Reviews for Dream Inn, Maldives – Sun Beach Hotel
Review 1:Mosquitoes. Not their fault since it's a tropical island but bring plenty of insect repellent. They've got some highly trained mosquitoes there that eat as much as I do.
Review 2:People there were all really friendly and helpful. Once, when we got back from a trip to a nearby island, we were really hungry but it was past lunch time. They specially prepared some pasta for us when we asked them where we could get some food. After that, I was still a little hungry and the lady at the reception gave me her own coconut cookies and refused anything in return. Really awesome people there and would highly recommend staying there.
Review 3:Unfriendly guests in a bad mood expecting a resort with absolute clean beaches that are not willing to pay for a resort.
Review 4:Everybody was trying to make us happy
Review 5:Disgusting place. not worth $ 10 per night. The hostel is cozier than this hole. Dirty, mold in the bathroom, the room has no windows and plaster falling off. No refrigerator, no TV. Not working wi-fi. And no Internet at all. Tap flowing hydrogen sulfide. Food - terrible. Do not believe the photos. The beach is dirty. All slops and waste merge into the ocean and surf are submitted to the bank. The hotel wanted to take $ 870 for 5 nights. With some difficulty, with the assistance of booking.сom I managed to escape after 2 days. I've been on 4 different islands in the Maldives. In this place I do not advise anyone to go.
Review 6:Maldives has a lot of other places. Much better. much cheaper
Review 7:We were accommodated in nearby unfinished surf house, not in hotel that we booked becouse they were full!!! Unbeliveable!! We had room with no wi-fi, no TV and without air conditioning!Total fraud!!! Island is very dirty and there is no restaurant on whole island.
Review 8:Kind staff is only positve about Dream in.
Review 9:If you want to visit nice place in Maldives, don´t go to this island or hotel. Rubbish are everywhere on the beach, dirty bathroom, Wi-fi didn´t work, bad people and service. It´s not a good place for holiday.
Review 10:Warning - extremely bad experience - take below advice lightly at yourown peril.1. I had a CONFIRMED BOOKING in "Super Deluxe" but was made to stay in "Deluxe" room upon arrival at Dream inn. Not just that when I asked the cottage's manager to compensate me by appropriately refunding the rent differential of the two rooms he refused to refund. 2. This is not a 3-star hotel as advertised. This is no more than a cottage. 3. This cottage is located on a FISHING VILLAGE which is very filthy and is littered with lizards and chameleons which normally exist near flithy locations. 4. WORST EVER WiFi: I booked this hotel (cottage) as it boasted of WiFi, but when I reached there I found the WiFi is non-existent or so poor that it would not connect for more than a few seconds. 5. The picture being displayed on the home page of this cottage is NO WAY NEAR to the cottage, and is 30 minute motor boat ride away in the sea and sets you back by additional dollars. When I questioned the lady at the front desk she told me impolitely that it is my opinion that it is inappropriate. 6. There is nothing to do in the village this cottage is sitting on and one will be forced to stay indoors. If you don't want to ruin your vacation then it is best to avoid this place. TAKE ABOVE ADVICE LIGHTLY AT YOUR OWN PERIL.
Review 11:There is nothing to like about this place.
Review 12:The government had canceled the bed tax $8 per bed per night while I was staying there, but they still charged me for 3 night. $48, Btw, I was staying alone, but they said since I was leaving double room, I have to pay double. There is no many activities, they just give you to outside time with commission, so it is quite expensive to do activities with the hotel. Recommond going to beach side to find a boat by yourself to do activity. Much cheaper! It is a guest house, it is hard to meet the standard of 3 star hotel. The local island was heavily polluted, plastic bag is everywhere. Sham
Review 13:Don't pay the transfer (40 USD) to and from the airport because the service they provide is not good and too expensive.Take the public ferry on your own, it's cheaper.
Review 14:Clean room, good food, you can stay in bikini on the beach.
Review 15:The free internet was not very good, however if you come for vacation to Maldives, just forget the internet ;) and enjoy the vacation! If you come for longer time and need internet for work, you can purchase it for reasonable price from local provider. The rooms are simple, but can't say smth bad as it is not 5* hotel and you should understand that. So, for this price it is good! Some of the island beaches are dirty however some are clean. We found beautiful places on the island and enjoyed the nature, it is real paradise!
Review 16:We enjoyed our stay in Dream Inn. The stuff was very friendly, got the homey feeling and didn't want to leave. The atmosphere is really nice in the guesthouse, feels so relaxing, best place to run away from the stressful life of the city and enjoy the calmness of Maldives. This place is child-friendly, there is a fenster in the hotel so our 1 y 10 m baby couldn't run away )) and the stuff was so helpful, during the dinner some of them played with our baby, really appreciate it. The food in the hotel was simple but good. Really enjoyed the island as there were local people living there and we were able to see how friendly, nice people they are. It was very special, to compare to artificial resort. So if you want to touch the real culture of maldivians, choose Dream Inn!!!!!!
Review 17:A lot of mosquito's on the island. Besides that, going to another island with a speedboat is quite expensive. Ferry only went to Malé.
Review 18:The hotel is situated on a local island, which means a whole different experience than other resort islands. People on the island are very friendly and so is the staff. Chris cooked us some delicious meals and helped us with all our questions and demands. Rooms are clean and spacious, wifi works most of the time. You can see dolphins swim from the beach.
Review 19:Nothing to do with Dream Inn but unfortunately there is a problem with waste/recycling on the Island. It is a shame because beautiful beaches are strewn with rubbish (NOT ALL, however) and i believe they are trying to get it sorted out....hope it works. It wont stop us from coming back.
Review 20:We had a great time at Dream Inn. Chris and co were fantastic! Our 1.5 year old loved them. The owners are also really helpful, The room was clean and they provided a baby cot. near the beach and surf. Dont miss Chris' fish curry...delicious.
Review 21:Should ask exactly how much you are going to be paying for your stay, since extra charges are not inclusive.
Review 22:great facilities, great chef, great food, small place, just a couple of rooms, cosy. Close to Cokes main break and shops. Quiet and very clean. Would recommend it for people seeking for a peaceful , quiet, and fairly cheap vacation VEGAN FRIENDLY
Review 23:-) Slow internet, which was probably just a temporary issue – quickly resolved by getting higher speed satellite internet access (also organized by staff – actually a pro, as it lets you forget about home and truly enjoy the holiday) All in all a clear recommendation, keep up the good work!
Review 24:Thank you for the warm and wonderful stay! If you are looking for a five-star resort with private beaches, western food and zero contact to locals, then this island is not the right one for your stay. For everyone else – you will be looking forward to an authentic Maldivian experience with shared beaches, friendly locals, great snorkeling and fantastic surfing. We stayed at Dream Inn in July, just before high season, and want to thank Fayaz for making this holiday truly unforgettable. +) Very friendly staff, family-like atmosphere, great kitchen with superb local & Indian food (Thanks, Chris!) +) “Pull-Entertainment”: No “pushed” animation, but rather effective organization of basically all you ask for (snorkeling, surfing, fishing, island trips, transport service, etc.) +) Good infrastructure (shops nearby, beach just a 2 min walk away)
Review 25:The wifi wasn't working and the food wasn't good at all.
Review 26:Nice room and friendly staff.
Review 27:Great food, staf, room
Review 28:Food, staff and daytrips
Review 29:Staff were extremely helpful, instead of just giving directions to places, they actually took the time to take us personally. Great Maldivian food.
Review 30:Sometimes bathroom smell
Review 31:Staff kindness, confortable room, delicius breakfast, godo oppurtunities to dò many activities and many otterrà things...
Review 32:Wifi is poor (on the island, not only in hotel), realize that Thulusdhoo is a residential island so not alcohol. Tiny piece of beach available. A lot needs to be further developed.
Review 33:There is a lot of personal attention. Tourisme is not so developed at Thulusdhoo but this hotel is working hard to provide the tourist with everything we would want, within their power. Lovely decorated rooms, good restaurant and excellant staff!!!
Review 34:This island is local And THE hotel is to far away from THE beach,,,,, we had a decepción ! THE Owner she wants we paíd at THE moment And Now understand, it was for donnt change THE hotel,,, Regards
Review 35:Overpriced menu compared to the local restaurants on the Island. Beware that service tax, bed tax and government tax is not included when you book your room. We paid 100 usd on top of the bill for 3 night`s
Review 36:Good location, New guesthouse with a charming little garden, 5 minutes from the Beach. We had a little look around, and this was probably one of the nicest guesthouses on the Island. Really good breakfast, continal/maldivian.
Review 37:The overcharge the owner puts on every service, the beach is close but very dirty, to access other activities you have to plan at least 1 day in advance and the price is not competitive. The food service is incredibly slow and the quality often does not meet expectations.
Review 38:The idea of a local guesthouse (culture)
Review 39:-You should carefully read the bills. All prices in the restaurant does NOT include service charge 10% and tax 8%. -The restaurant offers different kind of food but not everything is eatable. Chicken and fish dishes are really tasty. -Pay attention to the standard of the room. Check that everything was on offer is in the room (fridge, TV etc.) -All additional trips organized by the hotel are burdened with high commission. It is better to organize additional trips by yourself.
Review 40:+ amazingly friendly, warm and helpful personnel + good localisation about 3 minutes walking to the bikini beach + clean and comfortable rooms + affordable prices of stay + From the bottom of the heart I can recommend this guest house if you want to have a enjoyable and affordable holidays.
Review 41:Great time, helpful, nice and friendly people! best holidays in my life!:) Thank you all for making my stay so pleasant, relaxing and memorable! Definetely want to come back!
Review 42:We have paid for super deluxe room and ended up getting a deluxe room. No explanation was provided. We have been charged for the transfer to Male and barely got proper seats, which seemed bizare. The so-called buffet lacks variety. In most cases, there is only one main dish, which you should whether you like or not.
Review 43:Quiet and relaxing
Review 44:Everything is new and clean! The staff helps you get along around town and to the airport and are very nice people. Very good price and I had a great time
Review 45:Nothing about the Dream Inn was anything to complain about.
