Review 1：First night it was all good. But the second night hotel had a group of young company. So that made me woke up at 2.30 at night, call reception and ask to call tourists down. Who were just sitting and drinking and speaking laudly in the next room. One leaves the rooms, go to the other room, comes back and seems like elephants are running in the coridor. As I phoned to reception,- they came and nock the door only 30 or 40 minutes after. After recepcionist ask to low their volume - those drunk guys started to knock to my door. Apparently the company was so big and I'm the only other person who stayed there - that is how they guessed who was complaining. In the morning during breakfast I received a lot of wondering look - was it me? After I check our recepcionist even did not care to ask me how was my stay or to be sorry for the loud company. Of course, 5 guys were sitting in the bar just next to recepcion, keep drinking beer, and probably asking or flirting with the recepcionist. Or she was just too young and responsible for her guests. Sad.

Review 2：Breakfast not so great but acceptable. No coffee making in the room.

Review 4：When we arrived there were only rooms with two separate beds and we could feel a smell of cigarettes in the room. The strange thing which i have never experienced before was a girl at the reception completely ignoring me when it came to picking up a room. I was the one to book a room and pay for it, when we arrived i handle the conversation but when i asked what rooms were available for some reason she started to refer only to my boyfriend. I don't know maybe it has something to do with Lithuanian mentality and role of man in the society but for me it was really strange - we are not in the medieval times and Lithuania is supposed to be a part of Europe these days.

Review 10：The staff was very friendly and most helpful. The women at the desk went out of their way to help us and spoke fluent English. They made us feel very welcome. The beds were comfortable and the shower in Room 212, if I remember it correctly, was fantastic.

Review 18：Breakfast was average, we only ate there one out of four mornings that we stayed at Memel and choose old town cafes instead. Staff in reception could have been more friendly and should greated their guests entering/leaving hotel grounds. Every day ( we stayed 4 nights) our card to open door, was not working and we had to visit reception desk to update it. Saldy we also did not receive any apology for inconvenience it caused us. We found cleaning staff to be more friendlier, they greated us whenever we saw them and always with smile. Something for reception staff definetely to take note and improve ! Saying all we would consider staying at Memel Hotel again when we visit Klaipėda, location and overall hotel makes up for not so great points mentioned. We hope service of reception staff will improve and we could add Memel to our favourite hotel list and of course choose Memel more often while staying in Klaipėda.

Review 19：Location of hotel was great, secure gated car park and comfortable bed, big shower. You could easily walk to old town and Dane river marina in few minutes.

The room was spacious, clean and well arranged. Breakfast was excellent, with variety of hot and cold dishes. Plenty of vegetables and fresh fruit.

Review 32：Memel is a very nice hotel within a very short distance to the Old Town. I had a 3rd floor attic room which was very cozy. Impeccably clean, with nice bedding, spacious and convenient bathroom, good wifi. Mattresses might be too soft for some people, but I enjoyed sleeping on it for a change:-) Breakfast if very decent, served between 7 and 10am. Big enough parking lot. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Overall I had a wonderful 3 night stay. Will definitely come back.

We didn't have any special requests, so don't know how staff handles it, however the general impression about the staff and hotel is very good. Clean appartments, noise prevention is good.

Review 52：Location is good, very close to the old city and also big shopping centre ''AKROPOLIS'' is nearby if you are taveling with car. The room was clean and nice. I asked to put glasses and candles in our room and they were there as requested + towel swans and artifical rose leaves on the bed. (I didnt ask for them, but is was very nice of housemaids). Breakfast was tasty and pleasantly.

This hotel is so good, it would deserve a few rooms upgraded with frigobar and a safe. Review 59：We've stayed a weekend in Klaipeda, at the Memel hotel and that was incredible! Very clean, spacious rooms. Very very comfortable beds. Great buffet breakfast and excellent service. Close to old town and great dining place at Friedrich's passage. Quiet and tasteful. Though it is rated 3 star hotel it's amenities exceed all expectations. Thank you!

Review 60：Avoid upper floor if you want to sit in the bed. The ceiling is too low. Watch your head while approaching the WC also.

The breakfast, served in open area in back of hotel is superb, with several traditional Lithuanian choices. We also appreciated computer access.

They took payments after us having to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to finish her call, but the beds are worth it! Because of no central air system inthe rooms, the windows need to opened to very noisy (old stone) street.One room was very small on 3rd roof floor with only 2 small roofwindows. In case of rain (we had during the night) the noise from roofand windows was much too high for normal sleep. Sound insulation of thewalls is very poor too. Reception staff looks like very unhappy,impolite and with no smile (but this maybe is normal for Lithuanians).In general, the hotel looks ok, but you must be lucky to have the rightroom not to spoil your stay...

Review 77：The room smelled of soap when we entered and it was very irritating and unpleasant smell. We had to open windows to make it disappear. We stayed in this hotel in August with +30C outside and NO air-conditioning in rooms. While sleeping we were forced to open the window and unluckily our window faced the street which made our night a nightmare because of the noise. If you have a chance - always ask for rooms facing the yard.

Review 78：Hotel is in walk-able distance to the city center. Rooms were clean. Free parking space. After horrible night almost without any sleep the staff arranged free breakfast which was nice and made us feel less unhappy.

Open windows however no option, since the room was at the frontside, next to a cobblestone street that proved to be very busy, also at night, with fast driving cars and buses making a hell of a noise. Shower not perfect in case you have a child and don't want him to be washed fully (e.g. don't wash hair). Shower head is fixed and you can neither rotate it nor change the direction water flows. At least a very small refrigerator could stand in each room, missing as well. Double bed had a very soft mattress, moreover there was not one but two mattresses, therefore it was not a comfortable space/gap between then.

Review 91：The hotel cheats with room descriptions! I booked a Standard Double for Single use, which had to be 15 sq.m. In fact - admitted by the staff - the hotel has different rooms of different sizes. All rooms are called 'Standard', by my 'Standard Double' was around 8 sq.m. with no possibility to change it due to 'overbooked hotel'. Same price for very different rooms, so if you still decide to book Memel, simply be conscious of this.

Review 92：A lot, but crossed out by room size not complying with my reservation and attempts of the staff to treat this situation as 'normal'.

Review 95：Smoking area under our window, room 214, smell came up into our room. Had no hot water in the morning and for a time in the afternoon. No ac but I guess that is not unusual in many hotels. It just happened to be pretty hot when we were there. A.fan was provided when we asked.

Review 97：No air conditioning -might be a problem when it gets really hot, no fridges in rooms. The only really odd thing in this hotel was the price list for laundry -you pay for each item about 2 - 5€ depending on how big the cloth is. It becomes quite expensive if you have a lot of laundry.
