Reviews for Villaggio Olimpico Sestriere
Review 1:They do however add an obligatory 4€ per person and night for basicservices (parking, gym, wifi etc), apparently due to being a"resort" and not a "hotel". Stayed in an apartmentroom for one night. There were no free wifi in the room, only in thecommon areas like the reception. The rooms are very noisy, you get a lotof sound from the corridor and other rooms. Even the bedroom is lit upwhen someone passes in the corridor, very annoying. The hot water waspretty cold at ~11:00 am. The apartments are basic and a bit worn down.Would not recommend it for a longer stay, but ok for a one night stay.
Review 2:Excellent service from the staff fairly decent priced, taken intoconsideration that breakfast was included. Also got two drink vouchersfor the bar, and a generous late checkout.
Review 3:In my building F in the bedroom the audibility was really horrible. The bedroom located near the corridor and you can hear every single sound from it. When somebody is just talking - you think they are talking in your bedroom and lying on your bed. So if somebody is a bit loud, what was the case every morning - you can forget to sleep a bit longer. No chance!!! The breakfast was also medium quiality, but for italian breakfast ok.
Review 4:Wellness center is great! Tryed different massages and was very satistied. Allthough the duration for jacuzzi and turkish bath visits could be longer, 30 min is really not enough!!!
Review 5:Wifi was hopeless in public areas and not in rooms Was asked for 10 euros to replace broken room key card - flatly refused Not the best self catering facilities - no kettle or toaster
Review 6:Location opposite lifts Breakfasts were good Big apartment Good gym
Review 7:Corridor that leads to the pool is always very cold . Swimming pool is very far away from rooms . Sauna is very small and requires an additional charge . Very poor maintenance .

Review 9:room to far away from all facilities bed was very very basic sleep quality not good heating system is not working toilet flush not working no wifi but included corridors not clear way arguing reception no joy waste of money

Review 11:Where to start? Wristband mentioned by others that you have to buy to get access to a gym most guests wont use and a small pool. The pool is closed on Sundays. The spa facilities are charged extra at an absolutely ridiculous rate. 40e per person for 90mins in a sauna (broken), hot tub and steam room. They still wanted 40e despite the fact the Sauna was broken. The hotel feels very tired. Cracked tiles in hall ways, smashed window on our balcony. The bedding was poor quality and whilst our block was quiet the paper thin walls could cause noise issues if you were booked with the wrong crowd. Bright yellow corridors that seem to go on for ever. I will return to Sestriere, Sauze d'olux next summer but I'll be looking for a different hotel.
Review 12:Absolutely stunning local landscape Indoor secure parking Close to gondola Decent hot shower OK value for money OK Breakfast I'm really struggling to find too many more positives.
Review 13:Services such as swimming pool, spa etc. All closed on Sundays and evenmornings. We payed for them. Had to buy a card to buy food and drinksThe bathroom was very bad, no room to sit on the wc The tv was like a1960 model. The complex is 8 years old (2006 olympics)
Review 14:Location Personnel
Review 15:Massive hotel with all facilities you would want/ expect at this star rating - and staff were all lovely
Review 16:extra charges for facilities we never used
Review 17:great location, friendly staff, value for money
Review 18:8 Euro per night you have to pay additional for a car you dont need.
Review 19:Nice hotel one Freeware drink
Review 20:Too long checking in! Not a 4 stars hotel!!! Infrastructure and rooms very old! Breakfast very poor!
Review 21:Nothing!!!
Review 22:Great location, right across from ski lift.
Review 23:overcharge me to the fitness that i didn't use
Review 24:Hotel , price , food at the buffet , next to the slope
Review 25:Breakfast is always the same
Review 26:A big hotel include almost everything.room is very big
Review 27:I felt I had a room in a shopping mall.
Review 28:It was available.
Review 29:the whole area is empty and most of the shops/restaurans are closed at summer time
Review 30:price, location
Review 31:The bathroom was falling apart, the breakfast was poor but the biggest downside was the shrieking, singing, arguing drunks trawling the corridors until 4a.m. on the Friday and Saturday nights. The bedroom was next to the corridor and bright as day at all hours, from the corridor lights.
Review 32:The room had a nice big living room and balcony, the location was good for skiing, and the bar area in the Village was nice.
Review 33:you are issued with a wrist tag which you have to keep on your wrist for the whole of your stay, which allows you access into the swimming pool, dining room etc. The rooms are situated in blocks connected by long corridors, which gives the feel of being in a hospital. Any drinks have to be bought by a pre-paid card or credit card - no cash payments allowed.
Review 34:the hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the lifts and you can buy your ski lift pass in the hotel
Review 35:No convenient place to park the car at check-in/check-out time. Room walls had some marks and dents that need painting. Swimming pool is on the small side.
Review 36:Cleanliness, excellent housekeeping and sense of security. Good location for ski lift access. Amazing restaurant food at the hotel's Free Flow self-serve restaurant
Review 37:Rooms are very very noisy, you can ear people moving and talking both in the corridor and in above/below/next rooms. There's a 15€ fee per room to have access to facilities (gym and a very small and cold pool)...problem is that it's not optional but mandatory. And it's not mentioned neither included in the Booking price.
Review 38:Location is perfect, just few meters away from the slopes. Price is fair enough. Garage is a nice plus. Rooms are very basic but ok.
Review 39:Buying a card to be able to get drinks at the bar, non refundable. bathroom very old. Lights outside of the bedroom cannot close, so no sleep with our eye cover...
Review 40:All inclusive, close to slopes and short walk into town. Everything you need is inside the olympic village itself
Review 41:The beds were extremely firm. The picture of the swimming pool shows a boy swimming without a swimming cap, but you need to bring one or buy one to swim and the pool closes early (20:30) and is closed on Sundays. The do have a sauna and a jacuzzi, but we did not know before we arrived you had to pay the spa complex to use it as part of a treatment. Overall, value not worth the price. We had a good time, but probably will not stay there again.
Review 42:Enjoyed the closeness to the ski lifts and the underground parking.
Review 43:Location is very good, 50 meters to the ski lifts. There are a lot offresh fruits on the breakfast. Room equipped with all necessary forcooking. Every day room cleaning. Fitness with swimming pool.Underground warm parking. Amazing mountain view from the balcony.
Review 44:Bit out of the centre of Sestriere. Huge complex.
Review 45:Huge suite of rooms. Modern furniture. Good internet connection. Indoor car parking. Terrific value for money.
Review 46:Annoyed that we were charged €62 on arrival due to a small printrequirement. We were ignored when neither of the 4 of us wanted to jointhe sports club
Review 47:Zero sound insulation rooms from the corridor. A complex system oftransition between the residential blocks. No drying room for skiboots, only the locker. A small restaurant for dinner, there may be aqueue at the entrance. Hard to understand system of service in therestaurant. Very simple furnishings in the room for the pricecharged. Old furniture. The cold tiled floor in the room. Sometimesit is an unpleasant smell in the hallways. Only one key of a doubleroom. Old small tv.
Review 48:Close to the ski lift. Clean rooms. Large outdoor parking. Bigunderground garage. Own supermarket. Has a Russian tv channel. Goodlighting in the room. Good kitchen equipment in the room. Russian-speaking staff member at the front desk.
Review 49:No wifi in room is unacceptable for this kind of modern establishment.
Review 50:LOCATION is excellent
Review 51:Club payment - payed money for almost nothing.
Review 52:Position, friendly staff, big apartment and good room service.
Review 53:Expensive and built very cheaply
Review 54:Breakfast and very uncomfortable pillows
Review 55:position facilities clean enough
Review 56:Noise levels. Window in the bedroom into the hall lets light in during the night and makes the noise situation worse.
Review 57:Clean room
Review 58:Complicated heating and lighting system -
The Fine Print
