Reviews for B&B Villa Sogno Charme E Relax
Review 1:Convenient location to major highways and Selinunte, but need s car to go anywhere.
Review 2:Beautiful hotel and grounds, with inviting pool. Delicious breakfasts. Very helpful owners.
Review 3:That we only booked one night! If we had had any idea how wonderful it was, we'd have booked to stay for several days
Review 4:The hosts, Laurenzio and Cinzia, were truly welcoming and overwhelmingly hospitable. Cinzia's healthy but delicious cakes were such a treat. The property is set in a sensational garden and has a superb pool area. Everything is spotless and comfortable, and beautifully maintained . Breakfast was also plentiful, delicious and healthy.
Review 5:Delicious breakfast with plenty of fruit and homemade cakes. The house is set in beautiful gardens; plenty of chairs around the pool and in the shade. Nothing is too much trouble.
Review 6:At some point during breakfast one of the owners of the place made a very awkward and nasty comment that made me feel uncomfortable and ruined the first part of my day.
Review 7:We loved the place, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
Review 8:The owners are very cordial. In the rooms all is selected with meticulousness and good taste. The garden is superb and a good place for resting. The archaeological site of Selinunte is a throw stone away.
Review 9:Some technical issues with the aircon, but that might have been due to a power cut or our own incompetence.
Review 10:This is an outstanding house with a good pool and a lovely garden area with a gym. Alice is a wonderful hostess and her breakfasts are a model, offering homemade pastries, a selection of fresh fruit and much more.
Review 11:A bit of traffic noise in the garden at times.
Review 12:A very comfortable and stylish room in the garden. The garden is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained as is the pool. The breakfasts are just amazing!
Review 13:Fabulous accommodation, extremely friendly and helpful owners, beautiful home baked goods for breakfast. Situated in a quiet area about 4km from the village of Marinella di Selinunte.
Review 14:Nothing all good....some may think the bedrooms are over furnished, but they are all to a theme, we had the Arabian garden room, so comfortable and ideally located. Road noise again might annoy some people, but nothing that spoils the pluses of this place
Review 15:What a fine. Made to feel so welcome, beautiful pool, amazing gardens, breakfast to die for. Best fig jam I have ever eaten. Hosts so helpful and kind, difficult to leave.
Review 16:Nothing. This place was easy to find and had safe parking and very comfortable bed and big shower...often our "dislikes" when reviewing other places.
Review 17:We traveled in Sicily for 2 weeks, and this was by far the most luxurious of all our stays. Facilities are 5 star, and host/hostess wonderful and helpful for suggestions. We arrived exhausted and were upgraded to a little casita near the pool with delightful Tunisian style decor and canopy bed.
Review 18:Such a warm welcome from the hosts! What a fantastic couple! The place is clean, beautiful, and has a soul. You can feel the love the owners give to their place. You feel very welcome and almost part of the family when the owner serves you fresh home made organic yogurt and pastries. The pool is great for refreshment and the whole place is a small and wonderful oasis.
Review 19:It would be a good idea to include an optional lunch/dinner, as Selinunte is not the most happening place in Sicily.
Review 20:Facilities, hosts, breakfast, unique character of the room. We were luckily upgraded to the junior suite, which given the bad weather, was perfect to relax under the covered terrace. The hosts advised us some very nice places for dinner, and in general were very helpful.
Review 21:Everything was wonderful. Great and helpful hosts, lovely, yummy breakfast, comfortable room, great bed -- with the best shower in Italy I think! The grounds were beautiful too and so nice and relaxing by the pool. Too lazy to use the gym but it looked nice too. We had a really lovely stay. Thanks Cinzia and Lorenzo for everything!
Review 22:The bed was a little hard for us.
Review 23:The beautiful setting, luxuriously furnished guestrooms, ultra soft towels, bed linens and bathrobes spoiled us. Our hosts, Lorenzo and Cinzia were delightful and very helpful in providing recommendations and making reservations. We also like the delicious healthful and wholesome breakfast with home made yogurt and organic pastries, freshly squeezed seasonal fruit juice and delicious local ricotta cheese. Their staff keeps the garden well maintained and the room very clean.
Review 24:Nothing to say other than you need a car to get to restaurants, but you need one anyway to enjoy Sicily
Review 25:Cinzia and Lorenzo are perfect hosts. Breakfasts include local organic ingredients, home made preserves , yoghurt and cakes: Room was well appointed and comfortable: Good location for Selinunte Archaelogical site; Beautiful garden around pool, not overlooked , with lots of comfortable seating and shady places. Would thoroughly recommend.
Review 26:Recommend to All! Our stay was short but very nice, tasty breakfast, nice apartment and beautiful garden + wonderful Ayurvedic massages! We enjoyed our stay at Villa Sogno and would definitely come back in future.
Review 27:It only makes sense to stay here if you have a car.
Review 28:This B&B was very comfortable and clean, our your hosts are attentive and knowledgeable. It is just a short drive to Selinunte and Cave di Cusa, and the town of Marinella di Selinunte has a nice shoreline and some fun restaurants. Make sure to check out the view from the roof.
Review 29:Liked everything
Review 30:Spacious comfortable room, beautifully appointed, hospitable hosts went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Beautifully served delicious breakfast. Lovely landscaped surroundings and pool.
Review 31:A small thing but there wasn't any English TV channel.
Review 32:Wonderful owners who can't do enough for you. Restored italian villa with lots of atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful grounds with excellent pool area.
Review 33:There was a bit of traffic noise at times.
Review 34:The owners Cinzia and Lorenzo were most welcoming and attentive. The room that we were allocated in the beautiful garden was superb. The breakfast was probably the finest that I have eaten in a hotel abroad. The general ambience was most calm and restful. Its proximity to the archeological park at Selinunte was an added bonus.
Review 35:The only minor negative was a bit of road noise and having to drive to restaurants as there were none within walking distance.
Review 36:The lovely owners Cinzia and Lorenzo. The individually designed rooms, beautiful grounds and pool area and the delicious breakfasts.
Review 37:Really can't think of anything.
Review 38:Very welcoming staff and extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a suite near the pool. Room was very nice, decorated in a baroque style that was a bit unusual but it really worked. Very clean, well maintained, beautiful grounds, great pool, exercise area. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 39:Located close to the highway, far from the town and temples, difficult to find

Review 63:The owners and staff -- excellent people. The lovely garden. The small pool. The perfect breakfast.
Review 64:Everything
Review 65:Room a little small
Review 66:Home made food Warm welcome Beautiful garden and pool
Review 67:Our hosts had what seemed like a long introduction to the property's quirks and rules which involved learning how to insert the key properly.
Review 68:Away from the hustle and bustle of tourist centers, this location invites peace and quiet that arrives slowly if you give it time.
Review 69:Some traffic noise at the front, although it didn't wake us. I would book a side/garden room next time.
Review 70:Cinzia and Lorenzo are wonderful hosts-nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts were fantastic, and you can take away what you can't eat! Immaculate rooms, garden and pool. Close to the archaeological park at Selinunte.
Review 71:I'm thinking, i'm thinking....Everything was tremendous.
Review 72:Fly, don't run, don't take a train, don't drive to Villa Sogno. This is truly an oasis while visiting Selinunte, Segesta or any other nearby Sicilian attractions. When entering their property you are whisked into a garden/relaxation atmosphere that is totally matched by the great rooms that are available. On top of everything else the breakfasts are flat out the best you will ever come across. For me, they also included special baked goods for one with celiac.
Review 73:We wish dinner was also available in the location. That would have further added to the charm and relaxing evening.
Review 74:The landscape is excellent. Both Cinzia and Lorenzo proved to be outstanding hosts and guides. It was one of the best places we ever stayed. We recommend it to all our friends.
Review 75:There is not one thing I did not like at Villa Sogno.
Review 76:At this B&B we are treated like loyalty. We arrived very late, but they were waiting to greet us. We had a room in the annex that was large and comfortable. The view of the gardens is so relaxing and it is very quiet. The breakfast Cinisi serves is 5 star. Everything is made fresh. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. The shower has plenty of pressure and hot water. This is definitely 5 star quality. I highly recommend this for a great visit to Selinunte area. Both Cinisi and Lorenzo are great host, always with a smile and many languages spoken.
Review 77:It was truly excellent from checking in to checking out. Superb value for money . Good WIFI, excellent breakfast, everything homemade by perfect host Cinzia. All was excellent. Very, very clean . The best accommodation of our 12 day trip in Sicily. Extremely kind. Definitely recommend !
Review 78:Extremely friendly Hosts, excellent recommendations for trips in the area, beautiful rooms and Garden, wonderful breakfast! Many thanks to Cinzia and Lorenzo!
Review 79:I would have liked to be able to go on walks from the hotel and visit restaurants on foot, but that's because I'm a city-dweller who is not used to the rural experience of roads without pavements and driving everywhere!
Review 80:Cinzia and Lorenzo were absolutely lovely and made us feel extremely well looked after - Lorenzo helped with directions and Cinzia with recommendations and reservations for restaurants - she also cooked different cakes and pastries for us every day and when we were too full to finish them, wrapped them for us to take for lunch. The house itself is decorated like a mini-Versailles, and the garden is beautiful. This is a very special place. You have to have a car, but there are excellent restaurants just a short drive away. Selinunte classical site was also extremely close by.
Review 81:Nothing, this is one of the nicest Bed and Breakfasts I've stayed at in my decades of traveling.
Review 82:Absolutely everything. The owners, the food, the location, the Bed and Breakfast rooms
Review 83:Antonella looked after us very well. The room was lovely- it was quite chilly at night when we were there and Antonella had put the heating on when we arrived.
Review 84:Lack of good lighting Lack of desk and associated chair Lack of something warm for breakfast
Review 85:Generally this property is good to excellent all-round. The complaints are minor.
Review 86:The whole house is extremely beautifully renovated and decorated. A beautiful garden and view from the rooms. The location is great and it's very near to the main attractions like Selinunte and the sea. Great breakfast and very helpful owners and a good restaurant nearby. Highly recommented.
Review 87:By far the best accommodation of our 8-day trip in Sicily!! + Extremely kind, dedicated and professional staff. You feel really like a guest. They will do their best for you! + Nice location near Selinunte, very quiet, nice view on beautiful garden. + Gorgeous breakfast with homemade stuff, bio products etc: delicious! + Comfortable room, luxurious bathroom, ****-level
Review 88:no complaints at all!
Review 89:The host and hostess were delightful and attentive. The accommodations were wonderful and the grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was perfect and the hostess sent our brownies and pies with us for lunch each day.
Review 90:Nothing to dislike.
Review 91:Beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated building with top quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely gardens and swimming pool area, even a fully equipped gym. Friendly and engaging staff but best of all the fantastic breakfast.
Review 92:If I had to mention one thing negative about the hotel. Then it would have to be that you need a car to get there, but then again so do you every were else in Sicily
Review 93:The owners were so warm and welcoming it was amazing. They helped us with everything from recommending restaurants to helping us fix a flat tyre, on our rental car. The pool area and surrounding garden was so nice and quiet it was impossible not to relax completely
Review 94:Very nice and relaxing place, a very good swimming pool area, beautiful garden, room was superb, and the host was helpful. Definitly a very good place.
Review 95:This is a beautiful hotel with careful attention to every detail to make the guest feel welcome and special. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated with clean linen/towels. Even the pool towels are replaced each day. Nothing was too much trouble for our host and hostess. They recommended restaurants, booked them for us and helped with accommodation for our son who came to stay. Breakfast is traditional, home made and organic, with choices of delicious pastries and cakes each day. We stayed for 11 mornings and the choice of pastries was different each day. You need a car to get around, but may not want to leave this tranquil place.
Review 96:Villa Sogno and its grounds form a verdant oasis in this fascinating'wild west' corner of Sicily. Cinzia and Lorenzo have taken theconcept of B&B to a new level combining friendly warmth andefficiency with attention to detail. Cinzia's welcoming breakfastsare healthy and home produced. The well maintained pool and gardens arerelaxing and luxurious. The decoration of the villa is personal andeclectic with Sicilian ceramics enhancing an Arabic feel. Theirfriendly and helpful advice with the knowledge of the area makes for aperfect stay.
Review 97:Nothing!
Review 98:Superb accommodation for a B & B. Excellent breakfast. Amazing pool and gardens. Whole place spotless and very well maintained. Charing hosts.
Review 99:The breakfast was so nice, that it was hard to resist so I gained weight after my holiday.
Review 100:The room (junior suite) was beautiful en nicely situated in the beautiful garden. The garden was very green with flowers and palm trees en private corners and a hammock to relax. The breakfast was excellent with homemade yoghurt and pastries, fresh fruits and fresh orangejuice, and other very nice things. The location was good, 5 min by car to the beach and the archeological site of Selinunte. The owners are very friendly.
Review 101:The best experience of our entire Sicilian vacation! Our Host and Hostess were extraordinary. The breakfasts were terrific with home made with organic breads and pastries. Our spotless suite was beautiful with a Moroccan flair and a super comfortable canopy bed. All in all a must for visitors to Selinunte's Greek archeological site.
Review 102:There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.
Review 103:This B&B is perfect, friendly hosts Lorenzo and Cynthia(?),beautiful garden, pool & fitness room, marvelous breakfast withorganic and homemade delights (included in rate, despite what theBooking.com listing said). The house itself is wonderful too, butthere's no pretension or snobbishness, just genuine warmth. As wellas being very convenient for visiting the Greek site at Selinunte, thiswould be a perfect base for a few days relaxation in luxury.
Review 104:A few kilometers from the coast and rather close to the road, but noproblem if you have a car - and the rooms are very well soundproofed.
Review 105:Charming hosts, excellent breakfast with personal touch, good equipedand romantic decorated rooms
Review 106:I prefer a somewhat simpler decor, bit this is VERY minor. Great spot.
Review 107:Our hosts were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food -most of it homemade -was delicious. They directed us to two excellent restaurants for dinner.
Review 108:Wifi didn't work in our room, athough it worked in other areas ofthe villa.
Review 109:Firstly what a grand entrance! Electric gates and palm tree lined driveleading up to a villa with beautiful architecture. The owners Cinzia and Lorenzo were incredibly welcoming and immeasurably helpful over and above what would be expected from hoteliers. They have transformed this beautiful villa in the last 8 years from dereliction into a unique and unforgettable place to stay. The gardens are incredibly well manicured, there are secret little corners, a hammock, pool and gym and has been tastefully planted. Cinzia and Lorenzo welcomed us with juice and home made cake; heated up the room, met us personally at the door and did everything possible to make us feel really comfortable during our stay. Above all Lorenzo showed what Sicilian kindness is all about, we had lost our passports and Lorenzo made all the necessary calls to the police and then told us to go out and enjoy dinner and he would take us to the police station in the morning to get a certificate 'denuncia' to allow us to make our flight from Trapani that day. After finding out the police station had moved, he flagged down a police car who then escorted us to the police station, he also came in and explained our situation to the desk clerk. For all this I am eternally grateful. Going back to the villa, our themed room was spotlessly clean. We were recommendation a good local restaurant called Boomerang Bar which was another gem! In the morning we enjoyed a rich and delicious breakfast prepared entirely by the hosts, including home made yoghurt and cakes. We would highly recommend Villa Sogno to visitors to Selinunte and the surrounding areas of Mazara del Valli, Marsala even Trapani as this is only around 45 minutes away. Cinzia and Lorenzo made us feel really special and I wish them the very best for the future.
Review 110:The beautiful and very well kept garden with comfortable seats around the pool the quiteness of the accomodation and the excellent quality of the breakfast
Review 111:nothing to dislike
Review 112:the whole experiance was wonderful. Greeted with a drink, beautiful rooms and surroundings. All homemade food for breakfast. Attention to detail is first class.
Review 113:Nothing really to share. We had a bit of a hard time to find the villa since it's easy to miss, but aside of that, nothing to complain about.
Review 114:Owners were great: they made sure we feel comfortable (emailed in advance to warm up the room, met us at the door, we enjoyed chatting with them informally, took pictures in the the beautiful yard etc). If we travel to Selinunte, we'd stay with them again!
Review 115:amazing treatment of the owners, home made food for breakfast, beautiful and relaxing garden
Review 116:The best ever !
Review 117:Lovely personal service.(delicious breakfast with specially made gluten free baking for me!) Beautifully created gardens.
Review 118:The weather!!
