Review 1：The room was extremely hot (the weather was rather hot that day too, soperhaps the sun was shining on the roof all day). The windows were wideopen when I arrived, which I can understand given the heat, but thatmeant that there were literally dozens of mosquitoes in the room. Iimmediately closed the windows and killed as many as possible, but stillwoke up with around 10 mosquito bites the next day. Perhaps airco wouldbe a solution for the rooms which tend to get very warm?
Review 2：Convenient location and value for money. I booked a single room, butreceived a very spacious double room. I checked in late, but was able tomake a very easy arrangement with the hotel to collect a key.
Review 3：On warm sunny days, the room gets very hot, having no airco or ventilator. So you have to keep the windows open. Then the noise from the (bus)station is extra loud when you want to sleep. Screens to keep mosquitos out would be very welcome. The curtains are rather small to keep (sun)light out.

Review 8：When we walked into our room there was an overpowering sewer smell. My husband immediately grabbed towels, soaked them in water and stuffed them into the floor drain, the sink drain and the tub drain which stopped the escape of sewer gas smell. He then spoke with one of the owners who said they'd never heard of this before which simply can't be true because I remembered reading a review about this from a previous guest. I had forgotten this and booked the place anyways. THIS nEEDS TO BE FIXED PERMANENTLY because other than that this place has some really positive things going for it. The staff was wonderful. It was the first place in 21 days that had a little variation on the typical Dutch breakfast which I really appreciated. The location is ideal being right across from the train station. The room was clean and after getting the sewer smell stopped we slept very well there. Fix that problem and you ve got a lot going for you. Not sure if it s every room or just the one we slept in. Good place to stay but ask them about this and you ll be ok. Very personable owner and staff. I d stay there again but only with reassurance that this had been taken care of.

Review 22：We came in after the hottest day of the year so far. The room must have been over 35 degrees C. and only 2 small parts of the windows opened. However the staff had a fan in the room. Even so we did sleep very little due to the heat.

We found them to be verylimited and unusual, maybe typical for area but not to our taste so wedid not eat breakfast here even though it was included. Items available:dark bread, warm tomatoes, yogurt and (poached?) eggs. The furniture inthe room is well used and the carpet was rough on bare feet, neither ofwhich were really a big deal but thought I would provide fulldisclosure. The two things that bothered me the most were the conditionof the lounge chairs in our room, which definately need replaced and thebroken wardrobe. Keep in mind this is a family owned small business andnot a large chain hotel. Here you will get personalized service and feelsubmerged in the local culture. For us the positives outweigh the fewnegatives and we would definately stay here again the next time we visitSneek without hesitation
Review 32：Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a "Family"room which was suprisingly large. Great Wifi and many tv channels arein English or have subtitles. Beds were large and comfortable. Largebathroom. Coffee maker in room brews the best coffee! Close to railstation. On site free parking. No elevator and steep stairs but staffhelped us with our luggage. No air conditioning but windows open andthere was a fan in the room. Our evening were pleasantly cool.Exactly what we expected based on other reviews. Would definatelystay here again.

Review 38：my friend and i booked a twin room as we had travelled to sneek to see a band - ufo - and from the moment we arrived the guy running the hotel - martin - could not do enough for us - he had a great sense of humour and more importantly a great sense of direction as he helped us get around!! also as we had a late night to say the least he rang us up and said although breakfast had finished did we want him to save us some - you dont get that happening in many places!! we met who i presume to be the owner the next day and he also was a very friendly chap and interested in us as to why we were in sneek - a great stay - its not luxurious buts its not budget either - a great base to explore this lovely small city and surroundings
