Reviews for Fraser Suites Sydney
Review 1:they charged us for 300 AUD as deposit (stayed one night.. don't know if it will be multiplied by nights)
Review 2:Clean and spacy room Perfect bathroom Very willing and helpfull staff it was definitely (so far) the best accommodation we've ever experienced !! Breakfast was awesome :) really amazing
Review 3:Probably more expensive than most Sydney family hotels but then the location/pool/buffet breakfast all make up for it. Will definitely stay again
Review 4:Loved it all. Location great can walk everywhere. Kids love the pool. Buffet breakfast lovely and parking easy.
Review 5:I spent 2 days there with no internet on my t.v and the staff told me it would be fixed in half a hour but never was..
Review 6:I will always book 2804 form now on its a lovely room
Review 7:I requested an early check in because I needed to get access to the hotel room early after arriving in Sydney after a long flight. I needed access to my room so that my partner could have a rest and a shower before embarking on a second 36 hour flight. Unfortunately the girls on reception were unaccommodating and rude. We had to wait four hours, while other people were checked in early. This was so upsetting because my partner had to hurry and get ready to catch his second flight, it was stressful and meant he couldn't get any sleep. My room did not have a balcony which was a surprise since I specifically booked a room with a balcony. The room was dirty, with dust everywhere and marks all over the walls. It didn't have a view of anything other than other buildings and it was dark and cold. The service from the two receptionists really ruined my entire stay. They were unhelpful, seemed quite unintelligent and snobby and were rude. I also think that taking security of 1 night's accommodation plus a $200 incidentals fee is insulting, extreme and unnecessary. The location of this hotel is okay if you are in Sydney on business or to shop in the big Westfield mall. If you aren't, I recommend staying somewhere nice like Surry Hills or any other area other than the city. I was really disappointed and didn't think this hotel was good value at all.
Review 8:The only redeeming feature of my stay was one receptionist during my checkout. Cassie (I think that is her name) was friendly, helpful, logical and a relief for anyone needing service from this hotel. Overall, my stay here was very disappointing, if it wasn't for her I would have left much more upset.
Review 9:the staff were truly amazing. Probably the best service at a hotel we have received, and we do alot of travel. They were so accommodating. The rooms were immaculate, and location is perfect for little kids, due to the access to public transport.
Review 10:The location was key for what we had planned while we were staying. The outlook was great and the room suited our needs. It was light and comfortable.
Review 11:Tiles in our shower were broken. The hotel seemed to be quite quiet and we probably got but in the room with the worst view We looked onto a brick wall and a roof which seemed to be Abit of an unfortunate letdown for a five star hotel
Review 12:Loved the pool gym sauna staff and location
Review 13:Location and facilities were excellent. We had na apartament for half the price (deal on booking) with a 41 floor view on the darling harbour. Everything was clean and new. Freshly made coffee at the suite (from a coffe machine) made me love this place.
Review 14:The room rate was quite expensive [as was every single hotel we looked at] as there was an enormous amount of events on in Sydney that weekend.
Review 15:Reception staff were super friendly and terrifically helpful. They made our stay a lot of fun! The rooms were impeccably clean and the beds were so comfy :) I loved that there was no street noise at night - a rare treat in the Sydney CBD.
Review 16:It was our anniversary every year we stay at. Different 5 star hotel. This hotel was the worst they did give us complimentary cheap sparkling wine but they interrupted us by knocking and then opening door to give it to us catching my partner unaware. They said we could have. Check out if 12 and at 11 woke us up asking us when we were leaving. No toothpaste in room and the rooms were dated and not very clean.
Review 17:Pool and gym was nice Great breakfast and service in restaurant
Review 18:Pool and spa were cold- especially booked hotel with indoor pool and spa due to poor weather, both were quite cool. View wasn't anything special
Review 19:Clean facilities
Review 20:Room was a bit small - desk was tiny - very hard to work on - no space
Review 21:Great location - very close to Town Hall Station. Lots of restaurants in the area
Review 22:pillow is too high, customers may need to call front desk see if they can provide other lower option.
Review 23:location is great, just 2 minutes walk from public transport, surrounding by shopping centre, close to wool worth. facility is good. provide good quality shampoo, shower gel, lotion etc.
Review 24:Thought check in time of 3.00 was quite late, most places have been 2.00. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were the same. No information in room about how things worked, apparently we could have changed pillows but no info. provided in room telling us this was an option. Vanity sink drain was clogged and water took a long time to drain away.
Review 25:Great location
Review 26:there is nothing we didn't like.
Review 27:the staff were excellent and efficient and helpful. the room was comfortable and it was an awesome set up. value for money and location are unbeatable.
Review 28:I had a very unpleasant stay. The room next door were making noises all night in bed. It was very inappropriate. My uncle from Shanghai residence of Fraser suites referred me too this hotel. I had a very unpleasant time.
Review 29:I like the whole modern look of the hotel and up to date technology
Review 30:The doona was too synthetic & pillow too high- but this is always an individual thing
Review 31:Friendly staff who greeted us and checked us in. Recognized us the next evening too. Great location, clean modern room
Review 32:woke up during the night, as the neighbor came in or left his/her room. just a little extra insulation around the entrance doors would do great
Review 33:modern hotel, modern spacious rooms and nice bathroom. Self catering possibilities was fantastic.
Review 34:Toilets don't flush --room 1507 used the gym toilets -in which one dis not flush also the desk in the room had no where to plug in laptop - needed to plug in at sink Requested high floor (hoping for view ) Requested large double bed No view
Review 35:Location - gym - staff
Review 36:As we checked in early we were to receive a phone call when our room was available. Unfortunately we didn't receive this information which would have been helpful.
Review 37:Accommodation excellent. Also position and availability to walk to all areas of inner city.
Review 38:The dishwasher and microwave weren't working and no one came to fix it after being asked. The bed was too small (we requested a king sized bed but were given a 'large' double. The cleanliness was not to my standard, particularly for a 5 star hotel.
Review 39:The room was spacious and has lots of natural light.
Review 40:I particularly chose this hotel as it listed it had a bath.. I was given a room with a disabled bathroom very poor water pressure and water all over the floor.
Review 41:lack of information from staff especially relating to parking. How simple would it be to ask guests (who had advised a car is parked in Fraser Suite area) what their rego is rather than receiving notices on windscreen advising of likely fine when car is collected
Review 42:Convenience
Review 43:There is a funny smell in reception that permeates through the entire hotel. I think it is from the Mezzanine level where breakfast is served. Not a massive issue but a small improvement could be made to this area.
Review 44:Overcharged and then refunded the overcharged amount $300 bond was told that would end on check out then told it would be a few days
Review 45:Room was nice furniture a little dated
Review 46:You are the only hotel that didn't allow for late check out. That is the only request i had. I was not impressed with the reception lady that dealt with me. She was not welcoming and did not give useful info like hours gym open where it is etc. Also no hairdryer.
Review 47:Location, provision of microwave plates and basic utensils but include a bowl please
Review 48:WiFi only worked for one phone and not both our phones. The bathroom toilet wasn't completely clean.
Review 49:The view was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 50:Being overcharged for parking, when i rang was told parking across street but was on same side some reception staff very hard to understand, couldn't get in suite till after 3pm But wasn't told that when i booked
Review 51:The suite was clean, bed was comfortable cleaning staff we're very helpful
Review 52:Cost is quite expensive overall (weekend prices too much). A bath would have been nice to have in one of our rooms.
Review 53:Very comfortable accommodation for our family. Beds and facilities all excellent.
Review 54:Having styes previously at the hotel... the rooms are in need of a refurbish having scuffed walls and doors, wires hanging out in strange places for tv etc. Not as I remembered
Review 55:Location and room amenities
Review 56:the hotel is not being kept up. Could be much better. Food is not worth the price-Raw chocolate pudding and creme brûlée and average dinner. Spa didn't work all weekend and the walls are paper thin so no sleep
Review 57:The staff and location are great
Review 58:$300 bond for one night that takes a week to be returned! Rediculious??? Why does it take that long??? Really!
Review 59:Amazing views of the city...heaps of glass... Windows that open for fresh air.. Great restaurants underneith :)
Review 60:We paid a premium price for a two bedroom suite which was of average standard. The rooms were fine but I would stay elsewhere next time for the money
Review 61:Location was close to world square, darling harbour and generally a short walk or train ride to anywhere
Review 62:This was my second time stay in Fraser Suites Sydney. Because of its great location, close to everything. The room is very clean, comfortable. Staffs are friendly and provided lots of help to us.
Review 63:Breakfast could have been included in the price and also could have had more gluten free options, but I'm nit picking on that one.
Review 64:The Fraser Suites has great service, great staff, amazing rooms and the best gym I have every had the pleasure of using in a hotel!
Review 65:Had to call to have a charge to my credit card removed for using something from the mini bar which we didn't touch. All was good in the end.
Review 66:Stayed here after a flight cancellation forced an overnight stay in Sydney. The staff were very helpful with supplying toothbrushes etc as we had nothing at all with us. This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. No dust to be found anywhere. Very impressive!
Review 67:Requested for high floor but not fulfilled and no explanation too. If the staff can notify the guest that high floor rooms are not avalaible then as a customer, we can accepeted. Basically my point/logic is very similar as customer asking for smoking or non smoking room.
Review 68:The room structure
Review 69:There was a mix up with my breakfast the first morning, but there was asupermarket over the road so l got breakfast things to last the 4 days lwas staying it was cheaper anyway.
Review 70:View from the room was spectacular, unbelievable, the apartment wasspacious and very comfortable. The service was excellent and thebathrooms spotless. The apartment had toasters, kettles Nespreso machineand crockery, cutlery and dishwasher great stay highly recommend.
Review 71:No bathtub and obviously the room picture that i was shown when i made the booking from the agency wasn't the same in reality. Perhaps providing one or more kids TV/Cable channel would also be lovely specially if the property is kids friendly.
Review 72:Location
Review 73:Drove into car park first night and could not use the elevator to the lobby so struggled up the ramps with all our luggage
Review 74:Location, view facilities excellent
Review 75:we have stayed many times and in our most recent stay we found the beds and pillows terribly uncomfortable... in need of an upgrade. We also decided to stay in one night and there were no movie choices available t all...
Review 76:the location and cleanliness are always fab
Review 77:Small room which when we returned on the second day at 4pm still hadn't been serviced which is pretty poor considering the price. We had to request it be cleaned and hang around waiting for access back into the room. Very unsatisfactory.
Review 78:The view
Review 79:The room wasn't as sound proof to external noise as I would have liked - but it wasn't unbearable.
Review 80:The location is very close to Darling Harbour and the city centre and the railway. The fittings and extras were very stylish. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Review 81:welcoming & friendly staff, Hossain - the receptionist- picked a great room on the 34th level for us & also allowed a late check out, loved the Nespresso machine in our room and l`Occitane amenities in the bathroom
Review 82:Couldn't get Free wifi access was terrible!
Review 83:Overall besides being unable to access our free wi-fi, our stay at the Fraser Suite was very enjoyable.
Review 84:The front desk staff was not so well trained, for example didn't know anything about the hopp-on-hopp-off bus or even sold tickets.
Review 85:Good Location, very nice and comfortable room, good Wifi (but obviously only with limited devices), good breakfast but limited seats.
Review 86:1/.Breakfast could be improved. Did not like the large ,undercooked sausage.Staff attitude at breakfast could improve. 2/.Big problem with electronic door key cards not working. Needs improvement!
Review 87:Having a high up apartment room with view of city on 2 sides
Review 88:Could have better lounge chairs /couch in suite .
Review 89:All of it . Position was great central to all sight seeing great shopping .Staff where fabulous .
Review 90:No loyalty bonus or upgrade of room for the second visit we made. I hope you can give us some goodwill on our 3rd visit.
Review 91:Everything was great just like I imagine. Will definitely come back again.
Review 92:The jacuzzi didnt feel warm for few days :((
Review 93:Decent size room n kitchen, very convenient to stay 9nights, nespresso so cool, separate living room so great, breakfast had a great varieties, bed so comfy and the most impressive was the cleanliness.. Also the lobby smells so nice :) loved it !! Gym also nice!!
Review 94:House keeping did not restock the mineral water that I had take. But not only did they not restock it - I got charged an extra mineral water which was immediately deducted off my credit it card. I have informed them of the issue but have not had any reply. I would not use these suites again, as I found them extremely over priced and being charged for a bottle of mineral water that I did not have has totally destroyed any chance that I may use them again.
Review 95:The front office staff were excellent.
Review 96:i stayed on the 14th of march checked out next day. it is the 25th of march and I still havnt received my bond money back.i have called muitiple times in regards to this matter and still have not received it. I am very unhappy about this, and to be honest quiet annoyed. I have stayed in many hotels before, and this has never happened.
Review 97:After booking the hotel to celebrate my husband's 40th and our first weekend with no children in over 7 years, I was so disappointed with the lack of interest and false advertisement on the hotels behalf. Showing images of a room on a floor which isn't what you're provided with on the day, along with no attention to detail at reception, was a very big disappointment and I will not be looking to book with the Fraser Suites chain again. It's the little things that can go a long way.
Review 98:Price/ night extraordinary for what you got - hyper inflated. Rooms dated, pillows uncomfortable. Promos need a refurb.
Review 99:Bath products, nespresso machine, in house dining, foyer. Location fantastic.
Review 100:This was our second stay at the Fraser suites and it was excellent again. The suites were located close to our destination and staff were extremely welcoming and the suite very comfortable, clean and quite. The view across the city from our suite was marvelous. We really enjoyed the facilities too and promise we will be back.
Review 101:I wish the size of the one-bedroom apartment was bigger. The price is very expensive in Sydney's 5-star hotels in general.
Review 102:I liked everything about my stay from check in to check out. I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with modern furniture and nice décor. Free wifi, excellent location in Kent St. with easy access to everything in particular shopping & Darling Harbour. Supermarket "Coles" is within short walking distance and "Woolworth" as well. Friendly & professional staff. Mr. Hossain from Guest services was helpful in recommending Halal restaurants and the location of the masjid for Friday's prayer.
Review 103:Despite being on the 39th floor, the traffic noise / sirens etc were noticeable. Internally very quiet.
Review 104:Well laid out floor plan. great view over darling harbour (fireworks for lunar new year) from 39th floor.
Review 105:- Pillows were not fluffy nor comfortable enough. - Carpet in the suite did not feel very clean. - Closet lighting was too dim. - Sofa cushions had stains on them - Fridge was way too small - Honestly, room did not quite look like the photo displayed
Review 106:- Staff was friendly and helpful - Responsive staff through 24 hours. - Great location, easy access to Chinatown, CBD area and most shopping areas. Darling Habour was really nearby.
Review 107:Debit my credit card for two nights despite I have paid in full by cash when I am checking in. I did not consume mini bar this is a common sense price is higher than dairy shop. Hotel still charges me.
Review 108:I did advised that I was going to arrived at 1pm, to see if was possible to have my rooms ready, but unfortunately were not. I did understood because check in was till 3pm / So we went for a walk and to eat something, when at 2:35pm we came back, they told me that 1 room was ready but not the second one and it was just about 10 to 15 more minutes / but for some other reason this was not ready till 3:25pm and they were quite a few things missing and for the price I paid, this was not fair
Review 109:The size of the department, with two nice bedrooms, plus the kitchen, the lounge and the balcony.
Review 110:The reverse side of the location coin is that the background noise of the city could not be completely muffled by the double glazing.
Review 111:Excellent location close to shopping, nightlife and easy access to all public transports.
Review 112:We got a late checkout but the staff contacted us a number of times between the normal checkout time and the time we had organised
Review 113:Overall it's very comfortable
Review 114:To be honest, we were a bit disappointed of the spa. There was no possibility to lay down and relax just the pool and the whirlpool.
Review 115:The room itself was wonderful, and the view was marvelous. Also the receptionists were all very kind and helpful.
Review 116:It listed things like a bathtub and a DVD Player which were not there, but that's me being a bit critical on something I probably misread. $40/day Parking was a bit ridiculous for such an already expensive place. $10/day would generally suffice and keep their private car park full
Review 117:Minutes walk each way from Market City/Darling Harbour/Pitt Street Mall. Staff were always polite and available. There is a walk-through to Town Hall Station immediately on your RHS
Review 118:I wish parking was complimentary as a guest
Review 119:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we original had a suite but was upgraded to a one bedroom which was a lovely surprise. Room was exceptionally spacious, clean and well designed. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in sydney CBD and this would be one of the best. Great kitchen facilities and bathroom was large. Also liked the floorboards throughout the room rather than all carpet or tiles. Location was great too, quick walk to darling harbour, cockle bay and Pitt street. Very reasonable too, was the cheapest rate we could find in sydney for that night.
Review 120:Staff at the front desk are ineffective and don't seem to understand how queues operate, serving whoever shoves their way to the front. The manager was extremely rude and ineffective.
Review 121:Location Comfortable bed Pool and gym Views from the higher floors Housekeeping staff
Review 122:We are thankful that the hotel took into consideration all our requests and was able to satisfy them 100%!! We stayed in an apartment with a breath-taking view on a high floor. The apartment also comes with an additional hand-held shower head which made bathing our baby very convenient. That, and they have high chairs and cots available on request and without additional cost. Parking is also very convenient as they have a basement car park with direct lift access to the rooms. The parking rates are also decent. The hotel comes with a nice gym and pool too. Location of the hotel is also very good. Very near to Darling Harbour. Overall an excellent experience and we will definitely go back again.
Review 123:Internet while free is poor - free should not equal poor. There are limited power points in the rooms, those that are available for use those that are there are so inconveniently placed as to render them useless. Room service staff need better training.
Review 124:Location is great.
Review 125:just in the last day, a cockroach appeared in my bedroom... As I can understand these events may happen sometimes, I was not expecting to find it in a such good quality place...
Review 126:overall, a great place to stay. excellent fitness facilities as well.
Review 127:The hassle of checking in. Our booking was mixed with my fathers. After a while it was fixed but when my parents arrived there was no booking for them! When we checked out , after 4 days, the receptionist insisted that our room was my fathers. Really inefficient booking system!
Review 128:The breakfast was not variate, well there are plenty of choices nearby
Review 129:Great location Free Wi-fi Nice staff Comfy bed Nice view on darling harbour Complimentary Nespresso
Review 130:Although everything is very modern and clean there was not enough bench space in the bathroom- a bit awkward. V minor though. A shame we couldn't get out if the car park with our room key. But staff were excellent.
Review 131:We were upgraded to a 1br apartment which was fantastic! Lots of space, comfortable. Awesome location! Across from Metro Theatre. Excellent idea to be able to drop the room key into a box when exiting the car park at departure (however, it didn't work). Friendly staff. Would stay here again.
Review 132:None..we are very happy with our choice of hotel in this trip...
Review 133:The location is excellent..one can walk to Darling Harbour. ..shopping area is also within walking distance..the town hall station is a few steps away too! While the hotel is on Kent St, one can go out directly to George St using the hotel access door at the 10th floor and this is really convenient...our daughter enjoyed watching the DVDs we borrowed from the front desk..the more than ample space of the room , the free wifi ,the Nespresso machine, the complete gym and the excellent and very helpful staff made our brief stay in Sydney a very enjoyable one! It was good value for money and I strongly recommend this for families traveling with children..
Review 134:The only hotel we have stayed in so far where our children (under 12yo) have been charged Breakfast the day after we left. Upon checking in also, they did not agree that Breakfast was included in our room rate so I had to send them a copy of my booking via email. Unprofessional! With all the hassle, I dont think I would book here again.
Review 135:Bed was absolutely comfortable and room was clean.
Review 136:I already repeatedly advised the staff at the counter that full payment has been made in order to secure the room with booking.com, however the staff disregarded my advice and insisted on me making another pending payment using credit card on top of the $300 cash deposit. As I checked out it turned out that i was right about the payment was indeed charged upon the room reservation with booking.com. but the staff just seem so ignorant about the whole process and kept on insisting the payment wasnt made even though the paper receipt printed off book.com's website was already shown to her. It would have been such a nice stay without this drama to start with!!
Review 137:Location was pretty central..in between chinatown and townhall. Pretty much in the middle of all actions.
