Review 1：There was a bit of a smell due to the hotel unfortunately being next to an empty lot of land.

Review 2：The staff were super helpful and were upfront about any issues and how to overcome them :) The price was more than reasonable and food was great!

Review 3：The hotel is extending, and although for a building site it is not noisy, it is still too noisy for a hotel. The mats in the bedrooms were really dirty and when I requested to have them removed, they swapped some of them for other dirty ones, and put ours in our children's room!

Review 4：Lovely pool. Really nice staff, they put us in another room without without any fuss when requested due to noise.

Review 5：There is no escalating facility available. Had to climbed three storeys. Some of the guests are having drinks with visitores in the passage provided access the rooms. Lot of empty beer bottles and excess furniture are lying on the floor .very untidy .many ac units are leaking and water on the parth way. (Top floor ) No telephone facility to room no 26.has not provided tea coffee and the jug to heat the water to room no 25.there was a delay in providing the room even we reached the hotel at 2.00 pm.

Review 7：There was a lot of mould on the ceiling of our room. The whole room smelled of it and there was mould in the closet too. It was a great room but this was a very big con for us.

Review 8：The food in the restaurant was very good! We also liked the swimming pool.

Review 9：The food in the restaurant was not that special (not bad either), better go into town. There is also some building happening, but if that irritates you, just don't go to Sri Lanka, because it's happening anywhere.

Review 10：Although we mostly stayed in guest houses in Sri Lanka, we chose Ceylon Lodge because we needed a swimming pool, which was great, like all facilities as well as the staff. Also, when we came there, the hotel boy carried our luggage to our room and broke my back pack (so that I couldn't carry it anymore). The hotel took care of it and fixed it (perfectly) while we were away sightseeing. Absolutely great!

Review 11：The staff were very helpful and made sure we got our early train ok too!The food was very good - we had a traditional Sri Lankan curry oneevening. This was definitely one of the most vibrant yet safe hotels inthe area; and it had a great pool.

Review 15：RUNNNNNN. DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE. THE HOTEL IT´S NOT FINISHED AND THE 3RD FLOOR HAS ALL THIS METAL BARS HANGING OUT. WITH THE WIND (LIKE HAPPENED TO ME) THE BARS START TO HIT AND YOU CAN´T SLEEP IF YOU´RE THE 2ND FLOOR. THE WORST HOTEL I EVER BEEN.

Review 17：The room had not been cleaned before I arrived. Spilt drinks on the surfaces, dirty floors, hair everywhere and dirty bathroom. There was no meal buffet as advertised nor was there a hair dryer or safe in the room as advertised.

Review 18：The location is good for cycling around the sights. The pool was nice and the staff were helpful.

Review 19：Power cuts several times throughout the night. Aircon switched off every time so was basically unusable. Staff inflexible and not too helpful

Review 23：- Not so great location. A little out of town, without the usual advantages to go with it. No scenic view, or nice nature surrounding. - Lack of privacy on the balcony. It is over the inner court facing the reception and the pool. - Hardly any wifi signal in the room. - CASH ONLY! I did not read the fine print... Hotels in SL prefer cash, but I still had to see one who did not even have the infrastructure for credit card payment. Even small family run guest houses did. After three days there with dinner, I didn't have enough cash on me since I don't like travelling around with tons of cash. At least they took me to the ATM in town by tuk tuk for free. Unfortunately the extra fees my bank charges for cash withdrawal abroad were not... No credit card payment is ok for small budget accommodation, but in this price range this just looks cheap, which is not compatible with the image the hotel tries to project.

Review 26：The staff were friendly and allowed us to check out after our early morning safari. They also prepared us breakfast packets. The bed was really big and confortable.

Review 28：The comfort of the room. The kitchen. The pool, the nice shower after travelling a lot. An immediate bicycle rent from the hotel made us possible to explore the city quickly in a nice way. But most of all, the warm hospitality and the very human way of management of the hotel. Both from the manager towards the staff, but also from manager and staff towards the guests. As I landed unexpected in the hospital, my partner and I were really touched by the respectful and honest way they´ve been treating us. Like if we where part of the family.
