Reviews for Olden Fjordhotel
Review 1:Cannot think of a thing
Review 2:Terrific location for visiting Briksdal and Kjenndal glaciers. And what a view from the balcony! The room (superior twin-- all superior rooms have balconies for sure) was clean and roomy with a separate seating area and 2 twin beds right next to each other. Great blackout curtains. Nice bathroom with tub. The buffets were really excellent and just for the asking, the staff put us right next to the window for all our meals. The owner and other workers were all very nice and helpful. After I saw some other comments about this hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I experienced nothing at all negative, thought this was a really great place and would highly recommend it.
Review 3:Evening meal was a fairly comprehensive buffet, with plenty of choice. The only criticism is that there were no hot plates to use with the hot meal selections.
Review 4:Very comfortable and spacious room and very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 5:There is no Elevator. So it is a challenge to take your luggage to yourroom on 2nd and 3rd floors. Food is very very expensive compared higherstarred hotels.
Review 6:Superb Location and very very friendly staff and the owner /manager. He even guided us to change our planned route to Geiranger andsuggested a much more beautiful route and took us through beautifulDalsnibba mountain plateau.
Review 7:No causal relationships in evident, I got cold after staying in this hotel. The mountain in front of the hotel is covered with snow. An Insect was crawling on the floor. No elevator
Review 8:A breakfast was relatively good. A sight from a guest room is nice.
Review 9:room for 3 was room for 2 with, couch made up as bed ?!?! Really!! No walking space left. Unfiendly manager ("if you don't like the room, you're happy to go"),wifi not working at all, no mini bar, no airco, no waterboiler in room. Once probably a nice place but in totally in decline.
Review 10:Great view! ok breakfast.
Review 11:Poor TV reception & sometimes poor WIFI speed/coverage. You can hear when the room next door flushes the toilet, turns the tap or shower on but these are the quirks of the hotel
Review 12:Nice pretty location with balcony in room 326 with sea views from Olden. Comfortable bed slept like a log. Free WIFI. As far as Norwegian hotels go it is pretty decent as I've stayed in some ropey ones in the past. Decent breakfast. In general Norwegian hotels are functional minimalistic as opposed to fancy boutique so as long as you get that you will not be disappointed
Review 13:No lift, so we have to carry our suitcases upstairs. The hotel internal looked worn out n was waiting for a facelift. Wifi was hopeless.
Review 14:The location, handy to glacier, just for one night stopover. The view at the fjord.
