Reviews for Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Premier
Review 1:Room layout is cleverly designed, although a little small. We stayed in a twin room. The hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful location of the city. The hotel is a bit far from the Osaka station. But the shuttle bus is excellent, very convenient and on time.
Review 2:Would like to have been able to use the lounge on the 16th floor as my room was very clean and comfortable but small. Using lounge would have allowed my son and I to have more personal space. I would recommend hotel for location, spa facility and shuttle service from/to Osaka station. I cannot comment on restaurant as I did not use but we did enjoy complimentary water bottles and coffee in room.
Review 3:The spa was excellent, highly recommend.
Review 4:For tourist, we found the position a little far away from main attractions in Osaka. However this was not a real problem as you are still within 15-30 minutes by subway to main areas.
Review 5:The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the spa facilities. Breakfast was of a large variety and delicious.
Review 6:Can't fault this great hotel!
Review 7:Great location, over looking the river. Fantastic pubic bath facility, really superb Japanese breakfast. Really loved the hotel, beautiful timber floor in the small but immaculate room. Will come back again!
Review 8:Room was small no space for luggage. No need for large desk in the room as it took up valuable space. No Lounge for male guests. Thus was unable to relax with a drink at the end of the day. Rivière lounge needs to neoprene up to all guests. No room service. Buffet breakfast did not have a lot of choice for non Asian guest. Public bath did not have a sauna or steam room.
Review 9:Shuttle bus from Osaka Station was good. Hotel was in a good Location. Close to subway but in a quiet area of town. Room was clean.
Review 10:Being an island the metro is slightly awkward to access and appears faster to take the metro from Higobashi or Yodoyabashi
Review 11:Located next to Bank of Japan, National Performing Festival Hall, National Art Gallery and National Science Gallery. Based on an island in the middle of Osaka, this is a quieter area of high class restaurants. There is a corner store 30 seconds away who will heat your takeaway meal, if you feel like something different. 15 minutes walk to the 2 kilometer long shopping distict, Shin Sai Bashi Suji. Very traditional bathroom, sit down to shower before having a bath. The bathing, spa on the top floor is worthwhile. Also try a traditional Japanese massage, for which you must wear the hotel pyjamas. A skilled massage by someone who walks down your back, really sorts out sore muscles from a long distance flight. Also Kobe and Mt Rokko are less than 30 minutes away by metro and regional train which accept most travel cards SUICA etc.
Review 12:1) Standard Double Room has no view at all (it has a small non-transparent glass which cannot be fully open), we end up paying extra during check-in to upgrade to a room (exactly the same size) with transparent glass windows 2) Location is a bit off and surrounded by mostly office building 3) Shuttle bus is very small and get full very quickly, once we were last in the queue outside OSAKA station and the driver ask us to wait for next bus (which is 30 min later), we end up walking back to the hotel instead. Last service stop at 21:40
Review 13:1) Room is small but clean and functioning 2) Walking distance from/to OSAKA station (15-20 min)
Review 14:Transit in Osaka for one night only, and found hotel to be in good location, very clean and helpful staff. best part was Spa on top floor, very relaxing after long day.
Review 15:Breakfast was a letdown, not worth the 1500 yen. Also,if you book thru booking.com it's impossible to make any modifications to your reservation. Next time I'd consider booking directly.
Review 16:Room spacious for Japanese standards, clean and comfortable. Also have an outdoor jacuzzi (free) in their spa area , really nice!
Review 17:Internet connectivity was challenging and only worked on half of my devices which was disappointing - its a pretty basic thing in modern hotels. The hotel was listed with a 16th floor lounge which I assumed was a bar type lounge serving drinks and maybe small food dishes but indeed was just a place to sit with no staff. Perhaps my fault for not researching more but disappointing regardless.
Review 18:Nice room. Nice hotel. Very nice staff.
Review 19:Outstanding services, clean room, great breakfast buffet. Location is not too bad, 5 mins walk to subway and 5 mins taxi to Osaka station. Hotel also provides shuttle bus seivice to and from Osaka station. We were very satisfied so later we also booked Mitsui hotel in Kyoto. 服务一流,房间整洁,早饭丰富。地点还可以,步行五分钟到地铁,打车五分钟到大阪站,酒店还有往返大阪站的摆渡车。因为对三井的酒店非常满意,我们后来又订了京都的三井酒店。
Review 20:Free Shuttle bus to hotel from Osaka JR station was a bonus.Close to Osaka Art Gallery & Science Museum & cross the river to find local bars & restaurants. .Good email communication in English regarding transport from Airport to hotel after booking . Worth paying extra for a non frosted window for the city view.
Review 21:The pillows and bed were a littleuncomfortable.
Review 22:Beautiful hotel and an amazing location!! 5 minute train ride to Namba station (Dotonbori) and hotel is next to a Starbucks. The free shuttle to Osaka station was great. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 23:Breakfast not included in our price. A bit high compared with other hotels.
Review 24:Staff. Located 3 blocks away from the subway. Hotel view is nice next to the river.
Review 25:More international TV networks would make the things perfect!
Review 26:High quality equipments, clean, kindness of staff, spa open up to 1:00 AM, excellent connection to subway, convinient schuttle for the main Osaka station.
Review 27:A bit expensive. So only book when there is genius promotion is recommended.
Review 28:a wonderful room with good view and can even saw the big moon rising up. The shuttle bus is really appreciated, especially when first arrived with luggage. It is not difficult to find the shuttle bus stop in Osaka Station. Just follow the Sakurabashi exit, cross the road and then the shuttle bus stop with a big signboard could be seen. Also only five minutes walk from the hotel to Higobashi station. Very convenient. The room is really comfortable with modern design. The spa and private lounge facilities on 16th floor are also wonderful. Will use the hotel again when visit Osaka next time.
Review 29:Fantastic place. Courtesy bus from hotel to station and back ran like clockwork. Extremely convenient. Fantastic breakfast best I had in Japan. Awesome view from our room and really reasonably priced. Extremely good staff and they made sure we were aware of facilities and bus time table.
Review 30:Location is a bit far from Osaka Station. Shuttle Bus services stops at 21:40. Kind of inconvenient if you bring large luggage because the Shuttle Bus fits only to 20 seats. I suggest the hotel to improve the service by adding it's frequency and provide a bigger bus. There is also a curfew beyond midnight, so make sure you bring your room key to enter the hotel.
Review 31:The interior design of this particular hotel was truly amazing. I love the separate toilet from the bathroom inside the room. Staffs were always smiling and nice, ready to offer help when needed. Availability of Public Baths and Shuttle Bus services is a plus point! Moreover, it is value for money.
Review 32:I have nothing bad to say!
Review 33:This was a beautiful hotel. Clean, good floor layout. The spa on the top level is a wonderful way to relax after a long day! Free shuttle bus to and from the hotel to Osaka Station was excellent! Best buffet breakfast in Japan!
Review 34:The hotel we booked is called Mitsui Garden Hotel Premier. The taxi driver took me to Mitsui Garden Hotel Yodoyabashi. I had to take another taxi ride to go to Premier. I am quite sure I am not the only customer who encountered this as the Yodoyabashi staff has a map to show how to go to Premier from Yodoyabashi.
Review 35:The hotel is well maintained and very comfortable. It has CNN channel too!
Review 36:We stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shijo and were impressed they offered a massage chair parlor and free drinks to all their guests in their lounge, but the Mitsui Garden Osaka Premiere does not have a massage chair parlor and only has a VIP lounge for guests staying in the top 2 floors to get free drinks and sit around. It'd be nice if that was offered to all guests. Otherwise, the public sauna was the same and we loved our stay at the Osaka Premiere.
Review 37:I loved the fact that the hotel offered shuttle service to and from the Osaka station. It was so handy and saved us a lot of money since we preferred to rely on the JR lines over the subway lines. BUT we also loved that both the Higobashi Station and Watanabebashi Station were a couple minute walking distances from the station as the shuttle service ended at 10pm and sometimes we'd be wandering around Osaka later than that. If you needed any convenient stores, they'd be around those two stations. The location was really great, just across the Osaka Science Museum and Osaka National Museum of Art. Yes, it's a bit more in a business district, but we preferred it this way. The rooms were much spacier and cleaner here than the rooms in Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shijo. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived with waay too much luggage to handle and the shuttle bus drivers are all super nice and helpful.
Review 38:location is not very good and shuttle service should extend beyond 9:40pm. We have to tight control our time for sightseeing to ensure we were able to catch the last shuttle service back to the hotel. Another minor issue was the room is not as big as what I saw on the photos. We had problems of moving around in the room.
Review 39:This is lovely hotel with high standard of hygiene. Housekeeper change our beds sheet everyday. we had a very good sleep in a comfort bed.
Review 40:I feel silly saying this, but I didn't like the pillow.
Review 41:The staff was helpful. I can only speak English and there was a little bit of a language barrier but at the end of it all everything I needed with directions etc. was answered. Thank you.
Review 42:Something bit me in the bed during the morning and caused me wake up. Then I requested to change my room, but the staff's English skill is too poor, she could not understand my request.
Review 43:Slightly far from the train station... there is no shop or restaurant near the hotel...
Review 44:Value for money and Good customer service... spacious room and toliet... you dont need to send in your clothes for laundry service... there is a washing machine located at the top floor(way much cheaper to wash it yourself)...
Review 45:Loved the Japanese communal bath, ladies and men separate. The shuttle bus into the train station and back to the hotel, good restaurants around both inexpensive and smart. Comfortable bed for Australians and beautiful vista from room.
Review 46:They base on 2 addresses but didn't mention about that on booking site. And when we arrived, we had to walk to the older one and it was not so close. Didn't provide the room which we'd booked. For that amount of money, we were looking forward for a bigger room.
Review 47:Staff's manners were friendly and nice. The place was cozy.
Review 48:the room is clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. It's good that the bathroom is separate from the toilet. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Review 49:Great location. Room was small (I don't know what Japanese standard is) but they had found a way to provide everything that one could expect to find and done more! We had a room with a city view and it was gorgeoys
Review 50:Well, the room was too small for us compared to the hotel in Kyoto .
Review 51:I really like the service of the hotel , it was really nice and warm to answer our questions .
Review 52:There's not much to see around the hotel.
Review 53:The room is one of the most comfortable that I've ever stayed in. Like everything in the room and hotel including the garden spa which relaxed me a lot. Shuttle bus between hotel and JR Osaka station is convenient for guests as well.
Review 54:On arrival we got upgraded to the deluxe double and it was a lovely room. We got access to the private lounge on the top floor which was a nice touch. Room was big and had a nice view of Osaka.
Review 55:I didn't like that there was not a residents bar. We arrived quite late and it would have been nice to relax in a lounge area or bar but reception did recommend a lovely bar quite nearby which was lovely.
Review 56:I loved the room, so clean and very comfortable. The free shuttle service was very handy too.
Review 57:Location is perfect, in between two rivers which provides nice views in the hotel and walks when outside, Close to the Osaka station and quick subway ride from namba !
Review 58:The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The location is great and there is a free shuttle bus to and from Osaka station. The view from the room is just FANTASTIC!
Review 59:In the weekends it's hard to find accomodation, we had to change our. Breakfast is expensive.
Review 60:Really close to Kyoto station, easy to find and good position for public transports too. Very big structure with plenty of rooms, best cleanlyness. Occidental style rooms with large accomodation and Japanese style bath.
Review 61:Strange film on my window to mask the view, who knows why, not shown on booking, but didn't matter. No fridge.
Review 62:This is a great hotel in all ways. I was u sure, thinking the rooms were too small. But they were lovely, well laid out, very clean, Swedish style wooden floor. Location v good, 2 mins to the new Keihan line for Kyobashi (great web of v local restaurans behind Kyobashi station) linking to loop line. Convenience store in the tower block opposite, nice bath area, good breakfast, v nice staff. Will use it lots now.
Review 63:Let me compare to the Swissotel where I stayed 10 days before staying here: * not a practical location * relatively small room * breakfast featured almost cold bacon and cold baked potatoes
Review 64:* what you get is good. * nice shared hot bath
Review 65:Comfortable hotel with a shuttle to Osaka Station great for shopping wonderfull department stores with fab. food floors. Great restaurants as well around the station. We often walked to and from the station about a 15- 20 Malik from the hotel
Review 66:The first room we were assigned was right near the elevator, which was a bit noisy. Unfortunately the double rooms are all near the elevator, but moving over one helped to keep the noise down. The lower floor rooms don't have a good view but the glass is frosted anyway. The towels were thin, and they didn't have extra towels in the onsen, but that seems to be a universal thing in Japan.
Review 67:The room was spacious by Japanese standards, with a great shower room. The yukata and slippers were nice and comfortable. The onsen on the top floor was very bright and airy. The breakfast was great; lots of Japanese choice as well as some european options. The location was ideal for me as it was near my conference, but it might be a boring place for others. The island it is on has a beautiful rose garden at one end, though, and the avenue along the river has interesting sculptures.
Review 68:location is limited and no shuttle bus between 12h-14h. It should be nonstop during day time if the location is not convenient
Review 69:clean and good facilities
Review 70:Room was too small, the windows in the room were frosted and so with no view, made the room feel even more claustrophobic, despite having asked for a room with a view 6 months in advance. The hotel was strict in only allowing check in from 3pm.
Review 71:Nicely furnished room, the onsen was amazing. Great location for getting around Osaka on the train.
Review 72:Staff are not up to the standard you expect from Japan. Quite cold and unfriendly, didn't even offer to take out bags up to the room, just dumped them at our feet. Tried to make us pay for an extra night to check in an hour early, even with the room ready.
Review 73:Spa area is excellent.
Review 74:One may get a little lost as hotel is not located on the main road.
Review 75:1) frequent Complimentary shuttle service to Osaka station 2) thoughtful access points for charging
Review 76:The room we were given was adjacent to the vending machine and where people get ice. It would be noisy when people go to get ice. We had no view from the window because glass was frosted.
Review 77:The room was very clean and modern. I also enjoyed using the onsen.
Review 78:Not good location for the subway.
Review 79:Good SPA on the top of the hotel. Good to enjoy SPA after long walking in the whole day or my marathon run. Should take its bus shuttle from hotel to station. Can easily take food or stuffs in the nearby OK or 7-11 shops.
Review 80:The room was very small, where we didn't have much space to even put our luggage anywhere and open up. However, I can see why, because the layout of the room is planned out and executed very well, where everything you need can slide out conveniently.
Review 81:Awesome public bath at the top floor. Fantastic amenities in the room. Very quiet neighborhood.
Review 82:Staff hardly speaks English, and for this reason doesn't understandall special requests...Double room is a half man room or a dwarf room.Absolutely no space for two people. Pillows are very hard. If you askfor another pillow, they say "sorry, we don't have any"and then bring you a new one, which is still not perfect. Blanket wastoo warm. We ask for another one and got two blankets without linen andwith black hair on it!!! During check-out no one asked us whether weenjoyed the stay...We did not at all!!! Btw, the restaurant is only forJapanese people, not for tourists! One more thing - you have to pay thewhole invoice directly during the check-in. I don't know any otherhotels in the world that have the same payment system.
Review 83:Shower has enough space :)
Review 84:good location, 5-6 minutes walk to metro station, and with shuttle bus connected to Osaka station cozy and comfortable room. It is a good hotel to stay!
Review 85:It was a short subway ride to the attractions but doable.
Review 86:The roof top baths were great, we went when they opened at 3pm and had them all to ourselves for an hour. Fantastic way to relax.
Review 87:Room was NOTHING like pictured online! Looked good in picture but the room I was allocated was entirely different to what I'd booked. Furniture in bad worn out condition. Room size awkwardly small. Bell boy man very rude
Review 88:The shuttle to station
Review 89:The only thing we struggled with which isn't uncommon in Japan was the room size, with two people and a fair amount of luggage it was a little small, otherwise fantastic thanks..breakfast could have been included in price but was good value anyway
Review 90:Everything was great especially having access to the Japanese bathing on 16th floor.
Review 91:Wi fi at this hotel is aweful, worse then dial up. Also, the location is not great if you want to be anywhere near the heart of Osaka.
Review 92:Nice hotel and lovely staff.
Review 93:Location wasn't as good as expected, although the upside was that it was in a quiet area.
Review 94:Room was very pleasant, onsen was very clean and relaxing
Review 95:No convenience store nearby, room space is too small with this price, the so-called public spa is no more than a common bathroom, the staff is not very helpful and is not worth the price!
Review 96:Almost none!
Review 97:nothing (spa could have longer opening hours, so i could have enjoyed it even more ;) )
Review 98:Stylish and comfortable room, the spa!!!, friendly and helpful staff, good amenities
Review 99:Not that close to anything but that's ok cause you just take the shuttle bus to Osaka station and it's all there. It's only a small bus so be there early else you might miss out
Review 100:Shuttle bus very useful.
Review 101:Hard pillow, I asked for a soft one, but they did not have it. After a long trip, I asked to check in at arrival, 12:00h, but receptionist required me and extra charge ¥8000. Finally, they accepted us at 13:30h without extra charge
Review 102:Spa, room view to the river and skyline, cleanliness, mattres
Review 103:The room is quite small andvghevrestaurant only offers Japanese style breakfast.
Review 104:Good location. Few mins walk to the subway. About 15 mins walk to Osaka station. Very helpful staff.
Review 105:(1) shuttle bus a bit crowded . Luggage may be stored away on the seats. (2) should give wifi password while check in (3) nice spa but lack of swimming pool. Not a family hotel. (4) Room a bit too small.
Review 106:Comfortable full size bed. Very clean every where. Nice TV.. Effective air conditioning .
Review 107:The room was organized very neatly and conveniently. Although it is not very big they have made very good use of the space so that it provides all that you need.
Review 108:a bit too expensive regarding the location, facilities..but maybe is ok for Osaka.
Review 109:facilities are new and clean. walk distance to the metro, free shuttle from Hotel to Osaka station. 10 minutes walk to local supermarket.
Review 110:I had noticed a piece of paper left in my room with someone else's handwriting (a travel itinerary)! I can only guess it's the cleaning staff who took it from another room but left in in mine (and that's probably the best scenario!)
Review 111:hotel facilities were very nice, especially the hot tub! convenient location and friendly staff
Review 112:Nothing.
Review 113:Great having a courtesy bus from Osaka Station to the Hotel. Also within an easy walk to to Osaka station area (without luggage). Lovely garden spa. Pleasant view of river from room.
Review 114:Nothing too annoying except don't expect the staffs to be as nice as you regularly encounter in Japan. Service at the breakfast time needs improvement since food is very often empty yet no replacement is provided immediately. There are at least a few occasions that the customers have to ask for it.
Review 115:The location is not bad...very quiet but not in walking distance to the major shopping district and there is not much around the hotel. You will have the shuttle to JR Osaka which is good but it is quite full every time even I am travelling in low season. The room is very comfortable.
Review 116:No information services in the hotel. It is hard to get any informationfrom the reciption google maps was enough for me though. The bellow isnot comfortable. Breakfast is limited with options not of bastery andcheese. But overall I like it very much
Review 117:Location is good near subway stations. Osaka station is just 15 minuteswalk and there is shuttle bus to take you osaka station. To me the placelocation was very convienent to access the city. There is another hotelwith the same name nearby just make sure you have the address with youif you need a taxi. Osaka science muesum is a 3 minutes walk from ahotel. There is also two 24 hours convience store nearby about 10minutes walk from the hotel. The room size is excellent I had the twobed room ( I recommend to take the two seperate bed since it is largerin size) I had enough room for two large suit cases. Room cleaningservices is excellent. The hotel is brand new.
Review 118:Rooms were very small. Couldn't go in public bath with my tattoos.
Review 119:Staff was wonderful. They spoke good English, and were very helpful with directions.
Review 120:Room was sizable for Japan standards, staff were very helpful in giving directions and information. Absolutely loved the Garden Spa, unfortunately we misread the opening timings of the Spa and only managed to visit it once! Location of hotel is rather central, albeit it takes approximately a 7-10 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Nevertheless, the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from Osaka Station, on a rather frequent schedule.
Review 121:location is difficult to access everything in Osaka if you are tourist, breakfast provide mainly Japanese breakfast with very limited international options.
Review 122:the bed matters is very comfortable, they provide everything you need in the room
Review 123:We liked the location with view over the river and access to station by shuttle bus. We also could walk to many places of interest. Enjoyed the spa on 16th floor
Review 124:Rooms not sound proof, noises along corridor is disturbing at times. Room looks more like a studio rather than hotel room. Room temperature is temperamental. In room dinning not available.
Review 125:Shuttle service stop is less than 10mins walk to airport lumosine (coach)
Review 126:Super clean and comfortable!! Location is fine, with a free shuttle bus to and from Osaka station. Allso hotel is 3-5 minutes walk from subway stations.
Review 127:Small, hard japanese style pillows. While we love the quiet neighborhood, cabs are hard to come by in the very early morning, could be a problem if you have to catch an early flight.
Review 128:Beautiful lobby and front desk, very clean rooms and bathroom. The room is big by Japanese standard, comfortable beds. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from Osaka Station is very convenient.
Review 129:Liked the stylish room, enough space for one person, maybe a bit small for two (but still good compared to other hotels in Japan). Great view over the river (Attention: Not all rooms provide view). Very nice Japanese restaurant with delicious food, good service, reasonable prices. Relaxing Japanese style spa - loved it as much as the extensive buffet style breakfast. At our arrival: Shuttle bus service from Umeda Station to the hotel was very convenient. Next time in Osaka, I will definitely book this hotel again!
Review 130:Room was a little small but otherwise very pleasant. It would have been nice to have some body lotion in the room. It was provided in the onsen.
Review 131:Clean and fresh with a good location near Osaka railway station and nice city views. Nice clean onsen with pebble garden with 1 tree. Nice garden at front entrance. Staff very helpful and obliging. Free shuttle bus service to & from Osaka railway station
