Reviews for Hotel De Leugenaar

Review 1:10th visit or so in past several years. Great place to stay the weekend! Easy walk to center of town, always something going on, great view of the ocean, can't be beat.

Review 2:We ate breakfast there all four mornings of our stay, and it is generally excellent but you need to get there early to get the good stuff like fresh fruit and scrambled eggs, because they don't restock it. This got old after a while and is not up to the standard that we have found at other hotels.

Review 3:The location of the hotel and the view from the rooms facing the ocean are extraordinary. If you can book a room with a balcony facing the ocean, do it, you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay.

Review 4:Tiny and cramped room, filled leftover glass from previous (hopefully) occupant, room just not well designed in overall.

Review 5:Great location, good parking, good breakfast. Pretty okay balcony.

Review 6:Nothing really rooms are basic, and need of updating decor wise. I'm used to UK hotels having tea & coffee in the rooms, its different in Dutch hotels it seems? Nothing major

Review 7:Rooms was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a lovely setting on the sea front, a pity the weather wasn't the best when I stayed. The room was very quiet too. This place is cheaper than the other hotels in the town.

Review 8:Wifi not so not so reliable, lift out of service at night so had to walk thee stairs up.

Review 9:When I needed urgent medical attention staff came immediately. When I was not back in time tio chack-out staff told me it was no problem and the room would be blocked for me without additional pay. Very good service !

Review 10:They renovated the rooms! TVs are bigger, the older brown wood tables, night tables, bed headboard replaced with a light, white-ish wood. Repainted, too. Very nice! And, as always, breakfast was great, staff super helpful and friendly.

Review 11:Very very small room

Review 12:Direct to the water

Review 13:room very small

Review 14:The beautiful view on the sea

Review 15:view of estuary; friendly staff

Review 16:They let me have another room due to storm, was very grateful

Review 17:Soft bed

Review 18:Sea view, location, ample parking space, friendly staffs, reasonable room rate

Review 19:sea view rooms

Review 20:no hairdryer and extra mirror in room

Review 21:location, breakfast, coffee and tea facilities for guests, restaurant

Review 22:Excellent restaurant and very flexible staff given later arrival than originally estimated.

Review 23:room was a bit on the small side, bed took up almost the the whole room

Review 24:location, right on the boulevard. room had a balcony with sea view. breakfast was nice.

Review 25:Everything was tastefully decorated. The only thing was the worn carpet in the entry to the hotel. Also, the matress was a bit worn.

Review 26:We enjoyed the view from a balcony room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our breakfast was ample and other meals were very good, too. We could easily walk to the cafes and shopping. We found Vlissingen to be charming and would return to stay in the very same hotel.

Review 27:This is our 6th or 8th or 10th stay at the Leugenaar, so we must like it! Staff are friendly, location by the beach is perfect, easy walk into center of town, great breakfast.

Review 29:Gap between matrasses in double bed, every night.

Review 30:The view, the quality of food and drink, the nice staff, the general atmosphere of friendliness and relaxation.

Review 31:The room was very cramped, the water in the heating system was verynoisy, flushing water from upstairs room was very noisy. The inclusionof bathrooms into each bedroom really detracts from the original graceof the building, and the acoustic tile ceilings were not in keeping withthe character of the hotel or area ambience.

Review 32:It was clean, and suited my needs (a bed for the night) for this trip

Review 33:Nothing to complain about.
