Reviews for Hotel de Wereld

Review 1:Don't have a reception. Breakfast is good but I prefer buffet breakfast than the waiter bring you things on the table.

Review 2:The room are very big. Especially if you have a child

Review 3:The overall experience was very good. Our room ( the suite ) was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Quiet location despite being very close to the town centre.

Review 4:Street noise from partiers on the street.

Review 5:The staff were fantastic. The bed comfy and the room was clean and neat. Breakfast was a feast with great coffee.

Review 6:All my family stayed the night before my wedding in the hotel. We all arrived in different times, had different needs and the staff was absolutely helpful with everything!

Review 7:The room was very clean with modern decor and large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and included plenty of fresh fruit salad and a good selection of warm bread.

Review 8:The tv was very small. They did not have adaptors for electric sockets. There was a socket on the floor in the middle of the room which Can make the room un safe particularly for young kids. The windows can also improve.

Review 9:The bedding was very clean soft and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were professional and very helpful.

Review 10:No bad experience at all - if I would make any minor suggestion at all it would be to vary the breakfast options just a little - especially if someone is staying there a week or so as I did.

Review 11:The staff were very good - treated me like part of the family, went along with my attempts to speak Dutch and made sure the stay was the best it could be. Dinners were excellent!!!

Review 12:The WiFi did not give any internet connection most of the second day of my stay.

Review 13:The restaurant is amazing ! Serving a delicious breakfast and diner in the evening is over the top.

Review 14:Limited facilities on Sunday - that said they recommended a good restaurent!

Review 15:The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful yet professional. The restaurent dinners equally so - fully deserving grading

Review 16:there isn't anything we didn't like, but if had to be nit picky tissues in the bathroom would have been welcome.

Review 17:excellent location, 3 mins from the bus station and in the city centre. Staff all young and eager to please, professional and friendly, and time to chat. Breakfast was substantial, rooms really clean and stylish (we were upgraded to a suite), open plan reception/kitchen which was quirky but interesting. O Mundo restaurant brilliant worth every penny and more. Would definitely return, in fact can't wait to return!

Review 18:Bad service at the bar/restaurant Floor in the room was dirty

Review 19:Nice facilities, spacious rooms

Review 20:The restaurant was more than excellent, and the staff extremely friendly and service minded

Review 21:Will be better if there's more channels provided in TV and probably bigger TV than the one in the room.

Review 22:Staffs are very kind.

Review 23:Facilities provided for the money paid are very good. Real value for money.

Review 24:The room was smelly.

Review 25:Great location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Palatial rooms; my room had a bath and two separate showers! Generous breakfast.

Review 30:the coffee machine in the room and the orange juice at breakfast were great

Review 31:nothing

Review 32:freindly staff

Review 33:Bathroom does not have floor heating, so itæs a bit cold!

Review 34:Noise from outside and inside the hotel. Very poor internet connection.

Review 35:Spacious room Amazing free of charge coffee machine

Review 36:Friendly staff, very good breakfast, spacious rooms with good facilities. Easy walking distance to a variety of good resurants.

Review 37:Needed car to reach other towns Limited Taxi's (Not Hotels Fault)

Review 38:The Town The Hotel

Review 39:the hotel is relatively expensive

Review 40:rooms are nice, clean, coffee machine in the room

Review 41:Nice room and bathroom, both very big. I was only there for one night and didn't have any food or breakfast but my short stay was wonderful.

Review 42:Friendly staff, clean rooms that were tastefully decorated, good looking location to town centre and eating places. Must try Mundo restaurant! Superb cuisine in a nice classy ambience.

Review 43:This hotel experience was a very positive surprise! First of all its just very nice and comfortable and high quality. Second of all, the service is amazing and people are really nice. I arrived late at night and got lost in the city and someone from the hotel walked my direction to come and pick me up in the middle of the night (after midnight). The enxt morning I had to take a cab and it was stuck in traffic jam but I had an important appointment and somebody from the hotel drove me to the conference venu with her own private car. I have actually never experienced something like this and I travel a lot. The rooms are all different but very nice and modern and spacious. The bathroom was top class. I stayed in room 14. There was some strange regular noise during the night coming from somewhere in- or outside of the room which I could not tell where it was coming from (the heating or ventilation?) but maybe that can be fixed. Breakfast was very good too. All in all this has been an excellent hotel experience and I am glad I did not stay in the more mainstream and bigger conference hotel in Wageningen which I later heard was just a ordinary big hotel, whereas this one was special.

Review 44:the food was sublime, definitely not to be missed if you like this type of food, michelin star, small portions but amazing, not for you if you want big portions though. Very large bedroom with a bean to cup coffee machine!

Review 45:I was in Wageningen on business at the nearby MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), and the Hotel de Wereld is within a lovely 15 minute walk of MARIN. The location was quiet, but still central within Wageningen. The breakfast was fantastic! Having an automatic espresso machine in the room was a lovely bonus as well. The guest rooms and bathrooms have a modern feel. Overall, the experience at the Hotel de Wereld was very good, and I would recommend it to anyone passing through or staying in Wageningen.

Review 46:TV too small. Lack of replenishment of tea bags and tissues. Wi-Fi signal strength fluctuates in room.

Review 47:central location - to town and bus station. modern. comfortable. Friendly staff. good coffee from machine in room.

Review 48:I was in the hotel only once before. The staff even remembered me. I was enthusiastic on my first visit, I still am. The hotel is ... refined, rather then luxuriant, with a sober, sophisticated elegance. I'm still missing the restaurant - it was the day off in both cases. Finally, knowing that WW2 ended here adds an unquestionable tingle to the experience.

Review 49:The central location of the hotel is awesome. Everything is within walking distance. Restaurant El Mundo is incredible. Seldomnly eaten such gut food. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would love to stay again.

Review 50:Each room is very different, and some have unique problems. I could not figure out how to take a shower without getting the floor soaked in room 101. And the wifi would not reach my room, although it was free which is great.

Review 51:Fantastic staff, great history, neat room design.

Review 52:Use of the shower resulted in a minor flood in the bathroom. Breakfastwas convenient and nice, but quite pricey.

Review 53:Located on the edge of the historic district with its shops andrestaurants. Site of the historic surrender of the Division of theGerman Army occupying The Netherlands toward the end of wwii.

Review 54:I looked under the bed on the last day of my stay and it had huge dust balls. Eggs for breakfast are only available soft-boiled. The reception is not immediately visible as one enters and it is only a table in front of the kitchen.

Review 55:Most posh hotel in Wageningen. Historically interesting.

Review 56:Difficult initially to identify the reception desk. It appeared to be part of the restaurant.

Review 57:Location was very convenient. Free parking at the hotel. Rooms were very well appointed. Staff was friendly.

Review 58:The location (close by the Openlucht Museum, Arnhem and the NationalParc de Hooghe Veluwe with the Kroller Muller Museum) and of course thefact that the capitulation treaty wwii was signed in this hotel.Wageningen is a very lively and interesting town with many, many barsand bistros and some very good restaurants. The restaurant in Hotel deWerels has 1 Michelin star!

Review 59:One thing I didn't like is the kitchen location next to the reception . Curtains or glass should separate the kitchen view from the reception desk.

Review 60:I liked the ambiance , the location the dining room and liked also the breakfast especially the bread. Un hotel de campagne cute and cozy.If I visit Wageningen once more I would definitely choose again Hotel deWereld and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area .

Review 61:One heater did not operate. We additionaly asked for a pair of slippersand dressing gowns at the end of our first day as they did not provideus with them. The batherings were provided only for one person. The(moderate) breakfast which was served per person might be more plentifulconsidering the price and the rank (4 star) of the hotel.Though itshould be noted that the quality of the food was very good. The tv wasvery small.

Review 62:Very cozy place in the old and central location in Wageningen. Rooms arespacious enough with all facillities meeting to 4-star hotel. I likebathroom with separate bath and shower cabin. The beds are verycomfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Three sets of towels wereregularly changed for new ones. There was a very nice window in thebathroom looking to the church. The restaurant was very cute with warmatmosphere.

Review 63:Unfortunately, the famous restaurant was closed on the very eveningof my stay.

Review 64:The atmosphere. Everything is clean, simple, elegant. I rarely, if ever, experienced such a feeling in an hotel. Nothing is outstanding (in thesense of 'showy'); everything is perfect. Finally, knowing thathistorical events took place right there where you have your breakfastis ... quite nice.
