Reviews for Atahotel Expo Fiera

Review 1:Breakfast buffet was either limited or food got over too early. Bathroom could have been a little spacious.

Review 2:Cleanliness and regular making up of the room. The reception staff were friendly.

Review 3:When I checked out, the front charged me the room service which I neverordered. The frpnt desk didn't show me the bill until I have paid. After a long time waiting that she foud it was the order of another ofroom that I remained unknown how she found it.The pickup service (from nearby subway station) isn't work. I've tried to call the hotel 4 times after 13:00, only get one answer. However, the lady told me that she has to trafer to front desk to confirm my reservation. But the tranfer was suspected to be an excuse cause no one answers it. When I called later, no one answered the phone, and I've tried 3 times. This hotel isn't easy (almost not possible) to reach via walking from subway station Molino Dorino. To walk from Station Pero is 15 min. or longer and be careful to buy the right ticket as Pero is OUTSIDE Milan (one has to buy the extension ticket when works together with Milano card). The room is big. But it feels a bit cold.

Review 4:Clean

Review 5:The buses to go and return to ITMA were mayhem to be honest. The hotel needed double the amount of buses. The metro station is not close and you need to take the hotel shuttle, which seems like a practical perk when going from the hotel to the metro station. BUT when you are at the metro station returning to the hotel, you need to make an intermational phone call for them to come pick you up... Not so nice then. If you decide to walk, you need to take the metro until to next stop, for which you will need a extraurban metro ticket... so its gets a bit messy.:(

Review 6:For the purpose of attending ITMA fair I could not have asked for a more practical hotel. If you are planning on going to Milan centre it is a bit of a strech in public trasnport. My room was great but I did pay a lot.

Review 7:No ATM machine and they charge extra for room service.

Review 8:If you're visiting the exhibition center this hotel is ideal. Offers free shuttle service to the exhibition center and to the near by metro station. The rooms are nice and spacious but room service and dinning options are both limited and pricey

Review 9:The facilities were great for business at the Expo center. The room was nice, breakfast was great, and fitness center was good. Very clean. Staff was helpful.

Review 10:The worst experience we had was, a pair of shoes from one of the rooms we booked was stolen. We complained to the reception, they responded quickly but till date we left they didn't take any action or offered any compensation.May be internally they were investigating the matter but they did n't bother to inform us.

Review 11:The other services provided by them like free dropping and picking facilities to the venue we had to go and the free shuttle(to and fro) for the nearest Railway station was really helpful and most appreciable.

Review 12:Nice, comfortable room. Helpful staff - I forgot in hotel my flash disc and they sent it me to my home - thanks a million! Good location for visiting EXPO.

Review 13:Too warm in corridors

Review 14:Very open and airy and Stylish. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Complementary chilled water and kettle in room. Ironing room close to room.

Review 15:Not many dinner options around (except the hotel's own restaurant). As soulless as you would expect from a large chain hotel primarily frequented by business travelers.

Review 16:Fine facilities, nice, clean. Good connection to the nearby train station via a free hotel shuttle, and from there to the city centre via suburban rail.

Review 17:1. reception terrible: no smiling face, not friendly at all, very rude to customers, no information given unless you ask, and they seemed always in bad mood 2. not very convenient travelling: you need to take shuttle bus going in and out to the nearest train station. Going out from Hotel is ok, but coming back from Train station you need to ring the Hotel most of the time and you can hardly get through, we had to ring at least 10 times before we can get through IF we can get thhough at all. Same when you in the Hotel room it is quikcer to go to reception that rining them. 3. Breakfast not goo dat all, you need to pay extra if you want an omelete, quality of food and coffee not good, less variety. 4. we were there for the Milan Expo and on booking.com said they have shuttle bus then when we arrived, we found out they charge 10 euro per person to the Expo. The rate should be clearly indicated on Booking.com website instead of misleading customers.

Review 18:hotel hardward good, room spacious and nice

Review 19:the free pick up service from Metro to hotel is a joke. I've called 4 times. The situation is : No one answers the phone or someone asks you the check-in information and transfers to front desk with endless waiting.

Review 20:clean hotel

Review 21:The staff was not particularly friendly, but they do their job well.

Review 22:The location is great if you partake or visit the expo. It is also readily accessible from the highway, making travelling fast. It was also very comfortable, cosy and quiet. I had a great nights sleep after a long day.

Review 23:Walk to metro,as used further station for economy on tube pass

Review 24:The room style and furniture were excellent,Italian feel with cool comfort.also very well equipped.

Review 25:Location far away from the city centre, only one small van for 7 persons as a shuttle to the metro station for hotel with 450 rooms... Metro station is in walking distance (ca. 15 min), but not urban zone for a ticket (need to buy U+1/2 zone) Breakfasts are not organised, ordering of coffee is a miracle.. :-) but an issue

Review 26:Good value compare to the price Rich breakfasts Wifi in the room and all hotel areas Spacious rooms

Review 27:Not sure about their kitchen hygiene. I ate there and fell very ill after dinner. Reception staff not too friendly nor efficient.

Review 28:Proximity to the Milan Fair, comfort of room, cleanliness

Review 29:The didn"t allow me to have a breakfast at 10:08 am ... but they didn't announce a breakfast time on my arrival (at 1am morning) or it haven't been written anywhere. (Except of possibility to order it to the room till 10:30am). Really annoying from the staff !!!!

Review 30:A quite big site with a lot of facilities and services.

Review 31:Staff behavior, poor laundry service & only 1 restaurant not sufficient to accommodate the hotel guests especially dinner time.

Review 32:Room spacious, bed comfortable & large balcony.

Review 33:Many staff at reception, but only a few help you. Waiting lines are anoying if you see that 2/3 of staff is doing nothing. Heavily overpriced

Review 34:Shuttle service!

Review 35:My trip to Milan was cancelled due to husbands poor health I booked this room thru booking.com I could not cancel and of course no refund! It was totally a negative experience I was joining another couple who were staying with you for several days attending the Milan Food Fair JoAnn Kelly

Review 36:Internet at 6 floor didn't work. They new it and did not solve the issue. They didn't have enough adaptors to give to the rooms. Even in cheaper hotels they are available in the room.

Review 37:The rooms are excellent Free transfer to Fiera Milano

Review 38:Sometimes it was difficult getting the shuttle to the subway but we could make the 10 minute walk if the line for the bus was too long

Review 39:Good location for the fairgrounds and surprisingly convenient to downtown Milan on the red subway line. Good breakfast and clean quiet room.

Review 40:The hotel was really full due to the expo, so the reception struggled to serve clients despite their high professionalism. For instance I did not manage to get an iron and its board. Breakfast room was really full too. But I guess in normal periods this is a fantastic hotel.

Review 41:Location near the expo. High professionalism of staff.

Review 42:Location, no shop or restautant within 20 min walking area.. Slow check in/out.

Review 43:Spacious and clean room/bathroom. Modern hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Free shuttle to a nearby metro station. Call the hotel and they would arrange to pick you up in the metro station anytime of the day.

Review 44:Personality-less. I know it's a business show hotel, but it was especially without personality. Every single surface is marble, and that extended to it's soul. The hallways in the guest rooms are also marble which makes them loud. Soundproofing in the rooms is good, but it can't overcome the hard surfaces outside in the hall.

Review 45:Nice room, restaurant was surprisingly good, marvelous bed and pillows, very close to the show we were attending.

Review 46:I booked a room with queen bed single use. At the end, I have my room with one single bed. I called the reception and the lady said will check is there any avalible room for me. But after 5second, my phone was cut. I called 5times again to the reception and no one pick up the phone.

Review 47:First room we got the card to get the lights working wasnt functioning and they had to switch our rooms. 10 euros each way for the shuttle to the Expo, price was okay but waiting for the shuttle to come back the wait was over 20 minutes even when calling ahead. Not enough front desk staff. Long wait to check in and check out. Would have got full marks if it wasn't for this.

Review 48:Our suite was amazing with three balconies and tons of space. Close to expo which was why we stayed here.

Review 49:Good hotel convenient for the expo. It was fairly close to the metro and the hotel had a shuttle which took us to the metro and picked us up when we phoned on the way back. We had to wait a while for the shuttle to the expo and it was further than I expected and to an entry that resulted in a long walk. We went to the metro exit on the way back and took the one stop back to the hotel.

Review 50:Booked it due to proximity to Expo but not possible to walk there. Taxi was only about 10 euros though.

Review 51:Very helpful reception staff. Told us about the Delfino Bistro down the road who we telephoned and they collected us and brought us back after our meal. Very good traditional italian food and very reasonably priced. The bedroom was very spacious and well equipped. Good bathroom.

Review 52:Far from the center and nothing around the hotel - for EXPO is perfect..for sightseeing not recommended

Review 53:Clean hotel, great breakfast, fairly new. We booked this hotel for the Expo, great free shuttle service.

Review 54:The website does not explain the shuttle service, neither does it mention the name of the Subway station to get off. This needs to be improved. The hotel has an organisation problem. Check-in can take 60 minutes. The reception staff is also responsible for any question that could occure. The two computer and the printer provided for clients to print their boarding pass were out of order.

Review 55:This hotel provides a shuttle service to the nearest Subway station, just a phone call and they come. It works very well.

Review 56:* staff in no rush at the reception although there were many people waiting (we've been ignored for most of the time) * chaotic check-in * me and my boyfriend were checking in/out together but although room was on my name they ignored me entirely(especially the manager of another origin) and were talking to him only "sir this and sir that" - something wrong with women? * location almost 1km on foot from train station and expensive shuttle bus

Review 57:Room was really beautiful and the bed very comfortable.

Review 58:Breakfast options were limited, food did not taste good. Eggs were cold and coffee of poor quality. Check-in took too long. Transfer to EXPO did not work (too few buses for too many guests). Location is in a mixed used area, not convenient for public transport and for walking around (but hotel provides transfer to metro stop).

Review 59:Pleasant hotel, interior all new, room had balcony and bed was very comfy.

Review 60:The food was well below standard of such a hotel and we came away feeling ill after consuming breakfast which tasted off and was of poor quality.

Review 61:Our room was very nice and the shuttle service to the Expo area was excellent.

Review 62:Staff not able to communicate easily in English. Though we booked a twin room and with an extra confirmation 15 days before arrival, we were told that we booked a king size!!! After showing our e-mails just gave us the twin room. Paid 220€/night and we were requested 12€/night parking fee. Got into a not clean room, full of water in bathroom's floor and killed more than 15 mosquitos (in mid October)

Review 63:Breakfast & location next to Milan fair ground was an oasis amongst a TOTALLY disappointing hotel.

Review 64:The location is not good for walking around, unless you have your own car, or call a taxi, the only real option to get to and from the metro is by using the free shuttle service. Coffee and capuccino at the hotel bar are really quite expensive.

Review 65:It's a huge hotel with plenty of rooms, free good wi-fi, a good choice buffet for breakfast, good beds and furniture. Everything was fine and nothing was out of order. Free shuttle from 7 a.m. to 24.00 to/from the nearest metro station which is a necessity 'because the metro is not that far but the area is not for a nice walking. It has been a valuable choice to go to the Expo exibition. They have a luggage room for dropping your luggage before check-in and after check-out if needed.

Review 66:Difficult to find a table at breakfast. Nothing close to hotel. They charged the same to get to the Expo as did a taxi and you didn't have to wait for the taxi.

Review 67:Great place to relax in comfort. Quiet and clean with good food at the restaurant. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Review 68:Possibly due to over work during expo, but some of the drivers of theoutsourced shuttle service are quite rude.

Review 69:Experienced a problem tying to call their operator to find out moreabout their shuttle to the expo grounds. Ended up calling a taxi, and Iwas reimbursed promptly the difference by the manager. Every problemoffers an opportunity in disguise. At the ata Fiera expo they seem toknow that.

Review 70:Just the location its out in the boonies

Review 71:Very clean and spacious rooms no problems with hotel staff like other reviewer mentioned Bed is comfortable. Parking is available

Review 72:This is a big, conference hotel. Very good breakfast and well situated for Milan Expo and trips to the lakes. The room we booked was not available so we got upgraded to a suite. Obviously, everything was wonderful.

Review 73:The location was really good for visiting Expo. The Shuttle service was perfect. We traveled with a small child (5 months) but with the shuttle we didn't have to wait nor had any problems with the stroller.

Review 74:The shuttle bus is not as good as you think, better travel in the rush hour, if you don't want to wait for half an hour. And it's not easy to walk you way back even you want to, didn't see much sidewalk. They don't have a charger adapter to borrow, even a youth hostel have that.

Review 75:The breakfast was quite nice, and make me expresso on request.

Review 76:Perhaps the breakfast could be improved But I understood the hotel can hold up to 3.000guests so I believe it's not easy to manage such a number of people in 3hours time. Anyway it's NOT a complaint at all...I prefer a honest breakfast with a reasonable price

Review 77:The room itself was large and well decorated The stuff friendly and smiling...fast and professional They even gave me the availability of the room at 10am...pity I had to spend all day at the Expo so I used it only from 10pm Finally on the back of the hotel there is a small park where I did my morning jog...small lap (you can squeeze more than 1km if you snake around) but perfect for me Shuttle bus very fast brings you to the Tube Station

Review 78:If you have things to do in town, it's quite far. I would come back here only for the Expo.

Review 79:It is a good, comfortable hotel. I liked the restaurant, even if it has a short menu. The room is very spacios, with a little couch in the window for coffee and tea. The location is good for those who came for the Expos. You can walk from the Pero metro station. It's about 10 minutes. The zone is safe although it's quite empty. Very easy to acces from the high way.

Review 80:The location, far away from down town, with little varieties.

Review 81:Staff are friendly, they know more than a language, available to help, some gluten free products are available for gluten intolerance people.

Review 82:Travel to & from hotel not good. They run a shuttle bus from Molina Metro stop but often VERY busy and waiting for 20/30 minutes not unusual. Service in restaurant also often very slow as extremely busy BUT food good quality.

Review 83:Hotel facilities were good, room extremely comfortable.

Review 84:Wifi did not work despite many attempts of the staff to solve the issue

Review 85:Everything. Wonderful room, hotel shuttle to and from train station, friendly staff

Review 86:location as well. transportation to the expo center can be difficult. only realistic option is taxi or car.

Review 87:the hotel itself, value for money and location

Review 88:Personnel was not friendly at all. I had asked for a child crib and got a confirmation for this. When I arrived at the hotel they didn't prepare the crib. On top of that they did not believe me and pretended it was my fault!! Distance to Metro is not ideal (10 minutes walk).

Review 89:Nice big rooms. Overall clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Transfer to Expo is easy.

Review 90:The ladies who clean the rooms come early in the morning and are very loud ! Even when reminded by several guests that it is before 7 a.m .and that guests may be sleeping... they remain loud ... They do not seem to understand what a hotel is about ... or are they so loud on purpose to make guests leave in order for them to finish early... ? Not a four star hotel

Review 91:You need a shuttle to get to the underground station to get to the Expo. Shuttle to the Expo €10 and still unreliable

Review 92:Modern, clean, nice rooms Excellent breakfast

Review 93:Nothing to complain. Everything was perfect.

Review 94:Location. Hotel offers free shuttle to the nearest Metro Station which is a GREAT Thing. Rooms - Very Big, very clean, comfort beds. Breakfast - Very good. Budget - We paid 82 Eur/room/night which is a very good price for a very good 4* Hotel.

Review 95:Staff was okay but not spectacularly attentive and occasionally slow. Also, I think that a shuttle to the Expo could have been free, if the shuttle is free anyway to the nearby metro. But I guess that's a way for them to make some money, so it's fair.

Review 96:Location is perfect until the end of Expo which is like 4 minutes away by car. After that I guess it's in the middle of nowhere. Big rooms, quiet, clean. Good gym, good facilities. Pool table. Altogether very nice hotel

Review 97:The shuttle to the expo is a trap don't take it! You will pay 10Euros whether you are 2 or 3 or 4!!! Take the shuttle going to the metro it's free, 2 stations from expo and it costs only 1,50 Euro

Review 98:Air conditioning was off in onde of the rooms.

Review 99:We are a couple with a Teenage son. The room provided was large and spacious. We were attending expp 2015 só the location was good.

Review 100:Poor location with very expensive transfers to airport or expo. Inaccessible without vehicle transport.

Review 101:Clean, spacious rooms. Staff were always friendly. Nice food and reasonably priced

Review 102:We only rented this hotel as close to the expo with a transfer so we didn't need parking. We were told transfer was 5 minutes... It was with a huge wait and a fight with lots of other guests waiting. It was so bad we didn't bother to go to the expo the second day and went home. Wasted 500euros.

Review 103:- receptionist said there was no Spa center but we saw the signs where to go and pictures on booking.com - poor breakfast - over-priced drinks in the bar

Review 104:- good location and free shuttle service - early check - in - free Wi-Fi - comfortable rooms and excellent king-size beds

Review 105:Queues at reception. Confusing Information provided about how to get to Expo. Tip: Walk to Fiero Metro and take Metro for one stop.

Review 106:Easy to get to by car

Review 107:The shuttle to the Expo was very convenient, but a little expensive.

Review 108:It was very clean, modern, and close to the Expo. Breakfast was good, and the staff was excellent from the front desk and restaurant, to the shuttles to and from the Expo.

Review 109:Breakfast buffet half empty and more cantine-style, staff not much eager to serve you... Had to wait 10 minutes for plates, knife etc. Check in took long, big hughe comlex built in the 80ties

Review 110:Convenient and good shuttle to the expo: minibus 10 euro 1 up to 4 persons per way. Drives when ever you request it. Rooms newly renovated and very clean, good wifi, good value for money

Review 111:Hotel was completely unexpected. An oasis in the middle of nowhere but only a 5 minute walk to Pero Metro station, which is 5 minute ride to Rho Fiero Metro/Train Station. They also offer van service for 10 euro to EXPO for up to 4 people. Staff was great and accommodating. Restaurant was very good. Continental breakfast was over the top with a wide variety of breakfast food to accommodate many different types of foodies, i.e., Paleo, veggie, vegan, gluten free, etc.

Review 112:Taxi services dishonest No pool but plenty of land or space to have one. No handbook for guests in the room. Not enough toiletries for two people.

Review 113:Free wifi, airconditioning, good breakfast, location to expo very close. Shuttle to the expo but at a cost Staff friendly

Review 114:Nothing bad

Review 115:Modern design, we got an excellent price on booking.com, very nice stay. The restaurant was about to close, but let us sit for dinner anyway. Very accommodating and the meal was delicious.

Review 116:Breakfast is poor

Review 117:The room was perfect. We have booked one room for 3 people, instead we have been provided with a room for 4, almost a suite, with 2 rooms, tv in every room, 3 balconies one with a sofa, huge wardrobe room, perfect bathroom. Parking. Hotel amenities. Close to Expo.

Review 118:While most of very good, some of the staff attitude was selectively condescending, unresponsive bordering on insulting and appeared to have a bias towards ethnicities. Issues with the type of bed and some broken equipment had to be followed multiple times. The breakfast choices for could be improved upon as one has a higher expectations of a 4 star rated hotel.

Review 119:The rooms were spacious and the decor was nice. The outdoor restaurant and seating arrangements were quite good. WiFi was pretty good. While the location is not the best if you want to be in the city, the shuttle service to the metro stations eases the situtation.

Review 120:some of the staff are non at 4 stars hotel level: non good manner, during breakfast and dinner they chit chat with each other, complaining about their working time

Review 121:great location near Rho Exhibition Center and few minutes to the subway. very comfortable room, good food, free shuttle bus to exhibition center and subway

Review 122:Restaurant food should have been hotter but maybe this is an Italian thing.WiFi can be tricky to get connection and why not just be free WiFi 24/7.

Review 123:Shuttle bus service to and from Rho Fiera was top class.Very nice rooms.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Restaurant & bar are good.

Review 124:breakfast was not too my liking but the coffee was excellant and shower leaked and dripped during night and i had to get up and sort it out

Review 125:everything,balcony was lovely

Review 126:The Bar was not a very happy place. The gym did not have weighing scale.

Review 127:Over all comfortable and friendly front desk. Liked the facility of shuttle to the Fiera and the Metro.

Review 128:But nothing positive can be said more. Looks like somebody invested a lot of money to build the hotel and has no any clue - how to operate it than. I could write about 200 items notes about that.

Review 129:The hotel itself is built very well.

Review 130:Location is not so comfortable and I spend a lot for taxis to the exhibition and to the city center. The personal was very unfriendly whenever I came in touch with them or I asked something I more felt like disturbing than as a welcome guest!

Review 131:Nice hotel with good facilities.

Review 132:Check In/Check Out staff rude, uninterested and incompetent - it took 40 minutes to check out. Location is awful - on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere with no surrounding restaurants, bars etc so you are tied to the hotel and their exhorbitant drink and food prices. Bed - the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. Only one pillow supplied and when I asked for more my request was ignored. No milk for tea or coffee - request made but again ignored. WiFi - this hotel aims for the business traveller but you have to pay for WiFi, which to be honest is awful. The situation of the hotel means you have to use taxis, which are extortionate - 90 Euros from Malapensa Airport, 30 Euros in to Milan. I would never stay here again or suggest this hotel to any of our business contacts.

Review 133:Room clean and modern. Bar staff polite and friendly. Breakfast good

Review 134:We have reserved 2 double rooms for 4 persons. However, we had sudden change for the reservation for 2nd room since 4th person cant fly at the day of check-in due to unexpected illness. Booking.com does not allow change by email and we have to fly. Once we arrived to hotel, at check-in, asked a staff there to change from 2-double rooms to one triple room. They said they cant, and i had confirmation that we will charged one room for double occupuncies, and one room for single occupuncy. However, at the time of check-out, they charged ys 2 double occupuncies room rate... Very unhappy about... :(!

Review 135:Hotel amenities, cleaniness and services are good and satisfying. Hotel staff are a bit rude and careless sometimes.

Review 136:For Vegetarian guest is very difficult. They have many varities for non vegetarians. In the day time they have good veg snacks dishes in restaurent than why not in morning even a single veg dish

Review 137:Staff is very helpful

Review 138:a bit anonymous like all those big hotels

Review 139:the room was nice, the breakfast excellent and the service very good, the position to be in Milan fair is very good

The Fine Print

Please note that the shuttle service to/from Molino Dorino metro stop is available from 07:00 to 00:00. All requests for the shuttle service must be reserved at check-in.
