Reviews for Torre di Renda
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Gorgeous grounds, very tranquil setting. Attentive staff. Very good food. Near Villla Romana. The perfect antidote to the hustle bustle of Catania
Review 3:Perennial problem of what to do with four-people's pool and room towels...... We had to find quiet places in the public areas to hang them to dry. Wardrobes were falling apart. Wi-fi coverage was poor (effectively limited to the downstairs lobby).
Review 4:Friendly staff, family-orientated. Good hill-top location (if challenging to find), with lovely views across to Piazza Armerina. An older building with character but modernised. Air-con was quiet. Large, comfortable and airy dining room.
Review 5:- no Wi-Fi :( - very basic breakfast - room and bathroom could really use some renovation... :( - old matttress
Review 6:- great view - spacious parking - dogs :) dogs everywhere! :) - nice, big building - a little bit like mountain shelter - winding and crazy road to the Piazza Armerina and Villa Romana (about 10-15 min drive)
Review 7:The grounds and the view were great. Friendly service. Close to Piazza Armerina and the Villa Romana del Casale, which is a must to see with its wonderful mosaics. We had dinner one evening and it was perfect with a great variety of Sicilian dishes.
Review 8:Wonderful view across the valley to the town, both from the room and the terrace. Dinner was excellent and the swimming pool was wonderful. We were there in October and almost on our own.
Review 9:The dinner! The food was supermarket quality. The price of the meal was excessive for sicilien standards. The owner was too insistent for us to have dinner. No menu and no prices! Even with a GPS it's difficult to find the bad access to the place! I don't recommend this place!
Review 10:Having stumbled upon Torre Di Renda 4 years ago when travelling in Sicily, I was so charmed that I determined to make another visit. We were not disappointed, the accommodation is definitely 3 star but the food and hospitality, as well as the location are amazing. Wonderful views, peaceful forest walks and so close to the Roman villa. 4 course, typical Sicilian was superb, thanks so much, again!
Review 11:Swimming pool area very beautiful. Very delicious evening meals on terrace with wonderful view over the valley to Piazza Armerina. Spacious room with beautiful view. Excellent WIFI in all areas. Well signed on all access roads.
Review 12:The country road which leads to the hotel is charming during the day, but it can be a little "disquieting" at night.
Review 13:The calm of the location. A very charming hotel. The view is breath-taking. Excellent quality of the breakfast. Bathroom comfortable.
Review 14:Matrasses could be better. Not very eco-friendly because towels and soap are changed every day.
Review 15:Very nice swimming pool, good atmosphere, beautiful view and lovely garden, friendly staff, nice dogs. The optional dinner is good value for money.
Review 16:The food was delicious but it would be easier to have a menu available -even a very limited one -and to be able to pick and choose which courses you wanted. We were charged full price for 3 three course meals but only really ate two as our daughted missed secondi and fruit. Small matter and not a problem but worth noting. The beds are rather hard as seems to be the cae in other places we visited in Sicily. Might be worth investing in new matresses.
Review 17:This is a lovely place with a fantastic view of the hill town of Piazza Armarina. The food was very good -perhaps some of the best we had in Sicily. The staff were relaxed and we didn't feel under any sort of pressure-unlike some of our stays. Much better than other placwes with higher scores
Review 18:No bad experience.

Review 22:Beautiful view of the town from terrace.
Review 23:Inazio made our holiday excelland. We planed to stay there for 2 days and instead we stayed there 3 days. Food was very good.

Review 29:Everything was perfect.
Review 30:Bed covers were not of a high standard. Need doonas and featther pillows!
Review 31:Rural. Rustticity but formal amenity. Would love the pool - too cold weather this time. Food best in two weeks of gourmet travel in Sicily.
Review 32:Liked everything! Fabulous and friendly hotel. Wonderful views, terrific room, delicious "no option" dinner. It was a wonderful place and I would definitely return.
Review 33:Bit difficult to find.
Review 34:Excellent location.Wonderful view of city across valley.Food excellent both dinner and breakfast. Attentive and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable and clean. Well placed for local sights.
Review 35:It is a little difficult to find, the signs are not always in the most optimal places.
Review 36:Location was fantastic, a wonderful view over the city. When you arrive the friendly dog welcomes you. Great pool! Dinner is excellent.
Review 37:Nice location overviewing Piazza Armerina however you need to have a car to visit this city and to get to the hotel as it is a bit remote in the hills. Good location also to visit Villa Romana. Nice swimming pool to relax from the culture trips in the area.
Review 38:We LOVED our stay at Torre di Renda. The most spacious room out of 9 hotels that we stayed in during our stay in Sicily. Fantastic views over the town and countryside, from the swimming pool just as well. Very friendly staff, most enjoyable dinner! RECOMMENDED!
Review 39:breakfast: old bread (also in the evening), syrup orange juice, no italian style coffee. service attitude of the serving staff - albeit not unfriendly we did not sense that they really loved their job (?)
Review 40:Great views from the hotel Ambiance Swimming pool + terrace Archeological sites (Villa Romana, Morgantina)
Review 41:Beautiful setting, welcoming staff and delicious food and wine (I recommend going for the slightly more expensive Nero d'Avala...fabulous!).
Review 42:Italian breakfast, clean rooms, view
Review 43:Wonderful location, warm welcome and super food - our best stay in all of Sicily.
Review 44:Internet coverage was patchy.
