Reviews for Palas Cerequio

Review 1:Roberto and his wife were absolutely amazing hosts. We had such a fantastic time thanks to their recommendations and warm hospitality. I can't wait to go back!

Review 2:While the internet was OK in the breakfast room, we would have liked to have a stronger and wider connection. I was in one of the traditional rooms, and the wifi connection was pretty non-existent there.

Review 3:The views were spectacular from almost every vista of the hotel. And the staff was extremely welcoming and well-connected in the area. When we come back (and we will) we intend to use their recommendations more.

Review 4:This hotel is supremely situated amongst some of the Langhe's most legendary Barolo vineyards. In October, the morning mist is enchanting and presents a new landscape every day, and throughout the day itself. Magical. From the hotel, you can walk through probably the most spectacular wine country scenery I've encountered anywhere in the world. The loveliest hill towns of the region are all within reach (La Morra, Monforte, Neive, etc.), some by short hike, and others by short, stunning, and carefree drives. The concierge, sommelier, and hotel staff aim to please, and bring serious wine and food expertise and credibility to your experience. Davide will be happy to help you with your daily "program" and arrange the best wine tastings, restaurants, truffle hunts, hikes, and more. I recommend the Canubbi room, with in-suite Turkish bath, claw foot tub, views of the valley and surrounding hill towns and castles, and walk out to a shared, but very lovely, terrace.

Review 5:One of the staff members (tall thin bald) was perpetually smug with us making it uncomfortable to ask for anything. This was especially disappointing because the rear of the staff was great.

Review 6:Location, breakfast was very good, rooms quite nice

Review 7:Room was really dark and the decor essence smell was really strong. Didn't like the kitsch decoration Shower drain flooded even after one minute shower and the steam room didn't warm up. Wifi is a joke.

Review 8:Location was good and the landscape beautiful. The pool area was super and the service also. Loved the breakfast with omelets and freshly squeezed juices.

Review 9:A great room with steam sauna and spa tub in the room and the pool just outside the room. To wake up with a view of Barolo village and the vineyards nearby is just amazing.

Review 10:The fact we had only booked 2 nights, could have stayed a week.

Review 11:A wonderful finish to our 25th wedding anniversary holiday. Jane and her welcoming team were great hosts. Palas Cerequio is a lovely quiet spot to relax and recoup in stunning surrounds with tastefully decorated & spotless rooms.

Review 12:Only posisble detractor is the drive down a dirt road if you are in a sports car...but the hotel is literally in the middle of the vineyard, so it only adds to the ambience of luxury accommodations in the expanse of Peidemonte Wine Country.

Review 13:Wow...Italian sleek meets modern comfort. The suite was fabulous and beds were extremely comfortable! Dinner and breakfast were also very memorable as were the hotel staff who were very friendly and accommodating.

Review 14:Insufficient closet and counter space in bedroom and bathroom. Difficult to find by car. Hotel should send driving directions in advance of arrival.

Review 15:Excellent food. Very helpful and professional staff. Beautiful views of vineyards

Review 16:fantastisch gelegen, zeer ruime kamer, geweldig vriendelijk personeel, prima eten geweldig buiten op het terras en niet te vergeten geweldig mooie wijnen.

Review 17:Greatduplex, just the quality of the facilities (tube tap not properly scelled on the tube, it was broken, turkish bath not warm enough)

Review 18:Fantastic view

Review 19:Wonderful place in the middle of vineyards: a Fusion of nature, history and modernity. Very quiet and familiar spot, excellent food and wine, lovely rooms with great atmosphere, very frindly and helpful People. Highly recommended!

Review 20:The wifi did not work.

Review 21:Very stylish property, very nice hospitable personnel, fantastic location in the middle of vineyards with the extraordinary view.

Review 22:Would be good if there was a soap dish, some of the fixtures weren't working properly, e.g. Toilet door handle kept coming off and living room lamp was not working.

Review 23:Excellent room design, friendly staff.

Review 24:Very intimate place away from the crowds in the heart of the famous Barolo wine country. Terrific views...Designer duplex apartment, designer wine cellar and tasting room. Excellent staff speaks Italian and English.

Review 25:One has to drive down a small road from downtown La Morra, through some unpaved sections, right into the heart of the vineyard to get to this charming hotel. The place looks to have been remodeled not long ago from old buildings in very good taste. The view of the vineyard and of surrounding Barolo area villages is simply beautiful. The small staff is very welcoming and helpful. They are full of good suggestions for activities, dinning, etc. We stayed in one of the rooms by the pool and the layout of the duplex room was unique, modern, and very creative. We loved it. We had a whirlpool tub, a shower with water falling 2-story high, and a steam room!

Review 26:evening meal whilst ok, could and needs to be better.

Review 27:Lovely location with amazing views and peace. The rooms are amazingly equipped, stunning showers and saunas, really lovely and very comfortable. Beautiful. Wine tasting is possible and great fun, beautiful winery. Roberto is attentive. Breakfast is really excellent with a wide range of lovely things and cooked to order.

Review 28:The restaurant was great. However, it would have been nice if we could have a casual, not too pricy meal in the restaurant. Since we travelled with two small kids we missed a few basic courses at the menu card.

Review 29:Very beautiful and tastefully decorated place with a fantastic view. Wonderful room (we had one in old fashion style) and breadfast. Helpful and personal staff.

Review 30:The setting is fantastic, the old buildings have been brilliantly preserved and the modern buildings work together with them. Suites are available in contemporary or traditional style. Both the bed and room was big and comfortable. Lovely bathroom. The views from our room, the terrace and the pool were all fantastic. The wine tasting was a nice experience and the food in the hotel restaurant was good. There is a good restaurant just a couple of minutes across the valley too. Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Review 31:That we had to leave after 5 nights. We could stay there forever :-)

Review 32:The place was just perfect, new and stylish. The idea with mixing the old and genuine with the new and modern is fantastic! The athmosphere and the crew were great. Good menu (the same) for lunch and dinner - we had problems deciding what to have. It was all very good! The modern suites was very nice with a stunning view. All the suites have a private SPA! Just love it! The wine cellar is also worth a comment :-)

Review 33:Absolutely nothing

Review 34:Stunning place, stunning location, stunning views, stunning rooms. But above all is the warm and personal care of Jane, Roberto and David for their guests who make the stay so special. It was our second stay in Palas Cerequio, but definitely not the last one...

Review 35:Owner's dog free in the restaurant during dinner and breakfast Unprofessional service ( "medium" b&b level) Dog's excrement in front of our room's door in the morning

Review 36:The landscape

Review 37:Hotel designed to make the most of the magnificent views but at the same time retaining the integrity of the vernacular.Incredibly comfy beds, spacious suite/duplex with fun features like 30 foot drop shower and a light show on the wall! Very good fresh breakfast on offer, delicious local fare for lunch and dinner. All in all a very pleasurable experience.

Review 64:Beautiful boutique hotel set in the middle of vineyards. An amazing view of the countryside. Everything was done first class. The staff, the accommodations, the food and the wine were impeccable.

Review 65:Wi-Fi was a bit slow and unreliable. Once you find the hotel (not hard to do) finding where to park and the reception is a challenge during the day (there is a sign visible only at night).

Review 66:Excellent location for peace, quiet and calm. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, well equipped room. A true gem. BUT, the Booking.com listing says there is no restaurant on-site. That is wrong. THERE IS A RESTAURANT IN THE HOTEL. Their chef is excellent and the dinner we had was delicious.

Review 67:Couldn't quite figure out the sound system.

Review 68:The panoramic view was incredible to wake up to. Enjoyed sitting by the pool, and being in the middle if the vineyards! Stellar location! Nice breakfast, and comfortable bed. Very welcoming hosts, especially with my 2:30am arrival! Thanks guys!!!

Review 69:dinning options and recommended restaurant in Barolo.

Review 70:Palas C. - the best in Barolo region. Friendly staff and quite location. Visit the unique wine cellar and ask for the degustation. Good collection of different local wine producers and wine from Maestro Michele Chiarlo. Hope to come ASAP

Review 71:All in all, you pay too much for what you receive (breakfast too poor, too many insects in the room and other small things).

Review 72:Landscape and design of the rooms.

Review 73:This small luxury resort is located in Barolo vineyards in the hills above the village of Barolo. The scenery is beautiful. The hosts were gracious and helpful. The walk from the resort to the village of Barolo through the vineyards is lovely and fairly easy (1/2 hour each way).
