Reviews for Fattoria La Principina Hotel
Review 1:The staff didn't support us with a problem with air condition. The room was so iced. At the end we switch off the general switch from main control panel during our visit because any person of the staff resolved the problem.
Review 2:Almost all
Review 3:Generally there was very little tourist advice available but we were pretty independent and resourceful, so this was not a real problem. As it was early in the season the swimming pools were not available and there were some restrictions in catering choices.
Review 4:Quiet location and relaxing atmosphere with the added excitement of the Giro d'Italia cycle race. Despite suddenly becoming extremely busy for 48 hours the staff coped admirably.
Review 5:Breakfast was poor, all industrial food from the juice to the cheese and sweet pastries which is a bit sad considering the name of the hotel( the fruits available were not even riped). When we arrive, the baby cot for our daughter was not ready even though it was requested and they charge you 10 euros a night for it ( the only hotel to do that during our holidays) and on top of that we had the bad luck to have a dirty toilet in our room on arrival.the receptionist was nice enough to change our room but it still gives you a bad impression. Note that the indoor swimming pool, sauna etc are on extras. Last, the bathroom was small and not convenient. Sink too big , broken tile on the bath tub and the shower head not practical at all with temperature changing suddenly. Definitly not worth the price considering I paid less after that in a 4 star boutique hotel during the weekend in the center of Florence.
Review 6:The swimming pool was the best quality of this hotel even though that could also be balanced by the fact they are army airplanes flying in the zone.
Review 7:Our rooms patio faced onto a cement walkway with a metal grate. However, we did not spend much time in our room, and thought the entire hotel was a great value for the money.
Review 8:We loved the food and the facility. The room was modestly furnished, but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. The patio areas around the facility were beautiful.
Review 9:The location, but that wasn't the hotel's fault...they were clear on where it was. The facilities themselves were a bit run down, and I don't think it deserved the 4 star rating. The breakfast buffet was very low quality for Italian standards. They wouldn't give us extra towels..and when I saved one and put it on the balcony to dry, they knocked off all of my other things and didn't put them back just to get to it, i.e. swimsuits, other towels, etc. Practically no hot water, hair dryer didn't work, wifi was spotty...and they turned our ac off after the first night forcing us to sleep with the doors of the balcony open.
Review 10:The pool was a big hit for my my son, but dont forget your swim caps. The rooms had nice balconies and were clean.
Review 11:Very basic food - more like a canteen- so we didn't eat lunch or dinner at hotel more than once. The hotel is set up to cater for large groups, so depending on your requirements this could be a good or bad thing. You definitely need a car, as it's a long way from anywhere.
Review 12:rooms large with balcony, quiet, good bathroom, hot water, excellent large swimming pool, helpful staff when we needed some assistance in setting up a picnic, very pleasant gardens and walking areas which were well cared for with grass cut.
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Fantastic place to stay, close to everything, sea, city, country side of tuscany. Wonderful personnel and locatieontwikkelaar.
Review 15:Bed was too hard and separated in the middle. Not comfortable
Review 16:Location, breakfast, dinner was reallt good Good price as well
Review 17:None
Review 18:Service and evening meal.
Review 19:Courtesy, cleanliness, landscapes
Review 20:None of the staff spoke English
Review 21:Attention to detail Quality staff Beautiful surroundings Delicious food Great pool
Review 22:Extra high additional price for use of leisure facilities on site. Totally overpriced. Went for a run instead!
Review 23:Meals were good and well priced. Staff attentive and friendly Good email connection sorted for us by Reception staff
Review 24:There was no carpet. We get a different room as it was in the pictures. The hotel is near a military airport with jet fighters and these were loud.
Review 25:The receptionists were helpful and nice. The room had a really big terrace with nice view of the fields. Near the hotel was a fantastic restaurant (OZ).
Review 26:Coffee machines were broken - the only one worked had a large queue - the last day it was also broken Rooms were cleaned only once in two days and the quality of cleaning was average One of the wardrobes in the room was locked and the stuff couldn't help me to open it in a week
Review 27:Large free parking Nice green territory Cool warm and clean pool (but you need to buy swimming caps to swim in the pool - they can be bought on reception for 2 euros) Grosseto and beaches of Marina di Grosseto are in 5 minutes by car - some beach are with free wifi - try to ask if they have it before paying 20 euro for the whole day All tuscan great cities are nearby - the great place to start you discoveries
Review 28:Location (far from anything), hotel in the middle of a field, airport next to the hotel.
Review 29:Clean, good breakfast. Good for business meetings and sport teams.
Review 30:Most suitable for families with small children, they were most of the guests. This made the hotel really busy and noisy with, for example, a late night treasure hunt through the hotel. Breakfast was chaotic.
Review 31:Central location, not far from the coast, town and counrtyside. Comfortable, clean rooms, nice bar area. Lots of parking. No towels for the swimming pool.
Review 32:Our room 155 looks onto parking where big generators are so at time quite noisy.
Review 33:Good location, great amenities. Wish I had more time to explore and enjoy this venue to the full.
Review 34:Staff was friendly, though sometimes not good informed; from time to time you could hear planes flying around; breakfast: mostly cheap supermarket products, instant coffee :(.
Review 35:The hotel has some weak points but we generally enjoyed our stay there. Staff was friendly, rooms nice decorated, big terrace in our room and swimming pool are advantages of this hotel. Good location.
Review 36:We stopped at a wrong moment. The hotel was full of tourist groups, witha lot of noisy and dirty people. Restaurant for dinner was overcrowdedand unable to host guests at 21:30, and the "includedbreakfast" in the morning at 09:00 was nonexistent: there wasnothing to eat than a bad coffee and a swollen croissant probably bakedone week before... The staff was totally overwhelmed. We do hope it willbe better next time!
