Reviews for Hyundai Hotel Gyeongju

Review 1:There was a poor level of English. They didn't read any of my special requests. No information was given about the hotel and facilities when I checked in. When asking the concierge about simple train information, after waiting 30 minutes, I was given wrong, outdated information. No hotel pickup service. No global atm. No tours arranged and only one suggested, was in Korean, not English. It's a good hotel and staff can do basic pleasantries but competent customer service was abysmal.

Review 2:It had a beautiful view, and the breakfast was very varied and of good quality.

Review 3:We stayed 3 nights and had 2 mountain view rooms. (1) Air conditioning in the room was temperamental throughout the stay. One night, it stopped working in the middle of the night and we had to sleep with the balcony door open. (2) Quality of food (room service) and in the Sara cafe was ordinary for the price. (3) An additional charge for use of the swimming pool. I am well travelled globally and have never had to pay for use of the swimming pool in any hotel where I am a guest! They wanted us to pay for our kids using the pool (which we did after expressing our dissatisfaction). What really annoyed me was that they wanted my husband and I to pay an admission fee to be at the pool side (we wanted to keep an eye on the kids). We refused to pay that as a matter of principal. Note that there is no mention of an additional charge for use of the swimming pool on any internet sites related to this hotel. (4) There is no safe in the room (5) the surrounding area (mountains and artificial lake) is beautiful but the location itself is a distance from the main town/sights. If this is pitched as a top end hotel in Gyeongju, it should strive to match the standards of one. Only the lobby looks impressive like a five star.

Review 4:(1) The mountain view from the room (2) size of the room is large (3) the knowledgeable concierge (4) housekeeping (cleaning quality) (5) the bakery shop in the lobby

Review 5:Rate is a bit expensive as it's not including breakfast, room needs to be refurbished, toilet is smelly.

Review 6:Location and the view from my room.

Review 7:the bathroom looks a bit old, the breakfast option really expensive.

Review 8:spacious bathroom, extra shower separated from the bathtub.

Review 9:Very sparse opportunity to have a drink in the evening in the bar area unless you wanted a whole bottle of wine!

Review 10:Beautiful room, with an amazing view

Review 11:The air-con was a headache. The temperature was defaulted and it would automatically switch off itself so the room could be stuffy. Furniture quite dated. The cupboard door of the fridge was hanging off.

Review 12:We had a room overviewing the lake and it was gorgeous, especially at sunset. We had our breakfast at the balcony. It was awesome! The shower was strong and bath was great. Wi-fi was strong. Room was spacious.

Review 13:Outdoor pool was closed. Breakfast was expensive (but delicious and served with a smile).

Review 14:Amazing views, very helpful staff to non-korean speakers. Business center was nice and convenient. Great live music.

Review 15:restaurant closes a bit too early (9pm)

Review 16:perfect location, helpful staff, free wi-fi, large comfortable room

Review 17:the air-conditioning is not working, it is very hot at night.

Review 18:the door staff is so helpful and handsome.
