Reviews for Hotel De Valk

Review 1:The stairs. Very windy open staircase. Difficult for me to carry my suitcase to our room .no offer of help. When I booked I mentioned my husband's reduced mobility but the hotel did not come back to me about the stairs

Review 2:I think a price for the hotel room is rather overrated taking into consideration an environment in general. The town is very provencial and does not represent anything special to see and visit. Certainly there are a few towns situated in 15-20 km that I would recommend to visit.

Review 3:Restaurants in the town! Food was excellent everywhere we ate, great presentation, sort of fin French cuisine, really amasing for such a provincial country side village-town...

Review 4:Nothing.

Review 5:I spent two nights here attending the Zeeland Liberation commemoration and it was just perfect. Friendly, quiet, clean, great location with reasonable room rates and a good breakfast.

Review 6:Nothing

Review 7:This is a very good hotel that I'm happy to recommend. I spent two nights here for the Zeeland Liberation commemorations and everything was perfect.

Review 8:Breakfast buffet fairly basic Noise in the night, till two in the morning. Not much a place to sleep well

Review 9:Location close to the beach ,free parking good for walks

Review 10:unpleasant smell in the bathroom, the shower only had a plastic curtain which meant a wet floor afterwards, a lot of noise from the rooms on the upper floor, breakfast was ok, though we missed some fresh fruit.

Review 11:perfect location, friendly staff, good beds

Review 12:Rooms are a bit "old-fashioned" but charming

Review 13:Perfect location, very close to the beach, restaurants and shop, in a little village

Review 14:The staff were helpful from the moment I arrived, room was comfortable and breakfast excellent even for a vegetarian. No complaints.

Review 15:Wifi was so slow that I just turned it off and used my 3G phone for what needed to be done. (staying in touch with family) Also, our first morning we got up and took showers, left the towels on the floor. We came back to the room fairly late that evening and there were no towels at all in our room. We had brought beach towels for the beach so we used those our second morning. After that no issue whatsoever.

Review 16:Location is great. Right by the sea and many places to eat etc just nearby. The Owner/Manager was just fantastic, very friendly. We also had the one room with the balcony and that was really nice to have that space and be able to sit out there in the evenings.

Review 17:Poor sound insulation in hotel room.

Review 18:Westkapelle is on the westernmost tip of Walcheren and is surrounded by the sea on three sides. If you need a quite place to aviod the noisy tourists, you should come here to enjouy your holidays.

Review 19:the hotel needs definitivly a renovation.

Review 20:The location in the small city the silence, the landlady, the restaurant in the neighborhood.

Review 21:It was just as we hoped.
