Reviews for Waldorf Stadium Apartments Hotel

Review 1:We were pleased to have a two-bedroom apartment, both of the bedrooms with external windows. (Some apartments have a totally internal second bedroom which is claustrophobic and too hot.)

Review 2:internal windows between bedrooms could do with a blind or curtain to cut out light at night

Review 3:close to bus, ferry terminal, cafes, shops. good size living area, comfortable sofas and large TV always appreciated

Review 4:The location is good. Close to cruise terminal, ferry and downtown. With the well equipped kitchen, you can prepare any meal as the supermarket is near by. We had a good seafood meal.

Review 5:my daughter and her partner were very nearly charged an extra night, and if we weren't on a strict budget may have paid mistakenly, none the wiser. Were in a room with street view, sadly, but quite a lot of activity to watch.

Review 6:location

Review 7:Staff were lovely, definitely worth the money. Had a slight view of the harbour. However the room wasn't as clean, there were crumbs left and rubbish in between the couch. Other than that everything was perfect

Review 8:Inadequate cutlery and crockery for 4 adults plus occasional visitors; modest bathroom amenities; low pressure shower with water at too high temperature

Review 9:Good location and helpful staff

Review 10:A bit of traffic noise if one is not used to it. No sharp knife to cut meat and vegies with. Mirror in bathroom could have been a bit bigger. But this does not detract from a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Review 11:Our first time in a serviced apartment. Great to have laundry and cooking facilities after two weeks of hotel rooms. Everything was clean and kitchen well equipped. Very comfortable beds. Very quiet.

Review 12:Wifi was difficult as when someone logged on someone else was disconnected. Only 2 devices able to go on at once and very slow. Beds were pretty hard but good if you like that. You have to pay for parking but it was easy to get. The cost of the apartment is so reasonable for inner city that $25 a day parking balances out.

Review 13:Great value for money. When you are traveling with 2 children it is lovely to have 2 bedrooms and a lounge plus cooking facilities/laundry. Walking distance to town, ferries and restaurants plus supermarket just around the corner.

Review 14:none

Review 15:Great location, spacious&comfort room with fully kitchen facilities and washer /dryer.We bought fresh seafood, lamb chop, beef etc from Countdown super market (10 mins walk from hotel )for self-cooking for 3 dinners -so convenient yummy & enjoyable !

Review 16:Wi-fi only working in kitchen and very slow Second bedroom very small, just enough to fit the bed and no draws to put clothes in ...

Review 17:Friendly staff, fantastic location

Review 18:Lacks free wifi... but so do most major properties in town these days.

Review 19:Great property with helpful staff on hand 24x7. Well appointed apartment with air conditioning, good kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, DVD player.

Review 20:Very small unit with 2 tiny bedrooms. A room has no window. Service not done everyday (and with kids, it really need to be done everyday). Sofa very dirty and worn out. A bit of a walk to go down town.

Review 21:The hotel is close to supermarket Countdown and there is a bus station just in front the hotel to go to the Auckland museum. I appreciated washing machine and dryer in the bathroom.

Review 22:We booked a 3 bedroom suite for a family of 6, but there were only enough beds for five. I rang the extremely indifferent staff, who after trying to charge me more, (I refused to pay), supplied us with a broken trundle bed. My daughter slept on the mattress on the floor. The parking also was an extra $25 a day. On the website, it makes no mention of extra fees for parking in a parking lot, three minutes walk away. Fine if you don't have luggage and four little ones. The pool was a five minute drive away even though you are advised online it has a pool adjacent.

Review 23:Position was good.

Review 24:My friend's car was stolen from the "secure" car park. At least staff had graciousness not to charge for the carparking.

Review 25:Good view of SkyTower from room.

Review 26:Poor communition skills of the staff Poor service of our apartment No one takes wet towles or takes the rubbish out Poor internet Didnot work at all during our two days stay

Review 27:Location

Review 28:The cleanliness of the room could have been better. When we arrived the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Also the walls of the bathroom should have been cleaned especially behind the toilet and wiping the dust off the skirtings would have been nice. The housekeeping staff should have their own service lift instead of using the guest lifts. On more than one occasion I had to share a lift with a housekeeping staff member with a huge trolley and another time had to wait for another lift because the first one was being used by householding staff.

Review 29:The location was excellent and the use of the gym down the road was well used. Also appreciated having a washing machine and dryer in my room, thank you! The front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Review 30:Had requested early check in, didn't happen. Went for lunch then waited in lobby, total of 3 hours. If early check in not available then don't ask what time checking in.

Review 31:Rooms quiet

Review 32:3pm check in is late and check out is still 10am. We really needed an early check in of about 12-1pm (which still have them 2-3 hours to prioritise cleaning our room but they wouldn't guarantee it (offered to pay extra). It was fine in the end but a little stressful as I was organising an event.

Review 33:Place just like the pics, pleasant staff, accommodated our extra needs, super close to town, modern and clean.

Review 34:rooms were quite dirty, with hair everywhere in shower, laundry, even on bed. Things were clean just, in my taste, not clean enough!

Review 35:location, spacious rooms

Review 36:The sofa bed in the lounge area was tired and uncomfortable to sit on.

Review 37:Rooms are well appointed and have everything needed for a quick trip or a longer stay

Review 38:This day and age you expect Wi-Fi to be free and unlimited. We had to take turns to use Wi-Fi. Also, it would help to put liquid soap to wash dishes.

Review 39:Apartment was very comfortable for our family. We would have enjoyed our stay had it not rained both days that we were there.

Review 40:This is our third stay here and we love the location and reasonable price. This time we got a more spacious 2 bed apartment. We will definitely book again.

Review 41:You need more than one bathroom for 6 people!! The room was noisey. I thought the 3rd bedroom should have had 2 single beds in it but could only fit one, the other had to go in the lounge.

Review 42:The apartment was very clean. Good location to the viaduct

Review 43:Poor wi-fi connection didn't get to use it was no point.. Place was not being service during our 4 night stay we had to wash our own towels during our stay, had a dishwasher but only set 12mins cycle and didn't clean the dishes very well so we end up washing dishes in the kitchen sink. Foyer smells.. Very noisy during our stay ..

Review 44:Was close to town centre & supermarket..

Review 45:I booked 2x single beds and a double bed for our 2 bedroom apartment and got 2x double beds so1 extra roller bed was produced so 2 men could share one room. The roller bed was uncomfortable for a male adult and I booked months ahead so I was disappointed for my family. Not enough clean towels delivered to the room so I had to ask for them.

Review 46:Closeness to Queen Street was great. Real Xmas tree in foyer.

Review 47:I didn't like the the way guy came up and advised us about noise, he was very rude.. Would've been better if he just gave us a warning

Review 48:The room was really clean and check in process was very easy and fast

Review 49:Free WiFi only if the reservation of the room is done directly through the hotel internet site.

Review 50:The apartment was wide and clean. 5 minutes walking from Auckland city center.

Review 51:- The staff is not friendly, speak un-politely, not helpful - Few things in the apartment are broken, such as: the rubbish bins pedal, the shower head, tears around sofa

Review 52:The apartment has a good washing machine and dryer.

Review 53:Photos do not reflect the apartment, there are many locations in Wardolf. Value for money was extremely low. One main Room had no door was an office converted into bedroom facilities has no aircon in the bedrooms therefore you are forced to open window which opens onto busy area. There were dirty sheets staff would not change them so I had to do the laundry and change the sheets. The room was extremely small with a tv the size of a standard computer screen. Given all these factors the rating on bookings does not reflect the venue.

Review 54:Location was ok however the number of hotels in that vicinity makes it irrelevant

Review 55:the bed was hard and the couches way to lowto the ground also can put more coffee etc in room as we stayed 2 night and no room clean

Review 56:close to vector and britomart

Review 57:No parking avail outside before check in. Luckily I have stayed before and knew where parking building was.

Review 58:Proximity to venue. Excellent facilities, including dishwasher and washing machine.

Review 59:The room was not as presented in the photographs. The couch had rips in the vinyl and were very uncomfortable to sit on to watch the very small television. One of the rooms had no bedside tables or lamps for reading and when the bed was moved another previous guest's flip flops where underneath leading us to wonder when the room was last cleaned thoroughly. The pillows were old and lumpy on both rooms. Overall for the price we paid I do not feel it was value for money, the room could do with a thorough clean including the soap scum on the shower doors and a good paint of the walls too.

Review 60:We enjoyed the close proximity to the Vector Arena as the main purpose for our trip was to attend an event there.

Review 61:Bedrooms were relatively small. No option for four single beds meant two women having to share double. Smoking allowed on balcony meant room smelled of smoke when we arrived. Need more towels and milk please - those little sachets just don't cut it! Quite pricey but expected that for location and event. Shower - awesome water pressure!!!

Review 62:Fantastic location right next door to Vector Arena. Unit size was spacious and comfortable. Laundry incl although not used by us - be great for long term stay. Kitchenette great :) Beds clean and comfortable.

Review 63:The apartment on the ground floor was very noisy due to the walkway directly outside

Review 64:Staff were friendly, bed was comfy, everything we needed was there

Review 65:No view

Review 66:Excellent room on 10 th floor , clean modern and comfortable. Good location just a short walk to harbour and restaurants. . Don't expect a view but location , modern , value for money and clean overrides that issue

Review 67:No servicing which for 3 people over 3 nights was not ideal

Review 68:Spacious apartments with every home comfort catered for. All amenities provided making it perfect for an extended stay. Great reduced rate taxi to airport (all Waldorf apartments offer this)

Review 69:Rung a few weeks earlier to ask if the breakfast was a full breakfast with bacon and eggs etc which they replied yes ... Turns out it wasn't :( was alright but not bacon and eggs !

Review 70:Clean , good size , location not bad

Review 71:Everything was excellent. The service was amazing and the location was awesome. 5 mins walk to Queen street which is the main shopping street. About 10 - 15mins taxi ride to the Auckland zoo. The room was spacious and very clean. Would come back to stay again if I ever visit Auckland.

Review 72:the 2nd bedroom is just part of living room separated by glass sliding door, and has no external window. the sofa is so uncomfortable that you will sink into it. they failed to provide wifi code on arrival, had to call reception to get the code, and the code expired in one day, which means I had to call reception every day during our 3 day stay. They did not service the room at all in 3 days, the room is facing a parking lot and has no view. And they charge 2% fee for credit card payment. Not worth the money, find another place to stay.

Review 73:Good location

Review 74:First impression of the place by the lady ignoring us behind reception. Bed was too large for the room. extractor fan in the bathroom needed cleaning. No light over the bathroom sink.

Review 75:Location, quiet room

Review 76:We were allocated an apartment on the outside and it was extremely noisy. We could not sleep well at night

Review 77:The apartment is well designed except for noise insulation, and was well furnished and it was well located. We also had good service from the reception staff.

Review 78:While we appreciated the need for fire safety, the apartment had several smoke alarms with the warning that should the fire services be called out we would be charged. Although we had no plans to cook, we did not even use the toaster for fear of too much smoke

Review 79:A very short walk to the city centre and convenient for the airport bus

Review 80:Continental breakfast was a little so so, staff in the breakfast room were great, but the breakfast wasn't hugely tempting. A better selection of fruit would be good. Great coffee machine though! The additional $25 for parking made the room expensive though when you factored that in.

Review 81:A very short stroll to Vector Arena, the main purpose of our visit. Really great fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and good crisp sheets.

Review 82:There was a problem with the oven in that the control switch was incorrectly fitted and when you thought you were on 150 degrees you were in fact on full blast Nearly caused a fire

Review 83:Good location and close proximity to supermarkets and places to eat. Would stay there again

Review 84:The apartments on Beach Road are a little noisy with road noise, breakfast very disappointing, strange options eg. boiled eggs (no egg cups) & quiche for cooked options, whatever happened to good old fashioned bacon, eggs, sausages etc.

Review 85:The beds are great, nice blankets, duvets, fresh sheets. The kitchen had everything we needed, good size apartments as well.

Review 86:Having to relocate rooms as asked for high up and harbour side. Given street side.Noted room given not been checked as light and fan still on.

Review 87:Kitchen facilities

Review 88:There guest parking area are quite hard to get in, one-way seems a little bit dangerous.

Review 89:The location is really handy, easy to get to else where in city, walkable distance to the shopping area and public transport!

Review 90:The reception boy was hopeless, he gave us a low level corner suite, which they already known was noisy. We could not sleep during the night because there were lots of trucks making so much big noise. We strongly recommend people looking for or planning to stay in this hotel, must not have the low level corner room.

Review 91:Hotel location is good, that is why we come back again.

Review 92:Close to Countdown Supermarket, Vectra Arena, Apex Car Rentals, Bars and Restaurants and Britamart. Really enjoyed having Car Park Building next door also. When we left, it was only a short walk to Queen street to catch the bus to the airport

Review 93:The goldfish bowl type bedroom in the two bedroom apartment was a tad small and different to what we expected from previous stays at Waldorf or the photos. You'll see from our review this is a minor point

Review 94:You are asked to reuse your towel but the provided towel rail is only wide enough for a hand towel - not ideal for three people. The couch could do with replacing - ripped and full of holes.

Review 95:The location and the price was good for that particular weekend - similar places were going for three times the amount.

Review 96:Reception tried to make me pay for breakfast when it was included in the stay rate. The lady tried to argue with me instead of checking the necessary paperwork!

Review 97:Modern facilities

Review 98:Pricing. After staying on both the South and North Islands in the last 15 days and staying at many places, this was the most expensive hotel with the least charm and a brick wall for a view.

Review 99:Near to the city centre.

Review 100:Car parking was hard to access with luggage. Swipe cards to the car park did not always work. The breakfast choices ordinary.

Review 101:The apartments were spacious and beds comfortable. Rooms well equipped.

Review 102:The black carpets show every bit of fluff and mark. Also, the black couch was minus any legs making it too down for any ease of getting hw

Review 103:The location is great and the staff were accomodating.

Review 104:The beds were like cardboard, the pillows the same, hard and uncomfortable. Grime in the corners of the shower. The two couches were impossible to sit comfortably in...the cushions were past their use by date meaning that when you sat down you weren't supported properly because they were so soft. Frankly the environment was depressing and the cost simply out of whack with the quality (or lack of), on offer.

Review 105:One staff member was rather rude when assisting to rectify a booking error, blaming booking.com and not willing to do more than necessary also trying to charge me more

Review 106:Location was perfect and the place was easy access with great clean amenities

Review 107:We use these apartments as they are very central to were we want to be, very nice rooms, good helpful staff. Good parking, plus cafes right next to the apartments

Review 108:Staff were helpful and provided some local knowledge. Location was close to CBD - easy walking distance. The paid parking was close by & allowed you to enter /exit throughout your stay.

Review 109:Very poorly designed 2 bedroom apartments. One bedroom is a hole in the wall literally. Internet in 702 wouldnt work beyond a certain point. Sofa covers torn and overall very dirty. Only air con / heater is in the living room, no way of controlling temperatures in either of the bedrooms. No housekeeping service offered since 'only' a 4 night stay. By far the worst accommodation in our 20 day New Zealand trip

Review 110:Entry with a car is off a side street & is a little difficult to find Parking is secure but in an adjacent building

Review 111:Clean and fresh with a large Lounge Dining area & separate bedroom Close to supermarket & dining places It was raining when we went for a meal so they lent us an umbrella-nice touch

Review 112:Nothing much. I suppose the breakfast might be improved, but that is a minor point.

Review 113:The apartment was spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. Nice and quiet too. Location was good too. Just a few minutes walk away from the Britomart centre and ferry terminal

Review 114:Some of the decor was a little tired and in need of replacement. It may just have been the room we were in as I've stayed here before in a different room and the furniture was in good condition.

Review 115:Excellent location for vectra arena and britomart. We stayed in a two bed room apartment which had plenty of room for a group of friends.

Review 116:The sliding door on the balcony wouldn't lock and you couldn't double bolt the front door.

Review 117:The apartment was 4 mins walk to Vector Arena, and they was a supermarket and takeaway all walking distance. 15 mins and you were in central Auckland.

Review 118:Nothing.

Review 119:Stayed overnight with 2 friends to attend Robbie Williams concert at Vector Arena. Location excellent, just a 5 min walk to the arena, great facilities and friendly staff. Have stayed twice before and will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

Review 120:Cleanliness of unit not the best standard.

Review 121:Ideal location if attending Stadium, within walking distance, Close to food outlets and restaurants, Staff at reception most helpful.

Review 122:Parking was a nightmare - facilities were full when I tried to park but when I tried to exit there was a $ 20 charge - frantic calls and trips to reception finally got it sorted though. Room was average, wish there was a bath. Not worth what we paid.

Review 123:Fantastic location close to Vector Arena and nearby Viaduct (5 minutes walk)

Review 124:The smell of the fresh towels, they smelt like milk, which my wife and kids didn't like. minor but that's the only fault we could raise.

Review 125:location to vector arean, good sized rooms.

Review 126:we were only there for two nights but our room was not serviced and the milk coffe and sugar were not topped up. the service desk gave us these items after we enquired

Review 127:had the room early for us and the staff were very helpful at the desk

Review 128:Wet patch on the carpet. No view of the city. Sofas/ chairs were terrible!! So low and soft, I couldn't get out of them.Car park hard to find...and we were directed to 5th floor because an event on at stadium next door. Car park separate to Waldorf so steps carrying luggage...not good.

Review 129:Huge spacious apartment.

Review 130:It would have been nice to have some biscuits with our cup of tea. Or maybe the option to order some.

Review 131:Excellent service we needed a roll away bed they said it would be there at 5 and it was about 5.05 with it arrived.

Review 132:The Family apartment was a great space for our adult size family. I like that children ages go up to 17, it meant my eldest daughter could be counted as a child.

Review 133:booked for 2nights room not serviced ie rubbish removed or whether we required fresh towels or needed more dishwashing or bathroom products what was provided was sufficient for 1 night

Review 134:location helpful and friendly staff

Review 135:Car park behind the building was an added cost. When staying as a group of 5 this vould have been included in the room rate.

Review 136:We had had corner suite which meant no neighbour's and a great view.

Review 137:Disappointed that with our 4 day stay, we had our towels collected once and our beds made once. Thought this would be daily. We were on level 7 yet we had a view of a car park.

Review 138:Location was excellent - we could walk into city. Shower, bed, warmth of the room and how quiet the room was given our CBD location
