Reviews for Hotel Associa Shizuoka

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Location is excellent! Although we had stayed only a night but the room was comfy and cosy. So far the best stay we had in our trip. Will come back again

Review 3:- The breakfast was extremely overpriced and it wasn't that good. Few options to choose from and indeed for less than half of the price I could have a better breakfast in the restaurant outside the hotel. Don't recommend it.

Review 4:This is the second time I stayed at Associa Shizuoka and I would definitely recommend this hotel specially if you book well in advance as I did. This way you can pay less for the room chosen. - My room was a standard single and I was expecting it could be a little bigger but it was ok. - You will receive a key to go to your room and without it you can't have access to your floor, because you will have to "touch" it in the elevator to have access to your floor. - The location is wonderful basically within the station where you can find many restaurants and convenience stores.

Review 5:CNN always voiced over in Japanese (not the adverts!) - other hotels with CNN don't have this. 2000 Yen for breakfast seemed excessive, so I didn't bother.

Review 6:Very comfortable, room well-equipped. Unfortunately only a smoking room was available, but the room didn't smell bad.

Review 7:During my stay the price was reasonable, but it was a special price. What about other dates? Another problem was too low temperature of water. When I took shower, water was only warm.

Review 8:Very convenient location, just at the station, clean room, good internet.

Review 9:Breakfast was mediocre, limited supply of food, and only seemed topped up at request. Both Japanese and western options were uninspiring. Also very crowded (poor layout) was inferior to breakfast at less expensive hotels in Japan.

Review 10:Comfy bed. Very clean.

Review 11:The standard room 'double bed' IS standard in Japan, but it's small. The 'spa' area is beautiful and very comfortable, but there is no onsen, and the 'sauna' is NOT a sauna, it is a steam room. Putting rocks in a steam room does not turn it into a sauna.

Review 12:Excellent and knowledgeable, intelligent staff at a hotel that is right next to the station.

Review 13:The restaurants inside the hotel are very expensive.

Review 14:Good location and much cheaper restaurants at the very close station. Good location to reach mount Fuji.

Review 15:Right beside train station so easy walk when you arrive and leave. Especially when traveling from Narita using fast train. Room prices very good for the quality of the hotel. English speaking staff, very helpful. Would stay here every time I visit Shizuoka

Review 16:The staff was very friendly and the room was of excellent quality!

Review 17:Cleanliness, accessibility

Review 18:great location

Review 19:n/a

Review 20:The location is really good for JR travel. Hotel is nearby JR station but Hotel won't hear train noise at all.

Review 21:Excellent location. Wonderful staff.

Review 22:Great location, great breakfast and room

Review 23:Location and comfort

Review 24:lack of facilities (gym, pool...). very expensive breakfest.

Review 25:close to the train

Review 26:Room looks larger than other hotels which I stay at Japan. Easy to JR station Shizuoka. Near by shopping mall and lots of restaurants.

Review 27:Great location walking distance to JR shizuoka station Close to shopping mall and restaurants.

Review 28:as most Chinese don't know japanese, most Japanese.don't know Chinese.

Review 29:Staff couldn't speak English very well

Review 30:Location, bed, breakfast

Review 31:Room is tiny, but I guess that is something common in Japan!

Review 32:Room immaculate, staff very polite and helpful.

Review 33:Nothing special here.

Review 34:Great location and a nice hotel.

Review 35:Musty (smoky) smell in room (though they did have some humidifier/ioniser type gadget which probably could have rectified this). Restaurants are very expensive as expected from a big hotel so don't plan on eating there. Breakfast buffet is nice, though, and costs about 2,000 yen. I was on a budget so tended to go to Starbucks at the station for a really nice coffee instead.

Review 36:This is a really nice hotel, with service to match, right next to the station. Staff were very helpful and allowed me to check in a little early on request as they could see I was exhausted after flying from UK. Requested non-smoking room, but there was real smell of smoke but they moved me straight away and I was lucky enough to get moved to a much larger twin room.

Review 37:Parking is a litle bit expensive.

Review 38:A very good hotel for the price, breakfast buffet is great quality, a litle bit pricey, but justified. The room was very confortable, quiet, just perfect for a relaxing stay.

Review 39:- small rooms - although designated as non-smoking rooms both rooms we had booked smelled of cigarette smoke

Review 40:- superb location - friendly staff - some English spoken

Review 41:The internet service was not functioning

Review 42:Large rooms vs. the typical Japanese hotel Excellent breakfast buffet Modern styling Very functional room View of Mt. Fuji Excellent, professional staff

Review 43:Clean! Kind staff! and very helpful! .. the hotel is right next to the station which is very useful for travellers like me. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and again!

Review 44:thought it was a bit overpriced but i stayed during Golden Week, everyhting gets more expensive then

Review 45:the location was great

Review 46:The check in time is flexible, it is very helpfull.

Review 47:All good.

Review 48:Super spot, staff excellent just what you want. Opposite the station and the Art museum.Nice bar with snack food. Will def use again.

Review 49:Not enough English channels on TV.

Review 50:A very good hotel for business persons as its right beside the train and close to shops and restaurants.

Review 51:everyone at the hotel was so friendly and accomodating. i enjoyed my stay a lot.

Review 52:Nothing much to say here.

Review 53:Excellent location. Very clean. Good breakfast.

Review 54:Everything was perfect. I was sorry to leave.

Review 55:Absolutely clean with quiet rooms. Right next to Shizuoka Station. Really competent, friendly staff.

Review 56:Location is excellent! Room is clean and staffs are helpful. Recommended!

Review 57:Room 1225 a corner was excellent with a view of Mt Fuji. A gym would help! Miss Kubota was very helpful and friendly...
