Review 1：Reception was abrupt and not welcoming at all. We received little additional information and no help with a dinner reservation. Seemed very annoyed that we arrived 5 minutes after 7PM, as the reception closes at 7PM. We didn't know about that deadline though. I think for the rather high daily rate we should be able to expect better service.

Review 3：When they found out it was our wedding anniversary - the next day in our fridge was a bottle of bubbles and chocolate dipped strawberries - really special...and thoughtful. Super friendly and helpful staff, everything was clean and fresh, spa bath was a hit - will definitely be back!!

Review 17：The decor, size and loads of facilities in each unit were the best we have experienced in NZ or anywhere else. AC was easy to operate and effective. Vertical blinds were a dark colour which kept the strong sunshine out when we were cooling off inside. The swimming pool was large unlike some fish bowl size ones we have had in other locations. Fridge and freezer were ideal and shops were only 5 minutes away by car.

Review 29：We made a late booking and a friend went round to make sure. He knocked and no one answered. I phoned when we were an hour away and no one answered. So we organized something else as nothing was confirmed. They contacted me the next day but obviously too late. Two days later they took $180.00 off my credit card. I booked thru booking.com who claim there is no booking fee charged if you dont turn up and wont back their word. As for Admiralty lodge they are not going to refund my money. I would not recommend Admiralty lodge or booking.com to anyone.

Review 82：The only complaint that we had was that the carpet near the door to the balcony was very wet. There were very heavy rains the day before we arrived and it appeared that the sliding door and balcony windows had been left open during the storm. It didn't "dampen" our stay, beyond the bottoms of our feet.

Tired decor (fabric covered bedsides, rusty handles, hooks missing from curtains, couch so uncomfortable we had to watch tv from the bed??). Was disappointed in the quality for the price paid and the supposed 5 star rating. Wouldn't bother staying again.

This was notreplenished when my unit was serviced despit there only being a smallamount left in the jug. I also felt that the comlimentary biscuits andand make-up remover could also have been replaced when the room wasserviced and. The dirty teatowel was removed but not replaced with afresh one. I did enjoy my stay but felt these issues meant it fell belowthe advertised 5 star rating.
