Review 1：Great location; well appointed; comfortably accommodated family of 5 adults. Appreciated receiving phone call from staff to advise that our apartment was ready earlier than advertised check in time; also appreciated 2 undercover secure car parks. Would stay again.
Review 2：While there was free WiFi included, the internet speed was so slow it was basically unusable which was disappointing.
Review 3：The apartment was modern and really well equipped. Good space in the 2 bedroom apartment and the kids loved all of the channels.

Review 6：We were a mature couple ( grandparents ) and a small family ( Parents and baby) in a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms were difficult to regulate the air con in. The beds were very small. The aircon during the night was very noisy when it kicked in.

Review 8：The basic iron to iron clothes with - gave me a good excuse not to bother doing any ironing though, did me a favour in the end.

Review 10：Unit was dark with poor Outlook. Noisy maintenance work going on. A painter outside the Window of our friends who were also staying there was a bit disconcerting.
Review 11：Was advertised free wifi, yet we discovered it was only for 200mb once getting into the room. Ensuite is a stupid layout and you have to sit on the toilet roll to go to the toilet. The main bed was rock hard. I thought for paying the "upmarket price" it would be classy, but was disappointed. And reception opens after morning book out time, which I found to be rude.
Review 12：Location was good. Lounge area was nicely sized and comfortable.
Review 13：Pool was closed, no prior warning this was happening. Luckily the lagoon is just next door. Beds are a bit short, only a double in the master bedroom where i would expect at least a Queen if not a King. My husband complained that he didn't fit the bed. Kitchen was not very well equipped, no frying pan to cook up bacon and eggs.

Review 21：Man in the room below us kept smoking on the balcony. Did mention this to the staff. But the smoking continued. Room smelt a bit musty when closed, but otherwise clean. Dining suite chairs are flaking.

Review 29：We loved the appartment it was a lot bigger than we picture, very tidy and nicely decorated. The location was fantastic. Very central and within walking distance to the shopping centre and restaurants. We arrange a late night check in and they left us very clear instructions on how to use the car park and elevators. Our air conditioner broke down and shut off all the power but they had the on site manager checking it out with in 5 minutes and us relocated to a new room within 15! They were very apologetic and dealt with the situation in a very professional and prompt manner.

Review 39：2nd bedroom, blinds had gap in and floodlight kept coming on from outside and waking us up. Bed wasn't long enough or wide enough! 3rd bedroom was more like a prison cell - couldn't find it at first as it was locked off. Very noisy at night with teenagers running up and down corridors and in lifts.
Review 40：Air con cannot be controlled set at 23deg, no aircon in the bedroom & it takes a long time to cool the entire room if reaching Mackay late. Fire alarm went off on the night that i stayed at 4AM in the morning and it ruined my sleep.

Fire Alarm going off at 03.00am, no explanation/apology given by management, Zero care factor, as per feedback from other guest fire alarm activating is a regular occurrence. Air con was either hot or Freezing cold. Many of the TV channels Blocked! Expensive in comparison, however experience was Cheap and nasty.

Review 46：Considering we arrived Christmas eve, the kitchen had only one pot, there were only 2 dishwashing satchels, one tea towel and no bin liners. The office was unattended even in the times it was to be open to get fresh towels. The outside verandah areas were dirty so if you went out without footwear the unit floors became filthy. There were large chips in the kitchen tiles. I did not feel there was value for money staying at these apartments.

Review 48：Building site next door - very noisy. No curtains, only thin blinds, in bedrooms. Sun shone in to bedroom one at 5am and sensored security lights were on and off all night in bedroom two.

Review 62：The construction on the site across the road was very noisy and started very early - 6.30 each morning including Saturday. The blinds in the bedroom did not block out the sun. So, even on Sunday, we were woken early.

Review 68：There were two small couches in the lounge room as opposed to one big one. So my boyfriend and I couldn't snuggle up on the couch together. Instead, we dragged the mattress into the lounge, as only that tv had austar channels. Not many of the austar channels worked.
Review 69：The staff were so lovely. I received a very friendly phone call the day before I arrived to confirm the details. I thought that was a nice touch. I mentioned when I was booking that it was a present for my boyfriends birthday and upon arrival they surprised us with an upgrade to a penthouse!! We were so thrilled and the penthouse was absolutely beautiful. We had a fabulous view and had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. We were quite noisy and played loud music, but no one complained or bothered us. Thank you Lanai, I will definitely be back :)
Review 70：The air-conditioning in the master bedrooms can be limited. This last time we stayed, we found that while it worked comfortably in the bedroom, the fan roared in the main living area to compensate. But at least now there is a pedestal fan also provided (not so on our first stay some years ago), so someone is listening!
Review 71：Best spot to stay in Mackay if you need to be near the business centre. Lanai are spacious, clean apartments, well equipped to make longer stays quite comfortable. Views from the higher levels are lovely, especially if you are in a unit facing the the river & out to the ocean.
