Reviews for Olhuveli Beach And Spa Resort

Review 1:High prices for food and drinks.

Review 2:We stayed in over water villa which gave us loads of privacy. Hot tube on the terrace, own entry to the water, huge beautiful bathroom made our stay unforgettable. Very helpful Ali at the reception.

Review 3:1- Definitely need to improve food tastewise. Not necessarily more costly things but definitely need one or two higher quality chefs. 2- The policy of pricing a pizza at 40 US Dollars including tip has to be changed. Every service deserve its own valued price. Management should not take advantage of "no other choice" to overcharge any product. 3- Many of the staff are not smiley, they do not seem happy to work there. Only some has this positive energy. 4- Staff is not very willing to provide service and customer satisfaction to guests unless it is very clearly their duty.

Review 4:Widesrpread area, no crowded feeling, scenery, architecture, decoration, rooms, pool, sea, and everything exept the points I noted as disliked.

Review 5:deluxe villas - bathrooms require urgent renovation no beverages (even water!) included in dinner price with half board very expensive prices of food, beverages and activities

Review 6:beautiful island with lovely beaches, nice facilities, friendly staff

Review 7:Reception was Very Rude, who shouted at me & was lecturing me when Irefuse to let them photo copy my passport when checking in, hence thatthey already have my credit card details, my room was flooded when everit rains, actually for 3 days, cockroaches roaming the bedroom at night,

Review 8:Sorry to say, nothing at all...!!! In-fact, this resort has put me offgoing to the Maldives anymore, which I visit every year since 2001

Review 9:We faced a problem in check in due to booking mistake in description of the hotel as they mentioned land and water villa offer which we choose is for 2 nights, in confermation it shows 2 nights 1 room but actually it was 2 different rooms and we should do chick out early(12 noon) and wait for check in (4pm) which is reticules!! They said its booking mistake!! That was a big issue there aa what we understand from discribtion its one room have 2 views!! And there was a one pic shows this Ine more thing we just dislike the wifi it disconnected 10s times in a minute

Review 10:Everything were just perfect, variety of food, they have different theme in buffet every day

Review 11:extremely expensive ( sandwich is 30 dollars, cheapest wine 85 dollar). Take all inclusive.

Review 12:BeAutiful place- Good snorkling and Nice Staff. Especially the cleaning and the waiters.

Review 13:food was quite repetitive, housekeeping staff could have provided better services, toiletries were not replenished on a daily basis, request for extra toiletries required multiple calls and an hours delay.

Review 14:Good facility, helpful and courteous staff, comprehensive activities

Review 15:The hotel itself is far away from a 4 star, food is horrible ( somedays we even skipped meals even though we had all inclusive), the all inclusive is not really all inclusive as you must pay extra for many things. The rooms are dirty , we found cockroaches everyday in the bathroom and even in the bed!!!

Review 16:The location is great. Great reef for snorkelling where you can see sharks, manta rays, turtles and thousands of fishes. Beaches and pool are also very nice.

Review 17:The dinner of New Year's Eve was very expensive (250$per person) and it couldn't be avoided. That's the only thing.

Review 18:Nature is amazing. The sea is wonderful and the coral reef is very close. Top natural place! Very clean Nice staff Nice beach villa

Review 19:After adding to the cost of booking the price of items outside (transfer 277 USD / PP, new year eve 250 USD / PP without a glass of sparkling wine offered, service 10%, 12.5% tax, environmental tax 6 USD / PP / DAY) the final amount is almost doubled. The resort is very very expensive for everything. Some of the sunset restaurant waiters are very grumpy (especially Riza). In the evening there is nothing to do. Outside the central area of the resort it is very dirty: there are everywhere platic bottles and other waste. Food from the buffet is to be improved. Wi-Fi (included only for internet booking) has to be improved.

Review 20:The resort is located on an island of the Malé Sud atoll. The lagoon is very beautiful and you can take long walks. Through the pier you reach the housereef and you can snorkel. There is also a dive spot within easy walking distance.

Review 21:A paradise. Resort very beautiful with a fantastic nature around. Wonderful diving and snorkeling on the house reef, and fantastic blue lagoon. we bought all inclusive package, and really we still don' t know if it was the right choice. A lot of food in a 3 meals buffet, everyday. all inclusive pack is just for house wine, draught beer and 4 different cocktails. animation in the night is all right. not much and not less. not many italians in this resort, so that' s ok :)

Review 22:- Wifi kept disconnecting - Air con was not strong enough in our room, thought fixed after we informed reception - No all-inclusive capuchino in breakfast as all-inclusive starts only at 10am...

Review 23:- We stayed at the entry level room (deluxe room), which was great! good value for money - Even when the resort was full, there was plenty of privacy (in the pool, beach or dining room) - Staff was friendly and helpful throughout - Two beautiful pools, one on each side of the island - Great snorkeling reef at the resort beach & great snorkeling safari as a half day excursion - All inclusive deal provided with everything you need, though the cocktails selection and quality was disappointing - Evening activities were fun though not all guests participated

Review 24:Some staff were great. Some had very slow service and were not friendly. They also only offer 2 speed boats at night, 5pm and 8pm so you can be waiting in the airport for hours.

Review 25:Good hotel for the price. The management are great.

Review 26:The wifi is a little bit slow but not that bad.

Review 27:Everything on the island was perfect. Sports activities, restaurant, location, staff, cleanliness, beach and spa. It's a 4 starts resort bs during my stay I felt I'm in a 5 starts resort. I highly recommend this resort.

Review 28:Wi-Fi quality is poor. There is a lot of algae in the sea that can be cleaned.

Review 29:Hospitality of the staff. Upul is an excellent team leader at Dhoni Bar who made our holiday memorable.

Review 30:Their time is one hour ahead of Male time which is weird. Restaurant dinner time is too short till 9:30 Hotel time (I.e. 8:30 pm Male time)

Review 31:Excellent views Super clean beaches Room size very specious Helpful staff Good options in food

Review 32:The speedboat transfer is very expensive (US$225pp + 23% tax). We chose all inclusive package - cocktail choices were limited to 4 cocktails that were ok, but nothing special. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great when we stayed with thunderstorms each day/night but it didn't prevent us enjoying our stay overall.

Review 33:We stayed in a jacuzzi overwater villa (room 325) on sunrise side and it was clean, private, comfortable and spacious. What we loved - the friendly and helpful staff, the island is clean and tidy, beautiful beach, snorkelling on the house reef, seeing baby reef sharks, stingray feeding time. A special thank you for my birthday surprise - a happy bday message on the bed, a cake and bottle of wine!

Review 34:Deluxe rooms are not completely soundproof: you can hear your neighbours The odd plastic bottle on the beach ... but that has become a widespread Maldivian problem

Review 35:A 5-star resort for the price of a 4-star Extremely friendly staff Good local reef (turtles, sharks) plus other very good ones just 30-min off by boat Food is very good quality even at the buffet restaurant Great spa and massages

Review 36:Food is extremely expensive, Sports activities are very expensive, AC in room was not functioning, bed wasn't comfortable, wasn't a seamless experience

Review 37:Ambience of the island, experience of being on a Resort Island, good swimming pools, beautiful surroundings and water life around

Review 38:everything is perfect except the scheme of FULL BOARD Meal . Full Board doesn't include drinks with cost. Transfer fee is too expensive but once u were there... good thing the money u spend is all worth it!

Review 39:It's a beautiful paradise! A perfect place of getaway celebrating our anniversary :) plus point strong wifi on the beach ?

Review 40:Boat transfer was amazing passing through all the neighboring islands. And the staff was waiting for us on arrival with welcome drinks and cold towels. Checkin was very smooth and we got informed about all the facilities of the resort. We loved snorkeling in the island as a beautiful coral reef located next to it.. And we had an amazing snorkeling excursion trip where we were taken to 3 other spots by a speed boat. We got all our gear with us but you can always rent the occupment. Also worth noting that there is a dedicated diving center in the island. We got the jacuzzi sea villa, and I must say its beautiful, clean, modern and spacious, the toilet is amazing and we loved the sun deck with the jackuzi. We got the half board offer which was spot on for our needs with breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was amazing with everything you always get in a 4-5 star resort with live cooking stations etc. Dinner buffet was great we wished for more varieties but we always enjoyed the selections and every night there is a new theme, Maldivian, Italian, asian etc. The desserts section was to die for.The reason why we got half board is to allow us try other restaurants during lunch time as we can have a burger or pizza by the pool and also sometimes we miss lunch as we will be out sun bathing or snorkeling and no time to eat. It's worth noting that prices are little expensive (very normal for all resorts in maldives) and I advise to contact the hotel before booking and ask them to send you the restaurant menus which you could check out. And also the menus, excursion programs and prices are also downloadable in PDF from the resort website. This helped us a lot plan if we want half board or full board or all inclusive. My wife tried the spa and we advise all to do it. She was very happy with the experience and she did alovera therappy for sunburn recovery with a body message for 60mins followed by a milk bath for 20mins.

Review 41:drinks and food were very overpriced, e.g. a small pizza for lunch was USD 30. That's not a reasonable price.

Review 42:Very friendly staff that always made the most of making us feel special and catered to our every need. Even though there was a very high occupancy at the resort we had no problem finding a secluded place when we wanted to.

Review 43:- Cost! Most of things are extremely expensive, and the resort is not that exclusive. Compared to other places in the Maldives, it's unreasonably high. - Internet! The quality of the service is really poor! This should be addressed by the resort asap! Constant logouts (sometimes 5 times within 10 minutes).

Review 44:The resort is really nice, with a pretty good selection of restaurants. The activities are also on the upper side.

Review 45:I was also told that the all inclusive package only started at 10am each day, but noticed that breakfast finished at 10am. So I contacted the manager and complained (not very 'all inclusive' if breakfast isn't included!). They finally (backtracked?) and said it was the alcohol part of the package that started at 10am. However, I was told by 3 people it was the package, so I was very careful about everything else at the place. At the restaurant I asked staff if certain things were included in the all-inclusive package, and they told me they were when they weren't. This of course meant I was billed for them. When I explained to the manager, the items were deleted off my account - but it wasn't a particularly nice experience.

Review 46:Location. Great swimming pool. I had a noisy neighbour and the staff relocated me, no problem.

Review 47:No alcohol included in the half board package.

Review 48:Amazing resort and such good value for money - will definitely go back. We had an amazing over water villa with Jacuzzi - heaven :)

Review 49:The buffet is not that great. The food is not great quality at all for a 4/5 star resort. There is no animation in the evening and there is nothing at all for the children.

Review 50:It's a nice resort but there is very little to do overall.

Review 51:The food is too blend, I guess you don't really have a choice when you get stuck in a island

Review 52:The staffs are really friendly and quite helpful. The place is amazing. The room is clean and pretty comfy. It's pretty good for its value

Review 53:The staff didnt seem to be used to having solo travelers so they would always ask if its a table/service for one, and emphasize its for one!.. The Spa treatments were a little pricey, but of very high quality.. The Gym wasnt the greatest, very small and stale weights to train with.. Having to pay extra for the boat transfer was not very nice, it would have been great if it was for free or included in the final bill for convenience.

Review 54:Its a piece of paradise! I had couple days to spend to relax after an intensive business trip in Asia.. This place is remote so makes u feel u are in paradise.. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.. All went as planned no frustrations, no troubles, just smooth pure relaxation.. the food is fairly good, nothing too fancy but lots of options.. the infinity pool is really great for relaxation.. The Spa treatments were amazing too.. a little pricey though..

Review 55:Staff did not call back after I had spoken to them to arrange transport. They were surprisingly unhelpful and suggested we take a long journey rather back to the airport to get a transfer rather than helping us arrange a transfer from a local island. One member of staff also wasted half an hour of our time whilst there selling us a romantic private beach dinner which was not private, had a different menu than the one advertised and also a different price. We didn't book it!

Review 56:Amazing location, beautiful beaches, opportunity to see rays, sharks and turtles. Jacuzzi villa was fantastic and bed was very comfortable.

Review 57:I thought the Thai food lacked in flavor and over cooked food. The beach bungalow needs a facelift. The bathrooms are depressing. It felt like you were at a camping bathroom. The rooms could be a bit more modern too. They could be a bit sexier.

Review 58:I loved the resort. The staff really looked after me. It's super big so don't feel like there's a ton of people everywhere.

Review 59:The bathroom loooks very tired with bad smell. Furniture also looks old in the deluxe room

Review 60:The beach, infinity pool, water sports, snorkel, staff, many restaurants. Would come back sure

Review 61:Too far from Male city and hotel charges too high for everytime you want to visit Male city. Hotel should have provided for atleast one free transfer for us in 6 days that we spent there as we had already paid for airport hotel airport transfers which are already very high.

Review 62:Location, ambience and the facilities.

Review 63:The room cleanliness Unclear transfer charges Food and drinks overpriced

Review 64:The water villa The infinity pool and the warm and clean water The staff were friendly Snorkling The burgeeeeeer at the infinity pool

Review 65:Everything was Amazing! Couldn't fault!

Review 66:Where do I start. Having researched approximately over 8 hours for our ideal hotel/resort holiday in the Maldives. We found it! I was looking for 5 Star quality but at 4 star prices. It is always a difficult ask but on this occasion we got it spot on!From the moment we stepped out of the Airport, the team at the Olhuveli Beach & Spa Resort looked after us all the way. In fact it was the care, anticipation, friendliness and attitude of the staff that made the biggest impact on me. Nothing was too much and if it could be done it would be done. (With a smile)The rooms are well appointed, the choice of restaurants and bars were great. The food options and buffet were more than adequate. The team in the Sunset Buffet restaurant were particularity outstanding! The standard rooms are neat and tidy with a nice balcony. Placed into the room was a photo frame with a picture of my wife and I. (This can be requested in advance subject to the reason for your stay etc. ) The bed was beautifully decorated with a flower art welcome message and the snorkel gear I had pre-organized, was already in ours and the kids room. Luggage arrived swiftly and we downed our welcome drinks in anticipation of the holiday to come. The beaches are amazing on the island, the island reef is abundant with sea life. So snorkeling is just fantastic! Baby reef sharks and rays come out to play from about 5.30pm onwards. They wont harm you, so don't be afraid. The water sports have all the options and the resort has two amazing pools. (Plus a kids pool) Other facilities were Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis,Pool Table and a full size Snooker Table. Plus hammocks all around to chill in. I must not forget the Dive Center and mention that the hotel has an abundant choice of excursions and trips.Food and beverage prices were not so bad and I felt you would pay the same in any 4/5 star hotel world wide. The wine was no different in cost to what I would have to pay in a hotel in Dubai.

Review 67:House Keeping was very poor, and Restaurant waiter (Riaz) was rude most of the time, expecting tips all the time.

Review 68:Value for Money, Reasonable facilities

Review 69:The dinner buffet shutdown at 9:30pm which is ridiculously early for a holiday resort. We entered at 9pm and were not informed that it was going to shutdown at 9:30 . If we knew we would have gone to the other restaurant .The floors were not cleaned well in the room and we could feel the sand when we walked just as soon as it was supposed to have been cleaned. The room service boy was not even sweeping the room properly. Never made an attempt to go under the tables or even move the dustbin to sweep under it . As this place is surrounded by sand the least you can do is keep the room clean . A suggestion also if you could provide room slippers as I'd given in most good hotels around the world, the room boy also used our beach towels which were used to wipe the outer sit out as rain water had come in . That is a major put off as no one would like a towel they use on their body to be used to wipe the floor. Another suggestion is to try and make snorkelling equipment available to guests at the water sports place as its a real long walk from there and back to the pier to get it especially when it's afternoon and the sun is at its peak. Please make it a point to inform guests when you brief them when they first come that your night buffet shuts at 9:30 . Another thing I found to be ridiculous was that my husband was sent back when we came for breakfast as he was wearing a sleeveless tshirt. This is a beach resort what do you expect people to wear. He did go and change although I had suggested to your hostess that I would give home a stole to cover his arms but she insisted he go change . The funny thing is a short while later a couple walked in they were European and they were allowed to have breakfast in swimming trunks and the wife was wearing a bikini.

Review 70:Ambience was great and so was the food . Loved the feeling of having privacy as the island was big.

Review 71:my visa card did not work there. Staff did not let me go although I promised him I will pay when I get back. It is just 500 usd.... I could not do anything but wait. Until I met people from my country and asked them to have the payment. Serval hours has past and I had to change another flight. And ... I still could not use my card. Bank said they could not help until I go back...

Review 72:Everything else. You are marooned on the resort. After awhile it becomes a money drain. Would recommend the Caribbean. Same atmosphere with better accommodations.

Review 73:The Staff was nice and professional.

Review 74:4 minor suggestions: 1. It's a little frustrating that apparently all of the hotels in the Maldives (not just the Olhuveli) have American prices?! It would be nice to feel like we were paying something closer to Indian or Sri Lankan fare, especially when some of the food doesn't reach Western standards... 2. The Thai restaurant "Four Spices" was the biggest disappointment on the island and needs some tweaking...3. The breakfast buffet would be perfect if you could find some maple syrup to go with the pancakes and waffles... 4. All of the wonderful villas with lovely porches should have screens added to the doors and windows in order to keep the mosquitos and bugs out.

Review 75:It was soooo relaxing to spend a fabulous week at this magical island with an old friend of mine and her teenage son. The 4 highlights for us were: 1. Our treatments/packages where we received the best massages of our lives from a Balinese woman (Kadek) and an Indian woman(Panamootti). 2. The housekeeping staff also went above and beyond to keep our villa perfectly clean and neat every day. 3. The (slightly older) main omelette chef knew exactly how I liked my eggs cooked each day, and just the right amount of spiciness. 4. The wait staff at the Sunrise and Lagoon Bars were superb. 5. The Guest Service Manager, Thairaya Suvan, helped us several times during the week to adjust our bill and find my lost passport. She is a total gem!

Review 76:NOTHING!!!!

Review 77:Staff and management were fantastic, huge thanks to all staff of OLHUVELI!!!! Location was wonderful with plenty of activities, particularly the jet skis, dolphin cruise, the restaurants were wonderful with a consistently very high standard of food. Snorkeling was fantastic, the accommodation was kept clean at all times, a very well organized team made our stay fantastic.

Review 78:rode staff, very old and dirty rooms, very very expensive for nothing, very very expensive airport transfere . i do not recommened any bodey to stay in it

Review 79:only free wifi

Review 80:Wifi is great but sometimes drops the connection. Maldives huge taxes.

Review 81:The location- beautiful. Amazing views. Safe feeling and very relaxed. Wifi available everywhere at resort. Comfy rooms and big. Free tea and coffee in rooms and free bottled water daily. No bugging for tips, we could tip as we wanted.

Review 82:Lunch menu was too simple and expensive if you didn`t choose the buffet. Overall expensive to eat and drink.

Review 83:Perfect Island With several watersports option or just snorkling at the housereef. Perfect Beach .

Review 84:Some of the charges were a bit baffling, like a service charge for a buffet meal - I'm serving myself so who am I tipping here ;) Definitely factor in 20% to all shown prices. It's not so much the cost, you expect to pay for such a lovely experience. This is about managing customer expectations and doing the right thing for the guests.

Review 85:The staff were amazing, they really tried hard to help and were spectacular with our little 2 year old.

Review 86:Staff telling us about drinks included (even tea and coffee after meal) and we had to pay them on the final bill. Everything was incredible overpriced!!

Review 87:Food average Everything very expensive - as anywhere in Maldives resorts I guess Choice of things to do

Review 88:Villa over water and privacy Easy access to airport Friendly staff

Review 89:Loved the location, the staff (friendly and efficient) and the variety of food and drinks on offer was amazing. I ate the best massaman curry ever at the Four Spices restaurant. Delicious. The rooms were perfect. Spacious and clean. It was excellent value for money as the other resorts around are much more expensive.

Review 90:The service was terrible. We waited 2.5hrs at the airport for a boat that they said would be there in 5 minutes. No one seemed to know what was going on. Upon arriving at the hotel when we attempted to discuss the situation with the manager - she just walked away. They suggested a dinner on the beach which turned out to be a $350 for 2 pieces of lobster and some wilted salad. The staff are not well trained. For the price that we paid, it was very disappointing and I would not recommend nor return to this resort.

Review 91:The ocean

Review 92:everything was over expensive Specially the speed boat i have Paid 616 $ for tow person which is more than what i Paid for tow night in the resort .

Review 93:I have enjoid in the reort and it's relaxing and the location is good 45 min frome the airport and the wi fi everywhere..

Review 94:The wifi dint work. The mattress was v soft. Had to be changed. They charged for extra blanket. There should be tennis coach. The food should be better.

Review 95:I liked the music nites & cocktail evenings.

Review 96:Airport transfer was too expensive. Even though it was our anniversary, but staff didnt gave us any complimentary drink or upgrade us. Price for the Dinner buffet was too steep! Thou there are quite a few restaurants, menu is alittle limited and slightly expensive.i hope they can improve on their menu choices. But everything is expensive in Maldives. So can't really compare.

Review 97:The beach and infinity pool was extremely beautiful. The best part of the island. Water villa was great and cosy. Bed is comfortable. Housekeeping will clean the rooms twice a day. They are friendly and nice. Good Job! No regrets staying at the resort.

Review 98:This was our first visit to the Maldives and so happy we chose your to resort to spend our stay at. It had been reccomended by a friend of our son. My husband & I had a very relaxing & fun 2 night stay.

Review 99:it was really bad experience ever, the nature of Maldives is good but the hotel was bad really bad, I can hear the guest next to me really uncomfortable.

Review 100:The wifi account expired before we check out. When we called thereception, she said we need to go to the reception in person to get thenew one.WTH!Our room is really very far from the reception. Beforedinner time we went to reception, the guy told us that the wifi accountwould reactive after 10mins. In the end, we wait until check out ,it's still not working. I meant this is not the wifi problem, theproblem is the staff ; they didn't arrange nicely. Everything elseis perfect!

Review 101:Most of staffs are very friendly. You can see a lot aquatic life nearthe diving centre. And the room is really nice and comfort.

Review 102:The pool areas could accommodate more sun beds for people, an e mail to customers prior to arrival to advise to head for the number 22 I think it was, booth to connect for the boat trip may have been useful. Also to advise what you need to bring as the shops sell mostly souvenir items. A general guidelines to restaurant prices to allow for people to budget and the activities might be useful.

Review 103:Staff and management were fantastic, huge thanks to, Muza, Goy,Salma,,Noona,Ziyada. Esp from baby Alex. Location was wonderful with plenty of activities, particularly the jet skis, dolphin cruise, diving school, the restaurants were wonderful with a consistently very high standard of food. Snorkelling was fantastic, the accommodation was kept clean at all times, a very well organized team made our stay fantastic.

Review 104:Must do much more in pest control. Rooms have no direct view to the sea; there are plants in between. Wifi works only in the rooms and NOT everywhere . Food is not so good and limited vegetarian variety. Spa is too close to the kitchen and cocking smells! No yoga classes were available as advertised .

Review 105:Staff and management were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and as appear in photos. Nature is amazing .

Review 106:Poor overall management, lack of staff training evident, ridiculously expensive speedboat transfers, rip off add-ons for everything, some weird internal process that guests have to deal with.. just because that's how the hotel does it. Questionable safety standards on excursions or if anything were to go wrong. Problems for many guests settling their bills at check-out. Could be so much better if there was a management change as the island itself is great.

Review 107:Amazing setting - it's the Maldives!!! Good standard of food, uncrowded resort, house reef.. it's the Maldives!!

Review 108:The deluxe rooms are below average- old furniture and small rooms. Bathroom is from the 70's.if you want a good experiance you go for the beach villa or the bungalow. Those are very different - the rooms are big- the furniture is amazing and the out side bathroom is the size of a small apartment in Europe.

Review 109:The island is a piece of heaven- amazing scenery and beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear water- I guess it's a poster card location. The staff is friendly- they got out of there way many times to make us comfortable- I didn't like the room and although the hotel is booked they changed it for me- then the breakfast finishes at 10 and although I did book bed and beeakfast I never managed to get here on time- then the in room breakfast finishes at 12- but every time I called the chef and he made an exception for us and send us delightful breakfast. The food is also good and they have many different themes for every day- you can't get board there.

Review 110:The selection of food was very limited and most of the time not tasty. So the price/quality and variety ratio was not justified at all. The wifi connection is good only on the rooms.

Review 111:The Spead Boat ride from the airport was not bad. The Island is beautiful and well maintained. The water villa Experience was unique and memorable. The pools and the views from the restaurant were fantastic. The SPA was amazing and stuff is very competent. One of the best experiences in massages that I ever Had.

Review 112:- It's not convenient that restaurants work only during specific hours of breakfast, lunch and dinner, so if one missed the lunch time, they need to wait for dinner time or get some snacks at the bars. - Sound of air conditioner generator was too load when we leave open the balcony door overnight. - Cleaners were too loud in the morning which we making us to wake up earlier than planned. - Blanket was too warm if one decides to sleep with aircon off. - No toothpaste and toothbrush was provided.

Review 113:- The nature of the island is really like paradise - Food, beach and pools were great. - Additional towels were provided at the diving school and by the poolside, so no need to carry own towels. - Resort provide nice beach towels, on top of regular bath towels. - All expenses were recorded to the room number, so there was no need to carry credit card or cash, even in the souvenir shop. - Room service was excellent, twice per day. - Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Review 114:It was quite far from airport and had to pay high travelling cost. Reception service was quite slow.

Review 115:The place around the resort is really beautiful. The resort is really relaxing and comfortable.

Review 116:The ocean was not so nice for swimming There were not a big diversification in the food types They made me pay for a one time camera that i didnt use as they claimed i used it which was not true

Review 117:The stuff was very friendly There were quite good activities The food was good

Review 118:The raining / monsoon season; we would have done much more if not for the rain (missed the catamaran sailing). One other thing, there is JUST one particular fellow (quite stocky-built with a low forehead, fringe-look) from the "SUNSET RESTAURANT".. I would like to say that he's got something against Asian OR I don't know what it is... :(( It seems to me that he is the supervisor or I don't know who he is really..but he was really unfriendly and giving the nasty unwelcoming look all over his face every time we dined at the buffet restaurant. We do not know his name but we could never forget the way he looked at us, and he was especially cold to the Chinese and my wife.,I notice.. giving her the unwilling "look" when she tried to ask him something. Being a yellow skin too, we feel he shouldn't be doing what he was doing as he's in the service industry and anyone who's there on holiday should feel welcome and not hostility. I hope our review could actually reach to the resort management to kindly remind him (the above mentioned person).. to act the true " Maldivian way" of treating people with kindness and respect, regardless of their race. (We feel that he will know who he is, after reading our review if he ever has a chance to)..

Review 119:For a start, we had had certain expectations: Maldives should look like the post cards we have. It rained on the first two days we were there in early July. On the third day, with the sun up, Olhuveli Resort did look like a post card. In fact, every picture we took easily approaches a post card. The blue, the emerald, the green, they’re almost surreal. The breeze is soothing, the sea and the sand gently embraces you like you’re a mermaid, and the sun often catches you off-guard, and you earn the copper-tones very quickly. The beach is clean. We tried quite hard to find a housefly. Baby black-tip sharks minding their business along the waterline, beautiful stingrays foraging in the shallows. There’s even a heron here and there. At times, we shared the beach with no more than 2 other persons. We have found that Maldivians are kind, friendly, and they smile a lot. We were frequently greeted by maintenance crews and gardeners numerous times as we walked past them. I do not know if that’s their culture, or if their management mandate the smiles, but it made us feel like very important people. Since they really do not earn much pouring our drinks and etc, (I was told they really earn peanuts), so I really try to be as generous as I could had afford, with their tips. ;)*Many many thanks to the staff at "LAGOON BAR".. (they are a warm and friendly bunch, especially 'Afzal'; who was so attentive as he had served us cheerfully with so much similes (he should really be promoted to be the captain).. and yes, another sweet lady from the "SUNSET RESTURANT" to name.. "Susie.. if I remembered her name correctly ...(without fail, she greeted us with sincere smiles and showed us to our tables each and every time.. and most of the other staff were friendly as well, all except for one fellow.................hmm......The water villas we stayed in are fantastic. They are tastefully furnished in wood..there are privacy screens between each villa.

Review 120:Amazing place , beautiful hotel and water villas ,beautiful sea , crystal clear water . Simply heaven . It's a recommended to visit once in a lifetime . I will repeat it again and again

Review 121:Price of wine and cocktails high

Review 122:Excellent staff, very friendly. Lovely restaurants all high standard, quality presentation and ambience. Great diving school and diving sites. Plenty of sporting options Beautiful Spa

Review 123:Not like it really affected the general impression, but: Staying on the island is quite expensive, a dinner for two with wine is close to 200$. Food in Sunrise bar is really not exciting. The airport transfer is not cheap, but it's a cool ride.

Review 124:It's a very beautiful place. The home reef is perfect for snorkelling and diving -- lots of fish and corals, turtles, sharks... Every night a big manta comes close to the jetty -- it's really cool to watch even without getting in the water. The beach is big and clean, the lagoon on one of the sides of the island is chill and beautifull. Island is big enough for a walk and a daily running. It doesnt feel crowded even with many other people on the island. Rooms are nice and getting cleaned two times a day. From all the dining options -- Sunset restaurant buffet is nice. They have a different "theme" every day, so its never boring. Food is fresh, staff is friendly, service is quick and good. Internet is not super fast, but it exist, and even online streaming/downloading works more or less. Resort staff is very friendly.

Review 125:Poor wi-fi service during our time there Transfer costs from Male to Olhuveli were not called out at booking time

Review 126:Scenic location with an affordable price tag (for the Maldives)

Review 127:being a mid luxury resort they need to work on housekeeping and in room dining a lot and need also to work on vegetranian food and they require to look into there matteress quality and also wifi services which though they claim to be at 8 mbps but can hardly connect or maybe because i am using free service hence the issue didnot feel i was getting the worth for the money i paid

Review 128:some of the front office staff helpful

Review 129:The wifi is available everywhere, except a few of their restaurants. (Sunset restaurant, lagoon restaurant) And the wifi provided is only for ONE EQUIPMENT in the room. My husband and I had to keep logging in and out one after another in order to use.

Review 130:The location and service is good. When we arrived, there's wet towels for us to freshen up, along with a refreshing drink. We were then brought to our Sunset Villa with Jacuzzi room via a buggy. There are almost no insects, and the place is very clean. Every morning I see them cleaning the waters and sand. I went for the dolphin & sunset cruise which the hotel provides, and it's worth every cent! I saw many lovely dolphins leaping and twirling in the air as the boat brought us round. However everyday was raining for me so we could only stay in our room most of the time, which luckily, is awesome! There's definitely a lot of privacy but sometimes when I'm in the loo, I do see other visitors swimming out to the sea, so please make sure you don't expose yourself. It's an amazing place and I would really love to return again.
