Reviews for Il Cuore Di Dioniso Dimora D'Epoca

Review 1:An elderly gentleman was the only person in charge when we got there, perhaps because it was a Sunday. He was not very nice kept complaining that we should have booked directly from them and not thru Booking.com. Came in the room with us and repeatedly asked us NOT to put our suitcases on the bed!

Review 2:Comfortable, easy to find location, great breakfast

Review 3:Charming property with a friendly staff who attended to our every request. Very clean and a lovely breakfast area. Would suggest putting chairs to read in outside in the back and improving quality of morning coffee. A short drive to the beach and archaeological park.

Review 4:wonderful road side hacienda like inn with incredible gastronomic sicilian kitchen. spare but stylish decor, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food.

Review 5:Limited activities at the location.

Review 6:Located in an olive groves with unique ambiance. The restaurant was served excellent Italian cuisine. Breakfast served in the farmhouse kitchen gives visitors a flavor of the local way of life.

Review 7:Excellent value for money. It looks great and has all the comfort we required. It also has a good restaurant in the hotel itself. Beautiful beach at 2 min drive right next to the greek ruines.

Review 8:The location is excellent for visiting the archaeological park at Selinunte. We appreciated how welcoming the staff was and all of their helpful tips for getting the most out of our stay in the area. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and have a spa-like feel.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Excellent property, staff were really friendly and helpful. Didnt eat at the restaurant but it looked great. Room, parking, close to beach and temples, couldnt ask for more. Good on them. Italian owner was funny.

Review 11:Unless you know what this means, you'll never find the place, even our GPS had trouble. This is the address S.S. 115/Dir Km.5+552.80. Head for the Temples and watch out for the big sign

Review 12:Truly a gem of a place. We had a spacious room with a lovely little balcony overlooking the fields and in the distance the Temples. We chose to eat in the restaurant and took the 33 euro set menu, so glad we did. It was probably the treat of the holiday. We changed the white wine that was included for red without too much bother. Breakfast was typical Sicilian fair, bread, pretty but uninteresting cake etc - all I craved was real orange juice and an egg. Next time maybe.

Review 13:The restaurant evening meals and breakfast could better reflect the setting. The service ,however, was excellent. A bar would have been welcome too.

Review 14:Tastefully furnished, spacious rooms ,lovely but under developed court yard, very helpful staff.

Review 15:The temperature of the room was quite hot as it was centrally managed . A fan or cooler setting would have made the stay more comfortable. My husband and I did have trouble sleeping in the humid temperature.

Review 16:Friendly staff, wonderful restaurant

Review 17:The breakfast was quite poor, and the road was close and quite busy.

Review 18:The room, the atmosphere, the location (view of sea and temples), the tasting menu in the restaurant (amazing value).

Review 19:Nothing.

Review 20:Surrounded by olive trees, this B&B is so unexpected, just beside the Selinunte temple site. Room was beautiful and spacious in traditional style with immaculate Tuscan white bedspreads. Breakfast was to die for! Would make a peaceful holiday retreat.

Review 21:Marvellous old villa with large spacious rooms tastefully furnished staff who were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. Great experience of elegant living of the earlier times

Review 22:Easily found, parking on site, five minute drive to the ruins at Selinunte, sun-drenched site, and charming, knowledgeable staff. Can't go wrong.

Review 23:Very high quality all round, incredible value for money! Beautiful old farm updated with the greatest of taste; simple, spacious and stylish. Elegantly decorated room with a view over olive groves to a temple and the sea. Staff extremely professional yet warm, personable and humorous. Excellent buffet breakfast in a lovely traditional kitchen. We ate the tasting menu, sumptuous, excellent, amazing value, served by attentive staff. On-site parking. Very easy access to the archaeological site.

Review 24:The Building has been tastefully renovated, furniture and Fittings are in style, no unneccessary Decorations . Our Host was very friendly and knowledgeable and pointed us to interesting Sights.

Review 25:Staff were very helpful in providing historical and cultural information, suggesting "must see" places, and a fabulous restaurant by the sea.

Review 26:Inability to adjust air conditioning got very stuffy during the night. No insect screens on windows - can't open for fresh air without risking mosquitos entering. Iron bars at end of bed - a nuisance for tall people No in-room fridge but able to use one in the hotel.

Review 27:Helpful staff but only one speaks English Cleanliness Nice views Reasonable breakfast Quiet location Easy to find

Review 28:Absolutely nothing!

Review 29:Location. Great staff. Beautifully refurbished old property. Very quiet. Overlooks olive groves. Excellent breakfast. FANTASTIC evening meal, the best we had in all of Sicily!

Review 30:With nothing nearby we ate at the restaurant in the hotel; it was good, but nothing fancy.

Review 31:The building was charming. Charming courtyard for a pre-dinner drink. The atmosphere was of an old villa. The rooms was large and clean.

Review 32:Beautiful restored old farm property. Managed and run to a very high standard, rooms are huge with every mod con. Just a perfect stay by any world standard! Dont miss the experience.

Review 33:Wonderful historic building, enormous, comfortable room. Very helpful staff. The restaurant provided a great selection of Sicilian cuisine. Half a mile from the beach of Marinella and the temple complex of Selinunte

Review 34:Very noisy from the next rooms - especially toilet flush is very loud and could be heard through the walls.

Review 35:Nice location, spacious and nice decorated rooms. Nice but quite expensive food in the restaurant (60 euro for a main and desert with a glass of wine for 2 pax)

Review 36:The breakfast was really mediocre and certainly if that was indicative of food served in the restaurant for dinner - you would not go.

Review 37:The aesthetic - comfort ,space and location. Beautiful and a great start to our 2 week holiday in the region

Review 38:The hotel is slightly out of town, so you have to drive to the archeological site, the beaches, and the town of Marinelli. But they are short drives and there was plenty of parking wherever we went. And because its slightly out of town, its fairly quiet and relaxing. Not necessarily a negative. Depends what you're looking for.

Review 39:Simple, uncluttered, and elegant design with beautiful tile floors, white walls, and antique wood furniture. Our room had a large balcony window overlooking an olive grove, with the temples of Selinunte visible in the distance. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Very clean and well maintained. Relaxing courtyard. Excellent breakfast with many choices. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 58:Wireless spotty

Review 59:Very nice people

Review 60:Very helpful and friendly staff

Review 61:Breakfast was lack of choice, not even have an egg. Coffee was the worst ever one. Wardrobe was smelly and dusty. Too many mosquitoes.

Review 62:Style of the house.

Review 63:I would have preferred a room with a window at eye level, but it was not a problem. A bar and sitting area in the courtyard would have been an added bonus.

Review 64:The rooms furnished in antique style and set around a courtyard were excellent. Ours was enormous and so was the lovely bathroom. The breakfast was excellent everything was fresh and homemade. We were sorry that we had not been hungry the previous night to try the restaurant.

Review 65:Really nice place. Very welcoming and great staff. Lovely breakfast. Great location to the Temples in Saliunte. Nice beach and front in Marinella. Great places to eat! Would highly recommend.

Review 66:Nothing!

Review 67:Loved the reception, both staff and room. When they gave us a ceramic bottle of water "old style, works by evaporation to keep the water cold", I knew we had landed somewhere "real". This was quite a find, and perhaps 2 kilometers from the ruins at Agrigento. The recommended restaurant, las pinetas, rounded out a perfect stay.

Review 68:Without car or bike you might feel stuck. No real action in walking distance.

Review 69:Great bed, good AC. Relaxing surounding. Great young kid (staff) with great english. Beutyfull decorated, castle-like. Rental car needed, then you have great access to the adorable town called Marinella, with beach and great resturants.

Review 70:No small fridge to keep drinks or food. Internet did not work well, although it is free to guests.

Review 71:Excellent property with very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere consistent with the location. Great location near beach, ocean, mountains, and plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. Nice restaurant on site with beautiful local produce, the breakfast is also very good.

Review 72:Be warned that you need a car for this place (only 2 km from the beachand ruins of Selinunte, however). Restaurant had not yet opened forseason when we were there (July 15).

Review 73:Massimiliano is a fantastic host who is super helpful, speaks Englishwell, and laughs a lot. He will go out of his way to improve your stay.Very peaceful setting amid an olive grove. Great breakfast served in animpressive room with vaulted ceiling every A.M.

Review 74:Nothing to dislike.

Review 75:Really nice place, reception staff very pleasant, very comfortable, airy room, short drive to Selinunte and good restaurants at Marinella. Lots of birdsong and enjoyed watching the flock of sheep in the evening!

Review 76:Noisy rooms. No dining possibilities, but the town is close.

Review 77:Nice renovated castle farm. Close to the archeological site of Selinunte. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with pastry and marmalades made by the owners wife.
