Reviews for Nol in 't Bosch

Review 1:A little bit hard with some of their staff to communicate in English. But they still try to help.

Review 2:It is a very beautiful experience to live in the heart of a forest park and the hotel is also very comfortable, super quiet and clean!

Review 3:Decor and carpets look a bit dated. Not enough choice for vegetarians

Review 4:Really lovely hotel, been a few times and always enjoyed it. Dog friendly and goodt food in restaurant.

Review 5:I took nine Market Garden Veterans out for the anniversary in September 2015. The hotel could not have done more for us and the food was incredible. We will return in 2016

Review 6:we loved the location and the high standard of all services. We were especially impressed by the comfitable double room.that we enjoyed for both working at the desk and computer and for relaxing generally.

Review 7:By far the worst aspect of this hotel is the free WiFi. It is nearly impossible to use the WiFi between the hours of 6-10 PM, since too many people are on the network. This is quite disappointing and makes it difficult to work in the evenings.

Review 8:The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in booking a taxi, renting a bike, and giving directions. The breakfast included in the room rate was good, but would have liked to have a greater selection of fresh fruit.

Review 9:Most areas are a little drab and suggest that it has seen its day. Bedrooms in particular could do with a little updating and there is no fan in the bathroom.

Review 10:I love the setting of this hotel, amongst the woods and ideal for the dog. It is very dog friendly and does have a certain charm to it. The food at dinner was good.

Review 11:Not a negative, quiet location 5 minutes from nearest town. When the bridge is being repaired, your GPS will bbe confused!

Review 12:Excellent facility and staff. Value for the cost. Did not eat dinner but from quality of menu and number of diners, suspect it is very good.

Review 13:Personnel was not professional, WiFi in the room was very slow - actually it was not possible to use, rooms need some refreshments (they are a bit old).

Review 14:Localisation of the hotel is great! The main reason to come back there.

Review 15:The standard of my room which was smelly. Breakfast was a little dissapointing and haphazard, I personally didnt have any bacon for three days as there was never enough for our party of 7. Often if there was bacon there was no eggs, we had to ask each time and often they didnt bring any and as we had to be out on time to attnd functions for the Commemoration of The Battle of Arnhem we couldn't wait around.

Review 16:The location and area around the hotel. We also had two evening meals in the Hotel which were excellent quality and good value. One of the best meals that I have had. The waiter was very good at explaining the menu.

Review 17:Reception service was very slow as was the restaurant.

Review 18:It is great travelling with dogs having a room with French doors straight into the garden and woods. The dogs were also made very welcome, so we could relax.

Review 19:Hotel rooms showing their age.

Review 20:Public spaces: lounge & restaurant both with great atmosphere, nicely appointed, old fashioned but well done. Outdoor terrace, overall location (in a forest). Attentive and congenial staff.

Review 21:Staff need a bit of coaching - ie to be able to do more than one thing at the same time such as taking away dirty dishes when they bring clean ones. It looks as if they do not get enough support - not much team spirit which is a pity because individually they work OK. They need to own what they do! The young ones could be capable of a lot more. A spirit is missing! Carpet and woodwork a bit run down. Basicly who cares if the staff are enjoying their work and transmit that.

Review 22:Countryside of course - wonderful woods! Loved the collection of makkum (?) and the history attached to the place. It doesn't need to be over modern - it carries a certain air as it is. But everything still needs to have a little more care.

Review 23:Noisy exhaust fan or other equipment below window. Some lack of attention at breakfast (dried remains of scrambled eggs) without timely replenishment.

Review 24:Treed surroundings. Quiet hotel with friendly staff.

Review 25:situation calme nature

Review 26:The bed too smooth

Review 27:the location

Review 28:Location is not in the city center, but in very beautiful forest. The air was so fresh! Everything was really nice.

Review 29:They should put some more lights.

Review 30:The room overlooks a beautiful garden. The room was quiet and clean. The hairdryer was good.

Review 31:The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient. The meals were very good.

Review 32:The beds were way too soft and it felt like we were going to fall off of them.

Review 33:Nice location and breakfast.

Review 34:Rooms could be refreshed and airco was missing on the warmest day of the year.

Review 35:Great location in the woods

Review 36:Friendly and English and German speaking staff, bicycle renting and the location.

Review 37:no foreign TV news stations, poor internet reception

Review 38:nice location, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff.

Review 39:A beautiful, quiet location in the middle of woods. Not far from cities and attractions. You can rent a bike to explore the surroundings.

Review 40:It is almost vintage, but actually pretty nice hotel. Location is almost inside a forest reservation, so it helps with the awesome ambient.

Review 41:Staff always helpful Lovely location

Review 42:No real problems

Review 43:Clean, comfortable, off street parking, good size room, bathroom, storage, quiet location away from village(walking distance) food

Review 44:Location and food!

Review 45:Far from Wageningen and no public transport near. It's difficult to get a taxi in the center to arrive to the hotel

Review 46:Nice place

Review 47:Staff very helpfull Setting brilliant Building had huge character Food brilliant...loved it all

Review 48:Situated in the middle of forest !

Review 49:Big room.

Review 50:the room was moldy and the smell was quite bad

Review 51:Very convenient Situation and good price

Review 52:Slow service for dinner.

Review 53:Superb location.

Review 54:We visited on a hot summer day and the room was too hot, no window could be opened. No airco. Staff was friendly but a bit too formal and almost pompous. Guests were mainly elderly people.

Review 55:Beautiful location and friendly staff; good food.

Review 56:wi-fi connection was slow for skype (but good for email or browsing)

Review 57:Location in a very nice wooded area. By car is quick to get into Wageningen campus. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was really delicious. Will happily stay at this hotel other time when I travel to Wageningen.

Review 58:We were here for work at the university and had to get taxis/bikes as the hotel doesn't have any nearby public transport.

Review 59:Good character hotel in woodland.

Review 60:Everything was old and outdated. Carpets lost original colours a long time ago. Bathrooms were basic even for the 70-ies, but the fungus don't mind. This hotel needs a major renovation, or at least take the 4 stars off their wall. Breakfast was spartan - fine for a youth hostel, not for a 4*.

Review 61:Staff (mostly students I guess) were very friendly

Review 62:Hotel is a bit old fashioned. Nothing wrong if you like it. No seperate shower but shower in bath tub. On your way to the rooms one has to pass a smokersroom (?).

Review 63:Very kind staff. In spite of high season Christmas arrangements (fully booked) staff was very forthcoming.

Review 64:I was late checking in (very late) and the staff were kind enough to get up and let me in. They didn't have to but they did. I really appreciated their effort.

Review 65:the rooms were outdated and a bit shabby, with ceiling tiles coming down, toilet very insecure, very tiny bathroom with nowhere to hang clothes whilst bathing.

Review 66:the price was OK, Bed was very clean and comfortable. Food was very expensive but not really good,

Review 67:Room design a bit old but very clean. Breakfast could be improved with more nicely cut fresh fruits. Good price per night but...without the evening meal option though whihc is quite pricey.

Review 68:Welcoming staff and helpful. The food is very good in the evening but not that cheap. Good wifi included. Car park not an issue. The forest around is a must see.

Review 69:Because I was a one nighter at a weekend, I was given a room overlooking the kitchen with a big noisy fan - which they did turn off at ten at least

Review 70:The food was excellent and good value. The service in the dining room was excellent

Review 71:View was out across the roof not the woods

Review 72:Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, attentive staff and excellent food. Short drive to Wageningen. Unfortunately we Stayed during a heat wave and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning but provided us with a fan - much appreciated

Review 73:The place feels old, and the rooms could use a small face-lift. Because of the hotel's age, there's a bit of a musty smell.

Review 74:Beautifully set in the woods outside of Wageningen, Nol in't Bosch is a quaint hotel. I believe all of the rooms have balconies, and I received a free upgrade to an enormous room after booking a single room. If you eat at the hotel's restaurant, make sure to have the Nol in't Bosch Salad. It's quite nice.

Review 75:The beds were horrible, very soft and with a deep dent in the middle. Anyone with back problems will not want to sleep here.

Review 76:Simple, friendly, clean hotel. Interior of hotel and rooms a bit dated.

Review 77:If you do not have a car the only way to town is by cab.

Review 78:The hotel's accomodations were quite comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The area around the hotel offers many woodland trails to walk. Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably cold. Would like to return when it is warmer and the woodland is green.

Review 79:The furniture was old and sparse. It is far from the city centre. Wifi connection not working.

Review 80:The breakfast wasn't very elaborated, but it was ok.

Review 81:Toilet soiled when we arrived. Service slow in restaurant. Breakfast started 7 a.m., but no coffee until 7.15 a.m. Another day at 9 a.m. (Breakfast served until 10) there was little left on thebuffet.

Review 82:Room comfortable. Excellent lounges. Fantastic location. Restaurant and lounge food good. Service in lounge prompt and friendly.

Review 83:The location was far from the center of the city, isolated fromshopping, restaurants or caffe's, their's no public transportation-only by taxi which costs at least 15 euros each way (if u rent or have acar it's O.k), much more suitable for older people than young ones.

Review 84:The staff was nice

Review 87:maybe the bathroom colours were a little dated, if i had to be picky but kept in style with the hotel. No bath.

Review 88:The staff was very friendly. The hotel had a lovely feel to it, wine was splendid meals were amazing value and quality. Rooms were lovely and warm and had English TV channels. Lovely balcony to sit out on in the summer, I can imagine, I was there in winter in the snow

Review 89:1. The windows of the hotel are single glazed, therefore it can be very cold in the rooms if you go in winter time. 2. The interior is quite old fashioned, a lot of oldish brown colours.

Review 90:1. The hotel is situated in a very beautiful forestry environment. 2. The food at the restaurant of the hotel was very delicious. 3. Nice staff, flexible.

Review 91:Service in restaurant very slow. Clearly understaffed. The lunch menuvery limited for a larger family. Facilities in the room need upgrading, they don't meet 4 star expectations but simple things like a waistpaperbasket, fridge/minibar, information folder with menu etc. are a musthave. It is all a bit out dated.

Review 92:Location is great, not far from Wageningen 10 minutes drive. Verypleased that dog was allowed in rooms and dining area for a small fee (€8,00). Food in the evening was outstanding, great wild menu. Room had agreat view with balcony, and very spacious.

Review 93:The distance between the hotel and Wagening. It is not far but there areno public transportation. Bike is an option but only during the daysince it is to dark at night. Taxis are realy expensive!

Review 94:It is located in a quite and beautiful place. If you want to rest andwalk it is perfect.

Review 95:Breakfast was in contrast to dinners very bad: 20 minutes waiting time to replenish the breakfast buffet. .

Review 96:Dinners were a pleasure, good food and excellent service.

Review 97:The hotel is about 5 minutes by car from wageningen, in the middle of abeautiful landscape with forest. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. Youcan rent a bike.

Review 98:Bedroom n° 1 was very cold (not double glas window). Bedroom n° 41,water was leaking in the bathroon (bath and toilet) No news neithermusic channel on the television

Review 99:The situation is interesting Bedroom n° 41 was warmer than n° 1

Review 100:Staff were excellent particularly the chef head waiter

Review 101:A nice and cosy hotel! In a very beautiful environment! Woods all over the place! And: dog's are allowed!

Review 102:No international TV news stations

Review 103:Free parking, terrace in front of room on ground floor, breakfast

Review 104:Food was good Nice quiet location.

Review 105:Not the best room view

Review 106:Staff pleasant Beds very comfortable

Review 107:No tea or coffee making facilities in the room and for a 4 star hotel I thought was terrible !

Review 108:- No ground floor room with 2 separate beds.

Review 109:- Friendly staff. - Nicely located in a forest. - Good restaurant food.

Review 110:Have stayed at WICC in Wageningen and this is the better option.

Review 111:interior room a bit old

Review 114:Excellent staff. Wonderful restaurant. Deepest respect for Nol in't Boschs chef.

Review 115:The hotel needs a huge renovation!

Review 116:Hotel staff is absolutely excellent. The location is superb in the middle of a forest.

Review 117:Rooms & bathroom dated, only Dutch TV available.

Review 118:Restaurant very good for evening meal. Free wi-fi, beds comfortable. Friendly staff.

Review 119:the receptionist was nos friendly, their team don't speak english very well

Review 120:Rooms could do with updating. Never been given the key to someone else's room before!

Review 121:Comfortable, quality bedding, food good

Review 122:Lovely setting in forest Nice food, clean, friendly staff. Felt safe

Review 123:gedateerd hotel

Review 124:A bit dated, could use some renovation.

Review 127:Location, staff, quiet. Outdoor sitting for bar.
