Reviews for A4 Villa
Review 1:Very nice place to stay. Room large and clean. Nice peaceful setting. The owners are lovely and really make the stay worthwhile. Would highly recommend this guesthouse.
Review 2:Beds were little bitty uncomfortable and sheets were worn.
Review 3:Staff were very kind and service was good. Environment and climate... There is a sitting area in open air for eat something or drinking. You can easily see the monkeys around you when they eat something from the trees and jumping to the hotel roof.
Review 4:They should think about something else to do there than to sleep only - I mean some kind of playroom, voleyball court or a small plunge pool wouldn't do much financial harm and would probably convince some people to stay longer and not only for the safari.
Review 5:The owners are very friendly and polite, also they are very flexible - the safari arranged by them doesn't have any hidden costs and can be actually cheaper than the one you would arrange for yourself. The accommodation is comfortable and well priced and you immediatelly feel at home.
Review 6:Dinner was quite expensive. Beer was also the most expensive we had in Sri Lanka. We had this only once, since we read this in other comments. AC was too loud, we could not sleep.
Review 7:Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly
Review 8:While room was large and well furnished it needed a good clean.
Review 9:Host was helpful for booking trips and activities. Evening meal was very good and authentic Sri Lankan food
Review 10:Hotel has large and very clean rooms and provides excellent value for money. Staff are very friendly and helpful and can arrange trips, drivers etc., all at decent prices. Location is a 5-7 minute walk from the Habarana Junction / busstation and an easy find when using Google Maps. Habarana itself, though it has many hotels and guesthouses, is somewhat underdeveloped in terms of having places to eat/drink. Yet we did find various local places that provided an authentic Sri Lankan food experience at very low prices. Bring a flashlight when you intend to return to the hotel by foot after dark, as some parts of the backroad leading to the hotel are poorly/not lit.
Review 11:Rooms are not cleaned in a daily basis.
Review 12:We liked the quality of the staff and the home made dinner prepared every evening. Your tours around the city (Sirigya, Dambulla...) can be easily fixed by the hotel.
Review 13:The room has not been cleaned during our entire stay.
Review 14:The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We arrived in the middle of the night and they were here to welcome us, The staff can arrange very easily your tour around the region. Dinners are excellent!
Review 15:nothing - it was great.
Review 16:The hotel wonderfully merges into the trees and it is set back from the main road so it feels like you are " in a wilder place". The hosts and their children were fantastic, as was the breakfast.
Review 17:The only disadvantage - no credit cards accepted on the territory of the hotel. This problem was resolved, just time wasted. If you are running of time make sure you could arrange the payment once you move in.
Review 18:Very friendly and staff. All our needs very served very fast and in time. Bathroom works smoothly, even hot water is fine:) Good spot for travelers with a car and driver.
Review 19:Dinner buffet was really expensive and wi-fi was very poor.
Review 20:Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent breakfast and nice atmosphere. The lady running the place is an excellent guide for everything in the area.
Review 21:Meal cost. This is a simple home located ib a rural area. Not at all a fancy place. Simple rice and curry meal for 8 adults and 4 children cost me Rs 9,000. Rice and curry is usually <Rs 350 even in Perera and Sons. Here it was Rs 750 per head. 3 meal sessions cost me Rs 27000. Total bill for two nights exceeded Rs 83,000. It was my fault that I did not inquire the price before having meals.
Review 22:Nice location to travel to surrounding destinations.
Review 23:Nothing at all!
Review 24:The apartments are in a beautiful and quiet location, staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is great, we were very satisfied , highly recommended!
Review 25:No house keeping during 5 night stay. Thin mattress, and bed linen too small for bed. Bed linen stained. No noise insulation between rooms - room block has open loft and rooms only have a false ceiling, so you hear everything.
Review 26:Rural location but main bus routes close. Wild life in the garden. Modern room with hot water and a/c.
Review 27:Wifi free but poor
Review 28:Would definitely go back. Friendly staff. The owners' daughter speaks excellent English and is MOST helpful. Lovely rooms. Short walk off main road that was well signed.
Review 29:I'm only disappointed that we didn't stay longer!!
Review 30:Dinu and her father were fantastic hosts who provided us with exceptional local dishes at very reasonable price. Every effort was made to make us welcome and at special request we had a starlit bonfire and barbecue. Very friendly environment and great for backpackers. Local transport was offered for a very reasonable price and Charit drove us around the area safely and in great comfort.
Review 31:The prise for diner in the hotel 1000Rs per person is little to mach. Didnt know its so mach before we get the final bill.
Review 32:Very nice family hotel in nice quit eria. Clean good wifi.
Review 33:The internet connectivity was bad. The approach is not simple. The common area had loads of mosquitoes.
Review 34:The family running the villa is very warm and friendly. They went out of their way to serve us food according to our needs. The rooms were very clean. Value for money.
Review 35:The WiFi connection was poor, and they needed to do a better job with their daily cleaning of rooms.
Review 36:The fantastic service at the Villa!! The owners put in a lot of effort into making their guests comfortable. I have food restrictions, and they did everything to work around the restrictions and still prepare delicious, finger-licking food for us!! For a change, even the children loved eating the veggies prepared by them!
Review 37:The only option to have a dinner is in hotel itself, because the town is very small and the hotell is situated a bit away from the main road. The food was tasty but pricey.
Review 38:We used this hotel to stay for 3 nights while using it as our base for cultural triangle trips. The rooms were clean, staff very helpfull and friendly. If you travel with a car the location (away from main road) is also fine.
Review 39:Family room is so dirty never book one..
Review 40:Rooms were good and clean except for family room. Owner was fine, breakfast OK OK, internet OK OK, rooms good but never but family .room.
Review 41:At night it is a little difficult to find because it is off the main road and there are several dirt roads and no street lights. The location of the guesthouse is across the street from the Cinammon Lodge.
Review 42:The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. This is a new guesthouse so the owners do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.
Review 43:Verry good cuisine
Review 44:The last part of the road going to the hotel is in a very bad condition.
Review 45:Very friendly staff and great food.
Review 46:Restaurant, breakfast. The garden could have been cleaner.
Review 47:The room, the toilet. The staff was very polite
Review 48:we were there for 4 days and the dinner was very the same. Should have been dayly cleaning of the rom.
Review 49:Nice staff, very helpfull
Review 50:The people who run the guesthouse are extremely friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home. Dinner is delicious.
Review 51:Very kind people and helpful
Review 52:The owners were really nice, the rooms were clean. A bit far from the main road.
