Reviews for Hotel Perla
Review 1:It was great staying at Perla hotel. The location is perfect for peacful holiday. He hotel is very comfortable, rooms are nice and clean. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. breakfast and dinner were greate, lot of choices and variety of meals are offered.
Review 2:The beach is not very good, but you won't find a good beach in Herceg Novi.
Review 3:Quiet place 20 minutes leisure walk from Old Town. Delicious food. Friendly staff.
Review 4:Fortunaley, we didn;t have bad experience
Review 5:Cleanliness of the room, all facilities worked, towels were regularly changed, polite and friendly personnel, a good assortment of the food at breakfast and dinner, comfortable atmosphere and excellent weather.
Review 6:Quality of breakfast coffee was very poor from the urn. We were charged for freshly brewed coffee -- the first time in our life for this to happen
Review 7:Very friendly staff
Review 8:Sometimes the waiting staff forgot orders and seemed to prefer to serve customers who spoke the same language! No car park, although hotel promotes the fact that they have parking.
Review 9:Food was lovely, location of hotel great.
Review 10:Good location by the sea but quite a walk into the old town Reasonable rooms but not especially spacious or well equipped Breakfast and evening meals ok but nothing special
Review 11:It is alowed to smoke in the restaurants in Montenegro
Review 12:Great place, very comfortable, great food, friendly stuff, clean, close to the beach, quiet, beautiful view, realy recommend to everybody! Jasmina Larsen
Review 13:A bit too far to walk to centre of town in evening. No lift - a lot of steps.
Review 14:Plenty of sunbeds with towels provided. Nice waterside location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 15:The hotel is about 20 mins away (walking) from the old town of Hercegnovi but this is a pleasant walk that you'll be happy to make.
Review 16:Friendly staff, great location, excellent food.
Review 17:The only negative thing was very minor - our sink plug didn't keep the water in - but you can live with that! If you have a problem with mobility, ask for a lower floor room as there is no lift
Review 18:The staff were friendly, the food was good, the room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable, with a good view over the bay. The hotel facilities were more than adequate, the reserved space and sunbeds on the concrete platform were very welcome, the swimming was lovely and the staff at the waterside very attentive. The position of the hotel was lovely
Review 19:+ Best masseuse ever — a /real/ massage, too, not some "wellness" shtick (€ 30 / 45 min) + Great breakfast buffet + Good dinner buffet + Nice concrete "beach"
Review 20:None.
Review 21:We felt like welcome and expected. All well prepared for us. Quiet, lovely hotel. Beds in the room, and sun beds: very good. Good food, and excellent service from the staff.
Review 22:Ropey breakfast and buffet supper. Plan to be disappointed by their fare and you shall have your expectations duly met.
Review 23:We liked the friendly staff and our room was pretty good too, with a stunning view over the bay.
Review 24:WiFi worked but no internet access in rooms Staff unfriendly Difficult to park
Review 25:Very quiet location but difficult to find Beds extremely comfortable Excellent breakfast
Review 26:A couple of reasons for booking Perla was the terrace & sundeck but by the time we had got there in mid- October it was all packed away. I think that hotel descriptions should make this information clear when booking.
Review 27:The staff were very good, nice room with balcony & sea view. Better breakfast than we were expecting.
Review 28:The interior dining room serving was small
Review 29:Amazing staff and eager to serve and help you.Iwas surprised by the fact that in my birthday they brougth me a cake to erase the cNDLE . THANK them all i will not ever forget it T
Review 30:Nothing
Review 31:This is a great hotel The dinner and breakfast were superb. The location is beautiful. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation.
Review 32:1) Advance payment, Please be advised, that the hotel charges you 30% once you have booked your stay. As far as I know the sum is not refundable 2) "Groundhog day" breakfast-wise 3) Relatively small room 4) Cleaning personnel can not read the door signs "do not disturb"
Review 33:1) Location, at the very end of the walking embankment, therefore not very crowded. 20-min walking distance from the old town 2) Beach, plenty of beach beds, though some sly Ruskies repeatedly 'booked' them by placing towels at 6:00 AM (sic!) Hotel has its own beach zone 3) Comfortable beds 4) Balcony 5) The quality of Wi-FI is EXCELLENT! 6) Welcoming personnel
Review 34:Tge hotel location is difficult to find when you drive a car. With very limited sign, we missed twice the side road to the car park of the hotel. And the wifi is not so stable. The shower area in the bathroom is too small.
Review 35:Silent room
Review 36:The room: - The bathroom has virtually no air flow, even if you leave the fan ON all the time. - The furniture is old and worn - Too few TV channels, with horrible picture quality (matters in a rainy day) - The phone was disconnected from the line. Tried to find the cord, ended up on a torn out socket in the wall. When I connected the phone, it kept ringing for no reason on every 20 seconds. - The safe was locked open - The mini bar had items missing, and some extra non mini-bar items in the fridge, from the previous guests - Some towels were missing the first day. - The Wi-Fi is simply terrible! I was supposed to have a Skype meeting the first day, the connection was dropping every 3-4 minutes, and was unavailable for the next 20-30 minutes. On each call to the reception, I got the reply "I don't know what to do with it, I'll restart the router". Of course, that did not fix it. The food was really good, however, breakfast only had basic drinks available, and dinner had none. You could buy drinks, of course, but the drinks prices are way over the top.
Review 37:Excellent location. A small pedestrian street between it and the private (concrete) beach. Nice sea-side view The food is really good, and dinner varies from day to day in options, maintaining the quality. The staff is polite and friendly.
Review 38:That our stay was so short.
Review 39:We loved it, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Located right on the seafront with a few restaurants nearby. If you want more lively nightlife then the centre of town is a 30 minute stroll along the promenade or a 5 min drive.
Review 40:- the english of the receptionist was approximate (to be polite), but maybe bad luck because the one on the next day was great.
Review 41:- private beach is good for relaxing yourself - buffet is ok (not more) - the room is large with all you need inside
Review 42:Parking was limited. Hotel was a bit overpriced.
Review 43:Very nice sea view and good location. Restaurant terrace faces the water and is a wonderful place to relax! Breakfast and dinner were both served buffet-style at the hotel. Quality and selection was good.
Review 44:the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of food on offer at all mealtimes.
Review 45:Great location, friendly staff, delicious food buffet for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are nice clean and cozy.
Review 46:The location is great and the food was good. The employees were very friendly and always helping and looking for answers. It was a good choice.
Review 47:Good location with great views.
Review 48:Friendly and professional staff. The best buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner ever. Will go back for sure.
Review 49:Quiet location, excellent service -especially Luka at the beach.
Review 50:All ok
Review 51:Excellent people at reception - delicious restaurant.
Review 52:Beautiful balcony view of the bay, friendly staff
Review 53:Not having a double mattress
Review 54:The beautiful location
Review 55:Near hercig novi (20 min walk). 20 meters from the sea. Good restaurant with amazing sea view (but no baby chair!). Free parking near hotel.
Review 56:No lift. Lots of steps. Room very ordinary and tired, 2 star quality.
Review 57:The food and the restaurant excellent, Waiters excellent..
Review 58:Very good value for money. Clean hotel. Very helpful staff. Can be recommended.
Review 59:would recommend to book seaview room, mosquitoes.
Review 60:location Private beach dining area etc , food selection quite good
Review 61:that we couldn't stay more days
Review 62:the food was delicious
Review 63:Difficult to find And parking, but the hotel staff helped
Review 64:Everything else. Ugly, untasty, rude and expensive. They think that ripping the Russians off would solve their problems.
Review 65:Location.
Review 66:Charming Adriatic Coastal Get-Away
Review 67:Parking hard to get to. Milk for breakefast was sometimes room temp not always cold
Review 68:Staff polite, Good room with good view.
Review 69:Our room was quite cold as we didn't get any sun to warm it up.
Review 70:Food really good, room very comfortable
Review 71:not applicable
Review 72:everything from location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable clean room, and excellent restaurant, have stayed here 5 times and would book again!
Review 73:1. no windows in additional building!!! 2. you must climb stairs to get to the taxi
Review 74:1. fine food, terrace nearly above the bay 2. clear water in a few steps of the hotel
Review 75:Parking in the narrow streets could be a little difficult for some people. The many steps and stairs could also be a problem but staff more than willing to help with luggage, parking etc.
Review 76:Incredible value. Superb breakfast and great buffet dinner. Sparkling clean floors, stairs and room. Super position with balconies and sea views all round. Well placed for Dubrovnik Airport. Can't speak too highly as it offered so much more than we expected for the price.
Review 77:Initially tricky to find (forget the satnav, use the Booking.com map
Review 78:Great position Friendly, helpful staff( moved breakfast half an hour earlier to suit us) Great breakfast Very comfortable
Review 79:Beautiful room overlooking the bay; easy walk into the town for nice restaurants. Very convenient for Dubrovnik Airport. Sadly the restaurant was closed (October) but it really looked great.
Review 80:If you opt for lunch instead of dinner, make sure you inform the reception of this and pre order something from the lunch menu which consists of a few dishes. If you order of Ala carte you have to pay extra, but it's not very expensive anyways.
Review 81:Awesome hotel right on the waterfront with beach chairs and umbrellas. Rooms are very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Parking was reserved for us upon arrival. The staff is very professional and polite. For the price this hotel is definately worth it. The dinner buffet was good every night and the breakfast had everything you could ask for. Short walk to all the bars and restaurants on the boardwalk.
Review 82:Montenegro is too expensive place (hotels and flights I mean) for whatthis place can give, in my opinion.Hotel: - limited hot water per hours (not enough for even one adult); - ALL drinks in dinner are not included (coffee, tea too), drinks in breakfast are included but really nasty; - rooms in the back of main building, on the first floor, have view like from basement; - wi-fi works really poor there; - smoking is not denied, so there is smell in rooms oft, and no possibility for closing windows, bacause (see next); - no ventilation system present, it was stuffily in our room even with opened balcony door (remember, conditioning and ventilation are not the same. Conditioning works good there);
Review 83:Location is great, silent pedestrian zone on the beauty coast. Goodroom service.
Review 84:Parking possibility is limited. But this disadvantage concerns all accomodations around.
Review 85:Location. Friendly staff working as team. Perfect cleaning. Promenade alley in front of hotel is quiet during night time. Close proximity to beach. Clean water.
Review 86:not applicable.
Review 87:close proximity to bay, good sized rooms and balcony, buffet breakfast and dinner excellent quality, staff very helpful with local info. and booking trips etc, also reception staff and most restaurant staff spoke excellent English
Review 88:Just some minor things, the bathroom is quite small, wifi sometimes unreliable, fresh orange juice not included in breakfast.
Review 89:Great location, friendly staff, perfect beach if you already can swim and especiall if you love to jump :), good buffett, Herceg Novi in a walking distance, easy parking and good starting point if you're doing an excursion in Bay of Kotor or even further, boat to Lustica, etc.
Review 90:1: Wifi reception in the guest rooms are outrageously messy. We stayed for 3 days there and still not functioning properly. This is a big big disadvantage for hotel business nowadays.
Review 91:Breakfast at the patio facing the sea is very relaxing. Staffs are generally funny and helpful. One even wants me to give her a Chinese name.
Review 92:no elevators no bath plugs electric shower which was small horrible linen and bed was uncomfortable bath towels..felt like sandpaper the gym was a crappy rusted set of equipments on the roof...unusable the hotel just needs sexing up, I am not sure how the other reviewers gave perla such a good score..
Review 93:great views and location staff did try and help
Review 94:There is nothing we could complain about...
Review 95:There were an excellent three days of our vacation. Excellent service, excellent cuisine and handy facilities.
Review 96:the evening buffet was ok but not exceptional. The shower was rather small and the corrugated screens didn't close properly so the bathroom floor became very wet.
Review 97:small charming hotel in excellent location. The view is incredible and it was a delight to wake up every morning and stand on the balcony and look out over the magnificent bay.The rooms were basic but clean and very comfortable. The staff were all very helpful - especially the waiters who often recommended a meal choice.
Review 98:It was a bit of walk to town for little kids and too much constructionin the area which should have done before the season started. The ownerapproached me after a week a d told me our two boys could no longer playball after playing for a whole week. He was rude and assumed I wasRussian since most of the guests were.
Review 99:We thought the staff was very helpful and friendly. They were veryresponsive to our needs. The food was great, and service was superb. This place was very clean. Nice large beach area and great patio outsideto enjoy your meals or a drink.
Review 100:No facilities at all, no beach, no sun terrace, no pool. Just a big slabof concrete (literally looked like a ship yard) by the sea labelled as"the terrace"not a bad hotel, just very ordinary the area itself is symptomatic of an old british seaside town that has been deserted-no shops, no restaurants hardly. We were there very early in the season so things may well pick up but it just seemed like there was something lacking here
Review 101:Room was an all right size, furnishings were pretty dated but servedtheir purpose.Little balcony had a good view of the sea
Review 102:By no means is this a four star hotel. It is a two star. There was no elevator, no reception desk in the pm or at night. There is no lobby either, simply a desk in a corner at the ground level. Hotel should be closed at this time of the year since they cannot properly serve the guests. The street access is closed and the only other entrance is through the back gate and garden (three stories up). The rooms are extremely small and at least one person will always be cold when sleeping next to the wall. The Wifi is only accessible in the small reception and the heaters in the rooms did not function adequately.
Review 103:Buffet breakfast was good and plenty of regional specialties.
Review 104:Small room
Review 105:Right on the waterfront, comfy bar, beautiful old building - not really walking distance from Kotor but only a €5 ride away
Review 106:Absolute relaxation outstanding restaurant staff and food, great swimming.
Review 107:Friendly and helpful staff.Quiet location.
Review 108:Nothing!
Review 109:Lovely position overlooking the sea, small and friendly hotel
Review 110:Nothing.
Review 111:Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff.
Review 112:Very clean accommodation, excellent buffet meals, good location away from main tourist center.
Review 113:Excellent cuisine, wonderful sea-view, good promenade, hearty welcome.
Review 114:There was no elevator.
Review 115:very nice and helpfull staff and food. Nice beacharea. Nice view over Kotor Bay.
Review 116:The hotel can not be worth 4 stars.
Review 117:The location is the only plus.
Review 118:Not are lift.
Review 119:A bit expensive for the service offered. Good and variated breakfast.
Review 120:No kettle, tea and coffee in room.
Review 121:Great location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Free wifi with reasonable bandwidth.
Review 122:- Few parking possibilities
Review 123:- Very nice (deluxe) room - Good situation on the beach walkway - Very quiet - Food OK
Review 124:We were impressed with everything at this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Excellent job Hotel Perla staff!
