Review 1：1) the room is too small, there is no space to even open my medium size luggage. If you travel to Japan, please do not bring large size luggage.

I go to Shirakawa-go everyday for 3 days. 2) Value for money 3) Strong wifi at all time 4) lots of restaurant near by 5) 15 min walking distance to the Morning Market and "old town". 6) there is a convenient shop down stairs!

Having said that, if hotel could provide the proper guidance with photos, for how to get to hotel would be perfect. we struggled a lot before we could find this hotel, and worst, it was raining heavily. 3) there are lots of restaurant near by around JR station 4) there are lots of small packets of facial oil, combs, toothbrush are available near the lift lobby, we were not told when we check in but we saw the Japanese people taking it. 5) must try their breakfast at Ground floor lobby, very delicious and value for money.

Review 6：The location is GREAT!! JR bus station and train station are in front of the hotel. Major attractions are also all within walking distance. A mini-market was just downstairs of the hotel which is super convenient.

Review 14：The location was ideal, 1 minute to the bus station and 5 to the old part of town. The room was small and neat, exactly what one expects in a Japanese business style hotel. The breakfast had a good variety of options, toast, egg, pickles, miso etc.

Review 15：My wife & I arrived at 1pm after a long train journey and although the room we were to occupy was ready the male receptionist would not let us access the room until the designated time of 3pm. The female receptionist on duty was going to allow us to go straight up after booking in but she was over-ruled by her colleague. Both my wife and self are in our late 70's.

Review 17：Wasn't able to change the temperature as the hotel had switch over to heater already. Room was too warm for my liking. Wasn't able to open the window much as it was raining and instead of curtains, it had sliding wood panels to block out the sunlight, which kinda blocked the wind from coming in to cool the room.

Review 18：Directly across the JR Takayama Station and Nohi Bus Station. Very convenient to get around. Simple no fuss hotel. Hotel was also nice to hold the luggage before check in and after check out. Did not have breakfast there, so no idea about the food. There was a Family Mart just downstairs, no worries if one gets hungry in the middle of the night. I think the price is pretty good considering it being in a tourist spot over weekends (I stayed from Sat to Mon).

Review 21：The hotel was located right opposite the station with family mart right below. It was incredibly convenient. The place was clean, staff was polite, nothing to complain about. I'm not sure if I got the place at a discount but I was impressed with what I got considering how little I paid. Would definitely stay here again.

Beds were comfortable, staff were friendly and kindly changed our room to be away from the elevator (room change gave us a view of the mountains). Family Mart is underneath, and a great little-old-lady run soba noodle restaurant close by. Room was a standard size for Japan but manageable for 2 people, lots of toiletries provided with a great pressured shower, and an English tv channel was a lovely surprise (BBC News). Would definitely stay here again.

Review 39：The room is small but it is clean and the beds are comfortable. The pyjamas is good quality. I like the location very much as it is just opposite the JR station and the bus station. Easy to move in and out of Takayama. There is a 7-11 downstairs and the old town is just 10 minutes away by walk and Higashimaya walking trail is about 15 minutes away. The reception officers are all very helpful with directions and recommendation with their good enough English.

So staying at Country hotel allow me to have longer sleeping time, it is basically 1 minute away from Bus center :). Not only this,this hotel's location is only ~ 5 minutes walk to that two famous morning markets, very convenience!

Didn't bother us, but for those who are sensitive to having enough space you may want to consider this. Review 95：Not all the staff speaks English. The "security system" needs improvement. - you need to drop off your room key at reception. To rentry, one need to tell. The receptionist his room number. The receptionist will not check this person' identity. Instead he will show the person the room owner's registered name on the form and ask for confirm. Practically anyone can go to the reception and ask for a room number and they will present the key.

Front receptionist went all out to help us make reservations for cormorant fishing at Gifu City for the following week. Strong wifi in room.
