Reviews for Hotel Abdij de Westerburcht

Review 1:The room was pleasant, the bed was good and everything worked. Breakfast was also good. The bacon was soggy, due to being covered with a lid without holes. However, the manager told us that a new set-up for the presentation will soon deal with the issue.

Review 2:Sauna is described in the website as hotel facilities, but no additional cost is mentioned there while in fact guests should pay extra for using sauna. This info should be mentioned in the website.

Review 3:We got upgrade to a better room without additional charge. We liked the room very much (nice thematic room with comfortable bed). The dinner was wonderful, and the breakfast was also nice. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

Review 4:Staff member arranged for his wife to drop me at Beilen station on departure to catch earlier train for Schiphol flight, a very nice extra gesture to assist. Great apple pie, great lunches, central location, quiet.

Review 5:It was close to perfect. Would have been great if there was a gym but I did my workout in my room which was more than large enough.

Review 6:The location was quiet, peaceful with an atmosphere of serenity. The staff was very positive, smiling and friendly. I'll definitely be doing free advertisement for you guys ;-)

Review 7:A little bit pricey in the restaurants and not much choice but it is a small village.

Review 8:Great theme rooms. Good all round facilities. Great place for cyclists or for walking. Small village but really beautiful.

Review 9:beers not topped up apparently the dutch like a big head on theirs and one member of staff was astonished because we asked for a full glass ?. at the price of drinks its the least we would expect

Review 10:great ambience about the place inside or outside very comfy beds and very clean, food was good .

Review 11:No massive complaints but no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room and quite small. Room decor very dark a drab which didn't compliment the rest of the hotel

Review 12:Location, restaurant and surrounding area

Review 13:Really friendly and helpful staff. Our room was beautiful and kindly upgraded before we arrived. Such good value for money, we would've happily paid double for the excellent service! It was really easy to cycle and explore the towns nearby, just a fantastic mini holiday! Would definitely recommend!

Review 14:Nothing!

Review 15:Very friendly staff, great breakfast and meals, excellent value for money in a nice little village in Drenthe

Review 16:good location in nice village with plenty of resteraunts and cafes nearby

Review 17:The dreadful room . Room 17 Very dark , dingy , bed in essentially a cave and room made to look like a brewery complete with pipes all over ceiling . Other friends had mixed standards of rooms also.

Review 18:Nice breakfast , friendly staff

Review 19:No tea /coffee facilities in room but this is usual within europe so no big deal!

Review 20:We were made so welcome by David the hotel owner and every part of the hotel team are so helpful and pleasant, always greeting with a smile and every part of our experience was first class! We have already agreed to stay again next year for Assen superbikes! Our room was perfect and huge bed was really comfortable, hotel is 2 minutes walk from small shopping area.

Review 21:The room was very dark due to the colour scheme

Review 22:The staff were very helpful and understanding when I had made a mistake with my reservation. This got resolved easily and I was not charged to change last minute via email!

Review 23:Lit bébé payant annoncé gratuit sur booking. The baby bed is not freeand I was charged for it! . Dust under the bed, no extra towel forthe baby, no kettle in the room, no room to handle the wet towels inthe bathroom

Review 24:The large bed and the small terrace. No need to take breakfast (tooexpensive) due to a large choice of nearby bars and a supermarket.

Review 25:I had a very nice stay, the rooms are simple, bed was comfortable. The price was little higher as it was the MotoGP weekend so it was expected. Like the fact that the wi-fi was working everywhere with no problems :) Also the restaurant on side was very convenient.

Review 26:The room was a little smaller as expected. So a little expensive, although still reasonable. Also hallway is a lot of wood and no carpet so can be noisy. Still had a perfect sleep.

Review 27:Nice location and friendly staff. Facilities were OK.

Review 28:service

Review 29:Obviously a brewery "theme pub", but didn't detract from the accomodation/service quality.
