Reviews for Relais Villa Acquaviva
Review 1:We were not a fan of the wine or the way they sold us the tasting.
Review 2:Loved the style of the agriturismo and wish we could have eaten at the restaurant. The property in the fall is brilliant. The natural therme is amazing (skip the hotel's).
Review 3:- No veggies at the brekkie. The room smelled of old smoke. The bed wasn't comfortable (economy, we should have got a standard room if we would have known).
Review 4:+ Really nice and helpful staff, beautiful location at the vineyard of Acquaviva. The wine tasting was awesome, relaxed, generous and friendly. The pool area was top notch. Close to the hot springs (with car).
Review 5:Maybe the complexity of the internet connection but then again this made us enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
Review 6:The entire place is enchanting, the owners (Serafino & his family) and the staff are very kind and accommodating to all the needs of the guests. The property is breath taking and has amazing view from every corner.
Review 7:Villa Acquaviva is set in attractive grounds with a swimming pool and restaurant a short walk in the gardens from the main building. Our room had a balcony overlooking the vineyards towards Montemerano. The proximity to the thermal springs at Saturnia was a bonus as we were able to visit them by car early in the morning when it was quiet . We enjoyed a walk to the town of Saturnia including a cooling paddle through the river. Choices for restaurants and bars in Montemerano were a little limited in mid September as it is a small town.
Review 8:Breakfast is limited and unimaginative often no items left, milk still in its plastic container, tables not cleared. The staff do not engage with the customers. It puts you off going to the restaurant which gets great reviews. The manager says he cannot offer a better breakfast due to Agriturismo rules.
Review 9:The secluded setting in the vast vineyards, the pool and loungers. The Villa is a quiet spot. The nearness to several restaurants in Montemerano. The reception manager is full of ideas for places to visit and speaks perfect English.
Review 10:This was our seventh visit - this time with a party of nine family and friends. It doesn't get much better than this - utter luxury, peace, beauty, wonderful food and hospitable, warm, helpful family owners. Already planning visit number eight!
Review 11:The breakfast was a little lacklustre - especially when compared to the quality of the restaurant
Review 12:Architecture and landscaping, outdoor pool, restaurant, staff
Review 13:The way we were treated when we pointed out that the room smelt badly ofstale smoke and asked if we could have an alternative room. Manager toldus that if we wanted a room guaranteed not to smell of smoke (as thestandard rooms allow smoking which I was not aware of at time ofbooking) we would have to pay for an upgrade to a non-smoking room.Stayed in the smokey room for two nights but could not stand the thoughtof a third night there. After some unpleasant haggling agreed on a50/50 split on the upgrade price difference for the third night.Rather spoilt the first few days of our trip and I would have preferredto leave after two nights but manager would not let us out of threenight booking agreement as he would have to pay booking.com charge. Wi-fi connection was almost non-existent, I only managed to log-on onceduring whole stay. Breakfast a miserly offering.
Review 14:Lovely pool area. Location is nice but no other restaurants withinwalking distance. Food in evening restaurant good but no atmosphere.
Review 15:Lack of interesting breads at breakfast and the fruit was mostly too hard to eat.
Review 16:The quietness, lovely views, friendly staff and excellent evening meals.
Review 17:Everyone of the staff was courteous, helpful and knowledgable. The property and accommodations are lovely.
Review 18:Inflexible - and the have closed the restaurant on a Tuesday due to few guests
Review 19:peaceful, rural location with easy access to nearby villages, either on foot or by road. warm welcome from staff with fluent English
Review 20:Minute shower cubicle. So small it was quite difficult to wash oneself.
Review 21:Beautiful location and very well kept and tidy. Good swimming pool. On-site restaurant. Rooms nucely decorated.
Review 22:Poor bedroom in need of decoration - uncomfortable bed Tiny shower - lack of hot water at times - Poor choice at breakfast - Dinner very disappointing
Review 23:Location - Pool - Staff
Review 24:- poor quality of the breakfast (no fresh ingredients, bad quality) - no sauna/jaccuzzi (why the name acquaviva then???) - rooms (and especially the bathroom) way too small for the price paid. The bathroom was the worst: tiny shower, not even space for two people in the bathroom, bad hairdryer and outdated. --> It was definitely the worst room/breakfast we had during our 2-week stay in Toscan, for similar prices. We ask for an upgrade (we received free upgrades in several hotels we stayed in, considering the less touristic season) but this was apparently not possible (--> we were just the 2 of us in the hotel!!!): they just do not know how to make customers happy... --> No we would not come back to Acquaviva!!
Review 25:good explanations about what to do in the area! That's about i!
Review 26:They need to serve a modest lunch to complement their nice evening dining experience. Perhaps a modest grill in the pool area.
Review 27:The staff was excellent and very accommodating. They went out of there way to enhance our stay.
Review 28:Very small room and bathroom for this price. Breakfast was charged 15euro, way too much for wat was served.
Review 29:Excellent wine tasting and restaurant!
Review 30:The staff was so wonderful & went out of their way to accomodate us in every way. The restaurant food was good the breakfast buffet was excellent, the rooms were lovely.
Review 31:The rooms, although comfortable, were a bit small.
Review 32:The staff were very friendly and the price was godd value.
Review 33:Extremely friendly staff. Tidy rooms. Nice pool and garden. Peaceful place for relaxing. Stylish interior.
Review 34:silence in splendid garden with relaxing pool.Breakfast -excellent!
