Review 9:twin beds were small and close wifi only in reception and restaurant building and the shower have some tricks for proper function

Review 10:great place beside the river, kitchen & cutlery, cozy and clean

Review 11:Poorly equipped kitchen (no grill, few utensils, no tea towels), generally quite dirty, mildew on shower curtain, sink plug broken, smelt damp, uncomfortable beds, horrid pillows.

Review 12:Nice quiet location, good TV, parking outside

Review 13:nothing really, all was very good

Review 14:Quiet, and very relaxing, close to shopping village, meet many other friendly people, not too far from Spa Francochamps circuit, would stay there any next year

Review 15:No Wifi

Review 16:As a Race Team, racing at Spa Circuit, the accomodation was perfect. Plenty of space in the living area, plenty of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. Parking right next to the chalet.

Review 17:The shower was clogged and nobody took care of it so I had to do it myself. The bed linen I requested were not in the room when we arrived.

Review 18:Very nice location, quiet and relaxing.

Review 19:towels would be nice, and i tried to get in touch to arrange some to be put in our chalet but no answer for a long time. no problem though, not a huge deal. sofa bed quite uncomfortable.

Review 20:location was beautiful handy for where we needed to be next day flexible arrival times, we arrived at 12:30am and left early, they were very good about this. facilities in room good

Review 21:The shop was practically empty - breakfast bread and croissants were not delivered until too late in the mornings

Review 22:The setting was beautiful Very close to F1 racetrack which was what we wanted

Review 23:The mattress had a hole in it and was dirty. We weren't told at check in we needed to get sheets & covers, had to go back to get them. There was a hole in them. Handle of the bathroom was loose, screwes were loose on other stuff. Kitchen plug for the light was greasy. A real let down for 180 euro a night! It needs some proper maintenance.

Review 24:Nothing really

Review 25:The mattresses are old/cheap and sink in the middle, the bathroom ceiling is mouldy, the shower head holder and shower curtain are broken, parts of the carpeted floor were damp, late in the evening the swimming pool was occupied by very drunk, loud and completely naked Easter Europeans.

Review 26:Set in a beautiful location in the nature; there is plenty to do on-site and also excellent as a base to explore this part of Ardennes.

Review 27:Infestation of bats which were seen leaving from patios of the bungalows; heard walking in the ceilings midnight until 2 am. Our apartment 336 smelled musty; carpets, curtains and sofa cover needed cleaning or to be replaced. My husband and I did not sleep the three nights we were there.

Review 28:Bungalow location was excellent with views overlooking the mountains and a babbling brook within 2 minutes walking distance. The staff was informative and congenial. Parking excellent. Nearby picturesque villages, grocery stores, Grand Coo Waterfalls and Plopsa. The swimming pool was standard size, clean and refreshing on a hot summer day.

Review 29:It's a shame many of the Dutch who go there think that getting drunk and behaving as louts constitutes a holiday. It may for them but not for the people around them.

Review 30:Beautiful location near river, well maintained grounds

Review 31:There is no Wi-Fi, no fixed telephone in the room.

Review 32:Space, Green, Fresh air, Silence, ... we can forget stress. This is the best for the trip with the children.

Review 33:Very Friendly welcome. Even though there was a misunderstanding on our part (there were two of us and the 1st person to arrive was not the person who made the booking) the staff dealt with it in a very courteous manner. Even though we did not eat in the cafeteria it looked inviting.

Review 34:Maintenance and cleansiness could be better. The food in the restaurant is mediocre (burgers).

Review 35:Great location, spacious park, lovely region, friendly staff, river and pool on the premises.

Review 36:Small print says bedding not included so does bump up the cost a little.rooms could do with a little more attention to detail on the cleaning.

Review 37:Great location. Nice pool, good site overal And would come back if going to spa again.

Review 38:I have not any bad experience during my stay so I can't complaint.

Review 39:The location is excellent, best for relaxing your mind and body...perfect spot for relaxation from routine life.

Review 40:No oven in kitchen, reception was closed very early

Review 41:We booked this place for 6 persons in a small house and did mountainbiking and kayaking in the surroundings.

Review 42:Spiders around the beds. The quality of beds and terrible smell of mould

Review 43:They leave the key in the envelope in front of the door in case of late arrival. That is good.

Review 44:...everything shuts at Wednesday lunchtime, so no-one on reception, shop shut, restaurant shut - everything! This wouldn't be so bad but you must hire sheets and towels when you get there - fortunately we found some otherwise it would have been a disaster. When I told reception before we left, the lady said "we should have sent you an email but didn't"!

Review 45:Extremely cheap and perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay, which is what we required, but...

Review 46:Wifi non existinf. Even in the designated area only limited. Could easily be fixed. Toilet opening in kitchen area without extraction fan.

Review 47:Nice setting. Nice bungalo

Review 48:The only roblem as the pillow which was a bit too high for us, and the shower which could not decide on whether to keep the water cold or hot.

Review 49:The location, surrounding area, the cities/villages nearby, the bar and swimming pool. The staff was very helpful. The bar is good and fast in preparing orders. We came for one night and decided to stay for an extra night.

Review 50:The weather was a bit Cold. The heating system was programmed to automatically turned off, 4 hours after it was turned on. That meant that it got really Cold during the night, unless we got up and turned on the heat Again. Wifi was rather slow and only available in the reception-Building.

Review 51:Very nice surroundings. Nice spacy bungalow with dishwasher, microwave-oven, refriguator and so on. Very good value for Money. Helpful staff.

Review 52:We traveled with our 9 months old baby. Sadly, our neighbors were too noisy at night and the walls aren't really soundproof. It wasn't so bad since we stayed only for a night.

Review 53:We like everything in the room. we didnt have trouble to cook. They have what you need. My daughter had space to use her walker. The outdoor is beautiful, just sad we couldn't stay longer.

Review 54:They don't provide towes and linies. The bathroom was not very clean, some strands of hair and smelled sewer.

Review 55:Nice place, close to nature. Rooms are rommy

Review 56:Had to drive into malmedy to get basics as on site and local shops closed before we arrived at 6.30. Even malmedy supermarkets closed at 8pm: be warned if you are arriving late. Also, apartment was smoking and smelt of it (not aware when we booked) and there were lots of cigarette butts littering our patio area and the site in general. Wifi only in bistro.

Review 57:Only stayed one night but lots of space. Lovely surroundings and a peaceful forest walk with great views. The few staff we saw were very helpful. Well equipped kitchenette and large family living room. Plenty of hot water. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Swimming pool closed but given coupon to use local pool in Trois Ponts.

Review 58:No towels and linen and no way of renting these if arriving after 13:00 on a Monday! No one to help if there is a problem after 13:00 on a Monday. Absolutely filthy apartment (102), cobwebs and dust everywhere, kitchen stained with grease, someone had emptied contents of nose on the wall by the bed and duvet was stained. Didn't appreciate being in a rural location and put in an apartment right under the main road. Patio furniture not clean. Plug socket in shower room was hanging off and hairs on toothbrush holder. That this was the last night of a two week trip away and it was so bad. Should have read reviews before booking

Review 59:Bar Staff were good. Beer was cold.

Review 60:Forgot have to bring your own bedlinnen. Could have reminded me or I missed it?

Review 61:Arrangements of organisation. Everything as agreed Good communication

Review 62:The place is a bit run down, the houses are ok for now but need some maintenance over the next couple of years or the amount of happy guests will decrease. For example our door would not lock from the inside, some furniture was broken and some kitchen materials were missing.

Review 63:Great location, staff and proper value for money

Review 64:Reception has very limited opening hours. House could have been cleaner.

Review 65:Domaine Long Pre provided with a big variety of facilities such as: pool, mini golf, tennis facilities. The area was very green and peaceful. They provided with cooking appliances as well, which was great!

Review 66:-Upkeeping of the place is not that good. Plenty of animal hairs dogs still stick to the sofas. -Email notices should be given in dual language either in English and France. Due to not knowing France we had not book for the bedliners and towel. So our stay was a bit upset.

Review 67:-room setting is good with separate kitchen and sleeping area. Dining area and kitchen is large and plenty of room to hold more than 4 guest. -we only stay for one night on transit from Slazburg to London hence we cannot comment very much on its location and facilities.

Review 68:No double beds, no wi-fi in the apartment.

Review 69:Very nice location, you can walk for hours in the sorrounding hills and woods. The apartment was clean and fully equipped, with a confortable terrace.

Review 70:furniture was tired seats were dirty second bedroom was very small with no room to walk between the beds could have been a little cleaner supermarket was a little expensive reception could have been open more hours

Review 71:area woods , facilities

Review 72:Not only does one have to bring one's own towels and bedsheets, one also has to assemble the bed. Reception opens at 9am and closes at 8pm which is very inconvenient. Food disgraceful. Neighbours arriving noisily in the middle of the night, revving engines and slamming doors.

Review 73:Location near my destination - Spa-Francorchamps Circuit - Staff very helpful when they can be found !

Review 74:Should make clear that sheets and towels are not included when booking. If late arrival a little uncomfortable but solved by hiring extra package for towels and sheets,

Review 75:Location. Nice staff.

Review 76:Could be a bit noisy with late night revellers but no more than other places.

Review 77:This is a holiday park with flats and little "Toy Town" chalets. We had a Chalet for six which gave the four of us plenty of room. It is a lovely spot beside the river and just 7 miles from the Spa circuit and three from Stavelot.

Review 78:Very little. Don't expect English to be the spoken language at all but it would have been nice if there was some english in the welcome pack particularly on the menu. This is a very minor point though.

Review 79:Great location to travel out from by bike and train. There is a bus stop at the entrance though I did not use this service. Good service at restaurant / bar. Good beer. Lovely river 50m from chalet. Great to be able to open, albeit heavy, patio doors and sit outside looking towards the river and trees beyond. Peaceful !

Review 80:Evening meals. Restaurant closed before the given time on two of our three nights stay! Staff apoligitic....too bust cleaning up. The bar also followed this pattern.

Review 81:Excellent base for our group of motorcyclists. Clean, basic, simple.

Review 82:The bedroom was tiny and had two single beds, a tiny window and your heads were positioend under a shelf. We slept on the sofa bed in the living room as the bedroom was small for a singel and ridiculous for a double.

Review 83:The location was excellent for the Spa race circuit.

Review 84:Did not like the smell of sewerage or the opening times for the reception and restaurant .

Review 85:Very clean, very accessible to Spa race circuit and an excellent swimming pool. Would recommend to a family who enjoy the outdoor life and want plenty of room for youngsters to explore.

Review 86:When you have a late check-in (after 1800) make sure to arrange the bed sheets as they are usually not included in the room price and have to be picked up from reception.

Review 87:The park is beautifully located next to a river. We were able to start walking immediately.

Review 88:- Cigarette odour! But we had no choice as we booked in last minute and there were not many apartments available. Non-smokers specifically mention and book a non-smoking apartment.

Review 89:- Great location for a weekend retreat.A river stream was behind our apartment, was great and peaceful. Will definitely visit again - Apartment was lovely, well equipped kitchen. - recreational activities for kids (slide, swings etc.)

Review 90:Very quiet, nice countryside and nature, very convient, clean. Good location near Spa Francorchamps race circuit and several nice small towns and villages (Spa, Malmedy, Stavelot...).

Review 91:Site information was only available in Dutch (not even French). Balcony was dirty but only needed a quick sweep.

Review 92:Bungalow was clean and comfortable and park facilities were good. The children's swimming pool was very popular with my three year old. Sheets and towels were available to hire but we saved money by bringing our own. Duvets and pillows were provided.

Review 93:Maintenance a bit under level and the waiters at the restaurant aren't very willing to help or understand another language (dutch, german, english) than their french.

Review 94:Just around the corner at Plopsa Coo. River in the backyard. Green. Nice apartment.

Review 95:No towels or bed linen provided. we had to rent these from reception. this was not offered when booking on-line. a very tired looking lodge inside and out, smells of mould, all cutlery and pans dirty, mattresses were about 2 inches deep and felt damp. no air con or fans provided, electric sockets hanging out of the walls. bathroom tap had no hot water and we had a few resident slugs living with us. Outside decking was dirty. reception area was poor and toilets were disgusting. bar closed at 10pm and i would'nt dream of eating there.Never again thank you. I'm sure in it's day this would have been a decent place but it's in need of a serious facelift.

Review 96:Not a lot to be fair. The area and setting were pleasant.

Review 97:Single beds are very small and low to the ground. Barking dog nearby. First floor apartments difficult to access with suite cases up concrete steep steps Office staff English not too good!!

Review 98:Beautiful location. Plenty of parking. Room very well appointed. TV's, cooking cutlery, china, pots, pans etc. Good value for money.

Review 99:- bad scent in the bungalow - bungalows were barely cleaned - bought cookies in the (almost empty) shop, seems they were 6 weeks beyond expiration date - no towels and sheets present, although ordered in advance + staff tried to let me pay double for it - staff was friendly but knew almost nothing. They all said "it was their first day on the job" - food was horrible, except for the ice cream

Review 100:- location: nice environment

Review 101:Will definitely book again when racing at Spa. We were 4 adults staying in a 1 bedroom apartment. The sofa bed was modern & very comfortable, not the springy, worn couch we were expecting. The decor/furniture was modern, the kitchen well appointed & bathroom clean with an excellent shower over the bath....we couldn't have asked for more at such a good price. The balcony was a good size, with outdoor furniture & a fab view of the river. Surroundings were stunning & very peaceful...quite a find!

Review 102:I was saddened that there was not enough staff, we went for a meal and the bar person was also the Chef and dealt with Reception duties so it was just as well there wasn't a lot of custom as we waited quite a long time for our food. Maybe that is why there wasn't many people using the facilities?

Review 103:A beautiful location surrounded by woodland with a small river that you could walk along. Peaceful but with plenty to do for families. We ate in the Brasserie and the food was good and reasonably priced. The few staff that were there were very nice. Quite near the pretty town of Stavelot. Lots of other typically Belgium towns to visit and very near the Spa racetrack which is why we were there. I would definitely go again.

Review 104:The on site restaurant closes at 8pm during the week and the shop ran out of fresh bread etc by 9am. The heated pool wasn't heated :( I think all of the above is probably due to it being low season though.

Review 105:Proximity to Stavelot and Spa-Francorchamps race track, 5 minutes drive. We were late checking in and they'd left keys out for us, an a map of where the 'bungalow' was, which was really helpful. There was a little pack of cleaning supplies in the room for us, which had all of the things you normally forget when self catering!

Review 106:We couldnt get or warm enough in the cabin

Review 107:Location

Review 108:Quiet place and very relaxing Close to the river. Excellent if you like to be in touch with Nature

Review 109:When booking through Booking.com it is not clear that sheets and towels are not included in the price.

Review 110:Reception staff not very efficient. second year here and still the same vagueness.

Review 111:Good location for Spa race circuit and Stavelot town

Review 112:Not a lot

Review 113:Lovely location

Review 114:Not much in shop and menu not very good

Review 115:Accomodation very good

Review 116:location & nature

Review 117:staff is rude (the lady at counter), price is on higher side, and no wifi ,

Review 118:location

Review 119:Smell. Too much out dated

Review 120:Price

Review 121:Excellent location near Spa Francorchamps racing circuit, quiet and nice place, a lot of woods, grass and nearby river.

Review 122:Should have paid attention to the need to bring our own toiletries and towels.

Review 123:The very 'campy' atmosphere.

Review 124:Poor choice in the shop.

Review 125:Apartments feel a bit old,but overall they have everything needed for a good price.remember to bring sheets and towels

Review 126:Fantastic location!!!!

Review 127:The pool was really dirty en al lot of noise late at night by other guests

Review 128:The location by the river is wonderful

Review 129:the facility are great

Review 130:No wifi; poor mattress.

Review 131:Very nice environment and landscape; clean and functional room.

Review 132:Convenient for SPA race circuit

Review 133:Location. Appartment. All facilities. Great staff. Lovely little brasserie and shop. Fantastic staff.

Review 134:Shop was not well stocked, did not stop raining for 2 days.
