Reviews for Hotel Priori

Review 1:The staff is not that welcoming. The Internet is super slow and it stops working every 5-10 minutes and then it's up again. Plus, there is only Internet in the ground floor and close to the reception. I visited on the last week of December, that is winter in Italy. It is not Norway cold, but still the nights are freezing and the rooms are a bit cold. I had to take the two extra blankets from the wardrobe and the blank of the spare bed to cover myself because the heating stops working in the night.

Review 2:The location is really good. Very close to everything you need to see.

Review 3:If you are looking for cold rooms, humidity marks on wall, holes in sheets and grubby towels, that's the place to go! Even if cheap, I can't see why it should be so sloppy!

Review 4:Nice breakfast, helpful staff, hot shower, great location

Review 5:When I arrived I didn't even get a smile from the middle-aged woman on the desk. The breakfast was inadequate for such a hotel. No muesli or fruit of any kind. Wifi was supposed to be in public areas but was not in the breakfast room. The towels were threadbare, there was a spring sticking up on my mattress and a hole in the sheet. Furniture was old, worn and rundown.I would never recommend it to anyone.

Review 6:The location.

Review 7:Beds are a bit firm.

Review 8:Perfect location. Room at the back is quiet and some have a view, rooms at the streetside might have some noise at night. 5 min walk to plaza Italia or Minimetro. Close to restaurants and bars.

Review 9:The bathroom was broken down, shower , bide and hooks needed repair. Table in the room almost fell apart.

Review 10:The hotel is located a few steps from the historical city center, practically every monument is in walking distance. Sergio at the reception was extremely helpful in general but especially with the parking which was rather difficult in a nearby garage.

Review 11:Room very poorly lit. Kitchen facilities were very lacking. Fridge barely able to keep food cold.

Review 12:Friendly service and good central location. Spacious room and culturally unique setting.

Review 13:Nothing really bad, only the hotel felt quite frayed around the edges. The staff were pleasant enough, but spoke or understood little English, perhaps more a measure of Perugia as a tourist destination as anything else.

Review 14:The location was great, and Perugia is a beautiful city.

Review 15:No air conditioning in triple room on first floor. Air con needed as summer temps high 38°C+ . Also could hear music from Umbria Jazz late at night.

Review 16:The location of hotel great walking to all tourist areas. Breakfast area very nice open outside area with views.

Review 17:The room was very very small, cheaply furnished; same for the bathroom. No air conditioning!!!!!! (We learned later on that only some rooms inthe hotel have a/c and that we should have made an express requestto have one - such procedure was not clear at all in the bookingprocess! The room was a oven, guests in the other rooms on our floorwere sleeping with open doors in order to create some aircirculation...it felt like being in a hostel (at the price of a 3 starhotel though!) Parking is a bit complicated...but I guess manageable.Breakfast was just ok. The hotel needs some overall renovation. Customercare should also be improved.

Review 18:The location in the heart of the historical center is perfect toenjoy the city.

Review 19:Bit noisy from very early in the morning as from our room we could hear the preparations for breakfast out on the terrace, and they wanted to charge an extra 20 euros a night for airconditioning, which is a bit steep!

Review 20:Fab location

Review 21:very small room, very hot, no fan or AC and very noisy with the window open. Overpriced for what you get.

Review 22:Great central location, perfect for going to Umbria jazz festival, good breakfast.

Review 23:Good size comfortable room. Quiet, but very central location. Interesting lift which goes outside the building. They kindly allowed us to leave our luggage and use their facilities until the evening of the day we checked out. Superb value.

Review 24:The staff were helpful and the location good. There is no wifi in the rooms but only in the central areas. The first room I had was on Priori street and was impossibly noisy. Happily I was moved to a quiet room at the back which was so much better allowing enjoyment of the place

Review 25:The walls are thin, you can hear almost every step in the hallway and people's talking from the lobby. Not all the rooms are close to the lobby though.

Review 26:It's really close to center. For the price it's really great.

Review 27:room not at all as advertised. Dark, ill lit with 2 beds not together. Leaking plumbing, Fridge did not work. Lighting type outdoors industrial. 2nd night got upgraded to better room of type as shown on internet, but were not advised beforehand of extra charge. General assistance given reluctantly.

Review 28:location great.

Review 29:The lack of English tv channels.

Review 30:The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to most of the tourist sites. The breakfast is excellent and a great view from the breakfast room.

Review 31:Shower leaked in both rooms and had considerable mould. Join between mattresses quite noticeable. Thought breakfast was included and did not notice additional tax charge.

Review 32:Location very good, great view from window. Good value for money.

Review 33:Dust and bugs in the extra pillows and blankets Ventilator-noise in the bathroom Noise from other guests walking through the corridors Poor equipped room Very dirty spots on the ceiling (brrrr)

Review 34:The location The staff spoke English Staff was very friendly

Review 35:Staff's attitude, rooms and especially bathrooms are in a very bad condition, furniture, walls and bed sheets are damaged; no double bed but twin beds put together

Review 36:Location

Review 37:The guy at the reception was very helpful: gave me some tea when I asked for it. Hope he did not forget to send my car's plate number to the police.

Review 38:The manner of the older man at reception was very rude and unhelpful when I arrived. Fortunately I dealt with the lady afterwards who was lovely. The Internet did not always connect in the lounge room.

Review 39:Location was excellent and close to everything. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Nice sized rooms.

Review 40:The staff are not welcoming at all. When we left in the morning we paidthe private parking and gave the keys back, later in the day I wascalled on the phone because apparently we had not paid the local tax(about 3 euros) of which we knew nothing about, and the woman on thephone was very unpolite. I said it was their responsibility to tell us,and I was told that I had left in a hurry...unbeievable

Review 41:The location is very central, althoiugh parking is limited and we had topay a private one (15 euros for 1 night)

Review 42:there was spiders in the room and not so clean.

Review 43:It is really good location, you can walk to everywhere. For the price it's good the room and really nice views. The breakfast buffet is really good, the warm croissants excellent!:)

Review 44:The rooms were too hot probably because of the time of year. We had toturn down the heating. Disappointed that there is No wifi in thebedroom. Reception didn't explain what was to offer for breakfastwhen we checked in only that buffet was available. We noticed thatpatrons were served cooked breakfast as well.

Review 45:The bed and pillows were most comfortable. Bathroom is very spacious andwell stocked with towels, soap, running hot water etc. Power pointscater for all European power adapters.

Review 46:the only thing I did not like was the acustics - you could hear everything from the next room and italian guests are loud and talk a lot. Othervise this part of town is really quiet.

Review 47:Number one is of course location and the view from the room - it is unforgetable. The stuff was very helpfull and brekfast was very nice on beautifull terace. Staying at this hotel really made my holidays in Perugia wonderfull.

Review 48:Haven't noticed anything bad

Review 49:We have been only one night here, but it was really nice. Simple, but clean, nice room, even when it was really cold outside inside of the room was warm. In front of the hotel you will find a nice restaurant and the position of the hotel is perfect.

Review 50:Refrigerator in the room was not working but they were happy to keep our stuff in their kitchen till we required it.

Review 51:Location is great - right in the centre of the town. Room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good too, and the breakfast room is quite lovely on the terrace.

Review 52:Front desk staff had a very indifferent attitude during my entire six-night stay. Rarely smiled, barely greeted me, never went out of their way to offer help or to make me feel welcome. I felt I was bothering them when I did have a question! Someone left me an important message, and they "forgot" to give it to me!!

Review 53:Great location; right in the heart of the old city. Within minutes of everything - historical sites, shopping, restaurants. Very safe walking at night. Room was very basic, but fine for the price. Nice breakfast set-up.

Review 54:Had a room with spacious balcony and very comfortable beds. The bathroom (shower and toilet) were a little small but who cares...I'd go back 1000 times. Plus there's one of the best osterias in town right across the street!

Review 55:arrival by car very complicated first night bed of bad quality - try out your bed before taking your room!

Review 56:good, central location, helpful desk staff.

Review 57:If you want to stay in the center of the old town in an inexpensivehotel this is a good place but travel light and be prepared for a lot ofsteps. It's a major uphill trek from the bus station with luggageeven when the escalators are all working.

Review 58:This hotel was perfectly adequate for a short tourist stay in Perugia. It is a bit dated but then so is Perugia

Review 59:the shower curtain is too short and as a result the water is all around the shower tray. But the bathroom is cleaned every morning so it is not such a big problem.

Review 60:the hotel is situated in the very heart of Perugia - on a charming narrow street with lots of little shops. Also very easy to get there from the train station: just take the mini-metro to the station Cupa (metro works from 7 to 21.30, otherwise you'll have to take a taxi) and from there there is an escalator that takes you up to the old city, right to the street where the hotel is situated. Can't be more simple! The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean, nice old wooden furniture in the room. Beautiful terrace where the breakfast is served. The breakfast is good and substantial and doesn't cost much. the towels are changed regularly. Overall, a very good impression - if I ever come to Perugia again I won't have doubts where to stay.

Review 61:Parking space is available but staff could not advise more details since it belongs to a different owners. However, we used it without any issues.

Review 62:Location is perfect. It is easy to find. Rooms are good size and clean.

Review 63:MOST staff (not all) were rude. Elderly gentleman at the desk upon arrival was horrid. Laughed in my face when I told him that the Wi-Fi had stopped working. Also note: due the structure of the building and how old it is, Wi-Fi is awful in the hotel. And the cleaners! Most mornings at about 9am they would be cleaning rooms next to ours and would YELL so loud at each other. I had just travelled more than 30 hours and was extremely Jet lagged. Due to time difference I wouldn't fall asleep at an appropriate hour, but when I did only 4 or so hours later, they were YELLING outside our door. My friend and I really struggled for the first few days sleep wise. Not to mention when she knocked on my door and realised I wasen't Italian (though I speak) during a question to her at my door...she just...walled away! mid sentence! We were going to stay another 4 days, but due to the cleaners making it impossible to sleep, we left.

Review 64:Location was excellent and rooms quite pretty.

Review 65:The staff is extremely unkind and unproffesional!!! The man in the desk when we arrived was interrogating my wife and searching her identity like she was a suspicious or criminal. As they have a very bad router and the wifi did not work, when we complained the woman in the desk said "it s not my problem" !!!! in a very bad manner.

Review 66:Only the place .although difficult to find the hotel The place.

Review 67:We were really happy with the hotel, so no complaints.

Review 68:We ppaida little more to have a suite in The Hotel Priori, which was a good decision. The rooms were really atmospheric, with 17th century frescos. The main reason for choosing this hotel was location and that was perfect as it was circa 200 metres from the main street in the upper part of the city.

Review 69:The accommodations were dated, there was no ac when it was listed as a hotel that contained AC which was a bit inconvenient when visiting Perugia in 90 degree weather.

Review 70:The location was great- near the main piazza in town, close to many restaurants.

Review 71:There isn´t wifi in the bedrooms.

Review 72:The location is perfect. It is close to major sights and the street includes good restaurants, shops and cafes. The hotel is clean and good value.

Review 73:Elevator does not go to third floor; no wifi in room; TV is too small

Review 74:Close to the centre of the old city

Review 75:Dated room. poor mattress, no air. No frills. Fridge didn't work.

Review 76:Centrally located.

Review 77:No WiFi in the rooms, non-helpful staff

Review 78:Location was good

Review 79:Central location, helpful parking nearby and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable to stay in which made for a positive start to the holiday.

Review 80:The lack of air conditioning was the biggest downside.

Review 81:Great location, and not bad at all. Certainly crammed a lot into very small spaces.

Review 82:Desk staff impatient.

Review 83:Great breakfast...delicious. Cook was very friendly and gracious.

Review 84:It would be Nice if the wifi worked in the rooms

Review 85:Breakfast included is nice

Review 86:The room was large, clean, airy and wonderful view, the staff overall could be a little more welcoming - breakfast was a little sparse

Review 87:The toilet is not the best I've seen...

Review 88:La ubicación

Review 89:no air conditioning

Review 90:position really close to center

Review 91:Super friendly staff lovely little room very clean, perfect for my very short stay and an excellent location

Review 92:Nothing....a great place to stay

Review 93:Location,friendliness and helpfulness of staff, size of room, breakfast

Review 94:A nice old building in the historic centre. Friendly welcome. Helpful about storing bikes. Nice indoor/outdoor breakfast area.

Review 95:Very noisy at night with window open

Review 96:Room very good for the price

Review 97:Grumpy staff, small noisy room, no fan or air conditioner, breakfast sparse.

Review 98:Location was fabulous!

Review 99:Less comfortable beds.

Review 100:Old city setting!

Review 101:Fantastic view over rooftops and beyond. Room had everything we needed

Review 102:Position hotel is accessible for all destination. It's very important for seniors.

Review 103:Nice place, very good position. value for money.

Review 104:WIFI in the room was a challenge. Not a consistent signal.

Review 105:We liked the location near piazza, food and market. Big rooms and charming overall feeling.

Review 106:nothing

Review 107:Friendly staff especially at Check-in; hotel has great views and is central to transport; room was comfortable and warm in the winter

Review 108:internet connection was only in one room by the entrance.

Review 109:The hotel is located in a great position, good restaurants and wine bars.

Review 110:The bathroom

Review 111:Great location, staff and breakfast

Review 112:A couple of staff members a bit cool, though helpful when asked. Lady in kitchen very nice.

Review 113:Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast.

Review 114:Thin walls, could hear someone 4 rooms over talking in the night.

Review 115:Location, bathroom size. Firm mattress.

Review 116:Mechanical garage door to hotel opening constantly and noisily all night. Rock hard bed and pillows.

Review 117:Breakfast terrace outdoors. Central location

Review 118:great building, value for money, in quiet place, clean, nice service

Review 119:Old bathroom

Review 120:Very convenient location close to town centre, with everything on foot.

Review 121:Receptionist

Review 122:Location and Price

Review 123:Certainly the best place to be in Perugia. Highly recommended.

Review 124:Excellent location, right in the heart of Perugia. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was pleasant with a balcony that looked over a very nice courtyard. Wonderful view of glorious sunsets and night sky too. Perugia's finest restaurant just across the cobbled pedestrian street. We would recommend to anyone.

Review 125:we had a wonderful room with views across the rooftops of Perugia.Breakfasts were superb, staff very attentive all in all excellent value and we would not hesitate to stay there again

Review 126:The rooms can be very different and prompt for a very different experience, ranging from poor to magnificent. We were initially assigned a room facing the street. It was veeeery small, extremely noisy and was facing a wall, therefore very dark. We were promptly offered a much nicer alternative (large room with a view) when we asked. The central position also means quite some noise at night. No internet in the rooms, just in the reception lobby.

Review 127:Great view from some of the rooms - be sure to ask for one facing the city and the hotel's dining area, not the busy Via dei Priori street. Perfect location, 3 minutes away from the central square. Very nice dining area. The room was perfectly clean and charming, but has old furniture and appliances, which can be either quaint or disappointing, according to taste.

Review 128:Great location in the heart of Perugia. Close to so many sites to see, restaurants and shops. Located very close to the main street and transit (Cupa-mini metro). Loved this city!

Review 129:The room was small and badly organised - it was impossible to watch the TV from the bed for example. The bed was a bit soft and the bathroom was cramped. we had absolutely no view from our room.

Review 130:Good position - right in the centre of town. Good public services in the hotel. The internet does actually extend to some rooms - give it a try you might be lucky!

Review 131:Parking is impossible garage not monitored by cameras use alpine de Swiss garage

Review 132:Not the place to find for the person with a GPS use parking lot alp for Swiss then talk escalators up parking 20 euros a night otherwise close to center de la fonota and shops ... Comfort good, location good except parking ...
