Reviews for Albergo Villa Edy

Review 1:Sadly we had to shorten our intended stay, do hope to be able to make return visit for longer next time.

Review 2:Stunning views from our balcony, great location, delightful walks & easy ferry connections to lake destinations & rail links from Como. Very peaceful setting. Good restaurants nearby. We enjoyed sitting by pool in garden setting in the afternoon after exploring area.

Review 3:A bit far to walk to restaurants etc.. Walls like paper, we could hear everything, door opening/closing people walking in the hallway, this might be the only reason for that we might not come back

Review 4:Kind of cosy, easy parking nice friendly staff.

Review 5:Small rather depressing room and tiny bathroom. Meagre toiletries. No mini bar, no tea /coffee in room, safe but no key. Limited choice at breakfast, undercooked boiled eggs one day. Dark walk back from town in evening.

Review 6:Clean and free parking outside

Review 7:Rooms need air conditioning. Very uncomfortable in heat. Refused a drink at the bar at 10.45 pm as the guy didn't have time to serve us as closes at 11pm & he still had to lay breakfast tables. Really quite rude. We've stayed at Villa Eddy on past & enjoyed it but this attitude spoiled our stay especially as we had taken friends with us this time. Mentioned it to Owner next day who was apologetic but damage done by then. Doubtful we will go back again.

Review 8:Lovely location. Beautiful setting. Very convenient to get over to bellagio. Very clean.

Review 9:Air conditioning would be nice to have. WiFi also is pretty poor.

Review 10:Location is nice and quiet, away from the busy noisy roads on the lakeside. Pool area was lovely to spend time at. Spacious grounds with peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was good and option to have lunch on site was great.

Review 11:room was a little small because the door onto the balcony opened inwards.

Review 12:Lovely view from balcony. Restaurants in local area which were easily accessible on foot. En route one gets a good idea of how the local Italians live. The vegetable gardens were a delight.

Review 13:Too expensive for what it is. Air conditioning inadequate, bed not very comfortable, breakfast very average.

Review 14:View, pool, setting. Staff extremely nice.

Review 15:Our stay was too short! We'll be back! Nothing not to like.

Review 16:Comfortable with great views out towards Lake Como from balcony. Well maintained grounds, would suit families.

Review 17:There wasn't anything I didn't like. A shame they didn't have a restaurant for evening meals .

Review 18:Beautiful views, great staff and relaxing time.

Review 19:The walk up the hill isn't fun in the heat and it's about 20 euro for a 5 minute taxi ride as all seem to be private. If you are fairly fit though the walk is pretty and not too bad,not fun with luggage!!

Review 20:The people that warned there were amazing, very helpful and made you feel at ease.

Review 21:Rooms with a view are fantastic. Our room was too small for a couple, so would always advise picking a room wth a balcony.

Review 22:The location with its views and proximity to the town. The friendliness and hospitality of the staff. The swimming pool

Review 23:Breakfast buffet could add some variations like food from the region

Review 24:All staff members were very nice and helpful Very quiet location Hotel is close to the greenway path, a walking path to reach Tremezzo city center

Review 25:It's a little bit further from everything compared to all hotels on the main road, but still walkable (20 minutes to center Tremezzo)

Review 26:The size of the room!

Review 27:Breakfast is rather simple, not too many restaurants nearby (and the hotel does not have one either).

Review 28:Location is very quiet, view on the lake and the mountains is superb. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Nice hiking possibilities in the area.

Review 29:the walk up the hill, but then again you wouldn,t have the views

Review 30:hotel good,breakfast ok,location good,parking good ,views good,pool good,staff helpfull

Review 31:zip.

Review 32:Location -- a brief uphill walk from the busy street along Lake Como. Couldn't hear traffic, revelers, but could join them easily! Easy walk to ferry to Bellagio, etc. Loved the simplicity & sophistication of the furnishings. The glorious view. Roberto & Fredericka were warm, lovely hosts. He recommended 2 excellent places to dine. Nice pool.

Review 33:The rooms are a bit small Some noise in the opposite room on the second night Tea and coffee are bit cold

Review 34:The view from the hotel is fantastic, clean

Review 35:The only down side is the steep hill up to the Villa, which if you are without a car as we were, was quite taxing! There is no restaurant at the villa also, so need to walk out of an evening.

Review 36:Villa Edy was spotlessly clean, incl pool area and terrace etc. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and it was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

Review 37:nothing

Review 38:the hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the lake without the traffic noise of the lakeside road. Very friendly and excellent service. We liked everything about it and would definitely stay again

Review 39:location on a hill was part of its charm for me, but might not suit less able bodied walkers -

Review 40:Peaceful setting a plus for me-lakeside hotels are on a busy road but I could hear crickets as I fell asleep! Hotel is located on local 'green route' for walkers-small hotel Well kept grounds and pool Area-relaxing dining area - helpful staff always on hand - spotlessly clean-smashing wifi - everywhere! -

Review 41:Nothing.

Review 42:My family and I stayed at Villa Edy and everything about it was stellar. If you want a smaller family run hotel, this is it. My boys 11 and 13 loved the pool and the tennis court. Frederick and Roberta were helpful with restaurants and such. The sounds if the locals in the hills was an organic experience. If you want a resort this is not it. It is a different sort of gem.

Review 43:Our room was a very plainly decorated standard hotel room and the walls were bare.

Review 44:The hotel is a few minutes walk off the main lake side road and to restaurants in tremezzo. The pool was very clean and and in great condition The staff is very helpful Great views from the rooms and breakfast terrasse

Review 45:it was just perfect - no negatives.

Review 46:Location perfect for us - up from busy lake road, affording amazing views and also peace and quiet. On Greenway - could walk to Villa Carlotti and Lenno.

Review 47:The staff were very helpful by offering to book tables for dinner and giving good advice about nearby restaurants which matched to our expectations. A peaceful spot which gave an instant feel of relaxation for the weekend. We intend to go back for another visit.

Review 48:Lovely hotel with great view of lake Como from our balcony. Good room and great pool. Ate at Pizzeria Bagonett which is in a lady's back garden just 5 mins walk from hotel. Great place and highly recommended - look at their webpage.

Review 82:Comfortable, clean excellent view over Lake Como from our room

Review 83:took a little to find the restaurants nearby, but when you do they're great

Review 84:The views, the location to the lake, the peace and quiet

Review 85:I would like more fruits and vegetables on the buffet.

Review 86:Wonderful relaxing stay. The comfortable and cozy. The breathtaking views from the window. Among the most beautiful places on the lake. Good location of the hotel. Friendly staff. Nothing worries.

Review 87:It could have had a small minibar in the room or a drink dispenser in a corridor.

Review 88:The view from the balcony was amazing. The Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 89:Rooms were slightly dated but in the Italian style. No AC in the room. Breakfast needs to be more varied, after 3 nights got a bit bored.

Review 90:Great parking. Great pool space.

Review 91:The room didn't have any ventilation and the room was a bit in need of upgrading. The location was nice because of the view, but it was also further from the village and up quite steep hill.

Review 92:Very nice small hotel, staff was very friendly, good bar and good view to mountains and lake. Small nice pool and pool area.

Review 93:A bit of a trek back up to Villa Edy from the main restauant area - may be a problem for those with mobility issues; however, after a heavy meal we welcomed the walk.,

Review 94:Everything! Spacious room - had the pool suite. Good breakfast. Brilliant value in a pricey area.

Review 95:A minor point but disappointed we couldn't sit and have our last drink on the balcony as it was "set for breakfast".

Review 96:Peaceful location with a feeling of being away from it all while still close to all the amenities of Lake Como. Great swimming pool.

Review 97:Getting bitten by nasty little insects when sitting out for a drink in the evening.

Review 98:Friendly, English speaking owner, superb view and central location for Lake Como

Review 99:Small badroom facilities. No dinner facilities, however there are lot's of fine restaurants nearby (and one truly excellent).

Review 100:We come here every other year for a few day's and the hotel always stays at the same level of quality. Clean rooms, beautiful views, well organized and complete breakfast, good service and friendly staff. Unfortunately no dinner facilities, but that is not really a problem since there is an excellent Pizzeria close to the hotel named 'Balognett'.

Review 101:The staff were great and the most helpful I have found in a hotel to date. The hotel was VERY clean. The hotel was very tranquil and relaxing. The breakfast was a nice continental.

Review 102:Weather was very hot while we were there and despite a fan, it was quite difficult to sleep without air conditioning.

Review 103:Hotel location and staff were great. Our room was large, very comfortable and had a balcony with wonderful views of Lake Como.

Review 105:The Hotel is Family run and you were made to feel like part of the family

Review 106:Very friendly, quiet place above Tremezzo. The room was very clean, the shower large, and the owners very very helpfull and kindly. If you stay in Tremezzo take this quiet paradise above the loud street downtown. Parking direkt on the Hotelarea, 3 minutes walk to the "City". Tennis Court, and Pool very good, place for everybody, no "fights" for sun lounger. Thanks for all! Robert, Nicole and our redhaired son Amon.
