Review 1：we loved the location and the hotel staff, they were very kind, sweet and helpful to first time visitors to Salo. They were also tolerant and amused by our rather bad Italian. The hotels restaurant was also excellent, with a very knowledgeable maître d'

Review 2：The staff are incredibly hospitable - professional, welcoming and genuine. The location is fantastic - walk straight out onto the boardwalk. The hotel itself is elegant and charming.

Review 3：A minor point and not one which spoiled the stay in any way, but the shower (and curtain) in the bathroom was not of the same standard as everything else about hotel.

Review 20：The hotel is in a fabulous position just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Salo. The pool is a lovely extra as is the car park. The staff were all very courteous and extremely helpful. Breakfast was a lovely start to each day. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was beautiful. If you can manage it, ask for a lake view as it is stunning.

Review 21：When the restaurant became rather full, service dropped off and we had to nearly half an hour for a plate of cheese, after reminders. No decent apology. Only black mark of our stay in this delightful town

Review 28：The hotel has improved since 2013. The food is great, and the staff is very helpfull and will do everything for you. The restaurant manager Emanuele is "gold" for the hotel. There is a fantastic view from the balcony and the location can´t be better. We will be back Next year as every year.

Review 78：Everything. It is a beautiful and well-run hotel. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. The location is perfect, the breakfast is amazing. The restaurant lives up to its excellent reputation. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back some day.

Review 80：Hotel has very good location, a bit away from the noisy centre, with the direct view to the lake. Room has all necessary facilites. There is nice pool in the hotel. Restaurant/bar has the terrace with the lake view. Especial thanks to all ladies at the reception who has helped to organize the surprise for my husband's birthday (boat trip at Garda) and recommended very good restaurants at the city.

Review 87：The Bellerive is an excellent hotel ideally located on the lakeside walkway at one end of Salo. It is quiet yet 5 mins from the centre. The facilities are perfect for a luxurious break. A fantastic outdoor pool, beautiful reception and lobby with a beautiful private dining terrace and dining room. The restaurant looked fantastic with local specialities however a bit pricey however plenty of good restaurants nearby in the town.The bedroom was not huge however very comfortable and ours had a fantastic lake view with Juliette balcony which was perfect overlooking the Marina. I would recommend the extra for a lakeview room. Ensuite was a bit dated however everything worked perfectly and met our needs. Finally the staff. They were faultless. Very friendly and gave great attention and did everything so quickly. They never failed to greet you when you entered any part of the hotel and you got the feeling that nothing was too much bother to them. Very friendly.The Hotel even laid on complimentary Presecco and desserts on the evening of the Salo Firework display, real attention to detail. I would highly recommend this hotel to mature travellers who want a peaceful stay whilst top level facilities and service and in a perfect location in a beautiful lakeside town with stunning vies.

Review 88：Smokers (and cigar smokers in particular) in the outside areas. It'sa problem with Europe generally, than Hotel Bellerive specific. However,as breakfast is eaten outside, it would be good to have a smoking and anon-smoking side to the breakfast area. It would also be good to makemost of the poolside non-smoking (you could easily have the smokers inthe seats by the bar area).

The arrangement of the room was awkward and it was difficult to access bathroom and wardrobe at the same time.There was no information on the working of the TV and the Internet was unreliable in the room. The price of the room, meals and drinks was excessive. The hotel boasted of home-made, fresh produce but when there was no brown bread what was brought out was still semi-frozen. We were not informed at any time that a cooked option was available and the restaurant service was at best patchy.

Also, the room could get very hot as the heating appeared to go on automatically whenever we left, even though it was not really cold enough outside to require heating.

Hotel is well located for easy walk into Salo for its bars and restaurants via the promenade and has great views across the lake. Breakfast was a treat with, dinner was also excellent. Would I stay there again - definitely yes.

Review 119：The location of Bellerive on the lakeside is superb, away from traffic, on the 4k pedestrian walkway which is quiet in the evening. Dinner, although expensive, was much better than expected, so was well worth it. It was a special anniversary for us,and without our knowing it , they upgraded us to a suite. The staff seemed so happy and pleased to do this for us. The facility and rooms are beautiful, nice pool, very good breakfast buffet. Easy access free parking on site. Excellent service.
