Review 1：The interior decoration of the rooms, although clean and simple, did not match the elegance of the initial entranceway.
Review 2：The front desk staff as well as kitchen staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made it very pleasant to stay there. The front of the building as well as the entrance way, dining room and staircase still has the grand flair of a former villa. It's a great location within close walking distance of the city center as well as the train station.

Review 4：The hotel has no connecting rooms that we like when travelling with our kids. The bedrooms are old and creaky but well maintained and clean. Slightly over priced but it does seem an expensive town generally. Tricky to pull up outside the front of the hotel in a car. Just off a busy roundabout and you have to pull on to the wide footpath in front of the hotel. Then when checked in move to the car park at the rear by driving around the block where the staff open the gates to the private car park.

Review 6：No air-conditioning, not even a fan. The weather was very hot and the hotel is on busy cross section. That made the room with the windows wide open extremely uncomfortable and virtually impossible to sleep at night.
Review 7：The hotel is a grand period building with beautiful staircase, attractive lobby with big rooms and high ceilings. Our room was vert spacious, clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with good variety, tasty treats and great coffee.

Review 32：I had booked a "balcony room". In additional instructions I had asked for "a room which was as quiet as possible". When I checked in the receptionist - who spoke immaculate English as well as German & Italian - said to me that the balcony rooms were on the street side of the hotel and the non-balcony rooms were quieter. Hence they had reserved one of each so that I could choose when I arrived. How is that for service? In addition, this property which dates back to the 1880's, manages to have a great nostalgic atmosphere without feeling dated.
