Reviews for Hotel Villa Margherita
Review 1:nearby beach is with algae No much to do in the place itself except for great excursions
Review 2:Cleanliness, big rooms, well maintained gardens, nice waiters at breakfast/dinner
Review 3:Wifi was a bit hit and miss but other than that it was faultless.
Review 4:The location of this hotel and cleanliness - it was immaculate! Despite being in the centre of town it was very quiet.
Review 5:Description of gym as 'well equipped' is misleading. Not enough sunbeds. Pictures on hotel description made it look like all rooms had a balcony, which was not the case.
Review 6:Convenient for town. Most staff were helpful Good breakfast Jacuzzi
Review 7:Poor wifi - although free! Repeated login required and poor signal strength. Local beach nice, but not great for swimming. Car necessary to reach other beaches.
Review 8:We had a fantastic break a Villa Margherita. Everyone at the hotel was lovely - reception, waiting staff and cleaners. The pool is gorgeous with sunbeds scattered in the beautiful garden. Good breakfast with everything we needed (fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, cheeses etc) and a great cappuccino! Town is small, but comes alive in the evening - craft market, restaurants and great ice-cream. A lovely, relaxing week away.
Review 9:Everything. The staff are wonderful and go out of there way to help and make sure you have not just a pleasant but a perfect stay. They let me check in very early after an exhausting journey, even giving me some coffee on the house, and let me check out late for my flight. The menu for dinner was fabulous with a good wine list by the glass. The tranquil gardens were the perfect place to read and relax surrounded by butterflies and house martins, and the gorgeous swimming pool was wonderful for burning off some energy! They also served the best hotel breakfast ever with an array of incredible fresh fruit! There isn't much to do in the area but in a hotel like that you don't want to leave!
Review 10:Faultless, so nothing
Review 11:The staff were wonderfully efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful grounds and general standard of cleanliness was first class - an exceptionally high standard throughout.
Review 12:The whole staff was so helpful and friendly (especially one lady called Inga). Whenever we had a question about good restaurants (they made fabulous suggestions), wanted to rent a boat or just needed something, they were always there with a big smile on their faces. The grill restaurant belonging to the hotel has great food as well. The location is superb as well, and there's little markets on the street in front of the hotel. Overall an amazing experience. Would definitely go back!
Review 13:Nothing, only local train is not very reliable.
Review 14:Not far from beaches and restaurants, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful garden and swimming pool.
Review 15:Some road noise on balcony, not that intrusive as traffic very light and slow moving.
Review 16:We'll run hotel, good location, view from balcony, excellent food
Review 17:Internet not great- need to log in each time you want to use it No iron in bedrooms nor was one available on request
Review 18:Excellent staff, super friendly Beautiful location and views Lovely pool
Review 19:The shops in the area were closed. Not the hotels fault but there was very little to do around the hotel. If you are looking for a place to relax it is perfect.
Review 20:Beautiful hotel wonderful staff.
Review 21:The breakfast was very mediocre for English tastes but the other guests were primarily Italian so to be expected.
Review 22:Our own sun terrace with loungers and private spa. The gorgeous gardens. The lovely friendly staff. The real Italian village atmosphere.
Review 23:There was nothing remotely unlikable about our stay!
Review 24:There was nothing I didn't like, the whole experience of the Hotel Villa Margherita was excellent! Staff more than happy to help, food great ( had half board), room large and very clean! A totally wonderful stay!
Review 25:Price level is high
Review 26:Location great, very cosy, clean, High standard whith everythink, friendly and helpfull staff and rooms are big and contains a lot of space and all in all very nice.
Review 27:The place was quite noisy, because of the bars and parties outside. Nearest pizzeria I can't recommend to anybody.
Review 28:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Balcony was very nice with super view
Review 29:No bad experience
Review 30:Lovely view from the balcony, clean, near the beach, pool was especially beautiful in the evening
Review 31:The staff were great. Special mention to Mara who was very sweet and helpful
Review 32:Wifi worked pretty weak. No more complaints.
Review 33:Nice hotel in great location. We were very happy with always helpful staff.
Review 34:No Wifi in room

Review 36:Wifi is average
Review 37:We had an awesome time in sardinia. The staff was very friendly, the room very nice, good breakfast. Overall very good hotel!
Review 38:Right on beach. Great restaurants near by
Review 39:The pool was considerably cooler than the sea !
Review 40:The friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.Excellent food.
Review 41:the location and the sea view is fantastic.the swimming pool is clean and large enough for lines. we love it.
Review 42:None
Review 43:Excellent Service, convenient location, comfortable, clean, fantastic view from the hotel.
Review 44:Minor gripe - No coffee making facilities in room.
Review 45:Beautiful gardens, pool excellent views, staff, decor and location.
Review 46:This should be 5 star hotel.
Review 47:Nothing!!
Review 48:Small, intimate hotel with friendly staff, which was very clean and well run. Loved the privacy of the garden and not having to worry that there were enough sun-beds. Very relaxed atmosphere with a great location for restaurants and the beach.
Review 49:THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS IN A VERY QUIET RESORT, WITH FEW SHOPS AND SMALL CHOICE OF PLACES TO EAT OUT. SMALL PORTIONS AT DINNER.
Review 50:BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, VERY CLEAN, HELPFUL STAFF, RELAXING HOMELY ATMOSPHERE, GREAT BREAKFAST, LARGE SUITES.
Review 51:traveling from USA to Sardinia difficult
Review 52:Service-very clean-great location-food excellent-many restaurants within walking distance-prices very reasonable-family run hotel and run very well
Review 53:The toilet door being transparent!
Review 54:The hotel was excellent; clean, well presented, exceptionally friendly staff, great pool, lovely facilities and delicious breakfasts
Review 55:The location was empty and the restaurants poor. Though there are many of them, they offer a minute menu ( more like cafes ), and are expensive for the quality of food provided. The beach is quite lack lustre, though if you're a walker, you can get to much prettier beaches within 2 miles. Because everything was so empty and lacking in atmosphere, we felt we had to hire a car which we had not budgeted for. At €80 per day with insurance, it made this one of our most expensive holidays. The breakfast was poor. Such a limited selection and exactly the same choice for 10 days. Only fired eggs and streaky bacon, 4 types of cereal, ham and cheese, tinned fruit, yogurt , a few pastries and bread. Definitely not 4 *. There was a selection of whole fruit to help yourself to, but I also thought that was never quite ripe or past its' best.
Review 56:The staff were excellent! So helpful and friendly you couldn't have asked for more. In it's location it was the best hotel by a long way. Dinner was very good in comparison to most other dining experiences in Sardinia. Generally other restaurants really only feature pizza and pasta unless you want to pay through the nose for fish, but the hotel had a bigger selection at slightly more reasonable prices.
Review 57:We stayed end Oct so end of season so restaurant closed and village and surroundings very quiet. Not warm enough to use the pool. Was not a problem for us as we were mainly touring the island by car but we cannot comment on these facilities Did not appreciate having only Italian TV
Review 58:Clean, comfortable, pragmatic hotel Good value for money end of season
Review 59:In the restaurant menu a small selection of dishes, a couple of days you do not know what to choose. One time we were given sheets with patches! The first time I saw it, and did not expect to see a darned linen in 4 * hotel. The hotel does not offer any excursions, and the town is very small, it is not something that is nothing to see, where we did not find any decent restaurant, so basically prefer a restaurant in the hotel. Although it turned out to a nearby restaurant to eat oysters, the restaurant itself does not look very respectable. The breakfast was given little fresh fruit, and if come after 10 am, no bacon, no eggs, no, and you have to wait about 20 minutes, although the breakfast until 11 am. I once waited for the water for 10 minutes.
Review 60:We took a room with a jacuzzi, we liked very much, did not immediately realize the only ask to make the water warm. The staff is very friendly and tries to help everyone. The grounds are very beautiful, the beach is very close. Transparent sea and beautiful. The restaurant is tasty and not expensive to feed, especially liked the hot chocolate cake. Thank you very much to the chef! Good breakfast: bacon, fried eggs. In a nearby restaurant like oysters.
Review 61:The food was excellent. We have visited Italy several times but this wasthe first time we have chosen half-board - we were delighted with thechoice and the quality of the food. The staff were friendly and helpfuland were very good at remembering how we liked our coffee, what kind ofwater we preferred, etc. The gardens around the infinity pool werebeautiful, with a wide range of shrubs and small trees.
Review 62:We were thoroughly impressed with our stay at this hotel. The staff were particularly helpful and attentive, our room and all public areas were spotlessly clean. Breakfast on the shaded terrace overlooking the swimming pool during a hot August week was very welcome and sunbeds in the extensive gardens or around the pool were readily available at any time of day. We were booked on a bed & breakfast basis and chose to eat at a different restaurant most evenings, all within easy walking distance. The Hotel is centrally located in Golfo Aranchi close to the beach, shops and restaurants and when the new marina is completed in the coming months this make for a very pleasant walk in the early mornings and late evenings. We certainly hope to return to this hotel next spring.
Review 63:Very poor breakfest. No changes in food at all. In front of the hotel there is no beach only marina under construction. The nearest beach (100 meters from the hotel) is not good enough. To reach good beach you should go about 500 meters.
Review 64:Hotel is situated at central part of the holiday region! All events was near the hotel. Pool and garden are very nice! If you have a car you can reach very nice places with panoramic views, nice beches, isles and mountains.
Review 65:There is a construction area infront of the hotel at the sea shore. It is noisy.
Review 66:The pearl of the hotel is its restaurant. Lunch is not served there. The rooms are clean but not suitable for the family with 2 kids. The staff is nice. The beach is 500 meters walk. But in general not so bad.
Review 67:We stayed for 7 nights in Hotel Villa Margherita and I can't recommend the hotel enough. The staff are all very lovely and friendly, the hotel and surroundings are spotlessly clean and the level of service we enjoyed during our stay was 5*. The hotel is a little lacking in entertainment, but if you are looking for a relaxing holiday (which thankfully we were) in a romantic location you will not regret staying here.
Review 68:At this time there is construction of a new marina across the street, but their large and imaculate garden conceal it. No work was done on theweekend, I can't say about durring the week. The extensive worksencompas the waterfront for about 1 Km, up to the main Harbour. I lookforward to returning after its completion. The beach is aproxamately100m walk off their property across the road and easily accesable.Someone stole the air-pump off my bike in the front entrance, they musthave needed it more than me.
Review 69:There is nothing negative about Villa Margherita. Very comfortable, excelent value, accomodating staff. Newly renovated. Their restaurant isvery good and has a garden/pool view that is hard to beat at sunset. Thecity is very Mountain Bike friendly. There are some incredible, secludedbeaches 3-4Km towards Capo Figari, past the Porto, and lots more toexplore. It's very centrally located, close to everything, I will bereturning.
Review 70:Lovely setting with great staff! The Thursday night Sardinian dinner was excellent! So good that we got engaged in the hotel garden!!
Review 71:the hotel didn't have a restaurant during off peak times
Review 72:the staff were really friendly and very accommodating
Review 73:Nothing
Review 74:Nics fasility and exellent sevice
Review 75:shower is too small
Review 76:Friendly staff, beautifull garden, nice clean room
Review 77:Friendly atmosphere, excellent food and service. Excellent location for beaches, walking and visiting NE Sardinia.
Review 78:Location is far from city of oliba. Train schedule 4times per day only. Taxi cost 60 euros to city center .
Review 79:Staff are very friendly
