Review 1：We found a cockroach once we opened up our room's door (gross!). The foods are mediocre.

Review 2：Our stay was concurrent with the Monsoon Cup event. Hence we can watch the race during our visit. The resort architecture is unique and the landscape is well maintained

Review 3：Room cleanliness is under maintenance - spider webs are found at each corner of the room; sofa with stains; mosquitoes are everywhere etc

Review 5：In-house fixtures relatively run down. Edges of room dirty. Breakfast is cold & limited food choices. Swimming pool closed til mid Jan 2016. Gondola service stopped. Surprised to see two customers allowed drive & park their cars right up to the chalets we stayed against house rules.

Review 9：Air conditioner was not working when we got into the room. Took quite a while for maintenance to come, even after 2 reminders. When we asked if it were possible to move to another room, we were told there was no more available rooms. Ironically the place was quite deserted over the 2 days that we were there, even at breakfast.

Review 11：Very run down supposedly 5-star resort. Poor built quality and fittings and fixtures - not reflective of a 5-star resort. Skeletal staffing. We were not informed of the pool being closed for renovation.

Review 14：Swimming pool under construction but not disclosed before booking. A lot of mosquitoes in the room; my daughter has over 40 bites for a night. The extra bed they charged is RM80 per night but it is just a mattress on the floor. Breakfast is poor with limited choices. The price booked does not include 10% service charges and 6% GST. It turns out to be quite expensive hotel for what it provides - totally not worth it.

Review 15：Wifi cannot be used after 2 times calling the maintenance. The action was slow we had to call them so many times. Pool was closed for renovation, but no communication being made. Hotel is dirty. The cardboard they paste at the mirror was full of dust. Ashtray was not cleaned for new guest. Ashtray full of cigarettes from previous customer. You had to use buggy service to go to your room. No one is waiting at the buggy and we had to climb up the stairs to get someone to drive the buggy. 5* hotel? I don't think so.

Review 16：its not a bad experience..just feel that the reception are not disabled friendly...I meant we have to climb lot of stairs to go up to the reception....

Review 17：It has a breathtaking scene and environment, green and blue. Green for the landscape and blue for the ocean. I like the chalet very much..the entrance is just like a home and its like a townhouse concept. I love the doors and windows , if you want lots of light to enter you can open the shutters and sliding doors...

Review 18：Beware that this is a 'dry' hotel. There is no alcohol available anywhere on site. The pool was closed for refurbishment - but I guess that means when it re-opens that it will be much improved. Lack of atmosphere. Don't stay here if you are looking for fun packed evenings. I went to the 'bar' for a drink at 10pm and I was the only person there.

Review 19：The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds are lovely - lots of small chalet blocks spread out over a wide area. So there is a short walk to the restaurant for meals but if you don't fancy the walk (about 5 mins) they will fetch you in a buggy.

Review 22：Cleanliness, bidet was broken, power point was badly designed and located - can't even put the charged as it was too near the built in bedside table. Room service was average.

Review 23：Close proximity to the Marina and the fact that they offered us a late check out charges instead of charging us a full day rate when we checked out at 8pm.

Review 24：Room is rundown. Mould on the ceiling. Cobwebs everywhere. Parking lots uses interlocking tiles that are uneven. I stumbled upon the tiles and fell down. At night, walkways, parking areas and other areas are very poorly lit and dark. Very dangerous for guests.

Review 28：We were moved to another room after hot water boiler problem. Even it was an upgrade, the room was in terrible condition. Dusty, blinds not working, unpolished bathroom ( no signs of grouting done since opening ). No slippers, one bathrobe. Maintenance personnel came over one day and asked to check for fridge seriel number. I didnt entertain him. It should be done when the room is not occupied. Riyaz needs to know how to venture in hospitality business. Not coning back.

Review 30：Some info on booking.com are fake, i.e. the staff doesn't speak sufficient English ( creating problems of basic communication), there is no any excursions desk in the hotel, but they pass you on the phone external private people orginising private trips for very high prices (be careful), no spa, no ping-pong, no karaoke. The safe-deposit in the room was broken. The hotel has a strong islamic orientation, including no beer at all in the restaurants of the hotel, no pork and loudly islamic prayers very early in the mornings. In my opinion, it should be rated as a 3 star-hotel.

Review 31：The response for maintanance is 45 minutes to fix air-con. Phone line in room does not work. The distance from lobby to room is too far , need a buggy to pick and send , with no phone working, how to get them ? Car park and challet too far. Not brightly lighted up, very dark and spooky. The theater room which is suppose to work is locked. Practically no entertaintment!! Swimming pool very small and limited .

Review 55：The reception staff initially screwed up our reservation & gave me the key to only one room instead of two that we booked. We only realized that when we went to our room which was some distance away from the reception building. I had to go back and explained that I should have keys to 2 rooms and the lady staff was not even apologetic. The choice of foods for the breakfast buffet is a bit limited and there's no more DIY sandwich that I loved on my last visit.

Review 57：1. I booked two rooms, received first room key at 3.30pm, and second room key at 5.50pm. AND POLITELY THEY ASKED US TO CHECK OUT AT 12:00PM NEXT DAY ACCORDING TO HOTEL POLICY THEY SAID, WITHOUT CONSIDERING ALSO CHECK IN POLICY IS 2:00PM ACTUALLY BUT WE ONLY GOT OUR ROOMS MUCH LATER.

The aircon was not working ...swimming pool was very dirty... staff not be able to speak english so they don't understand when we ask or order food. .. breakfast was very limited ... and nothing to eat for vegetarians.. even not enough juice .. The room was very dirty and freezer not working. The most surprise was 5 star hotel with mosquito in room throughout the stay.. I will never stay in this hotel again... even when we complaint to staff they pretent like they don't know or even don't bother to address our concern..

Review 61：The comfortable rooms are let down poor maintenance and are looking rather tired. When we arrived we had to call for a power fuse to be fixed so that the fridge would work. Then we had to call again as there was no hot water. To their credit, the problems were attended to very quickly.

Review 68：RiYadz is something like a chalet resort with 6 stars services. It was indeed comfortable for me and my family to stay over. Only that its a little further away (but possible to get a taxi - just ask from the Customer Service) from all the proximities like Pasar Payang and the floating mosque or Crystal mosque. My area at Block 8 has no mosquitoes. Toilet and shower room are big enough and comfortable. Their laundry are really fast - turnover of not even 1 day (I send in the morning and got it back late afternoon). Room Service are great as around our area do not have any stall hence we make full use of the room service e.g. asking for a bucket of ice. Indeed a great place to rest and relax!

Review 69：- rotten apples were provided in the room - facilities in the room not complete eg no teaspoon, no laundry bag, toilet bowl dirty, got ants in the freezer, lots of mosquitoes even have been provided mosquitoes liq repellent - staff not friendly enough, doesnt come out from shuttle van to help us pick up the bag into/out from the car - no staff greets/warm welcome at the lobby at all - breakfast is not satisfying, no kuih muih representing terengganu food..

Review 71：The rooms are OK but not especially well maintained, the doors have gaps all round so the room gets lots of mosquito's inside. The grounds are well kept, but the SPA for example wasn't available (I think a problem for years already. This is one of the very conservative states in Malaysia - no alcohol except in Chinatown - I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to see "old" Malaysia which hasn't been modernised.
