Reviews for Hotel & Restaurante La Gran Francia
Review 1:My room was in separate building, had no windows and was extremely noisy. Music in bar next door was so loud, that it was not possible to asleep till 00:30 AM. Breakfast location was 2 blocks away.
Review 2:Location and the overall view. Nicely renovated, comfortable bathrooms.
Review 3:The location is fantastic, right on the Parque Central, but with that comes noise.
Review 4:Beautifully restored building, very clean and gorgeous garden setting for restaurant
Review 5:The offer is to stay in historical hotel but in reality some of guests got rooms in the building under ongoing renovation 2 blocks from main building with reception
Review 6:The staff was very accommodating, we were traveling with a large group of family members and they were able to serve us all. The hotel is impeccably clean and the location is perfect for a visit to this beautiful city.
Review 7:The wifi was not working the first day, We were given the wrong type of room The first day, and the parking was a few blocks away. The attendant charged us $4 per day for parking.
Review 8:Great location in town next to the main plaza, beautiful delux King room, nice pool, breakfast was pretty good for being included in the room rate.
Review 9:I had reserved a bedroom with two queen beds and they gave me a room with a king size bed. When I complained they put a second bed in the room. The room did not have all the facilities. It had a desk and lamp but no plug for light or computer. The bathroom was poorly designed. No place to place our toiletries.s. Breakfast was really bad too. It truly fell below my expectations.
Review 10:The location is central, near the main square with many restaurants close by. The staff were very pleasant. Huge double room with a/c and nice hot shower.
Review 11:Not much. I think they have a good place to stay with comfort in Granada
Review 12:This is a hotel with a great location in the Center of Granada. Rooms are large enough and well maintained. Great breakfast.
Review 13:Overall too austere. No refrigerator in the room - very poor for this standard of hotel in such a hot climate.
Review 14:Interesting building, heavy on religious iconography and dark, heavy furniture. Nice restaurant and good wifi. Big room, short on extra blankets. Shower just ok.
Review 15:I had booked for four days a room described as offering a beautiful view of the tropical garden. There was no view at all except for a whitewashed wall at a meter distance. The place was in renovation. The noise all day long prevented any rest. The third night the went on hammering and swaing until one am.Did not slepp for a minute. I decided to leave one day in advance. Was chaged the full fee, Oh yes they did offer a free dinner and to change room. The place should be called the great hoax
Review 16:The hotel design is fabulous, the staff wonderful. The decorations extraordinary. The pool fabulous. The gardens wonderful.
Review 17:I love the atmosphere, the staff were always eager to help out, very friendly and competent. The rooms were clean, spacious and elegant with a distinctive antique touch. Definitely I would recommended it.

Review 19:My husband and I went for our 10th Anniversary. We loved the friendly staff and the bed and breakfast
Review 20:Bathroom seemed a little outdated, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Our room was a little dark with the balcony doors closed (ac)
Review 21:Big rooms in colonial style. Near the center. Staff was nice and helpful. You can choose your breakfast from the menu.
Review 22:The indoor swimming pool had two 110 volt outlets one of which was less than 3 feet from the edge of the pool. These should be removed.
Review 23:2nd floor room had balcony overlooking street...nice for sitting out in the early evening. Staff was friendly and although there was no bottled water in the rooms, there was a water cooler where one could fill up one's own water bottle.
Review 24:I could hear noise from outside (cars, music, etc), but it didn't bother me. If you're sensitive to this sort of thing, ask for a room on the inner side of the building.
Review 25:My room was spacious, the bed was amazing, and breakfast was delicious! This hotel is in the center of town. The building is beautiful and real treat.

Review 51:Nice and very helpful staff. Quiet hotel with beautiful and tasty restaurant.
Review 52:Great location, very spacious rooms & comfortable kingsize bed!
Review 53:I would recommend that the hotel not charge for local calls. Also, would have liked to have known deadline to get car parked in private garage at night. I left the car on the side street of the hotel because we arrived at 11 pm and was told then it was too late to get parked in the private garage.
Review 54:Loved the service, very polite staff. The location is great as it feels authentic, yet allows you to enjoy modern amenities.
Review 55:Stayed 4 nights. Wonderful and comfortable. The king bed was super comfy. Sheets excellent. Very clean place. Beautiful hotel on the inside. AC great. Breakfast was best in Nicaragua.
Review 56:The parking situation freaked me out because I had to leave at 4 a.m. for my flight and it took 45 minutes to retrieve my car from the parking lot because the concierge didn't have a map to the parking lot and he couldn't walk me there to show me where it was because he was the only person on duty.
Review 57:the building was absolutely amazing.
Review 58:The only thing that bothered us was that the shower curtain had a little mildew and since everything else in the hotel was so neat and tidy any little thing like this calls your attention.
Review 59:The colonial architecture is preserved really well. The location is awesome, you are less than 50 feet from the main square and you are one block away from the "calzada", a street full of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The hotel crew is very attentive and very helpful.
Review 60:No hot water Broken shower head No tv signal No parking, I has to take my cat to a parking lot suggested by the hotel. The cost was cheap ($2), but the place closed at 10pm I needed my car at 11 and the parking lot guy said, no, can't take your car, we are closed. So I had to take a taxi to run errand I need to do. It was crazy.
Review 61:Awesome staff, very polite and wiling to help, which is rare to find in Nicaragua.
Review 62:It is a colonial place, but shower head need to be update!
Review 63:Great location. If you want a view ask before They asigned it. Restaurant very good food And services.
Review 64:Nothing
Review 65:All the staff were wonderful and caring. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The pool was sparkling and welcoming after a hot day. Breakfasts were great and they even packed a breakfast when we had to leave early one morning. Nothing was too much trouble. Location near the main square and walking street was excellent with many restaurants to choose from.
Review 66:Restaurant was poor. Food was not good at all, we asked for salmon carpaccio and twice it was served frozen. Tenderloin was ordered medium rare and served well done. For breakfast, twice we had to ask for our eggs to be remade. Also, when we inquired about leaving a day early, hotel staff made it very difficult to accomodate our request, and after the people from booking got involved they kind of gave as an answer. At the end, we ended up paying last night´s stay as a credit in the restaurant, which as stated before, was very poor in quality. And we didnt even spend the night´s money in our dinner so they hotel ended up making 30+ dollars for a room they surely sold that night.
Review 67:Location and bedroom was super good. Nice pool to enjoy during the very hot hours of the day.
Review 68:I like the hotel personnel, very kind, very attentive. the location is great, jut few steps away from the main city attractions. Thank you Kathya and all the hotel crew for your attentions.
Review 69:Internet was iffy --very iffy --bath rooms were dateed modern whilerest of hotel is pure colonial --closet was musty --no extrapillows available
Review 70:Superior location ---great pool shaded by building and trellace--greatawesome breakfast cool balcony

Review 73:Just a little noisy on the street side.
Review 74:Staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very well situated for exploring the old town whilst being calm and peaceful inside.
Review 75:The restaurant related to the hotel. Breakfast was good but dinner not good at all. Just eat elsewhere, there are lot's of good restaurants nearby. Also the shower was a bit short on hot water.
