Reviews for Hotel Aurora

Review 1:Sound isolation in the main building is poor: I could hear the TV of my neighbours. The rooms are not cheap.

Review 2:Breakfast not included in the room rate and self-service, but rather rich in quantity and variety. Very clean. Recently refurbished.

Review 3:- The hotel is a floor on a old residential building, seperate than the reception). Although it is renovated, the rooms are not soundproof (during my stay the tenants upstairs had a party). - I found hair on the bedsheets and the bathroom which was unacceptable. - Poor breakfast

Review 4:- Location (very close to train station) - Staff

Review 5:No full service restaurant but European Breakfast available - great value. Multiple dining choices within 1block radius.

Review 6:Modern updated guestrooms / lobby / breakfast area. Likely the best hotel in the city of Pavia. Also loved the "boutique" feel. Across street from modern train station - 45 minutes to either Genoa or Milan.

Review 7:The shower fixture was broken! There wasn't a good seal between the showerhead and the shower hose, so about 25% of the water came out the spraying part of the showerhead, and 75% of the water came out the part where the showerhead was joined with the hose.

Review 8:The room was small (it was a single) but sunny, well furnished, and had a modern look. I appreciated the luggage rack, towel and coat hooks, and extra pillow. Very clean; I felt comfortable enough to walk around barefoot.

Review 9:No common facilities such as a lounge to sit and relax with a drink in the evening

Review 10:clean and comfortable room, bathroom was nice but bed a bit hard for our liking

Review 11:Only one flat pillow was available. We only stayed for one night therefore it did not bother us that much. However, we would have asked for more pillows if we were having a longer stay.

Review 12:Hotel is conveniently located very close to train station and at the same time just 5 mins away from Pavia centre. It is a very quiet and safe area. Hotel is very clean. breakfast was worth the €6 we were asked to pay.

Review 13:The air conditioner is set so that it doesn't go below 22C which is a bit too hot on a hot day.7 Sep 2015

Review 14:Very efficient check-in. Room was comfortable and quiet.

Review 15:When I booked through Booking.com it said breakfast was included in the price. At check out we were charged 12 euros a day for two breakfasts. She said it was not included.

Review 16:It was so easy to fine from the train station. It was convenient to walk every place in Pavia. The room was cool and comfortable. Staff was very nice.

Review 17:The carpeting in the hallway outside the annex rooms is in bad need of cleaning or replacing.

Review 18:The breakfast was outstanding. The shower was wonderful, and the location was very good for exploring the center of Pavia on foot.

Review 19:The staff had difficulty keeping the breakfast food and plates available. When he was busy at the checkout desk we ran out of milk and plates

Review 20:Fresh clean foyer. Nice beds and bathroom

Review 21:Wifi not reliable in room but common area works great. Everything else was fantastic.

Review 22:Quick stroll downhill from station. Ps is is beautiful... Easy to navigate. Very friendly staff. Wifi note is minor. Will stay here again. Mille grazie tutti!!!

Review 23:Breakfast is served in the hotel lobby. Only a limited, continental choice is available - not really worth €6.00.

Review 24:We had a very pleasant 2 night stay. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a small balcony. The hotel is opposite the station and only a short walk to the centre of Pavia.

Review 25:The wifi could be temperamental

Review 26:The room was very comfortable and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It is in a good location, very close to the station and also to the town centre.

Review 27:I just thought breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was. Also, the place where we had breakfast was to small and plain.

Review 28:The location (very close to train station and the center of the city). The rooms were also very nice in all respects - this having said, I should clarify that I took 'a room w. a view' (they had two categories).

Review 29:Breakfast rather poor (however, it was only 6 euros per person).

Review 30:Conventiently located near the railway station. Clean. There are quiet rooms situated at the back.

Review 31:Breakfast had no fruit. Pavia itself is somewhat dirty.

Review 32:Lovely bath. Very close to the train station. Next door to excellent restaurant ; Peo. The Duomo is a big wonderful surprise

Review 33:Rooms used to look better. They look a little tired now. Floor was not very clean: I saw dust and hair in one of the corners. Showerbox was broken and shower cold at random.

Review 34:Peaceful hotel, good location.

Review 35:Well located bijou hotel just a few minutes walk from the central plaza. Large, comfortable room that had everything we required. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Review 36:These are not actually dislikes because they were OK for me. There are not a lot of hotels in Pavia convenient for the train. The price, I expect, observes the rules of supply and demand. Perhaps a bit pricey for what you get but still less than the alternatives. The breakfast will start your day OK but there is no variation.

Review 37:My room had a proper double bed and not, as is so often the case in Italy, two singles pushed together. A great nights sleep. The room aircon was superb as was the wifi. The hotel was quiet despite being full every night that I was there. The staff have great interpersonal skills and were all (from chambermaids to management) very courteous, friendly and helpful.

Review 38:Staff was rude when we arrived, very dark rooms, very expensive for what it is - but then this is often the case in Northern Italy anyway

Review 39:Very clean (for northern alItaly) and recently modernised

Review 40:The bedroom was very small and not really well equipped ; eg we ran out of toilet roll. At 100 euros (excluding breakfast) per night it is well overpriced for what you get.

Review 41:Only 200 metres from the train station and on the outskirts of the old town. The hotel was clean and the young girl on reception was very helpful.

Review 42:Room was a bit cramped and the price was just a bit expensive for the facilities on offer

Review 43:Location is excellent since it is right beside the railway station and provides access to the bus service to the airport or the train service to Milan. Staff were very approachable and helpful.

Review 44:Bed a bit on the hard side.

Review 45:Modern design, clean and spacious.

Review 46:the fact that one has to carry the luggage up the stairs!!!

Review 47:The hospitality of the staff especially at the reception.

Review 48:Modern and spotless

Review 49:nothing

Review 50:Location

Review 51:Location, room in a separate building, feels like having an apartment but with cleaning and breakfast

Review 52:Limited choice for breakfast for €6

Review 53:Staff and location

Review 54:Rice milk and blood orange juice for breakfast ....

Review 55:Very close to Pavia's rail station and still a quiet room.

Review 56:No pleasant staff. The Cost-Service tradeoff is bad!

Review 57:Cleanliness

Review 58:Clean, quiet and close to station. Lift small but worked well as we had large luggage.

Review 59:Bright clean rooms which looked new, breakfast was fine

Review 60:Hotel is located near railway station. Stuff very friendly and helpful.

Review 61:The room was a bit on the small side

Review 62:The location

Review 64:Very good breakfast (italian style!), location close to station and old town.

Review 65:Bed mattress was a little too hard for us.

Review 66:Great location, excellent service, friendly staff.

Review 67:No lift which was an issue for me with heavy suitcase

Review 68:Very helpful reception with excellent English

Review 69:the room was incredibly small, and the sound isolation is horrible

Review 70:excellent location

Review 71:Bathrooms are very small, particularly the shower. Price is relatively high for value.

Review 72:Very convenient to train station. Outstanding restaurant right next door. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Easy check in and checkout. Very friendly people at front desk.

Review 73:After 4 days, breakfast had become repetitive, especially if on a carbs free diet! - it is the same buffet each day - but there was plenty of the buffet available.

Review 74:Convenience to station and to town itself. Modern room. Room cleaned well each day.

Review 75:a cosy hotel near the railway station in the heart of pavia, very clean and well organized. the members of the staff are friendly and helpful. breakfast good

Review 76:Most of the staff was pleasant, one receptionist was rather arrogant

Review 77:Excellent location close to the railway station and the historic city centre, lovely room with a great bath room, clean modern design, room with balcony, dog friendly hotel

Review 78:Bed and bedside tables not cleaned underneath.

Review 79:Good room, convenient, small and friendly. Secure. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Good location near the train station.

Review 80:Great little hotel very near to the train station, but never heard one train. Could not fault the staff or the cleanliness. Breakfast was a bit basic but t adequate for us. The kettle in the room was a big bonus

Review 81:In the minibar many of the beverage were outdated.

Review 82:The room was excellent. The bathroom was very good conceived despite the italian hotel standard. The SUPERIOS Room had a good quality equipement and all was very clean.

Review 83:Beds area little hard

Review 84:Very good location when driving tired and need of rest, and just metres from the station, Breakfast OK, staff very good Very clean and everything works. Easy walk to all things in the town

Review 85:I didn't liked the variability of the shower temperature, the weakness of the wifi signal, and the breakfast was kinda poor.

Review 86:The location is great for those traveling by train, has free Wi-Fi and the employees are very friendly.

Review 87:There was nothing to dislike.

Review 88:The hotel is barely two minutes' walk from the train station, and five minutes from the town centre. It is modern, clean and well kept, with very polite and helpful staff. The room was rather small but well air-conditioned (the weather was very hot during our stay), very clean and had everything needed for an overnight stop. Highly recommended.

Review 89:One small criticism. The only TV programmes available are in Italian. This was not a problem for me personally, as I speak the language, but would be for other travellers.

Review 90:Hotel Aurora is an extremely quiet, efficiently run establishment. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Altogether a relaxing and pleasant environment.

Review 91:The hotel corresponded to the expectations. Location is good, walking distance to downtown. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is average but the price is very good. It is more than enough and well adequated.

Review 92:We stayed in 4 cheaper hotels and this was the most expensive for arather small room.

Review 93:Had everything that you needed, staff were friendly, very clean and nodistance from the railway station.

Review 94:Parking difficult

Review 95:Staff spoke english And had time to chat

Review 96:Just one night, but the room was very clean, the hotel is close to the train station and the breakfast was fine.
