Reviews for Hotel De Ruyter

Review 1:Stairs due to my old age. Owner helps with suitcases witch i felt bad about it. Owner kind yet not to friendly

Review 2:Breakfast was excellent. Owner kind and welcoming. Small rooms but comfortable. Excellent position able to reach beach and city withing 5 minutes or less walk !!

Review 3:Square footage of the room was a bit tight for two people. The beds were saggy in the middle but comfortable enough for good rest.

Review 4:The owner was warm and accomodating. He helped us get oriented to the downtown area quickly. Breakfasts were wonderful and back porch an added plus.

Review 5:Nothing much really.

Review 6:Very nice receptionist told us all the practical info about Vlissingen. The location is just by the sea with public parking on the same street. Free coffee/tea. Full breakfast even with boiled eggs and fresh orange juice. Lots of English tv channels if interested. Overall definitely recommended.

Review 7:The warm welcome, the ambience and the quality of the furniture and fittings. Wilco has brought the garden inside with his careful choice and positioning of plants. The patio is a peaceful suntrap once again brought alive by the selection and colours of the potted plants.

Review 8:Breakfast starts from 8:30. It was too late. I had no chance to enjoy breakfast, although the fee includes the cost for breakfast...

Review 9:The location was very good. Easy to access to supermarket, beach, Restaurant etc.

Review 10:I had to leave early in the morning and upon depositing my room key at reception I noticed that a bag containing a full continental breakfast (cheese and ham croissant, two slices of buttered fruit loaf, a yoghurt, a banana, a chocolate bar, and a fruit juice) had been left for me. Excellent hotel all round.

Review 11:Great location, very clean hotel, friendly attentive owner and staff. Great breakfast and free hot drinks all day! Overall a very comfortable friendly hotel. Enjoyed our stay there very much and would definately return.

Review 12:I had some difficulty finding the hotel because I couldn't see a street name anywhere at the town end of the street, though I later found a clear one at the seaward end. The stairs are extremely steep, though I suppose that's typical of the Netherlands.

Review 13:Very friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant, comfortable room in which everything worked. Good breakfast selection with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Review 14:The reception was very friendly and welcoming. The room was scrupulously clean and comfortable.breakfast was excellent and coffe was on tap. In the town centre and overnight parking easy. Definitely going back.vbvery comfortable

Review 17:No frig in the room, everything was so fifties or maybe even forties. Outside noise al night long. Washing basin poorly placed, toilet rather narrow.

Review 37:Very friendly helpful proprietor made us feel very welcome. Lovely breakfast each day and the free coffee was great when we came in as the weather was freezing! Parking permit was a big help and better value than paying on street or nearby car park rates.

Review 38:Relatief kleine kamer (twin comfort room). Echter precies zoals op de foto's, dus je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

Review 39:Lekker ontbijt. Aardige staf. Makkelijk te vinden en dicht bij het centrum.

Review 40:Very friendly and serviceminded owner. Nice hotel in an old building, felt a bit like someones home. Close to the beachwalk and a lot of nice resturants. Breakfast very good with frech pressed orange juice.

Review 41:In the morning you can hear the water running from the neighboring rooms, but you have to get up anyway for breakfast, so not a real disturbance. Shared balcony (but too cold to enjoy it).

Review 42:We had a very relaxing stay. Very friendly owner who runs the hotel almost like a B&B. Good size, clean room. The hallway always smelt nice and fresh, when returning to the hotel. Free WiFi . Great breakfast with assortment of different breads and buns, delicious local delicacies, fresh fruit juice etc. Friendly atmosphere among guests. Owner made one feel at home and gave very good advice on great restaurants and valuable information for daily trips to nearby towns (differences between the towns and what one can expect to find there). Breakfast room is like a living at home: free tea, assortment of coffees and hot chocolate during the entire day. Clear and reasonable information on what to expect from the owner and you as a guest. We can recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Review 43:The host was excellent, welcoming, and happy to help with any information we were looking for. The room was comfortable, and there was wireless internet in the whole hotel.

Review 44:Room was a bit small. I'm not the person for small talk in the morning(in fact, you would better leave me alone with a cup of coffee). However, if you are the type that does appreciate this personal touch, and are not looking for a luxury-all-over-the-place-hotel, this is theplace you are looking for.

Review 45:Easy to find. Very friendly staff. Simple, clean room. WiFi workedexcellent, strong signal and no limitations with regard to data ortime spent on the internet. Absolutely excellent breakfast. Owner wasreally trying very hard to make one feel at home. Breakfastroom islike a living at home: an open fire and free tea and coffee during theentire day.
