Reviews for Hotel San Marco
Review 1:Lift is from first floor . You have to carry your luggage by stairs to first floor than take the lift . Breakfast very poor .
Review 2:I like the location just opposit the train station .
Review 3:Vegan so no rice milk for some cereals, and not a lot to eat. But in saying that for non vegan lots of choice.
Review 4:it was so convenient to the train station i just had to cross the road. You could also walk into the city.
Review 5:Room was always too hot, although I left jaolouses down - apparently it gets lots of sunshine and I was beneath the roof. It's a little bit noisy both from outside and also from nearby rooms (apparently walls are very thin as I have heard a snoring :) ) furniture was very minimalistic, but handful.
Review 6:Excellent location. Just 50 m from the Railway station. The lady which was on duty when I arrived, was very helpful and welcoming (she let me in the room before it was cleaned to allow changing clothes), which was not the same with the other one. The breakfast was very good for Italy (not only sweet cakes and jams, but some cheese, salami, ham, fruits and cereals!)
Review 7:Careful attention to detail. Beautiful décor, comfortable room, just opposite the station, but no noise. Friendly breakfast staff and a good and varied breakfast.
Review 8:Pleasant note, very clean & convenient. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 22:Convenience of hotel on arrival at station; friendly, helpful staff; good breakfast; near shops & restaurants.
Review 23:The older man who made us wait to hand in or pick up keys... without a word or a smile. The overripe fruit at breakfast.
Review 24:Laura at the desk! The proximity to Reggio Children. The coffee!!
Review 25:The neighborhood was a trifle seedy, but I never needed to come back alone at night. When I arrived I was exhausted after traveling for 24 hours, and felt that someone should have given me some assistance on getting my 40 pound suitcase up the flight of stairs to the elevator. There was no physical assistance in any way, at any time, coming or going.
Review 26:Staff was friendly and helpful, but wasn't intrusive. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location next to the train station made it easy for me traveling solo to make my way. It was very quiet, even being near the train station, and there was very little noise at night.
Review 27:We were ask to pay in full on arrival. We asked to see the room we were getting before paying, we were told we did not need to see it, that it was the best room in the hotel and if there was a problem with it we could change rooms. After paying, there was a problem, the in room safe did not work, we were told we could not change rooms. At 9.15am when we went down for breakfast there was just empty bowls, we had a coffee then went else where for breakfast. Most of the staff seemed to be unhappy to be working there.
Review 28:They had an electronically locked door unlocked from the reception desk. We were worried when going out to dinner that we might have a problem getting back in. However after five or six buzzes the receptionist appeared and unlocked the door.
Review 29:Poor breakfast buffet for us being Swedes. No alternatives for thoseintolerant to gluten.

Review 33:Friendly staff, very nice hotel decor, large bedroom, modern bathroom facilities, good selection of breakfast food with a nice lady to talk to.
Review 34:The area was very close to the train station and I wouldn't feel comfortable walking in the area late in night.
Review 35:The receptionist went out of her way to phone the Ferrari museum to see if it had been affected by recent earthquakes, which it wasn't. She also gave recommendations for restaurants and was very attentive. The room was comfortable.
