Set on the Praia a Mare seafront, the family-run Hotel Garden has its own private beach and is a short walk from the town’s centre and nightlife. It features a bar and restaurant serving Calabrian specialities.
Offering balconies with views of the beach or hills, rooms here have furnishings that were handmade by local craftsman. They are all air conditioned and feature a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.
The buffet breakfast is continental and includes croissants, fruit, cereal and homemade local produce. The restaurant serves Italian cuisine and Calabrian dishes and wines. Meals can be enjoyed out in the garden and at the beach.
The Garden Hotel’s private beach was opened in 2012 and includes parasols, sun loungers, changing rooms and a bar and restaurant. Staff at reception can organise boat trips up the coast to Maratea or across to Dino Island. Other activites include white water rafting own the River Lao or hiking in Pollino National Park.
Trains to Naples and Reggio Calabria stop at Praia Train Station, a 3-minute walk away. Guests have discounts at some partner shops in the town.

Review 1：No complaints! Everything was perfect for us.

Review 2：From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome and even offered us a free upgrade to a sea view room. The breakfast is very good with a wide selection of cereal, cakes, fruit, toast, preserves, yoghourt and, on request eggs, ham and cheese. Without exception all of the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Review 3：The facilities on the private beach of the hotel, like beds and umbrelas, aren't for free for the hotel's visitors.

Review 5：Ginario the beach keeper is amazing!!! He is the happiest person and upbeat . Hotel is nice close to beach just cross the small road. Breakfast is not special but ok. Rooms are decent.

Review 7：We stayed in Italy for a month. This hotel was our favorite of all our accommodations. The hotel is modern. The room was beautiful. There wasn't one aspect of this hotel that did not exceed our expectations. We would rebook this hotel for a future trip to Praia A Mare.

Review 13：Maid did my washing and folded .staff helpful with all queries. Make sure you take a boat ride to Dino Island with Arturo. We were fortunate to be the only passengers as it was low season what an experience.

Review 14：Perhaps the only thing to improve is the bidet in the bath room, which should be more practical.

Review 19：We had been travelling for several weeks and stayed in many mediocre hotels. This place was so nice and clean, nothing leaked or was broken, there was wifi as promised. The staff helped us with more travel plans and phoned to make an appointment for my wife at a hair dresser. The food was top notch. You could tell it was a family run business. They were all very friendly and helpful. They spoke good English.

Review 20：This is a lovely family hotel in a beautiful Calabrian town called Praia a mare. We have stayed in for two years already and will surely come again. The rooms are spotless, the stuff and the owners are very helpful and extremely friendly, and the sweet cakes made by la Signora are absolutely marvelous.

Review 21：Do not eat your dinner at the hotels restaurant. for 20 euro seems not expensive, but it is a mistake if you don't go to a nearby restaurant
