Reviews for B&B Siena In Centro
Review 1:To think of any slightest past of this stay even remotely as "bad experience" is impossible. However, a chair to go with the table (as pictured in the B&B booklet) at which I was working every day would have been welcome.
Review 2:The overall ambience and ease, and the friendly, helpful, real-people owner/staff made me feel at home. It will be a pleasure to recommend the B&B Siena In Centro to others, and a pleasure to return.
Review 3:The wi-fi is only available in the main office building.
Review 4:The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the heart of Siena, very close to the Duomo. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. I met her at the main office and she walked me to the flat where my room was located, which was just a 3 min walk away (The rooms of the hotel are located in different buildings, which for me was not a problem, but is something to consider). I had booked a single room, as I was travelling alone. The room was really nice, had a private bathroom, and even a little garden where to sit outside and have a snack, especially nice during the lovely weather of august. The facilities were clean. The location of the flat was in a quiet little side-street, so I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was quite simple, typical sweet Italian breakfast - a choice of brioche, jam, yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee, juice. I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend the hotel for the excellent location and good facilities.
Review 5:Air conditioning in August would be a bonus. The fan was not adequate . The breakfast basket needs to include items not so sweet.Stairs to our apartment were very steep.I was certainly fitter than when I arrived.
Review 6:The apartment was central to Siena and run by a very efficient family who helped in every way. They kindly arranged a taxi for me on leaving.the price was what you would expect for mid Siena and Ill Palio--- What an event!!!
Review 7:It can get a little noisy, though, being in the city center..
Review 8:The hotel was very close to the main attractions! We loved the high ceiling and the friendly staff.
Review 9:Great location in central Siena. Friendly, family-run business - they were very helpful. Nice room in a beautiful old building - my room overlooked the street. Very quaint, excellent value.
Review 10:Breakfast was nothing to write home about. At least the coffee was good. It got very loud outside as there is a bar closeby. Traffic noise was a problem all night. No AC in the excruciating heat was not fun. Although the room would get cool at night due to its high ceilings.
Review 11:Room was beautiful - high, frescoed ceilings! Central location was great! Wifi worked quite well. Friendly host.
Review 12:The bathroom light was a sensor, if using shower this was no problem, but when using the sink you had to move back and forward to get the lights back on (waving your hand didn't suffice). There was a misunderstanding when I left. The host agreed to book a taxi for my onward travel, but when I returned to collect my case there was no staff member in the office who spoke English to help me and book the taxi as agreed. Make sure you have a phone so you can call them as they are not always in the office / near by to assist. The breakfast was limited if you prefer less sweet foods at breakfast. The choice was pre-packed croissants with sweet fillings / melba toast with jams, some kind of cake (similar to Madeira) and yoghurts. An option of cereal would be a good addition. However, the juice was lovely (fresh squeezed) and you were served the hot drinks you requested.
Review 13:It felt safe, was 2 mins from the main square, I asked to be located near reception and was just across the road. Ornate would describe the room. I was greeted by a friendly helpful lady who spoke great english and was able to assist with finding my feet.
Review 14:Breakfast is quite basic in a very small room. Wifi in the room would be nice, for wifi acces I had to go to the office.
Review 15:Location is perfect, very close to the central square and within the old city walls. Accommodations are ok, don't expect anything special. But certainly good enough for the price asked
Review 16:It was quite a walk from the main office to our room, shower drain was pretty slow
Review 17:Nice-centrally located in Siena, staff were very nice/accommodating
Review 18:High riser heights might make trouble for old people. It might be difficult to climb.
Review 19:Rural architectural atmosphere of the flat was very cosy. Clean and well-designed room. Old and lovely wooden furnitures.
Review 20:So simple BF and little shower area. By the way do not sure for wifi in house but they have in reception area but forget to ask in room wifi.
Review 21:Location and helpful staffs
Review 22:Internet only at reception area in a different location other then the rest of the hotel. Multiple locations of rooms ,breakfast area and reception.
Review 23:Clean Friendly Helpful
Review 24:Room was a bit loud -- louder than our apartment in Firenze -- thanks totraffic noise, the Italian couple in the adjoining room who didn'tseem to be getting along, and the drunken Italian men singing in thestreet in the wee hours. (Another neighbor finally told them to bequiet, with much good humor all around.) We suspect the triple room onthe other side, where the bickering Italian couple stayed, had a betterview and less street noise than our room, which was on the Via Titoside. Book early.
Review 25:Location is very good: close enough to Il Campo and the Duomo for aneasy stroll, but not in the heart of tourist-ville. Staff is friendly.Rooms are fine: perfectly clean, decent beds, small-ish but about whatyou'd expect given the price point. Heating and lighting was good, shower had plenty of hot water and was also clean. Breakfast wasadequate -- packaged pastries, yogurt, and coffee -- but, again, not outof line with the price.
Review 26:Breakfast was very sweet eg. sweet cakes and dry toast rather than fruit One member of staff was a bit sullen, but later became more friendly when I made an effort
Review 27:Beautiful bedroom, mainly very peaceful and quiet, lovely bathroom, fresh towels daily. Very reasonable price in September. Staff offered information about Siena. It was a family run business - 3 generations, so it had a very traditional feeling to the whole place. I would recommend this to anyone planning a change from the normal routine back home. I can't praise the accommodation highly enough.
Review 28:No air on but room was cool. No parking! So a bit of a schlep with luggage - I'd advise take the minimum if just there for a day or two.
Review 29:Inexpensive on Pallio weekend. Very friendly staff. Right in the city. Breakfast included.
Review 30:Very small space for the shower, not good experience Simple breaks first
Review 31:Location is just in the old city centre
Review 32:no wifi available in this unit
Review 33:Great little apartment with a shared outdoor space, good location a short walk from duomo and campo
Review 34:The shower was so small it was difficult to use
Review 35:Location Spacious room
Review 36:Very nice staff, location
Review 37:No bad experiences
Review 38:Joy and Michele, the hosts were very kind and helpful.
Review 39:No Wi-Fi in the rooms
Review 40:Location and value for money
Review 41:Wifi only available in reception.
Review 42:Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 43:Really, the only thing I didn't like was the noise level. The weather was beautiful so we had the windows open and any conversation or vehicle noise was as if it were in the room. Simple solution: bring ear plugs. I think any room that's near the city center would suffer from the same problem.
Review 44:The location, helpfulness of the family who ran the place and the price were all excellent.
Review 45:Room was on the street side. Very noisy, even with window closed. Had to ask for a fan for the 2nd night to help block noise and keep room from getting stuffy. Inside hall noise very loud also. No A/C or wifi.
Review 46:Great location!
Review 47:Bed was as hard as rock. Location within the city walls make accessibility very difficult to unload luggage. Parking is next to impossible.
Review 48:The room was very clean and well maintained but very small. Barely enough room to move around.
Review 49:Be careful - you might have to climb a lot of stairs to your room.
Review 50:The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. We got a little lost on our way in, and they sent someone on a scooter to guide us to our building
Review 51:Short hours for breakfast off site, kitchen in apartment with nothing in it, not a utensil, plate, pot, or even a cup! Not worth the cost!
Review 52:Check in person was nice.
Review 53:Not enough paper in the bedroom and they didnt tell us where to get it so we have to buy and wait for the other day cause the reception close at 19:00.
Review 54:Good location. Breakfast is ok.
Review 55:Too many stairs to get to our room. We were on the 4th floor and had to carry our heavy suitcases up 60 steps. A little much for an over 60 couple.
Review 56:Location was near most attractions.
Review 57:Sensor lights in entrance and hall which was fine, also in bathroom but this went off very quickly.
Review 58:Very friendly, small kitchenette which was useful, could have breakfast opposite, or a basket made up so could do own breakfast when ready.
Review 59:Rooms were not where office was located. Would have liked description toexplain it was a 1 km walk from electric stairs (train) to office
Review 60:Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Review 61:This is the perfect place to stay in siena if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay in the center of the city. Siena is small but staying outside of the city might be hard because the city sits on a hill and you would have to take a bus or hike up everyday. It is a beautiful room and very clean. The staff are very helpful. I called in advance to get information on what train station to get off at and how to get to the hotel and Joi was very helpful. They even agreed to stay open later for us because our train was delayed. Such a great place to stay! I plan on bringing my husband back for a visit in the near future!
Review 62:Our room was still in the city center, but in an earlier email another adress (even closer to the center) was mentioned. But this was not a real problem!
Review 63:Traditional atmosphere in an old house of Siena (but furnishings were in a very good shape)
Review 64:The adress of the b&b is not the same as visible on booking.com. 15 min walk from check in to b&b. Still good location. (Via giglio)
Review 65:Big room, free WiFi
Review 66:A minor but maybe important detail is that we had to sign on some paper that states that they will keep our information for 10 years. We did not feel so comfortable about it, and it was written in Italian. The owner, upon our request, explained what was written in it, but still this did not feel good.
Review 67:we had a good experience for a single night stay in Siena... We were lucky to have a room right in the heart of the city centre, and the room was well equipped and very comfortable. They also let us keep the bags for the entire day so we can walk around the lovely city of Siena.
Review 68:Room very disappointing with only a French door leading out onto a small closed in courtyard. Perhaps the worst was that all night long there was a ventilation system in the courtyard that came on for 10 seconds every 2 minutes so I barely slept. Avoid room 3 at all costs. Skip the breakfast - bread in plastic packages and coffee not good. Not sure how the ratings are so good on your site. Hmmm.
Review 69:Good location although you must go to the check in address and then be taken on foot to the actual place where the rooms are.
Review 70:My stay there was a nightmare, it was this summer, the room was very hot and they didn't have ar-conditioning, nor a simply fan. The room was very noisy, because it's too close to the street. My room was invaded by bugs while I was trying to sleep, I woke up after feeling some bites, and when I turned on the light my bed was full of bugs and the sheets full o my blood from the bites. They changed my room, but still no air-cond, no fan. At least for all the trouble and torture of that night, they should have returned my money, but they didn't.
Review 71:Don't stay there in summer.
Review 72:The rooms are actually pretty far from the office where you check in. So if you end up walking with your luggage, be prepared for another 10 minutes once you've checked in.
Review 73:The location is great, a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo. The room was large and comfortable, the same with bathroom. Would stay there without hesitation.
Review 74:The address is that of the main office in downtown Siena, however, the rooms are several blocks farther to the edge of the city. They take you walking without helping with the luggage. Even though there was wifi, it did not work at all.
Review 75:The room was comfortable and nice
Review 76:Breakfast packaged croissants again. Smallest shower in the universe andthe noisiest fan that turns on and off automatically so long after youhave left. Most importantly the office and our room was a long walkthrough crowds up and down hills dragging bags over cobblestones. Mightbe worth asking address of room before booking.
Review 77:Position was good, the room was large and cool, the staff friendly andhelpful although only Joy speaks English.
Review 78:Breakfast was not huge, but it is what they eat in Italy. Had achocolate crossiant and yogurt and coffee. But it was prepared for usand got. It satisfied us till lunch.
Review 79:We called to find out which gate to enter. Then they told us a shop towait at. They sent someone to meet us instead of going to the office -which was in a different location. It was nice that they did this or wewould have had to walk an extra 10 mins there and then back again. Theylet us sign the papers after we were settled and had dinner. Veryfriendly and accommodating.
Review 80:Siena could be a big problem if you have a car. This B&B doesn'thave available parking. Big problem: The reception desk is in ViaStalloreggi 16 but your room is not on that location. It could be in abuilding accros the street but also on the other side of the town, 10min on foot, in Via del Giglio. If you carry luggage it can be painful.Remember, Siena is on a hill. The room we got at Via del Giglio was verycharming, high ceilings, old furniture and marble floor, but, it wassuper cold, the sheets were wet and the bed wasn't the best. Nextday we asked if we can change the room coz we didn't want to spendone more night there. I'm sure when it is 40 Celsius outside thisroom is perfect but we weren't that lucky. What else, oh yeah, thebreakfast. When they say simple Italian breakfast I couldn't agreemore. It would be much better if they dont serve it at all. Not a goodvalue for the price you pay. Budget place but charming
Review 81:Helpfull staff. We didn't like the room we got at Via del Giglio sothey gave us the second one in Via Stalloreggi, which was perfect.Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Much better location, closer to public parking at the Laterino gate (definitely a plus if youhave a car) and major attractions.
Review 82:Very good and convenient location. The staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were one of the best we've ever had in our travels. When weleft for Como early in the morning, the male boss accompanied us to waitfor a taxi. His friendliness was impressive.
Review 83:Gioia was very helpful with all our questions and requests. The room was spacious and clean and well located for us to walk to anywhere in the center of Siena. I would stay here again without hesitation.
Review 84:The check-in is not the same place where we stayed, meaning that we had to walk (not far) to where our room was located. Also, the room next to us had smokers who were apparently allowed to smoke in their room. This meant that our room, supposedly non-smoking, was filled with smoke. Finally, the breakfast is served on a very tiny table whihc only allows a few people to eat at one time. This can be frustrating.
Review 85:Staff was very helpful in helping us switch rooms and in suggesting places to eat.
Review 86:The staff at the hotel were very helpful and even though we arrivedlater than we entended to (the reception closes at 7 pm), theyinstructed by phone, helped us find the place easily and had left thekey for us to take. Very happy with the service and would definatelyreccomend the place
Review 87:The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.
Review 88:Staff were helpful. Room was nice, big and clean and centrally located. Very comfortable. Nice place to stay. Didn't stay for breakfast unfortunately so can't comment on that.
Review 89:No Wifi! It is noisy.
Review 90:The room is okay.
Review 91:Very small bathroom
Review 92:Great location in the heart of old town, nice restaurant downstairs. Nice view - but only from the highest floor.
Review 93:shower room is too small.
Review 94:location!!!staff is so nice!
Review 95:Excellent location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. I will recomend this place to my friends
Review 96:Small bathroom and typical minimalist italian breakfast.
Review 97:Great location and very reasonable price. I would definitely go back.
Review 98:no wifi
Review 99:The room is very well decorated

Review 106:I liked especially private garden
Review 107:easy to find, central, good welcome, able to leave bags,
Review 108:The location is great in the heart of medieval Siena.
Review 109:The hotel locates in a quiet corner close to the center, it's very close to everywhere. I like the garde a lot
