Review 5：Had a great week at the City Lodge, so much that we actually booked up for a second week too. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The "hostel" was more like a good budget hotel than most hostels I've stayed at. Queen room was very comfy. Downstairs kitchen/lounge was spacious and convenient. Only a few minutes walk from city centre. Thanks to all staff for a very nice stay.

Review 20：The staff was above and beyound friendly and helpful. They were so helpful with directions; printed out google mapsfor us as we were driving to Rotorua as "tourist drivers"! The accomodations were spotlessand if you wish to cook your food the common cooking area was spotless and stocked with all pots etc. City Lodge also has on site reserved parking which is a huge plus in centre city area! Highly recommend!!!

While the noise was reasonably muffled no effort had been made to block the streetlights out. Only Venetian blinds when really the room would benefit from the blackout roller blinds plus curtains. The wifi was useless, possibly doesn't work in the room booked, they shouldn't sell it to people if it doesn't work.

There is no air con but a fan is provided if it gets to hot. The main shops, bars are all within a 10 minute walking distance and a cab to the airport costs approx $30 dollars
