Reviews for Eureka Stockade Holiday Park
Review 1:our cabin porch had cobwebs all over it and with a 4 year old I removed them bed head in master room dusty along with the bathroom behind the door was dusty then under the couch there was paper wrapper purple large not sure how that was missed. As a fellow housekeeping team Supervisor for motels its these things I noticed straight up.
Review 2:The staff in office were great, pool was awesome quiet park and met some lovely people relaxing
Review 3:The use of the Eureka public pool next door as part of the cost of accommodation was great. Our kids loved playing in the pool and we enjoyed a swim as well.
Review 4:The only complaint would be that the bunk beds in the cabin that we were in were quite small. I had adult children with me and they found the beds too short.
Review 5:I found the park close to my family that we were visiting. Also having the access to the local pool and putt putt, we didn't have time to use them but a great idea.
Review 6:The Wifi only worked for a few seconds. The small tv in kitchen was in a position where it was difficult to see all the screen, but the picture was excellent.
Review 7:Clean looking cabin, comfortable beds, car parking right outside cabin, easy access to city centre, etc. Shower water flow strong but a little intermittent.
Review 8:Not a dislike- just more be aware - larger supermarkets are in town and need to drive there.
Review 9:We had an after hours arrival, and the staff contacted me personally the day prior, to explain the process of key collection. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 10:Incredibly clean. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Air con worked well. Blinds worked. Hot water in shower was beautiful. Good size fridge - not a mini fridge. Thought it might be noisy being right next to the entrance, but it wasn't.
Review 11:Kids were not happy no pool and the mini golf was not maintained. Also no pool table not much in kids room to do. We were in the cabin next to managers house and dogs barking also could not get car out properly due to ute being parked there
Review 12:It was like living in an icebox and no doona! Dated appliances (old fashioned cooker, tiny TV), small hard bed, no heater in bathroom, mold above shower.
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:mini golf closed in caravan park, playground small ,games room closed , accomadation small
Review 15:close to kryal castle, sovereign hill, mini golf ,restaurants
Review 16:We loved our stay. The cabin much bigger compared to the pics, it was very clean and very clean and generous supply of towels, blankets, sheets and extra blankets as it can get cold. The main bedroom even had a walk in robe.
Review 17:Described as a 2 bedroom cottage but was very small and pokey. No lounge or comfy chair to sit on to watch TV and the room is too small to fit one.
Review 18:Comfortable, clean and quiet. Budget accommodation at a budget price. Cabin 1.
Review 19:Was disappointed to find the games room was completely empty due to renovations, to have been let know would have been good
Review 20:Very comfortable. Practical
Review 21:Internet was not working. We had booked this place in order to access internet. Heating system & lack of insulation not sufficient for the extremely cold temperatures of Ballarat. Ok at other times though.
Review 22:Location.
Review 23:Few things need a little attention eg. Mini golf course, but did notice games room was being upgraded as this was unavailable at the time of stay
Review 24:Location was to Central Ballarat and tourist attractions, warm family friendly
Review 25:Cabin was divided into a two bedroom unit but at the expense of adequate living space. e.g. no couch, no lounge space, so that a family of four had to take turns to move around the available kitchen area. The website picture did not indicate this.
Review 26:The bathroom and cooking facilities were very good.
Review 27:It was nice and close to everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was great value for money. Would definitely go back.
Review 28:I booked a 2 br cottage but was disappointed when I arrived. I think budget cabin would have been a better description. No living area in cabin but to be fair this was pointed out on their website but I didn't do my checking well enough and wouldn't have booked this if I had realised. You get what you pay for here at $85 for the night sleeps up to 5 good value for some. My main gripe was the toilet which was so close to the wall you couldn't sit on it straight. This was an older style cabin and maybe the newer ones in the park are better?
Review 29:Location good and helpful staff.
Review 30:Couldn't access Wifi, possibly better if stayed closer to office...I was furthest away
Review 31:Staff were helpful with directions. Cabin did contain all you would need
Review 32:Electric blanket not working on one side of the double bed - annoying when one is accustomed to using the whole of the bed. Reading lamp switch not working on one side of the double bed - less annoying. Mattress on the hard side!
Review 33:Spacious layout of cabin. Good table and chairs Good settee
Review 34:Bed wasn't comfortable and no spare blankets as it got very cold at night.
Review 35:Location, units were spacious and light, good facilities free access to the pool next door.
Review 36:Could only obtain wifi at the park reception area. None available at all in cabin 1.
Review 37:Two bedroom cabin was excellent, with great cooking facilities and veranda for al fresco dining. Close to ballarat city and Sovereign hill.
Review 38:The beds were not particularly comfortable. Besides this the stay was great.
Review 39:Staff were friendly & very helpful. A lovely park with plenty to keep the kids occupied.
Review 40:Shower floor very slippery, but staff happy to look at remedying the problem.
Review 41:Helpful staff. Close to everything. Swimming pool next door plus free use. Mini golf.
Review 42:The staff and cabin were welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cabin had electric blankets and a heated shower for the cold night. The location was great-close to Sovereign Hill and the town centre of Ballarat and the taxis were cheap.
Review 43:There was nothing I could say I didnt like
Review 44:I thought location was good and easy to find way round. The accommodation was clean neat and tidy and staff very helpful.
Review 45:Cabin was comfortable, clean and suitable for our family Staff very accommodating for late check in and check out and use of facilities. Good location, suited us well.
Review 46:We chose a park based on facilities and activities as the weather was meant to be bad and we had 3 kids to entertain. Luckily for us the weather was great and we weren't confined to the lacking park. The games room was the size of a small bedroom and consisted of a TV and a pool table that you have to pay for. The mini golf was an overgrown slopey patch of grass in the pool reserve. No fun or creativity, just holes in the ground. The 'heated pool' was actually the town pool and only connects to the park via a side gate that you need special access to and is only open after November. The laundry and washing facilities were from the stone age. The machines and drier were coin operated and in horrid condition. We also had to buy pegs from reception at 5 dollars a bag. There are public toilets in the middle of the park that are locked at all times, not great with kids and a disabled adult as we had to walk up a hill to the front of the park to ask for a key and then be told no because our room has a toilet. Apparently they're locked so people off the street can't use them, in the four days we were there we saw no people walking outside or any where near the park.Of the two cabins we booked, neither were overly fantastic. In the first which was advertised to hold up to 8 adults, we were climbing over each other with 4 adults and 2 children. The beds all sunk in the middle and mattresses as thick as 2 ply. Even the kids complained about their bunk room which the beds were at least a foot shorter than a single bed and you could feel the metal bars through the bottom. The second adult bed was a sofa in the living area which to use we had to move the dining table and then couldn't use the fridge when the bed was out.The second cabin was OK except for the toilet which was positioned side on about a mm from the wall, anyone bigger than a child had to sit on it sideways.
Review 47:Location was fantastic! For everything we wanted to do - Sovereign Hill, museum, wildlife park and township, we were right in the middle.
Review 48:Main bed was very hard, together with noise, sleep was poor. Bathroom was awkward to use due to the placement of the door opening into the room (sliding door would hugely improve functionality). Bathroom a little run down & worn.
Review 49:Clean, very well equipped kitchen for cooking family meals, playground was convenient. Electric blankets & sufficient heating. Decent sized shower with good pressure. Convenient location for attractions / shopping.
Review 50:Laundry facility closed at 7.30pm - bit early not allowing for families with kids to get laundry done.
Review 51:Staff extremely helpful - when realising one of the beds had no linen it was made straight away.
Review 52:Weak wifi. No heating in bedroom or bathroom. Pretty expensive for a 'cabin' in a caravan park.
Review 53:New clean linen. Self catering and well equipped. Good receptionist.
Review 54:A quiet park that wasn't too busy.
Review 55:Friendly staff and secure location
