Review 1:The living space is big and spacious. The area is very convenient with public transport. My partner and I enjoyed the cleaniness and layout of the whole room
Review 2:There was a bad seafood smell from the whole floor and had to call and complaint 6 times to get rid of it. And didnt had proper setup in the rooms either with the towels
Review 3:The price was charged too much for what we got the price should be cheaper and maitence should be good.
Review 4:Over all very good experience. Negatives were we sleep on bed which was two singles pushed together, so middle was hard where two beds joined one side was very soft like a really big person had worn it out. Not comfortable to sleep in. Saying it was a spa hotel we expected a good spa to enjoy not just one spa that was over chlorinated. Charging for Internet was excessive. Disappointed. In saying that the hotel was clean, staff friendly, our room was very nice. We enjoyed the pool and location of hotel. So we can say we enjoyed our time there and recommend to others.
Review 5:Dishwasher did not work that well. Tennis court would have made it a perfect place to stay.
Review 6:Fantastic views from Ocean view room. 2 bedroom apartment was large, modern and amazing views from every room including shower. Very close to beach and shopping.

Review 9:Having to go downstairs to smoke. Being questioned about the towels we used. Well not questioned but when we asked for towels we were asked what for? I must admit we went for a swim in the pool twice sometimes 3 times a day because we couldn't handle the weather plus our showers. So it was, I suppose annoying trying to explain to the front desk why we needed so many towels.

Review 11:Rooms valued at the same price are different in size and furniture, plus staff can be very unfriendly and stubborn to help. I stayed at a one bedroom apartment - ocean view "2403" while my family friend stayed in another "2204". My friend's room was much bigger and the furniture was much more modern which was quite unfair as we paid the same amount. The staff was at first very unhelpful but they moved us to "2404" and the difference was quite clear!
Review 12:The location is amazing, views are spectacular and of course the location of the building is awesome! The main pools are very nice and the BBQ facilites and the theatre were very luxurious and useful.
Review 13:This was my first stay at q1. The A.c was broken all night and after telling the staff they give us a fan . We didn't got what we paid for . I don't think so it was very professional we should have given a different room or some refund. Not a happy customer . Never coming back to q1 again.
Review 14:Staff at the desk telling me that Booking.com had ripped us off with a high booking fee. Of the 4 times we approached the desk for different things we only struck one good, helpful staff member, the other 3 staff had very few customer service skills, it seemed an effort to help even a little bit (we only asked for towels, advice on the restaurant, new cards to get to my sister's floor and where to find the disabled parking spots in the car park - they weren't difficult questions)

Review 16:We were disappointed with the floor level provided - level 11. It was our 34th wedding anniversary and we wanted a great view. Staff at counter were not that helpful. Also the bedspread had stains on it and we didn't have our room serviced on one day even though it was part of the room rate. It was rectified however I had to raise this with the service desk. For what you pay, and the 4.5 star level it has you don't expect this.
Review 17:Location was great and the views to the beach were nice however they were interrupted with buildings in front of you. If we were higher up this wouldn't have been a problem
Review 18:The apartment lacked items which caused inconvenience. For example no ice tray and chopping board in the kitchen. Also reception staff were not very helpful or very friendly...felt they were providing minimal customer service.

Review 28:The air-conditioning was broken and we were told we couldn't change to another room as there weren't any other rooms. When we said we would leave they gave us another room. It was 30 degrees and very uncomfortable without air-conditioning.

Review 33:Rooms have no character very minimalistic no variation of colour except two cushions and the strip at foot of bed. Common areas eg lift areas very depressing colour and looked like in process of repainting same colour. Not what is needed for happy beach holiday. Only 1 tea towel and no dishwashing detergent in room had to go to reception. Blind in 3rd bedroom fell down nearly on top of one guest. It got fixed but if it happens regularly it should be fixed properly. Only apartment anywhere around the world we have stayed with plastic garden chairs and table in dining room.31/2 star Dubai beats it hands down in all areas. Would not recommend it for these reasons and the price was exorbitant even for holiday time in Australia.
Review 34:The cleaner didn't vacuum or sweep the floor or clean the hand basins. Doing beds & taking out the rubbish in the kitchen & the bathroom is not good enough.

Review 36:We booked one bedroom king bed apartment through bookings.com and when we arrived discovered that the room only had a queen size bed. We talked to the staff and showed the printout of our booking confirming that we had booked a room with a king size bed. We were originally advised by staff that this was a common error for people booking via booking.com as the web site advertised all rooms as having a king size bed however there are limited apartments with king size beds. We were advised that all other rooms were booked and we couldn't be moved to another room with a king size bed. We were not happy with this and were going to cancel our accommodation and stay at another motel. When we said that we wanted to cancel the booking the manager found us another room - having to move another customer from this room to our room. The new room had a king size bed and was fine apart from being able to here the water pipes constantly running in the bedroom. We have stayed at the Q1 a number of times over the past few years and every time we go back we seem to get a worse room than the previous one. It is unlikely we will stay there again the next time we go to the Gold Coast.
Review 37:The staff were not overly helpful and informative Ie no trolley to help with luggage on arrival and they told us just to wait - which would have been hours..... They always gave minimum jnformation rather than full details - eg about car parking, breakfast up in the restaurant etc

Review 45:Not sure How this property managed to get a single star. I paid $1700 for 2 nights and was not worth a single penny. 1.Checked in on 26/12, boxing day with another couple and 9 mo. You'd expect that paperwork would be ready for checkin during busy period.However, Yumi @ front desk was experiencing printer problems that took >20 minutes to resolve for booking made >3 weeks in advance and baby wasnt happy 2. Reception staff blatantly refused help with transferring luggage despite pointing out lack of trolleys. Had to call my husband to take a u-turn enroute to an appointment and come back to help carry luggage. Staff are just discordant about pretty much every request.. from coffee to request for dishwashing liquid. They are actually cheap enough to tell you off " These products are only replaced once a day by housekeeping". 3. Furnishings are tired, furniture is bearing rust. Forget coffee machine, our 2 BR suite was not cleaned during our 2 day stay. Only towels are changed, beds made. 4. Q1 does not supply sheets or blankets for portacots. Instead you rely on worn out towels that can double as exfoliants. 5. Ran out of towels for gym/pool at 8:30am. 6. Phone connection to reception is faulty. Kept going to call back messaging, only to be told by reception that there used to be call back that's not active anymore... well.. it IS. 7.... 8....... 9.........

Review 50:Excellent view from our unit. Front desk staff are all very nice and helpful. Although I haven't met with cleaning ladies, we just want to thank them for their job well done. Very good facilities in the apartment. We'll stay again in the future.

Review 53:If I could rate 0 I would.Where do I begin!?!Staff are okay, had a lovely young many sell us our breakfast coupons on the last day of our stay. The longboards restaurant staff, well they were a little rude.We booked an ocean view with spa one bedroom apartment, we had a tiny bathtub with a few jets in it. Not a spa that's for damn sure!Meant to have a king bed, we have two rocks shaped like single mattresses pushed together to make a "king" bed. Ridiculously uncomfortable. At least put a foam pillow topper over them!! an air mattress on the floor is more comfortable!!The blinds block out bugger all light, was woken when the sun come up due to being blinded from the light coming between the blinds. They should give eye masks, or invest in some decent bloody curtains!The "balcony" is a room with a few windows?!The couches are hard and have no sides...The TV in the main bedroom would go bright and then go dark, then bright, then dark. Very frustrating.There was only one tiny little aircon vent in our room, so it's have the aircon cold as hell to cool our room, then freeze in the rest of the apartment. Or have it nice in the rest of the apartment and sweat in the bedroom, no fans!The lighting in the bathroom is so bad I couldn't even do my makeup in there, no exhaust fan!Shower leaked! Toilet roll holder was about ankle height on the wall!And our "ocean view" is more like a glimpse between the building In front of us!No milk to make a drink on arrival!Pillows where either rock hard and far too big or rock hard and far too big!The carpet in the hall is duct taped down and it smells yuck in the hall/lifts.Waiting time for the lifts was an absolute joke too!!When we went to get our tickets for breakfast in the sky you have to line up in reception pay and get them, then line up outside with allThe other chums to get onto level 77 and have breakfast!

Review 55:Ocean view with huge windows, it was love at first sight. I was the one that made the booking and a got a job well done from the kids and the wife. The rooms were great sizes and the lounge room was bigger than even our house. Everything was very clean and in fact cleaners came in every day to do the bed sheets which was a pleasant surprise. I booked the 3 bed room apartment and it even had 3 single beds in one of the rooms which made our sleeping arrangements very flexible. Location is great with the beach a hop away and shops very close as well, also the coffee shop downstairs is very good. Overall we've been to the Gold Coast 4 times already and Q1 is the best place we've stayed by far. I will absolutely book it again next year. Can't recommend it highly enough!!!

Review 71:My bestfriend and I stayed at Q1 for a week and we're happy with everything apart from the horrible house keeping. Our beds were hardly ever made and I'd they were they were dirty sheets and not clean, we actually had to ask the ladies to change our sheets in our week stay. The only thing that was done was a fresh set of towels were brought to us, no wiping, no cleaning or no tidying up what so ever.
Review 72:The staff were all great very friendly and helpful, facilities were to a excellent standard as well as the whole resort itself. The rooms are beautiful and very luxurious as well as the location is on the heart of surfers and is walking distance to everywhere. I didn't even find the need to go to the beach which was a walking distance to Q1 the pools were amazing. And a bonus was having a restaurant/bar right next to the pools with great food.

Review 75:Didnt like the blinds over the windows as they let to much light into the bedroom of a morning. The full glass window in the master bedroom is a bit off putting. Should have a blind or something you can pull up or down

Review 93:The KING SIZE bed in was so hard that we got poor sleep for the 4 nights we stayed. Felt like the check-in staff were reading from cue cards, not genuinely welcoming or helpful. Being our first visit to Q1, would have liked a room with a better view than 9th floor.

Review 97:This particular visit, we had to wait almost two hours to check in due to issues with rooms vacated by outgoing schoolies. This has never happened before and the staff did their very best to manage the situation however it would have been helpful to be told there would be a significant wait rather than being told it will only be another ten minutes each time we lined up to check the progress.
Review 98:We are regular visitors and we are never disappointed. We love love love the Q1. So close to everything including the light rail which is handy for quick trip to Broadbeach with the little ones. The facilities are great and the view from the ocean view rooms is incredible.
Review 99:Room service didnt make bed, spa jet broken, blinds missing, blinds rattled when aircon on in room - needed blackout curtains. Maintenance delivered tv to room at 9am when sleeping in with no prior notice. Walking to pool in togs past reception embarrassing, sauna in toilet! No enforcement of rules around pool. Pool spa unclean.

Review 101:Staff member made me wait over 30 mins to check in as she told me I arrived too early before check in time 2pm... I got there at 1:58pm. I even called the morning of check in to ask if I could check in between 1.30-2pm and they said not a problem. So I was quite disappointed with the service. Also my stay was for 3 nights and the 1st two nights I had a dodgy fire alarm going off every hour right above my bed they didn't fix it till just before I left.

Review 115:Booking a ocean view and requiring for a high floor room before coming. But when I arrived at the hotel, I was allocated to the 21 floorI and that cannot be changed. The 2/3 ocean view is blocked by other building. if u want to have a better view, don't book this hotel. Besides, I arrived at hotel at 11, but I have to wait till 2. As for the house keeping, we wake up late, and asked them to do it in the afternoon, but they didn't. I asked the front desk receptionist twice to do it, they ignored my request(I'm not a foreigner).Finally, they provided me with the new towlers etc but didn't clean the apt. The quilt is uncomfortable; Hair drier cannot work sometimes; $15/day Wi-Fi signal cannot be found in bedroom, but living room and balcony are good. If you can find the similar price hotel at Suffer Paradise, this hotel will be igonored!! The price is not cheap, but the hotel is 'cheap'

The hotel seems to be in a bad shape with the carpets stinking, there was rust all over the utensils, the iron board cloth was so dirty..They were about to paint the doors during our stay until we asked them not to do so and the lift lobbies of all the levels were stinking..The guy over the phone said they have plenty of options to choose from in the morning of the check-in day and after we reached, we were told that there in only one room left for us. Rest everything is fully booked. So, even after paying for an ocean view room, we ended up in a room with almost no ocean view.
Review 129:1) The staff weren't very welcoming, I checked in but had to return to the desk because the key didn't work on my room the staff didn't upload it correctly. 2) I had what appeared to be a double bed but it was 2 single beds pushed together, so I sunk in the middle all 5 pillows were far to soft. 3) The pool water was freezing you couldn't enjoy a swim just a quick dunk to cool off it kinder gave you a brain freeze. 4) Nothing in the room was complimentary everything had a price too it even the Shampoo & Conditioner. 5) No Free Wi-Fi, you had to pay for the use of the Internet what a disgrace the Backpacker place down the road had free Wi-Fi. 6) 4 lifts & still had to wait on average 10-20 minutes for a lift didn't matter what time of the day. 7) Rubbish room stank I nearly vomited every time I had to take Rubbish to this room. 8) Peak season & they decide to paint room doors so the whole floor stank of paint for good 72hours - this should be done in quite season NOT PEAK. 9) Spa in the complex over priced $150 for a 60min remedial massage disgraceful
Review 130:Nothing I wouldn't stay there again not would or could I recommend it to anyone, worst Resort / Hotel I have ever stayed in, made my trip unpleasant & I left a night early to come home!!!
Review 131:The kitchen tape has no cold water, because the pipe was twisted, I have mention this problem to reception staff, but until we leave no one come to fix, so we have use hot water to wash the dishes in 9 days.

Review 133:we are a group of 7 (3+2+2) i book for 3 bed rooms apt but the main room the bed to small can't fit in 3 first i think the main room would be king size but it's not....not feel comfy.

Review 135:Service was below average. Only 1 person on the front desk at most times. Observation Deck service was appalling (waited 20 mins for 2 drinks and then when they arrived were undrinkable). Work being done throughout the building impacted our stay with the strong smell of enamel paint that was quite nauseating.
