Reviews for Cityroute Hotel
Review 1:Paper thin walls! You can hear everything that's going on in the rooms next to you and sometimes even under you. I wasn't sure if it was the bathtub, the shower curtains, or both, but there was an unpleasant smell coming from them.
Review 2:The directions to the hotel were spot on! So I didn't have a very hard time finding it. Front desk staff speak English so there was no communication issues. Almost everything was available in the room.
Review 3:Staff at reception could further improve English ability to facilitate communication with foreign visitors. The room, esp bathroom, was a bit small, esp for men.
Review 4:- The lady responsible for house keeping (on 4/f) is super helpful, polite and kind :)
Review 5:Nice to have the facility of a twin room and a bit of space in the room . Nothing wrong with the hotel but it is not in the main tourist area so you need to walk a bit further or take a taxi but it was at a good price .
Review 6:the bathroom is so narrow but is normal of japanese's room
Review 7:the room is so clean and near subway by walk about 5 mins. in a room has many comfortable things.
Review 8:The rest room was small, a guy taller than 1.85 meter will not be able to enter in it The staff did not advise me in advance that they were fixing the escalator in that days so: some noise and bad smell Impossible to sleep before 2 am cause some people were making noise at that time
Review 9:Ideal location, 10 min by feet to the heart of the city. Many important public transportation (subway lines, intercities train, buses). Smart and helpful staff.
Review 10:The room was very dated and due a refurb. When we moved the de-humidifier, a large pile of dust was on the floor. The room could have been cleaned better.
Review 11:The price was excellent, however this was reflected in the quality of the room. Wifi was not too bad however. Staff were friendly.
Review 12:Lack of temperature controlled air conditioning. I like my room cold but the only selection was hot. At least I could open my window to let a cool breeze in.
Review 13:Quiet, comfortable and clean. Thumbs up for having two pillows on the bed instead of the usual one.
Review 14:it's quite a bit of walk if you are coming from the midosuji line
Review 15:friendly staff. there are lots of food choices within walking distance and a convenient store right around the corner.
Review 16:Even with a caucasian look staff, but her english also not very good. But this is not the big issue. Subway station are very far from hotel.
Review 17:I like the hotel room. Clean & comfortable
Review 18:The bathroom is too small but tolerable. Tall people will not fit inside. Glad that we are short and petite.
Review 19:Our family like the Japanese style room. Pillows were not soft so we had to cover it with blanket. Beds and pillows were clean. They have ionizer inside the room which we liked. Internet was so fast and its free. Staff were all courteous, accommodating, helpful. English was not a problem. The location is very good. Lots of walking but its in the middle of two train stations.
Review 20:Paper thin walls, you can hear other people if they speak loudly. The hotel is a bit far from the main exit of the metro (you have to walk 10 minutes under ground to reach the best exit).
Review 21:Nothing I didn't like about the hotel itself, but if you take the red subway line (that goes to Namba and the main train stations) from the closest station, it takes about 15 minutes to walk between the platform and the hotel.
Review 22:Decent breakfast with both japanese and western dishes, the room is big in comparision to other business hotels
Review 23:The wi-fi speed is quite low.
Review 24:The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the nearest exit of honmachi station, but if you come from midosuji subway, it will take 10 minutes which is not so far. The room is quite small but it is usual in Japan. The room is clean and comfortable. The price is reasonal!! :)
Review 25:Bathroom is too small for a human, even me (43KG, 1.6m height) also feel that it's too small to get inside to hv a shower, can't close the door, otherswise there's no space to put off/on clothes. The most near/suitable exit is 4 at Honmachi station, it takes 15 mins to walk fast to the hotel. Location is just ok. Overall , it's not worth the price, would prefer to spend more money to choose another one more comfortable.
Review 26:High wifi speed, nice staff
Review 27:The staff were ok but not very nice. The room and the bath room is small.
Review 28:7-11 is just next door. The room was very clean. The wifi is good. It's only 10 minute-walk from the hotel to the train station.
Review 29:the location! it's a bit far from the osaka station, you can have the subway or taxi! it's expensive with the back and forth to the osaka station!
Review 30:the room rate, i did avail the late night check-in ! so affordable from its regular room rate! about 75%i guess!i like their staff in the front desk, they really tried their best in communicating in english!
Review 31:hotel location is far away from the subway station and shinsaibashi. price quite high comparing to other hotel in osaka with the same quality the dehumidifier is useless
Review 32:spacious room there are convenience stores snd restaurants nearby staff is good and friendly
Review 33:Checked in and saw pubic hair on bathroom floor. Very small showerspace. Please google and get the picture for hotel logo because thelarge signage is in japanese, it doesnt show 'city route hotel'untill you are at the doorstep.
Review 34:Near convinience store. Okay for solo traveller.
Review 35:Washroom has urine smell at all the time and has not fan system. Also, room is not that clean either. We have found hairs, bugs and etc. on the Tatami.
Review 36:Stuffs were really friendly.
Review 37:The nearest station was actually very very far away. It would've been easier to take bus from the nearest bus station.Staffs doesn't speak english.
Review 38:Located near a park.
Review 39:I had to deal with 3 staff members and 2 of them couldn't care less about what we needed. No laundry room. Although there is one about a block from the hotel.
Review 40:Close to subway station Good room size
Review 41:Small and dirty room. Uncomfortable bed and a lot of noise during the night. room with Breakfast was horrible! No smoking room smells a lot! If you want to rest and sleep don't chose this hotel. Ubication wasn't good at all. Red line exit 28 was far away from the hotel and u have to walk a lot inside the subway.
Review 42:Wifi
Review 43:Kind staff, good quality of breakfast, Nice room services Thank you for treating my family. I hope this hotel to maintain the quality of services and the prices.
Review 44:However, the bathroom is quite small which makes me feel slightly claustrophobic. They don't offer laundry service but there's a laundry shop nearby.
Review 45:The hotel's location is rather strategic; it's in between Osaka's popular downtowns, Namba and Umeda, so it isn't as crowded and busy. Only 10-minute walk from Hommachi station (Yotsubashi line) and 5 minutes from Awaza station (Chuo line). The staff are professional, friendly and speak good English (at least, the ones who served me at the time). For Muslim guests, this hotel also offers free rental of praying compass and mat. Toiletries are also good and well-stocked. Convenient stores like 7Eleven (next door), Lawson and Family Mart are also a few minutes away.
Review 46:The bathroom was small and the TV remote didn't offer the option to change Japanese dubbing to original language.
Review 47:Good bed, nice breakfast buffet, quite area and good location to commute with train.
Review 48:Paid $60 AUS. Small room and very small bathroom, but functional for one night and no different to any other budget Japanese hotels. Very clean place, friendly and help staff, but no room view (which is fine for $60). Overall, nice place! Would recommend. No complaints.
Review 49:its walking distance to homichi station but when you are inside the station you have to walk really far.
Review 50:near seven eleven just beside the hotel a lot of restaurant nearby the room is clean but its like living in tiny world because the ceiling is not high. But overall i'll be back in this hotel for my next trip
Review 51:Room was fairly dirty and had numerous stains on the floors. Location wise it was a bit tricky to find as their sign is only in Kanji.
Review 52:Bed's were comfy enough. Wi-fi was good and never lost signal. The staff was friendly although didn't speak English fluently, but this wasn't a problem.
Review 53:Just the Hotel is a bit far from Subway and JR station. Not recommend for tourist with train ticket
Review 54:-Considering price for 2 persons stay is reasonable -Clean, nice staff and quiet
